Lost count.
These days I only play a few matches then I'll disappear for a month or two. Sometimes I only log in buy a perk from the shrine or enter a code.
-
And this is why I take more monthly breaks. Even if sadako is S+ tier out the box I'll be skipping her for the time being.
Horizon and Elden ring are coming soon out so I know what I'll be playing next month.

I use nemesis + rancor + MYC + furtive chase quite a lot. Unhooking the obsession makes you exposed -and- oblivious, plus they pass the upcoming rancor effect around like a hot potato.
I used the same build with bloodwarden instead of MYC (might switch to No way out). I had a match as demo where a meg completely screwed her team over by opening the exit game too early.
-
Special abilities aside I wonder what her basic attack is going to be. She doesn't use a normal weapon like some other killers.
Would be kind of funny if she just slapped the survivors around with her bare hands.
-
Something reptilian or an insectoid would be fine by me.

I can understand that. I said it in another thread... People like that don't make me sad or go to bed crying.... It's just annoying when it's like that all the time. So i can understand someone quitting because they feel like they are babysitting a herd of annoying sh!ts.
I'm on console so i was able to completely shut off any forms of contact with other players, and it was the best thing I've ever done! If you can do the same... Try it.
I did the same after my first year of playing DBD. It was funny at first but then it just got stale.
-
I'm curious but burnt out from grinding bloodpoints for artist.
-
I'd skip until bloodhunt.
I got two big games coming out soon so I'm in no mood to grind.
-
I'm not great at tracking so I'd go with Oni.
I prefer to able to see my target then be blind half the time.
-
Deathslinger in a dress with really long hair.
-
Well I liked her enough to make her my third P3 character (after doctor and plague). However I have not been playing her that much because I was burned out from grinding perks and I'm still not done.
As survivor...well I can't say she's boring when I hardly see her. The last match I had against her was a 3man escape and she wasn't running a full deck or perks. I'll probably get stomped when I play against a really good artist.
I have a similar issue with more recent killers like trickster, twins and pinhead. I just don't encounter them enough to really learn much.

You played Bubba, did you not? That's what the Splinter does, and that's how you used to be able to get licensed achievements without spending money too.
I see. I never had much interest for licensed characters so I didn't even bother with the achievements. I think I only used bubba and myers splinter once. I had zero interest in playing pig and freddy's splinter was just broken and didn't work.

Yes. But dont worry they want extra BP so they will open it.
And if not, you can interact with your envelope yourself, which makes it visible for all other players and they will jump on it like hyenas immediately
Guess I'll run insidious and only move when someone touches it.
-
Ok I'll try the event later when I have time.
-
I will probably just unlock the artist skin and call it a day.
-
I skipped pig and got two of her perks from the shrine. I'll log on when hangman's trick is there.

He is annoying but he is not that strong.
Yikes!
-
I just take my 5 minute ban and get a drink.
-
I came back from another break for the event. I still don't have all the perks I want on artist so I played a couple matches as survivor and then played four matches with Nemesis (Would have been five but I DC'd when I loaded into RPD).
Only build I'm using is Agitation, Mad Grit, Lightborn and BBQ. I aim for four stacks and that's it. I still have some anniversary cakes left so I might aswell use them.
First match went as expected and got 1k but hooked everyone else twice. Second match was 3k. Had a leon acting weird and not really trying to run away. In the same match I had a yui who was doing everything in her power to avoid me. She was using a perk to hide blood and scratch marks (I forget the name). I found her in the end trying to open the exit gates. I grabbed her and she DC'd.
The next two matches I had were just a mess ending in 4k. Survivors were all over the place. Letting teammates die on hooks or trying to rush the basement the second I turn my back.
I saved up about 500K and spent it. I got some perks I wanted so I'll try and save up a million and then take another break.
-
Artist is expected but at least I never spent any money on her so I won't feel too bad.
I do fear for doctor in the distant future.
-
I'm currently on break after burning myself out playing only nemesis. This was burn all the cakes he had saved for the artist.
Got about ten more left to go. I guess I should use them for the bloodhunt.
-
It worked for me on console.
-
I don't know. After the nerf Pyramid head feels clunky on console so I hardly play him these days.
I don't find Nemesis trash just dull. I don't have the same level of fun as I do with a killer like Oni. You go through all the trouble of powering up just to gain a little bit more reach on the whip. You can also break pallets and walls but that's it. Just boring.
His zombies definitely need to be looked at though.
-
It will probably end up like hangman's trick. Buffed in the ptb then nerfed shortly after. I don't see anyone running that perk now.
-
Lightborn.
-
Another console player here. I also suck with killers like nurse and blight. I just find them too clunky. With Nurse I would always get maps I hate like rottem fields where I'd become disoriented by the contast head shaking.
I used doctor to level her up to level 40 and left her to collect dust.
-
Personally I see no point in buying characters I have no desire to play so most I have skipped and just waited for their perks to appear in the shrine.
For licensed characters the only ones I own are Demo, Pyramid head and Nemesis.
I don't now about sadako. I need to see her in action first. I'm burnt out from grinding bloodpoints for artist. I will wait until sometime after the ring chapter releases and if there is a bloodhunt I will decide.
-
Good but I already have those perks. Still waiting on hangman's trick and all pinhead perks.
-
Needs a cooldown or let me break it.

The Resident Evil chapter, if you see what I mean.
Ah yes. The day my ps4 pro became a jet engine.
-
Bloodhound - Basic but reliable tracking. It's just nice to be able to see tracks more clearly on certain maps and perks like iron will and shadowstep have no effect on it.
Mad Grit - Combine with Agitation for the meme build.
Lightborn - Very niche but hilarious when you down someone who keeps trying to blind you. Works against flash grenade and blast mine as well.
Bloodwarden - Doesn't always work but it makes for a fun endgame build.
-
I'm still waiting on hangman's trick to finish my collection.

I agree with OP. If I see a flashlight squad in the lobby, I'll equip lightborn, and it more often than not gives me free hits + I dont need to worry at all about picking up survivors.
People will not "genrush" just because they know you have lightborn. To genrush, they would need to use toolboxes + gen perks. More likely than not, their build isn't based on gens and more on saves/altruism, so that isnt a problem. Also no toolboxes, because they already have flashlights.
I had a match that fell apart very quickly because of the perk. In that match only one survivor was working on a gen. The first survivor I downed DC after I broke a pallet and walked up to him while he was trying to blind me. The other two flashlight users were just running around me trying to juke and loop me. I hooked one and slugged the other and eventually the last guy tried get a save but was caught.
-
He was fun before the nerf. Now he's too clunky for me. I rarely touch him these days.
-
Doesn't she have a power to control her hair or am I confusing her with somebody else?
-
Got mine :)
-
I wish I had skipped him.

I think Nemesis needs access to a once per trial, single-shot Rocket Launcher. Maybe then I'll tolerate the zombies' inconsistencies.
The discovery that Discordance alerts Zombies was very much welcome, but that's just a band-aid solution.
Hmm...I got to try that.

It's really hard to quantify how much the zombies actually do. Having played against Nemesis a ton on survivor, I'd say the zombies do way more than I thought they did when Nemesis released. They constantly interrupt whatever it is we're trying to do.
Given the number cakes I used I'd say I've played nemesis roughly 30-40 times across the week. The zombies for me felt very 50/50 in terms of usefulness.
Sometimes they were great for surveillance and would push survivors away from gens. Others times they just don't seem to notice anything and would wonder around until they got stuck.
Big open maps just don't work for them. Indoor maps like lerys is where they can become more of a menace. In one match I had both zombies 'camp' a hooked survivor while I went off to kick a gen. They stayed out of line of sight perfectly so they could smack anyone coming in for save and alerting me in the process.
-
RPD.
I would rather take the five minute ban.
-
Oni.
-
Marmite
-
I wouldn't even bother responding to them in chat. They weren't ready to start the match, well tough luck.
I've gone afk dozens of times as killer. I never see anyone give me a free hook at the end.
-
I'm working on her prestige so she's going to sitting on the bench until I have farmed enough bloodpoints.
-
Before the update about 5 matches in a month.
For new chapter, at least 25. This is only because I'm farming bloodpoints for the artist.
-
I like the artist but the map is too big.

Thank you all for the advice.
After some thought, I decided to go with Leatherface (Bubba) DLC. After all, he's the only killer out of the ones I considered that is impossible to get without real life money, because he's licensned. So I could get the Hag for her perk eventually when I reach 9000 purple points; as well as Blight or Spirit or Legion. But if I don't take the Cannibal now, I'll never get him as well as the bloodpoints farmer Barbecue & Chilli.
What builds would you recommend me for Bubba?
By the way, I saw a lot of people playing Nemesis (another licenced killer), is he that good? why are so many people playing him?
Depends on what perks you currently have. For someone new. Hillbilly's are decent to start with. Enduring you can combine with spirit fury (which is the shrine by the way). Tinkerer is good for info on gens and lightborn denies all items that blind you while giving some aura reading.
I see bamboozle alot on some bubba for shutting down windows.
-
Ask yourself this. Are you willing to dump over a million bloodpoints into a character you may or may not like?
If you have the patience of a monk then wait for the shrine to decide. (Characters that feature in the tome will dictate what perks appear in the shrine.)
Otherwise choose who suits your playstyle best.
My progression was a bit different because I play on console so hag and doctor were already unlocked. I liked doctor because of his tracking and farming so I stuck with him.
I'm very picky on which characters I buy. I have skipped almost half the killers simply because I don't like how they look or their power is boring. The only licensed characters I have are demo, pyramid head and nemesis.
As for your list:
Legion - Skipped. Got perks from shrine. I heard they are good at farming bloodpoints.
Oni - Difficult but alot of fun.
Bubba - Skipped. Got all perks from shrine.
Wraith - Already unlocked. Kind of dull but easy to use.
Spirit - I suck at tracking so I hardly use her.
Blight - Too clunky for console.
-
As a console player I like her even though she ain't easy.
It's less about precision and more about map knowledge and knowing where and when to place crows. I've been able to get a couple cool downs with her.
My current build is: I'm all ears, Hex: blood flavor, agitation, scourge hook.
I do still worry about nerfs in the future that will make her clunky to play.
-
Let's just hope she functions decently on console.
