Okay, then for the sake of consistency, I will argue someone getting upset that a stranger told them to kill themselves is also crazy. You can't just cherry pick situations to fit your narrative. Toxicity is based on some objective and understood criteria, or it is subjective and depends on the person taking offense. One of these makes sense, my perspective. The other does not, one where you arbitrarily decide what is or isn't offensive on other people's behalf.
I still disagree. Again, telling someone to kill themselves isn't the same as clicking a flashlight.

Exactly, because it is subjective... You could do either to me and I wouldn't see a difference, because I do not care. What doesn't make any logical sense is to attribute more "toxicity" to one action over the other when the person offended is the one who needs to determine that for themselves.
I have to disagree. Getting upset that someone clicked a flashlight is crazy.

I mean, you could water any toxicity down in the same way, "getting offended by words? Ha ha." Like???
Words don't really affect me either. There is a difference between clicking a flashlight and telling someone to kill themselves, though.
-
So toxic. "How dare they click a flashlight at me!!". lol

It's just disappointing the players accpet something and think it's fine from their view.
Then ignore others not thinking same like them.
Tbag and clciking is fine so is it okay killers slug survivors till they die without hooking?
These can be bad examples to compare but "this is fine that is bad" is kinda hypocritical.
Yes, it's fine for the killer to slug without hooking. Is it fun? No. T-bagging and flashlight clicking is fine as well. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: People need to ignore it. If you can't handle those things, then you probably shouldn't be playing (not specifically talking about you).

Survivors have a metric Fton of good/viable perks.
Then why do killers keep complaining about survivors using the same perks over and over?

No lol.
Inf medkit speed heals that the whole team can use in multiple huge 24m areas on the map are not "balanced".
Booning the totem then healing is also STILL faster then selfcare healing.
I think that would balance it out. So? SC is just a bad perk. That’s why most people either brought a medkit or played injured before CoH was added. It’s fine for both sides to have good perks.
-
@ElmosPayPig said:

survivors downplay CoH amazingly hard because people know its busted and don't want this op toy taken away yet.
The only problem with CoH in my opinion is that it can stack with medkits and other healing perks. Take that away and it's a pretty balanced perk.
-
Killer definitely isn't for everyone. I still like playing killer and usually do well.

Games are too snowbally for that gen rework. And we know BHVR. Their idea of a rework would be to just change the timing on gens and not change anything else... If they made gen times take longer no survivors would play M1 simulator and they just would survive. To fix that issue they'd then nerf all killers to "balance"...
Exactly! I just don't see it happening and I don't think it's a good idea. Tunneling and camping would need to be removed/less effective (yeah, good luck fixing that), perks, killers and maps would need to be tweaked as well. It's just way too much work for something that isn't even needed in my opinion. Would just make survivors leave. Would be very boring.
Edit- I play killer and I don't always use Corrupt. I actually prefer POP over that perk.

Nobody has ever said killer is the reason solo is weak. It’s lack of communication in a team based game that’s the issue
This 100%.
-
I will always let Leon escape. He's my favorite game character of all time and he's hot AF. 😆
No mercy for Claudette... I despise her! She's usually the worst teammate (hides in bushes and usually won't help her team). She'd rather get hatch, lol.
-
Not a fan of her. I'm not saying she's too OP, but I hate going against her. She forces you to just hold W the entire game. Fun
-
I feel like I've said this a thousand times, lol. My queue time for survivor is instant during the day and 3-4 minutes at night. Killer queue is around 5 minutes (or longer) during the day and instant at night. Nothing has changed for me.
-
I don’t feel like killer is all that bad to be honest. It’s much more balanced than people say. I don’t feel the need to tunnel every game. No, I don’t get mad at killers for tunneling. I don’t feel like it should be as viable as it is, though. I wouldn’t mind if DS became basekit or worked twice.

Funny how "it's a game, don't forget that, chill" is valid only when a killers is tilted, but when a basement Bubba appears(or any camping/slugghing/tunneling killer), then , they are toxic and shouldn't play like that because "think about others fun!".
If you get camped/slugghed/tunneled, chill bro, it's a game"
Not exactly the same. I don’t get upset when I’m camped or tunneled... I usually give a gg and move on to the next game. I still think face camping shouldn’t be in the game, but that doesn’t mean I’m mad when it happens.
-
I guess they get their feelings hurt. People seem to forget it’s just a game. Lol

Well it’s unplayable because your teammates suck.
Its true that a lot of people are bad at the game, but a lot of the time it’s because of the lack of communication. This causes people to make weird/bad decisions. They don’t know what other players are doing.

Solo queue is an absolutely miserable experience.
I had a match today where I completed ALL FIVE of the generators, my teammates literally just would not touch them.
Same. I'm seriously thinking about only playing killer at this point. Devs refuse to buff solo and it's getting very frustrating.

Ahhh great attitude.
One Killer using some meme build to cuck some idiots means camping needs to be "changed"
Stop trying to be a hero and save someone who can't be saved. Let the person in the basement die, do your gens and leave.
If you want camping to stop, stop feeding the camper.
What about the person on the hook? He is unable to play the game and had his game ruined. You think that's fair? Face camping shouldn't even be a thing.
-
That's why I like playing killer. It's the killer's fault that he lost most of the time. You don't have to depend on other people. Survivor is much more stressful in my opinion (because of random teammates).

Idea don't go in a snowman if he's nearby and possibly knows you're in the area or in a chase.
Also what does his license have to do with him being P2W?
Yes there is escape it's just hard to do use trees, (if they're nearby) tight corners, or lockers and try to time the escape
Yes he can down multiple Survivors if they're all together and not playing safe and saying he has no counter play shows you haven't fully learned how to run the killer or you've never played him.
It's probably going to be a 4k every time because you like to put yourself in 2nd or just sacrifice yourself on the hook and make your team loose
If he's basement Bubba I've said it before don't go down there and you won't have a problem with him just do the gens simple.
"If he's basement Bubba I've said it before don't go down there and you won't have a problem with him just do the gens simple."- It isn't always that simple. A lot of LF players like to use Iron Grasp/Agitation, then camp when they get you in the basement. Camping with him is insanely strong. I hope we get changes to camping soon.
-
My survivor queues are instant during the day and 3-4 minutes at night. Killer is around 4-5 minutes during the day and instant at night.
-
The only thing I dislike about LF is how good he is at camping. Almost every LF I go against does this.
Edit: They love to bring NOED as well. Fun.

So until Camping is properly dealt with, why shouldn't people try to block if the killer is Camping?
I don't see any good reason not to. They deserve it at that point.
Agreed.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2694516#Comment_2694516
Correct.
Remove the collision and that solves that issue.
Also, BT doesn't exclusively punish camping. I normally see it used to facilitate unsafe unhooks, for example, I hook someone, turn away and they get unhooked.
I sure as hell wasn't camping.
A lot of times killers force unsafe unhooks and body blocking can come in handy. It can be annoying sometimes, but it’s not broken. We should focus on things that actually do need nerfs/buffs.
-
Couldn’t agree more! I main Pig too and it’s super annoying. She needs to move faster while crouched as well.

Oh yeah, tell me more about how standing in a doorway so that I can't go after the guy who unhooked you is good game design.
It's a lose-lose and it needs to go.
Then go a different way. Not all maps have tons of doorways. It's fine
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2694485#Comment_2694485
Sooooo, what's the counterplay?
Either smack the survivor that was unhooked or try to get past them. Survivors don't always successfully body block. We shouldn't nerf things just because they are useful. It's not broken or OP at all. It's okay for both sides to have good perks in the game.
-
@glitchboi said:
Protection hits can sometimes be clunky, so I would say just remove the BT'd survivor's collision so that they can't bodyblock, and prioritize other survivors being hit instead if they somehow get hit when bodyblocking.
I disagree with this. If I get unhooked with BT I should be able to protect my teammate if I want. This isn't even needed.
-
@ChurchofPig said:
Maybe I'm just being salty because it feels like it happens a lot.
What I'm noticing survivors doing a lot is purposely follow you so after you hook a survivor they can get hit, save while you're in the attack cooldown animation, and then Dead Hard avoiding the hit and getting their teammate hit. Another common scenario is they run you to the hook and then the saved survivor bodyblocks you until they get hit.
Borrowed Time is meant to punish killers that are both camping and tunneling. These scenarios, at the very least from the killers perspective, are not fair Borrowed Time plays. You're doing something to cause the illusion of camping and tunneling when in reality you're just being an a-hole and it feels a lot like perk abuse.
Here's my suggested nerf. If a survivor is hit while borrowed time is active on them and it's a protection hit, borrowed time's endurance is negated and the survivor is downed.
Like I said, maybe I'm just being really salty, but I stg this happens almost every match now and I'm sick of it happening. Survivors shouldn't be getting rewarded for these plays with borrowed time.
You guys complain about everything. BT is completely fine.

I think you missed my point.
DS is very good against tunneling. So good, in fact, that killers generally have to play around the anticipation of survivors running DS that it serves as a tunneling deterrent simply by existing (even if nobody is running it).
That said - no. Prenerf DS was ridiculous. It wasn't a tunneling deterrent, it was a straight up extra life. As it stands, the perk is well balanced and the only reason that more people don't run it right now is that there are several SSS class survivor perks that are so strong that you're playing the game wrong for not running them. CoH and Dead Hard are the biggies, with Iron Will as a close runner-up.
Oh, I definitely missed your point (it’s very late here). I agree that old DS was bad for the game and needed a nerf. I still think DS could use some small buffs, but It’s ok right now.
-
@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2691098#Comment_2691098
Honestly, DS is more powerful when you pick something other than DS. I generally play around DS anyway - so it's almost a free perk slot.
I’ve said before that DS could use a buff to make it better against tunneling. Who knows if it’ll happen.
-
Yep! It's been a blast!
-
Killer:
1.BBQ- Got to love the aura part of the perk and the extra BP.
2.POP- I prefer this over ruin/undying because I like that it rewards the killer for playing good. Great perk.
3.Devour-It feels great when the survivors start panicking when DH activates. lol
Survivor:
1.DS- Kind of boring to use after a while but needed in most games I play.
2.BT-Again, almost always needed if you want to stand a chance.
3.Deception- one of my all-time favorite perks. Super fun to use.

I’d say codling the younger generation to such an extreme degree can only set them up for failure. If they aren’t able to cope with random strangers spamming a crouch animation in a video game, especially to the extent that they need it to be removed, they may not be able to deal with all manner of things later in life.
Agreed. It’s crazy to me that people get so upset at a character crouching up and down that they want it removed... lmao
