A complete combination of "bad teammates" and "got tunnelled / camped".
Mori is never an issue for me cuz I just alt+f4 the loading screen.
-
@Anghroth said:
Nope. The very first thing we NEED to adress, is insta-down addons like the god-awful iri hatchets. Then Moris and THEN we can talk about punishing those who still want to escape the game early.
As long as all those mechanics remain in the game (and yes, keys are BS as well and need to be either removed or reworked), I completely understand everyone, who doesn't want to be part of minutes of stupidity.
I'm in agreeance with this quote above ^^^
You cannot force people to play a game they don't want to. You don't want hook suicides? Punish tunnelling and camping more first.
-
I have to give a solid disagree with the "deactivate when another survivor gets hooked" argument.
Why? I've seen so so so many situations where the person just unhooked goes down immediately, or the rescuer goes down immediately.
This would effectively invalidate DS, giving you the ability to rehook that person again with no repercussion. That's still tunnelling.
If anything, DS should deactivate when the survivor performs an interaction.
An interaction is: Touch gen/totem/gate switch/healing another survivor/being full-healed yourself/unhooking/locker/flashlight/pallet drop.
And to further balance it during EGC, enable the timer when all gens are done for 20/25/30 seconds. Easy fix to everything.
If you're not doing gens/healing/unhooking/totems/etc - You're clearly not being tunnelled.

What they need is a penalty for lobby Dodgers, if you waste someone elses time you deserve your time wasted , if you want a easy game go play on mobile against the bots, these are real people with somewhat real brains on the main platforms and nobody should have to hide a intended playable item just to find a match after they spent blood points to get the said item
Oh yeah, more ridiculous penalties is exactly what this game needs, health-wise. /s
I'm a survivor main btw and I say no to this.

Bug fixes and overall optimization.
-
Bug fixes, without a doubt.
"Be specific" - k, the whole game?

I would say casual because I hate competitive gaming. Competitive gaming ruins videogames, period.
Pretty much the exact same response I would have given ^^^

@Nicholas said:
Imo most people cancel the match to avoid them. I do think they are looking into them but idr exactly where it was stated.
I do this ngl ...Since I can reopen the game before the others even get the "match is cancelled" message, it makes no difference to me.
And to further point that survivor queues are a lot faster now too (and killer isn't), I'll happily send a killer back to their 8 minute queue.
Nerf mories to 2nd hook, then I'll stop doing this.
-
My top 3, in this order: Cheryl, Feng, Jane.
-
Penalty system is so pathetically bad. Game's not even competitive, stop treating it as such.
-
Tunnelling = Going back to a recently unhooked survivor just to down and hook them again.
Camping = Staying within a short distance of a hooked survivor, instead of patrolling gens and chasing others.
-
How about none of the options? Instead, work on hammering out all the bugs and issues with the game/servers and work more on overall quality of life, to make the game run better and feel better.

Can I downvote this mods?
-
The only single killer I would "ban" and like to never go against again would be Deathslinger.
-
It's a pointless feature, especially considering how bad queue times can be.
-
Every new update is more and more disappointment.
The direction they're going with their game is literally down the drain. Every since August 2019, the game has increasingly gotten worse and worse with each and every update. 200+ new bugs every patch.
-
No. It would be heavily abused and the killer would target the obviously lower ranked survivor.
-
In terms of Solo Survivor, Killer without a doubt has the advantage. Otherwise, 4 man SWF most definitely has an advantage.
I think the answer more appropriately is "It's situational" at best.
-
Rework:
If there are still generators that need to be completed:
Timer is removed, and DS is active until a survivor performs an interaction.
----
If there are no generators remaining / EGC has started:
Timer lasts 20/25/30 seconds. Timer instantly expires when the survivor performs an interaction.
----
An Interaction is: Tapping a generator, tapping a totem, tapping an exit gate switch, healing another survivor, being healed completely to "healthy" state yourself, entering a locker, unhooking a survivor.
To further balance it, I think "flashlight save" and "pallet save" should be considered an interaction.
----
I think this largely makes DS fair for both sides and is situational depending on the # of gens remaining to further balance it.
Think about it this way. If the survivor isn't doing gens/totems/healing/unhooking - Then what good are they?
-
Fix Ghostface busted reveal mechanic first.
-
I've said it before, but as a survivor main, I'd be perfectly fine if they added a grab mechanic in the gate.
I rarely ever stick around. I'd rather go to my next match sooner.
-
In this exact order:
DeathSlinger, Hag, Spirit, Doctor.
---
I would honestly prefer to go against a Forever Freddy instead of DeathSlinger any day.
Counterplay is almost non-existent on PC and I find him more boring than Hag, Spirit, Doctor and Freddy combined.
-
I'm aldwight.

i have about 2k hours as survivor.
I don't think survivors should be able to fall to safety just because the gate is open. In fact, It would be pretty cool to have the killer grab me by the ankle as i'm trying to crawl out.
Injured or survivors entering the dying state inside the exit gate should take an extra second or 2 to start crawling. During this time if the legs of a survivor were still in the trial, they could be pulled back. There's no stand off, no hostage situation and its easily countered by getting the hell out of dodge.
Yeah, I could get behind that as well. I mean, it's easily countered simply by leaving instead of sitting to tbag or gloating about their win.
-
I think Spine Chill is fine right where it is now. I've only really started to use it a few months back due to the highly increased number of Ghostface players. Fix his reveal mechanic first.
-
Same. I would love to play on Linux or MacOS. Personally never really been fond of Windows OS.
-
I say good riddance. DBD is better off with AI bots that replace dc survivors tbh, like mobile does.
-
Spirit: Just stand perfectly still in chases. That's not braindead at all is it? Fr, give an indicator she's phasing.
Deathslinger: Incredibly oppressive to go against purely due to his insta-ADS with almost non-existent reaction time.
Freddy: I think is pretty balanced where he's at now. Just wake up and you pretty much delete most of his chase power.
--
But let's take a look at other unmentioned killers too?
Hag: Add a very small delay between hitting after immediately teleporting for each survivor that's currently slugged.
Doctor: Spamming a "scream" power around every single loop and fully deleting the ability to drop pallets/vault is very fun. /s
Ghostface: Fix his reveal mechanic, that is all.

The difference is they could hold game hostage by waiting around to do it until you pushed them out. Now if they want to waste time doing it, it's at their expense cause they're forced to leave. Meanwhile a killer can just pick a corner to look at if they want. It was not to stop teabagging in general, it was to stop teabagging a killer by just sitting at a gate infinitely just so they can bag them.
I've suggested something to fix this before.
If they made EGC timer go 5x faster if all survivors are sitting in or around an open exit gate, and nobody is being chased, nobody is on hook, nobody is slugged. In addition, survivors can be grabbed from the gate area.
I would honestly welcome this change so much, and IM A SURVIVOR MAIN btw. I never personally camp the gate.
Like seriously, just leave. It's annoying to the killer, no need to be a toxic d*ck.
-
Deathslinger and Hag.
-
Primarily PC, but occasionally hop on Switch and Mobile.
-
I liked the cakes and extra BP. But didn't like that killers seemed sweatier than usual, especially in regards to the crown.
-
I only use it on indoor maps where you can actually see it and the survivor thinks they're smart enough to end their scratches and walk around a few corners (nope lol)
-
A lot of the challenges are increasingly becoming more and more unreasonable with each and every tome.
Not everyone has the patience of a saint.
I'm that guy that actually likes to do challenges (for fun / to pass time), but DBD by far has the most annoying of all games I've ever played.
----
The biggest factor in DBD's challenge system that makes it so frustrating is the pure fact that 90% of them are all HEAVILY RNG dependant.
If challenges didn't require you to be completely unproductive, or the killer doesn't sweat their balls off - I wouldn't have such an issue with them.
There's a lot of challenges that you will simply never get without farming. Unless you're the most competitive godly player in the game.
As a casual player myself, I find a lot of the challenges to be very frustrating. I don't wanna have to sweat just to complete challenges.
-
"Fun" is definitely very subjective. I personally find killers like Deathslinger and Spirit to be very boring to go against.
While at the same time, I have no issues going up against a Freddy, and I also find the whole playstyle of Billy boring.
-
DS is fine. If it's an issue for you, don't tunnel. Also: slug.
-
Myers without a doubt. So many different playstyles and he's overall the most balanced killer (in my very honest opinion).
-
I'm pretty much already there. The literal #1 thing that cut my playtime in 3/4 was: Dedicated servers.
Get 0 - 15 ping on EVERY GAME, except DBD.
DBD lobby says I get 25 - 30, but when I'm in-game it FEELS LIKE I'm averaging 300.
To this day, I'll still take P2P lobbies over dedicated, because to me, hits felt more real.
-
Shirtless DWIGHT!!
-
Out of the options given: Hag
Out of options not listed: Deathslinger
Overall: Deathslinger

They're balancing the new game.
Every killer that has drop since ghostface is pretty good.
Ghostface: Awesome Killer
Demogorgon: A good killer with the right build and skill
Oni: Awesome killer
Deathslinger: Good killer that requires skill
Pyramid Head: He's pretty much my main rn, he's pretty good.
There's a lot of killers that are good, but they take skill, and people like to attach to easy mode... and when it gets nerfed the game is "dead"
I can agree with a lot of this except for ghostface and deathslinger.

Hopefully imho means "in my horrible opinion" dbd has only gotten better as times has went on, expect in stability of course
Nope, "imho" means "in my honest opinion". That being said, imho, dbd has gotten worse from what it was a whole year ago.
-
DBD was fun before August 2019, imho. #BringBackOldDBD
-
I love it when every time there's a nerf to survivor, survivors aren't allowed to complain. But when killer nerfs happen, all hell breaks loose.
-
I'm just glad that this will hinder "tailgating" survivors with the chainsaw. (literally riding their asses with it just to get a cheesy down)
-
Dwight, but he has to have hair on the top of his head :)
-
Dwight and David, occasionally Jake. When I play female, it's either Feng or Cheryl.
-
For me: Deathslinger, Hag, Ghostface. In this exact order.
Deathslinger: Very little counterplay vs quickscope.
Hag: Crouching all game is boring, her playstyle is very campy.
Ghostface: 2 words, reveal mechanic.
--
Also, I'm that oddball who actually enjoys going against a Freddy.
