Devs: *Sees post about people begging them to not nerf the demogorgon*
Also Devs: "So if people don't want the demogorgon to be nerfed that must mean he is most likely to be OP and needs nerfs right?" Other dev: "Makes sense to me let's get to nerfin"
Also devs : "Sees fog whisperer saying this killer is OP after 2hours testing, and the entire dedicated sheep community starts doing parrots move."
Also also devs : "Yeah right, working on it for 2 months and we were wrong guys. How can we be. Nerf it."

It's not the worst advice honestly. It's true that BHVR has a history of making changes to newly released content within 3 months of release. IMHO, most of the time the changes are reasonable and often to be expected. I'm not a fan of the Legion and MoM changes specifically, but most of the time I think the changes are decent. None the less, if you are a player that is easily disgruntled by paid content being changed after purchase then the OP is giving decent advice. Wait at least 3 months to be on the safe side. If you are a player who has bought previous content and were happy then you can purchase this one and expect to be happy as well.
Thanks for understanding.

Hey.. can we just agree they did an amazing job with this chapter.. I will buy it, even if there will be upcoming nerfs. :)
Yeah ! I won't deny this. It s an amazing DLC.
OP was just about "Buy it if you want, I wont change your mind, but don't come on forums to cry about things BHVR always do when they release new content".

No counter? Do gens. That simple. If all 3 of you do a gen, then you can complete all 3 of them before that person died if they struggle. Nice try.
From the Wiki
1 Survivor1.0 c/s | 100 % 1.0 c/s 80 seconds
Hooks have three different stages. Stages 1 and 2 each have a duration of 60 seconds
So, a face camp is 120 seconds.
1 gen is 120 seconds. All 3 of you do a gen. Bam, all 3 are done for one person. That's over half the needed 5.
Yes. Simple.
In THEORY.
Unexperienced survivors won't stick to your maths mate. They'll try to save. Add to the equation a ruin and a Noed, you got a perfect build for a newbie killer that feels like his "strategy" is working.
Camping has always been a problem and can screw a squad of solos doing bad decision making.
Camping has counter play. Only if you're facing SWF or experienced survivors. Otherwise, camping has NO counter.
-
That is good. Finally some anti camp perk :)))
-
Bring back ol enduring, I wouldnt mind DS.
-
To all the people having this "do gens" lightsaber, and everyone approving this : you don't get it.
People of this forum are "special players", not the majority. A lot of people play without watching streamers or guide and quite don't understand this game.
Telling them to "do gens" bring nothing as a solution for camping. I see you coming. "Camping is legit, BHvr allow that"....
Its not. Not legit. Not a strat. Only a new player move. And survivors as new players aswell dont know how to react, they only want to save their friend. Logical. Aswell for the killer that want to protect his meat and want it to die.
On both sides, camping is not correct. Bhvr is just lazy to bring something about this indirect problem in the game.
Yes this is a problem. Look at your queues and matchmaking. Stranger things wont have a lot of new sustained playerbase.

So you had two survivors on the ground and one on the hook and you got impatient so that means DS needs a nerf? Come on.
Whatever the situation mate. I talk about it since its what happened on my last game.
But dont make an example a general reality. (Cf all those : "here s a video of a popular streamer, nerf X !" Type of thread)

So you admit it was somehow your mistake and still find it as a bad mechanism. Don't you think this is a bit self-centered. DS already has counters unlike before the rework. Not tunneling obvious one, slugging another option you have. You can even mori a ds player and never know if they had ds or not. So mechanism is good right now.
Not self centered, just my opinion on it has the power role.
I admit that it "might" be my mistake. But thats not the point.
The only point of this thread is I dont find a timer on a perk being relevant. Thats pretty much it.

Fair enough.
But still, if you slug the person who just got unhooked, you still tunneled. You can negate DS by keeping them slugged. But negating it by hooking or downing the other Person would be "meh", because, well...You still tunneled.
And even if the other Survivor(s) picked up the slugged guy, it was a lot of Map Pressure at this point. At least one Survivor was not on Gens, possibly even two. This can be huge.
Yeah I was in a pretty nice spot, 2 people on the ground that have been unhooked recently and just hooked another guy. That was decent.
My mistake was to not be patient enough I guess. Thats why I find this mecanic bad. You're just an hostage of time. I could have wait here and proxy but thats not fair to me, find the last survivor so someone else pop an unbreakable ? Same result.
I don t know I think something might be twisted.

@Sackboy123 said:
If you use Make Your Choice, it's the perfect counter to Decisive as you don't have to manually time it. I rarely get hit with Decisive because I refuse to tunnel, (Even if I see them fully healed) And always go after another person to pressurize the game
Same. But I was in this game where I just hooked someone and had 2 people on the ground that have been unhooked recently, I couldnt just wait, and I've been hitten for that.
My mistake, probably. But that doesnt change the fact I think that mecanic is bad.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
You cant remember 1 name out of 4?
I think you have bigger problems than getting hit by DS..
I play far enough from my screen so I cant see this information.

@Sackboy123 said:
I agree with the hook someone else to disable it but if you play Killer correctly then you would have downed and hooked someone while the DS user is still injured and you would think to go after him because he's still injured right? Well if you do that then you deserve to get DStriked. I find Decisive in a great place atm, unlike the old Decisive which broke the game.
Yes in the situation you describe, I agree. DS is here to do that, I dont have a problem with that.
The only thing that bothers me is the "ok lets wait just to be sure"

I'd say that it would reduce farming so I'm not against the idea. But I also think that there needs to be an indicator if the person has BT or some other save perk to help you know they're not screwing you over.
Exactly what I was thinking ! Like a status "protected" or something, if the save for bt, babysitter or that kind of perk

@Mat_Sella said:
No, in every situation refusing a save is worse than being pulled off dangerously, cause then the survivor that saved you is going to die right on top of you and now you're both screwed
Why ? I don't understand this. If the guy that was attempting to do the save takes a hit, then it should be considered as an unsafe hook right ? Since you assume the killer is next to the hook.
-
@Krystress said:
I wouldn't save anybody in the chance that someone would refuse me.
They would only refuse if this is what they consider a bad decision. If there s no risk, there s no reason to refuse a unhook.
-
So much reactions ... ;D

@xnes_galax said:
Devs proposed that a lot of time ago, and then decided to not add it. People dont want this feature because they fear someone could use it for trolling. Well, every single thing in this game could be used for tolling and anyways, if someone just refuse you to unhook you multiple times, just leave him die.
Survivors should never go for unsafe unhooks unless is endgame or the guy on hook is dead in a few seconds.
I see a lot of randoms running at the hook with the killer behind, just to take 2 hit and go down for a save, that will just result in a faster progression for the hooked survivor and most commonly the end of the match.
If you fear that someone could stop you from unhooking while chased by the killer, dont take the risk. Running near the hooked survivor is your worst option ever and can kill your whole time.
We gonna farm forever intensifies

I just feel bad for survivors being rush saved... That has to feel terrible. I dont like those bad decisions, selfish behaviour.

For entitled people probably.
But for neutral people that play the game as a whole, both sides, there s no "factions".

Yet there are some that just genuinely hate. So I seek to know why
Hate ? I don t know. Maybe cause there 2 different sides that emotionally react differently.
Survivors have the "real" game over, in every video game, death = loose, and some people are just bad at dealing with this feeling. The direct result from this is they gonna blame for what did apply this emotion to them : the killer.
On the other side, killers dont have the game over feeling. They just have an "entity happy / not happy" and in the worst case they only can blame themselves for a bad performance. And thats why, maybe this affects killers more. Blamed by themselves (frustration) and by survivors.
That could lead to the feeling you got titled on this thread.
Its not hate or a side. Its people and their reaction.

Hm..obviously..but I'm sure you understood what I was really getting at
Toxicity is from both side.
Bad survivors influencer teach how to t bag and trash talk, killers influencers teach how to tunnel and be sweaty for a 4k...
For people that find that kind of behaviour and content relevant, they become something else and forget that a game is initially made to enjoy and have fun, but just tend to do like their" idols"..
-
Its not survivors.
Its people.

Ahh right, ok - I missed the thread so assumed they wanted to know if it was bannable, my mistake!
I guess it was more harrasment based? If you're stream sniping, it's whatever, but I guess if you make it very obvious you only equipd moris when against a certain person, tunnel them, harass them in end game chat they may have been banned for that reason but stream sniping was typed instead, I'm not sure.
Tru3 can't get the people who obviously stream snipe banned, so I find it hard to believe some random streamer did without some seriously obvious harassment evidence.
Referring to the thread he might be the one having triggered it.

Streamsniping is not bannable, it is not enfored by BHVR as per the form I have linked. It is how ever against Twitch TOS and if you're found accountable you might end up banned on Twitch, but I find it highly unlikely.
Snipe... away? I guess =/
Yeah but the thread was talking about BHvr having banned someone for it.
