I know people have claimed that a DC counts as a kill for SBMM, I don't think the devs have ever confirmed it. It might be a null to avoid people DCing to drop their rank.
-
How on earth am I supposed to un-learn all the old names?
-
I got mine okay on PC.

Do you think they might have timed this announcement specifically because they knew the event, the mid-chapter release, and skins would get people clamoring to drop money on it?
Like, they weren't going to announce it any other time - they knew they had to announce it now so you're going to get major FOMO vibes and spend money and support their immoral NFT decision.
Yes, they probably knew that they would get a day of everyone being rightfully upset and hoped it would then be overwhelmed by conversation centred around Mikaela and the new content.
A cynical person might say introducing a huge bug would do the same thing.

How can I write the date using numbers without confusing Muricans?
Gotta say it was funny when I first say a MMDDYYYY date. I really wondered why there were 20 months.
YYYY-MM-DD

I don't like the way you wrote it, it's like OP is making fun of it, even happy. It's not a good thing when someone else get screwed due to a bad company movement.
I can assure you, there is nothing to make fun of here. I don't think anybody is happy other than those that seem to want this game to die.

i requested one more sale in feedback if you want to add your voice to it. maybe they'll give us one last chance before they're gone.
I think they should. We didn't even know that Jonathan Byers was getting voice lines until after the sale finished. The Steve voice is unique and was offputting for me with the Jonathan skin. They can only gain from having a final closing down sale.

Would the new end-game collapse be rising sea levels that drown all the survivors?

but what if we don't have the right kind of computer version to download epic games
will i just be screwed
epic games is not compatible on my computer
There is also the Microsoft Store.
-
Would this be the first killer that is actually capable of killing itself?
-
No your data is all stored by BHVR so its safe. You might have to move to another platform though. Epic Games will probably take ownership if they actually did get banned.
-
Who do I use my Moris on then?
-
I'll be equipping my full totem-cleansing build for my Mikaela! Everyone will think it's the Nancy cleansing all the totems. Mwa-ha-ha!
-
I'm looking forward to digging up my old PS4 from the garden and finally getting the "Where did they go?" trophy for my Platinum.
I fear how bad the frame-rate will be though!
-
In the old system, new killers would face 1000+ hour red ranks and 4-person SWFs as soon as they hit green ranks.
Now if you are good, you face good players. As it should be.
-
Prop Night looked really interesting, until I saw the survivors just turn into crates and vegetables and then bounce around. What on earth were they thinking?
VHS is just another "kill the killer" game. At least when I lose as killer at DBD, I usually have some mini-win conditions I can take heart from. I think a few hard defeats on that game will be enough to draw people back to DBD.
-
Coldwind farm. I think if you took the old coldwind farm, and then just put it back, that would be really good.
-
1) I think it will put killers off knowing how popular SWF is. It's probably SWF in most matches. I wouldn't want to discourage people playing killer any more than they already are. I'd be happy to see the team icons at the end of the match so I can know whether to blame overpowered SWF at the end of the match or myself.
2) I think the MMR itself should decide this, and maybe already does by the nature of good SWFs escaping most matches.
3) Surely the killer should the the one to get the bonus points?

The ranking system does not motivate . It gives me the feeling why play. I get rewarded 250000 bloodpoints wow in one game i receive 32000 bloodpoints. I do play a lot of DBD over 2300 hours . But now it feels stupid to play. I hope and know there are a lot of players who feel the same : LET THE CUSTOMER SERVICE KNOW YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS.
So before when ranks meant nothing, and gave no reward and you were rank 1, you were happy.
Now that grades also mean nothing, but give you a small reward, you are unhappy because you can't see the meaningless number 1 on your screen?
Get a sticker, write the number 1 on it and stick it on the top-right of your monitor. Because that is as meaningful as your old rank 1 was.

NOED can't spawn on a boon totem, so all survivors have to do is cleanse one dull totem if they don't want it to spawn, assuming four boons are up. While that's not that likely, it's about as likely as all five dull totems being broken, so NOED is going to be in the exact same spot.
That's interesting. What if the killer squishes a boon totem after the gens are done, will that activate Noed?
If so, it might make sense for survivors to leave the dull totem alone and come back and cleanse it if Noed is in play.
-
Once Boon totems are out, survivors will not be cleansing so Noed will be even more powerful.
-
It's not a ranking system, its a playtime reward system. Only try to get to Grade I if you want 250,000 bloodpoints, otherwise just play as normal.
-
This idea would encourage solo players to go for that end-game save instead of abandoning the person on the hook.

It certainly seems to be working. I will tell you my interesting results at the end. Its too early to form a conclusion yet. As far as I know this will work. Since I did it on my Demo two weeks ago then worked my way back up to 1900. It should in theory only take 40 games, I am taking extra precautions.
I believe that I am the worst Huntress EU. There was a rift challenge (I think it was hit 4 long range shots in one game - and I'm on controller without a crosshair on my TV) and survivors were literally sat working on gens ignoring me and I still couldn't hit them at range - I didn't bother going for short range hits. Needless to say I got quite a few zero kills in a row before a lovely AFK Bill helped me out. Now all my Huntress games are quite easy.
What I would really like to know is, can your weakest killer drag your highest killer's MMR down? I'd love to know what happens after the experiment and you switch to your main.
-
Will this work though? Your killers by default are tied MMR-wise to your strongest killer, so if your Spirit is at 1700, your Nurse might start at 1500. There might be a limit on how far you can stretch Nurse's MMR from your highest rated killer.
-
- Night-time Coldwind Farm.
- Bring back old Freddy, maybe as a different killer

Graphically the games looks technically better but some of the new maps have an unpleasant pallete which makes me think the same as you. Daytime maps give the wrong atmosphere and so do all grey/brown maps.
But I remember old DS juggling, old ruin punishing newbie me and the hatch standoffs. If you had posted this on Wednesday I would also have said, "and do you remember how you could get a good 3 gen prepared only for three people to effectively DC via the jumping in the hatch and then get bonus points for doing so)
Also, I would miss the 60fps 4K graphics. I couldn't go back to 15fps again!
-
Players that are really good at the game are now playing others that are also really good at the game.
The old system was too harsh on new players and too easy for veterans.

Ohhhh I didn't realize the game did that for each individual killer.... so in a way, the match making was actually a bit off for me afterall?
For me, every killer needed around 3-4 matches before the Entity stopped sending me SWF death squads.
-
How strange that this PSA has generated such chaos!
OP is correct, NoEd will probably get you an extra kill or two per match and new/bad players should ask themselves whether they want their MMR going up quicker than they might be comfortable with.
-
Good diets and plenty of exercise.
-
I'm not sure how it can be the fault of SBMM. If you are in a 2000 hours 4-person SWF with comms then you win.
Is it because you don't normally SWF? If you normally solo your MMRs will be at your solo levels so the same killers you were fairly matched with will suddenly be completely outmatched.
-
- Not being able to rotate the killer in the lobby
- Having to say Pinheads voicelines myself
- The spring has gone on one of my buttons on my PS5 controller which causes me to accidently teabag in chases and then I get camped and tunnelled.
-
The best way to lower your MMR is to take off the meta perks, drop the best addons, don't tunnel or camp and play for fun not kills.
The best way to raise your MMR is probably the opposite.
-
If you are losing all your games then it sounds like you are stuck at the higher than ideal default MMR and swapping killers.
Stick with a single killer until your MMR settles down for that killer before swapping. It takes a few games with EACH killer for the game to figure out who to matchmake with.
-
Inky, Pinky, Blinky and/or Clyde.
I wouldn't want them cartoonified though. Make them scary.
-
I liked the creaking hooks they introduced when the Legion and Mount Ormond came out.
What ever happened to the creaking hooks when the Legion and Mount Ormond came out?
-
Portals next to gens or between gens?

We console people are the most oppressed group here ( Not the new generation console like ps5 and Xbox series) us old generation console user suffer from the bad frame rate when the survivor dead hard they teleport or the killer hitting you when they are not even close by. The pain of every patch making the game break.
I bet half of the people here won't know the console experience many of you are PC masterrace.
Note: I have a steam deck on the way and soon I too shall taste PC greatness.
Just a reminder that DBD will not be available at launch. Does DBD runs smootthly on equivalent hardware?

I can't tell the dffierence between the Gold and Bronze (same with the Playstation trophies). I'd like them to go back to the old colours.

Ok thank you problem solved.
Leaks by daylight is the worst dbd leak infos, all they said was wrong for every chapter 😂
Credit where credit is due. In their defence, the content they copied and pasted from DBD Leaks has been accurate. 😛

I like yelling when hillbilly yells during the chainsaw sprint.
That sounds like fun. I do the Pinhead voiceline, but yours is better.
-
I like to pretend to facecamp as the spirit. Hook a survivor, stand there for a few seconds and then move very very slighty so they know you are still there. Then, immediately use my full phase.
Unfortunately I won't be able to use this method after the "Spirit Pretending Nerf".
-
I like to pretend I have sprint burst by walking everywhere.
-
I like to make killers think I am sabotaging a hook by crouching next to a hook even though I don't have a toolkit.
-
I like to make survivors think I am running BBQ and Chili by hooking a survivor and then doing a 360.
-
I don't think this one will be answered by a mod because knowing the answer will tell people how to abuse it:
- If a DC makes you MMR go down, people who want to derank will DC at the start of games.
- If it counts as a null, survivors who want to avoid deranking will DC just before they are hooked for the last time. Killers will do it as soon as the game starts to slip away.
I hope a survivor that DCs near the start of the game will be a null for the killer and the remaining survivors will give a less than full mmr increase to reflect how much easier the rest of the game will be.

It is a little amusing to me, that so many people lament the stale meta, but in the same breath will argue against anything strong being added to the game.
My prediction is after 2 weeks, we won't see any boon totems in solo queue matches. The risk of someone trying to stop noed and clearing all dull totems while the boon totem guy is trying to find one or the gens getting completed in a zone and the match moves on from that area of the map leaving the boon useless in the corner, will be too high and the benefit will be marginal.
The SWF meta is very strong. We shall see if this becomes meta. If it does without a nerf to the current SWF favourites, that means SWF has even more of an advantage.
-
Damn, I got scared and reformatted my hard drive using FAT32 for nothing.
-
You should use it with the Blood Amber addon to see the killer's aura to see its strength. It's really useful in a chase when you have lost LOS on the killer. Alternatively, use the Gold Teken for a free "Bond".
Unfortunately you will get Mori'd for bringing in a key so that's a shame.
