So many rank 1s that have a "friend" who is new!
Just create a new account and play from there. At least it will be more fair as you will have to start without any teachables.
Or can't you play against a rank 20 without DS, Adrenaline, Dead Hard and BT?

Any killer that claims this change is good is delusional.
This guy in the OP just wants to play with friends.
Guess you gonna have to find another game or create another account buddy !
This change is good.

That's why I said they should have just change the matchmaking to pick a killer rank above the average.
Don't get me wrong, I play both sides and I know what it feels like to face red rank swf with OoO as yellow rank killer. This should obviously never happen.
I just think to only choose the highest rank in the lobby is also wrong. If you want to get a new friend into the game, you also have to look after them and help them a little out (and I don't mean to carry them, but explaining the basic stuff, show them how to use pallets, they will mess up skill checks, no chance against hex:ruin, etc.).
So if I'm in red ranks and have a low rank friend (let's say yellow), I think a killer in purple rank would be a good match for all sides. The killer would get some kills for sure and the survivor side also can get a few blood points and no one will get depression.
And I still ask myself, what rank would the randoms have? If I only play with my yellow rank friend, is there a chance that we also get yellow rank randoms? This would be crazy...
I believe the random will be selected independently of the SWF. After all, they get less benefit from the others being SWF.
1 red rank survivor in an SWF with 2 rank 10s should enter a lobby with a rank 1 solo survivor and a rank 1 killer (dependent on availability)

Its frustrating, but does any of this really matter when de-ranking is so damn easy and common?
People that want to stomp on lesser skilled players will still just derank.
It's an important step towards making exploiting rank more difficult. Many survivors don't necessarily do it to bully but they will discuss who is the lowest rank survivor to form the lobby. This fix will at least eliminate that.

Fixing the issue would have provided a middle ground where 3 rank 1's up with a rank 20 wouldn't end up against a rank 20, but instead a rank 7/8. Killers at that rank usually already have to deal with red rank solo and swf survivors anyway, so it wouldn't be punishing them at all.
Oh well, doesn't affect me, but it's a bad; fittingly lazy change.
Three rank 1s and a rank 20 would destroy a rank 7/8 killer. The rank 20 will be a smurf account anyway.
-
It was always interesting how the rank 20 teammate knew where all the pallets were, could loop the killer, identify the infinites and flashlight save just as well as his three red rank teammates.
Very interesting.
-
Yes, toxic people just choose to be survivors. Lovely people choose to be killers.
I don't know why this is.

@NoShinyPony said:
Why do some people think it's fine matching a low rank killer against high rank survs but matching a low rank surv against a high rank killer is unfair?
Because the survivors get to choose.
-
Some SWFs were clearly abusing smurf accounts to ensure that they could bully new players.
This is wonderful news!
-
Yes. Its bollocks.
-
Twice now, the entity has made me pick Discordance 2 in the Bloodweb because I was avoiding the only other alternatives, trash teachables.
Very annoying.
-
I'd love them to being him back as a brand new killer, just call him the Sandman or something. His numbers should be tweaked a little but not everyone considered him the worst killer.
However, I'd feel ripped off if they made him one of the regular seasonal chapters.

You realize they have survival rate stats that completely contradict what you are saying here right?
There are stats that claim the Clown is the worst killer. But he isn't. That's the thing about stats. They are designed to convey the message you want them to convey.
-
You need more than good headphones. I can locate a crouching Nea by smell alone.

This is gonna sound really bad and like I lose games a whole lot but I typically try to abide by the following:
-Don't facecamp or camp intentionally whatsoever before endgame - during endgame patrolling is fine but not like hardcore camping.
-Don't tunnel on purpose- if you down the same survivor twice in a row then slug em and find someone else
-Don't be an ass to survivors, they won't be an ass to you
-Be as nice as possible in post-game chat
-Encourage others to play as fair as they can
-If I feel bad for them I'll farm for a bit but end up with them all on hook most of the time.
Can I just say that @Doddle28 says it how I feel. Don't camp intentionally before endgame and don't tunnel on purpose.
Sometimes a survivors own bad luck will lead them to been found very soon after an unhook. I feel a little guilty about re-hooking them the second time but the third time I'll pick them up and then let them go.
However, when you have played nice but have no kills and there is only one gen left, some friendly light tunneling seems appropriate. Everyone has had time to have some fun and earn some points.
-
So to summarise then:
Acceptable reasons for a survivor to lobby dodge: any
Acceptable reasons for a killer to lobby dodge: none
Good to know!
-
Oh so it's a transitive trust. That means we can trust @8obot1c.
That's my understanding and I'm sticking with it.
-
@GrootDude - Sorry that looked like it was aimed at you. It wasn't! You posted while I was typing.
-
It's like a trusted review on a shopping website. It means "take what they say with a pinch of salt".
-
@MegsAreEvil - How far out was it for you? For me if it said 3 minutes it would drop down to 2 after roughly a minute and then to 1 and then I'd get a lobby.
It was certainly much more accurate than "Please hold the line. You are 3rd in the queue, your estimated wait time is 5 minutes. Your call is important to us"
-
And it was accurate!
I usually find that I get a matchup about 2 seconds after I start whining about not getting a matchup. The Entity is listening!
-
I don't think it does mean that the killer is fairly new though. Playing killer I've seen people lobby dodge when everyone has a very low ping and after the game the survivor that was "dodged" was the only low rank player out of everyone.
But I do agree that these matchups simply should not happen.
-
@Mochan But I love my hatred.
-
@MemberBerry I'm amazed at how quickly people figure out clever ways to abuse new perks. Well I'm not going to be the one that says DS shouldn't activate from being pulled out of a locker.
-
The more people that run it, the less power NoEd will have. It also means survivors will spend more time looking for totems which gives the killer some much needed breathing room. You should buy it, it's a great perk. Nancy is great too.
-
I wanted Steve and Robin. But Robin is only in season 3 so I didn't think she would be chosen. Now that we have Steve and Nancy I am pleased with how they both turned out.
-
I'm too old. How am I living in a world were trying my best is an insult?

While this is a good idea, the problem is that it stops experienced players playing with their friends who have now got it, and helping them learn the game.
So it will be great for their friend but unfortunately they are playing a brand new rank 20 killer who will make a decision this week whether to buy the game or not. That killer WILL NOT be buying the game.
Red rank survivors playing rank 20 killers WILL be teabagging, they WILL be flashlight-clicking, they WILL be using every toxic perk.
If someone is genuinely a rank 20 survivor, playing with red rank SWF friends, they will be easily be able to carry you against a red rank killer.
-
@NMCKE AND if you are the lowest rank in the lobby, you can put your feet up for the match because no expectations!
-
For any older people reading, this one isn't even fake. This 70s kids show really did get turned into a horror movie. Shame they were robots (not a spoiler btw)
-
@Raptorrotas - You think it is hypocrisy to want to narrow the gap between the stronger and weaker killers? Please explain how that is hypocrisy. I play all the killers.
And who exactly are you quoting here? I'm pretty sure you aren't quoting me!
-
@BlueFang - Wish I knew about that before making my post. Ash at the top and Nea at the bottom though!
-
Awesome. Now I'm wanting a Scoops Ahoy outfit for Gordon!
-
I'd hate this against Hillbilly but I'd love it playing as Leatherface. I'd rather it stay as it was to avoid giving Hillbilly another buff and just accept that I can't make good use of it on Bubba.
-
Will the Stranger Things characters continue to receive new cosmetics, and if so, will they be restricted to clothing they wore in the series?
For example: Scoops Ahoy for Nancy.
-
I'm confused that the ranks are shown. I thought the devs didn't want it because survivors would lobby dodge more than the killers do.
However, I agree. I like it, but I feel a lot of pressure to do well when I am 5 ranks higher than everyone else in the lobby.
-
S Tier: Claudette, Nea
A Tier: Meg, Laurie, Kate
B Tier: Ace, David King
C Tier: Dwight, Feng, Adam
D tier: Tapp, Jane, Bill, Jake, Jeff, Ash
F Tier: Quentin
I think Dwight gets a bad reputation, I think he is a solid C tier player. I have never know a Quentin give me any both. I'm not sure about the 2 new characters though.
-
@KiraElijah - I see that @GrootDude is now "trusted". Would you trust him to look after your sandwich without him eating it or is the forum lying to us?
-
The tiny room with a one person gen upstairs where as soon as you start working on the gen you realise, if the killer comes now, I'm dead.
-
@Clover1 - It isn't an off chance of getting the new map though. The map choice algorithm always heavily favours the new new map for a few days and then they slowly lower the frequency of getting it until it is no more favoured than the others.
-
It is a very cool map. Very complicated though. It's going to be tough to learn without getting a pen and paper and trying to draw the map.
-
It is a very good idea. Add Windows of Opportunity and Small Game and the killer will think you've been playing the map for years.
-
I've never known DBD to crash. Maybe I'm just lucky.
And yes you DO lose your party streamers and have all your points taken off if the killer DCs. Now if dedicated servers had worked, neither of these would be a problem AND the killer would have a recorded DC on their record.

Marshmallow Man
-
keys should be removed they don't belong in this game anymore
-
Standard bot response right there.
-
@GrootDude I suspect you are a bot.
-
I'd only change the yellow one. Make it Mori the obsession rather than the last survivor. It's useless as it is now.
-
I don't want to see robo-chucky but I would be OK with the original.
We have enough clowns in the game already so I don't want Pennywise in the game (I also hate the incorrect capitalisation of IT, unless his Mori includes installing Windows on my PC, it should be capitalized, "It").
-
Killers are getting some easy games in ranks below red because they are good enough to be in red ranks but struggle to rank up whereas survivors can have quite poor games and rank up quite easily.
I know the points are based on entertaining the entity but its no fun for the survivors who are facing a mis-ranked slugging @Grootdude who rightly wants to play his preferred playstyle.
4K or 3K plus hatch really should be a pip
