Angelicus the commands you've listed have absolutely nothing to do with Anti-aliasing. This is what you need:
[/Script/Engine.GarbageCollectionSettings]
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0

Meddling with the Engine.ini config file is not "dangerous", you're just changing built-in commands that do not have an equivalent in the in-game menu. You cannot "turn anti-aliasing all the way down to exploit a few things". Anti-aliasing in this game is either On or Off, and all it does is attempt to smooth out jagged edges in the screenspace. You're thinking of other commands that could do things like disable fog or mess with the FOV.

They re-enabled specific commands such as r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0. I don't know if others like r.DefaultFeature.Bloom=False work still.

They didn't threaten us with bans. What they said was that the EAC client (which they have no control over) could for some bizarre reason change and instead of spitting out file modification errors (which it does right now), it'll just ban you from the game. I have no idea why this would ever happen and I suspect they've understood this too since config editing is possible again.

EAC cannot and will not ban you for CONFIG file editing. Especially since it's not directly in the game's directory. A lot of games provide the option to adjust config/ini file changes with no repercussions. If they truly don't want config editing, then they add code into the game that ignores config files altogether and read off predefined settings.
If EAC were to start doing that, then a lot of people would end up falsely banned, not just in DBD, but many many other games.

I'm a very wholesome player. At least until I feel I'm being treated wrong.
You know the golden rule - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

This is impossible. I have been told on great authority by someone in this very thread that the game is stable and if you are crashing it is all your fault.
Game is stable? Imagine that in 2020. I'd suggest filing a support ticket. Try to record the next incident if possible.

Just set a macro to spam A/D and [SPACE] ... Almost all keyboards come with a utility for it.
For sensitive games, just have it record you actually spamming those keys, so it looks more legit.
To me, manually hitting the same button over and over for an extended period of time is not feasible. I do have Carpal Tunnel, and it really hurts like hell doing it so much. A macro eases this tremendously.
Also, mouse wheel isn't possible, as my mouse wheel stops spinning the very second I let go of it. It's not one of those free-spin wheels.

Of COURSE you're ruining the game; you're denying the Killer BP by doing your infantile ragequit.
How utterly bereft of brain cells do you need to be to think only your fun matters? Or matters more than everyone else's? Or to think you ahve some right to ragequit for any reason whatsoever?
I speak smugly because I'm speaking from intelligence and fairness, not infantile 'I want' or 'I deserve' or 'I'm more important than' mentality.
Killer is also denying survivors of any potential BP gain. You can't just look at 1 side of this.
-
I sincerely believe that to a new player, a game that's not even supposed to be, or even trying to be competitive. A penalty for leaving 1 or 2 single matches will turn people away and request a refund.

But then the killer would just slug and you can't use ds so it's technically a lose lose situation and you'd be better off not running ds at all.
I don't think you've read my full comment. DS would last indefinitely until you do something. So slugging would be pointless. You either pick them up and eat the DS, or a survivor picks them up. Since a pickup from dying state is not considered a full heal, your DS will remain active.

No.

You definitely don't have enough experience against him. He isn't oppressive at all when you drop the pallet early, and for a killer who is 110% and has zero pallet play, that's sad. Every other lower movement speed killer has pallet play besides him, that's why in people's eyes who know how to counter him consider him very weak. Try and actually predicting where he's gonna shoot instead of praying that he's gonna miss, his small hitbox won't help him. Seriously try prematurely dropping pallets, he's helpless, instead of praying that he's bad.
Lol I laughed at this. As if I didn't try that.

BBQ has 12 uses maximum (11 useful ones). Distortion can counter 3 of those. Lockers can counter any aura perks. Getting close is a counter. Hiding behind gens is a counter. Soul survivor is a counter.
There are enough counters for one very limited effect that it is not even funny.
I just wanted to point out that hiding behind gens is no longer a counter. A few months ago they've changed the aura colours, making it clearly distinguishable weather a survivor is behind a gen. Otherwise, this is correct.

I personally still have the very strong opinion that guns do not belong in DBD. That is not horror, that's not what this game is.
For survivors, he's downright oppressive to go against. "Spam A/D", yeah, that only works to a point. You're still praying that he misses. I don't wanna spam A/D constantly during EVERY.SINGLE.CHASE, that's just boring. I am so disappointed that this even passed QA standards.
I would honestly take an iri heads+infantry belt huntress over this every single game. At least you can counter it.
I'm sorry, but deathslinger requires no skill at all. Skill to aim for .02 seconds? Anyone can do that, especially since all the world's top games are all, guess what? Shooters!!
I really can't help but feel like DBD is eventually gonna go down the same road Deathgarden has.
-
As a solo survivor player. I try to avoid red ranks and even purposely play like an idiot just to avoid it.
Why? Toxic tryhard killers. Both sides are bad. It isn't just killer who has it bad.
I just wanna have fun being the wholesome dweet that I am. Kinda hard to in red ranks though.

The notice would help newer killers. The only thing i would want changed about ds is if the killer hooks someone else it shuts off. Too many times i hook one, leave, hook another, the first survivor bt saves right in front of me, i down the first survivor again and they still have ds. I wasn't tunnelling as they came to me. As much as i hate ds i know why its still here. To help with tunneling off the hook. However even if i dont tunnel i still have to deal with it. When that 60 sec timer starts if they decide to get in my face i either have to slug or if they get in a locker i have to take the stun.
That's still abuseable. Way too abuseable by killers, actually.
I completely disagree with a deactivation if someone else gets hooked.
What's gonnna stop the killer from slugging you, or downing your rescuer within 10 seconds of saving you? Only to hook them, deactivate your DS, then hook you again, all in less than a minute. That's still technically tunnelling.
A survivor shouldn't be punished for other survivors ######### actions such as farming you.
---
A much better solution, in my very honest opinion, is deactivate when you interact with anything at all.
This means, it will deactivate if you: Touch a gen, touch a totem, go in a locker, unhook someone else, touch a gate, touch a hook (sabo), etc.
Because honestly, if you're doing any of the above mentioned, you're probably not being tunnelled.
Otherwise the timer should last indefinitely until you interact.
AND, to make it more fair for killer: During EGC, there WILL be a 20 second timer on DS, no matter what, instead of lasting forever.
-
An equal combination of teammates hiding all game, teammates farming me off the hook, or teammates not knowing how to loop a killer.
More often than not, even horrible game design.
-
All I hear is "nerf this, nerf that" ... what's next?

This, exactly this.

In it's current state? No.
August 2019: Before and during this period? Loved it.
September 2019: Absolutely hated the servers [still do]. Interest started to drop since around this time.
November 2019: Really started to dislike the direction DBD was going.
March 2020: Started to utterly hate DBD. Had to stop playing it for almost a whole 2 months (up till now).
Currently (May 2020): Don't care for the game anymore. Found better things to do.
DBD just isn't fun anymore. Like, at all.
-
@ OP, Yes.
My vote choice reflects differently, because my connection is 100% stable.
I average a solid 0-20 ping on every other game, and on Fibre Gigabit.
Penalty system doesn't belong in a game like DBD.
-
Billy isn't fun to me. Trapper, out of the 3. Most fun is Myers.

@BigBrainMegMain said:
People say gg?
I haven't seen it in months.
Entitlement has gone through the roof and matches aren't feeling fair enough for a gg.
Agreed. I stopped saying anything at all. I just leave.
-
Myers has so many play styles and is overall in my opinion the most balanced killer.
Not too oppressive to survivors, has to work for his instadown power, etc.
-
As much as I like Myers, I want Shirtless Dwight!
-
I'm not about to read a wall of text. But this reply sums up my response pretty well I think:
@Ivaldi said:
Killers: Survivors are OP, BHVR HELP!
*BHVR Releases a patch completely removing many safe pallets/infinites in every map, plus nerfing Gen speeds*
Killers the next day: SURVIVORS ARE STILL TOO OP! Remove their ability to run plz.
If killer is so terrible to play, try playing something else ..?
A 4K shouldn't be handed to killers every single game. You win some, you lose some. That applies to both sides.
As much as you may hate to hear this, but survivors kind of NEED "2nd chance perks". If survivors have no chance and only die within 20/30s of every single chase, then people will quit playing survivor, meaning your queues will be A LOT longer, meaning the game will eventually die.
Survivors need a chance. It's needed, for balance, and for the game to remain alive.
-
Dwight. Can relate in many ways.
-
I honestly think that preventing players from modifying their game settings really harms the game in the long-run.
If something is being done maliciously, then look into THAT and FIX what's "malicious", instead of screwing all possible settings modifications.
-
Make EGC go 5x faster if all survivors are within the area of an opened gate, and nobody is in chase/hook?
-
I can agree with this. I have 6 different friends whom I convinced to get DBD and try it out. They all can agree that the game is pretty fun up until about 100 hours in. I always hear the same thing from them, and I can honestly agree with what they're saying:
- BloodPoint grind is way too hard and incredibly time consuming. Especially considering the number of both killer and survivors.
- Player toxicity in post-game chat really makes the game as a whole, look bad.
- Bad servers/latency - Despite having a good PC/Internet. Speed/Ping tests are 100% fine.
- Solo queue survivor sucks horribly.
- Going up against any decent Deathslinger, in it's entirety. Feels incredibly oppressive to survivors.
- Same case as above, but to add on: Guns do NOT belong in DBD.
- Almost every Hillbilly player is an infectious fright/insta-saw tryhard.
- Most Spirit players aren't any better (than the previous mentioned).
-
Good

killers that needs to spend time to get their one shot are fair. Like oni (certain add-ons are in fact annoying), Myers and ghostface needs to spend time for their one shot power.
And leatherface needs to be litterly in your ass to reach you with his chainsaw. The only killer that might be unfair is Billy but thats it.
Agreed.
-
Dwight. Hands down. Now, if only we had a Shirtless Dwight cosmetic ... *drools a bit*

Dweard is the opposite of sexy. You need default dwight all the way.
-
Shirtless Dwight, yes!
-
Survivor: Bond, BT, Kindred, WGLF
Killer: BBQ (w/o bp), Monstrous Shrine.
I would include Shadowborne in that, but honestly there should just be an FOV slider in settings.
-
Hag - Crouching all game is boring, I never run flashlights - Also, she's very campy.
Deathslinger - Literally no counter except pray that he misses.
Ghostface - Broken reveal / LoS mechanic.
Hillbilly - Every single one I go against sweats their balls off and slugs at 5 gens.
-
Or just add dc bots, like mobile has ... problem solved
-
I would rather have Bond as basekit for Dwight. Really any character, have at least one of their perks be basekit so you can actually also use other perks.
-
Sprint Burst or Urban Evasion. Walking all game is boring, same goes for crouching. It feels incredibly unproductive.
-
Yes yes, and so much yes.
-
I don't say anything, ever. Not even a "gg". I just leave immediately.
-
Iced, but it has to have real sugar + a splash of milk (that goes for coffee in general, to me)
-
Medkit because you 97% of the time can't rely on teammates healing you while playing solo survivor.
-
Shirtless Dwight pls.
-
This would be my tier list. Contrary to a lot of people - I actually enjoy going against a Freddy, and hate going against billy.
The "ehh" part depends entirely on their playstyle.
