Unless you play with friends who are very optimal. If solo, then yeah, you deserve respect.
-
Totem spawns should be improved though, it's supposed to be something that is hard to find and not something that just greets you right next to a generator. Though, TOTH can work well if you really want it to stay up.
But 4 survivors looking for ruin? That's such a timewaste, if I see other teammates are looking for it I usually just continue on working on generators.
-
@Yamaoka said:
The better question is: Why do survivors spawn next to the ruin AND together while the killer spawns on the other side of the map resulting in 3 perk games all the time?
I wish I had that more often as survivor. I seem to spawn near the killer a lot lately, sometimes 10 seconds after the match started I'm already in a chase.
-
Sarcastic joke that has been used way, way too much.
-
Probably just Dead by Daylight again... *sigh*. Hopefully it gets fixed soon and I can play normally again.
Edit; Seems to be Steam yeah as I can't message others too
-
I would change the community. Get rid of all the toxic entitled people.
-
Many entitled people in this game that want to dominate the opponent. Try to keep hopes up because there are still good people in this community.

People do recycle that joke way too much. Especially the doctor meme. It was funny the first few posts and now its just... meh.
Yeah you feel me.

There is this really annoying bug around that disconnects you for no reason.
-
Like you must own a very boring sense of humor to find something funny that you see over and over.

Yeah I rather play Turing Test than this, sounds like a awful puzzle instead of a horror game.

No Mither with SC

These days I'm considering taking a break too, but mainly because tunneling and camping has been increased while there's no reason for it to be done (all gens still up with ruin active) and my teammates are usually bigger potatoes than me. But leaving a game because of a perk mainly... Yeah, seems like you need a break lol.
-
Perk saved me twice now. Because of the short sprint burst you get after getting hit you can make it to a pallet or loop.
-
If it's so super annoying as some people say... Why not just take 10 seconds of your time muting the game/minimizing until the match starts? It's just 1 sentence every now and then, it's not a whole speech.

I mainly play survivor but the objective indeed gets done quite fast. Which does not just harm the killer pointswise but also the survivors as the matches don't take long enough to pip when generators have been done rapidly. I really want to see a second objective besides working on those generators that become boring when playing for thousands of hours. I think adding a 6th generator would be fair too. I don't even care about escaping, what I do care about is getting enough points to get a pip if possible so I get closer to ranks where they have a lot more knowledge about the game. Looping is fine as it is though, you can never avoid strong survivors running you around no matter what change you'd make. What you can do though is leave the stronger survivors and go for the weaker ones.
Thanatophobia is a odd perk to me, I never really understood why it's effect went away after the injured survivor has died. But that's what we got Dying Light for I guess.
I would always support more objectives or an objective that would take longer to complete just to not end matches so fast.

@JoannaVO Now we just need to communicate to the devs that folks would be willing to pay a fair amount for a completely unique survivor bundle.
@Peasant And that is where many things become a issue..

@JoannaVO Let's get straight to business then, would you pay $10.00 for such a DLC? Hmm, actually you can make infinite skins so perhaps $10.00 is too low. How about $15.00 for such a DLC? Now that I think about it you are getting the power to make 2 skins infinitely . . . how about $20.00 for the DLC. How much are you willing to pay for such a dlc at most? @JoannaVO
Since Dead by Daylight is one of my main games I would not hesitate spending a bit. After all I save the money I'd usually spend on games that have a much higher price tag. I wouldn't pay like $500 dollars, but like for the basic package to build your own character, probably $60-$100 at max. I wasted a lot of money into Auric Cells anyway to get as many outfits as possible on any character, but for me the idea of having a character that you can fully customize to your wishes sounds much more pleasant than the current limited customizing where nobody is really unique.
-
I recently started playing Elder Scrolls Online which is why I have no bloodpoints for the coming character, too bad.
-
People that keep on switching their character super fast in the lobby because my ping becomes unbearable. I sometimes leave too when a person seems very toxic looking at their name and profile.
-
They would assure you hitboxes are fine

It'd be a heck of a way to make a profit. Just make a new female survivor and a new male survivor nicknamed "Lost" and "Forsaken". Let players customize their appearances however they please within the confines of the game and then sell the DLC for a profit.
O. M. G. Yes! Would pay loads of money to be able to touch perfection
-
As long as it's not like Friday the 13th where ''Oh my God, is that a dead body?'' kept jumpscaring me :P
-
Bodyblocking is an offense you can report for, as the in-game report system states.
If you want reports to go through way faster, I'd include video evidence of the player committing the offense.
-
@TheBean You make it sound as if everything they try to develop is horrendous, which it's not. I'm quite sure that eventually they are able to come with a matchmaking system that is pleasant for everybody.
-
But they just released a new killer. The fact that they release a new survivor so soon after a chapter came out already amazes me. I think we should be grateful, after all, since we've been given a whole new chapter recently they were not forced to even give us a chapter that only contains a survivor.

Yeah but my point is it’s not fun to just play hide and seek and that’s it. These survivors aren’t learning how to loop or play smart. They are just being taught it’s good to play Claudette and hide in a bush the whole game. I feel like for killer that’s dull and for other survivors who want to actually escape its just depressing.
A healthy dose of hide and seek is normal in a survival horror game. Intentionally hiding for ages to keep the game hostage is not, but you can report those for holding the game hostage.
-
It's not that hard to get stacks, just perform unhooks (safe please) and take a hit near someone injured and you're good. Perk doesn't need any buff. It's good to use when you want BP faster, if you want any kind of aura reading then just use any other perk as there are so many perks that allow you to read aura's or open exit gates faster. If they'd buff WGLF, those perks would literally stay untouched which is a waste.
-
@SpacingLlamas I think BHVR gets scared away because they have to pay x% to the license holders which is why they'd rather release cosmetics for original chapters.
-
Really sucks to go against people like that, but it's not like there's no counter against it. Use Whispers, it usually helps you find the people who hide for fun.
-
Disconnecting definetly is unsportsmanlike, it does not benefit anybody. I think the current system should be more sensitive to disconnecting because people do seem to get away with it way too often. I'm sure that nobody is scared of the punishment glued to disconnecting as it requires you to disconnect so often, that the game isn't even 'fun' for the person that keeps on disconnecting.
-
@SpacingLlamas said:
@JoannaVO I've seen someone else say the same thing. Hopefully that's the case and their able to convince them to let them add more for those characters.
Makes sense when you think about it. They usually have a higher income with cosmetics for original chapters, but maybe cosmetics for licensed chapters will be loved more. Which I personally doubt.
-
Maybe if this turns out to be successful they'll consider adding cosmetics for other licensed chapters more.

@JoannaVO make sure to @ people. Quoting them doesn't notify them anymore. Hoping the fix it soon.
I had a killer face camp me and another person he caught 'cause someone took out his ruin at the start of the game. He was also being salty about a perk I was using, which was hilarious.
Yeah, it's crazy what a new eblem system can do to people xD
-
Lol yeah I've had it multiple times too in the Swamp map. Sometimes, very rare, they even spawn pretty much in front of the exit door lever or the door itself.

And here comes sense of franklin demise perk, because it will not be toxic anymore and thats the way how to counteract this
It's not just items, it's also perks that can be very strong against certain killers.
-
I don't think Hag would be able to defend herself as much. She is very small and skinny which makes her very vulnerable despite her long nails. But oh I'd pay money to see Legion get beaten up by buffed david or even buffed Myers C:
-
Might sound rude, but if you really can not play the game because of a condition you have you might consider playing something else? Like how some people with epilepsy cannot play certain games either. We cannot completely balance a game around 1 condition which affects less than 1% of the playerbase. You can also consider getting a special screen filter, they exist for colorblind people too I'm sure.
The scratchmarks in Mount Ormond are just messy and get everywhere and nowhere, which makes it hard to sometimes trace a survivor down. Don't think that specifically has anything to do with color.
-
The nicest thing killers have done for me is probably just messing around with me, not all to sweaty or serious but just fun for 15 minutes.
Also have been given the hatch multiple times after getting farmed off the hook, which I very much appreciated too.
-
Why don't you just use Breakdown? Literally does what you want.
-
It's nothing new that strangers usually only take and not give. I sometimes get killers add me too and they ask me to do them a favor but I usually deny the request and leave the lobby. Farming (limited) only seems fair when you're in a game with only 2 people.
-
That's just way too strong. If people would know they'd go against a trapper, they would bring in a sabo toolbox. And a flashlight with Hag and Wraith. If people don't want to play against a specific killer, then they should start playing killer only and spend all day with the killer they desire.

Any advice? New pipping system sucks. I wish we could just go back to the victory cube ;—;
Try to go for the achievement when rank reset just happened, I usually do it too and it saves me a lot of pain.
-
Uhm, I got merciless victory a few days ago with her and unlocked the perk fine. Probably have to get merciless, makes sense considering the achievement tells you to get merciless victory and with the current emblem system sacrificing all four survivors isn't necessarily being close to merciless victory.
-
A good product always takes multiple tries, where slight improvements come and by the knowledge and feedback they gain over the failed systems they can create a matchmaking system in the near future that will actually stick around for years. Just be patient and don't expect perfection in one try.
-
The Legion's power pretty much puts a timer on your chase and assures the killer it won't be as long, especially when they're moonwalking.

look at the forum, for most of the ppl the new matchmaking is working better. especially for red ranks and console players. now, a lot of ppl cant play the game anymore.
Red ranks having tougher times to find lobbies is also because of the new emblem system, I'm quite sure. Many people were unable to keep their rank after it became much harder to pip. As rank 6 survivor currently I find lobbies within a few seconds, and finding lobbies as killer has no time increase either, but that's for me atleast. FYI, I play in Europe.

yep. i noticed a lot of tunnelers and campers. and most common ones are these who stay 16 meters further from the hooked person so they don't depip and camp him. too ######### i know
Wish they had some distance in my matches too, atleast I would be able to unhook the people with BT, but nope. Hardcore face camping :')
