If someone gives an offering for RpoopD, my game mysteriously crashes. If I get it by chance as a survivor, I cry but try. If I get it by chance as killer, I throw a dance party at the exit gate or go make a sammich.

@MandyTalk can you help us with that issue plz
It is against forum rules to tag mods or devs.
Wasn't always like this, but they changed it recently. I guess they got tired of people tagging them for bs.

"Overall, I'm playing the game to win and using the most effective strategies to do so regardless of how the other side feels about them"
I think It´s sad to have this mentality on a multiplayer game. 99% of people play for fun, not coz they are pro players of this game. As killer, if u create more funny games, more people will enjoy the game and you´ll have more player base to play with. But thanks for your sincerity.
You have to define what "fun" is. I dabbled a lot in killer when I first played this game and there were only a few matches that were what I considered as fun. Most of the time, the survivors I went up against made it seem like their fun was to completely dominate me and prevent me from accomplishing anything. Even when I gave up, they would refuse to open the doors and leave. I'd go get something to eat or use the restroom and come back to see them all t-bagging and vault spamming.
A sad fact of this player base is that many people find it fun to put down their opponent as much as they can and when they don't get their way, they resort to insulting them. I don't blame killers for not taking it easy on survivors from the start of the match, it could easily come back and bit them in the ass, which happens more often than survivors on here want to admit.

No dancing. Some simple emotes, like the Killer laughing would be nice tho.

You can also watch evolution of other killers, if you want.
So nerfs she got:
-increased The Pig's the Terror Radius from 28 metres to 32 metres.
-Reverse Bear Traps only become active when a Generator is completed
It used to be always active when all gens are completed.
-inactive Reverse Bear Traps no longer trigger when attempting to leave via the Exit Gate.
-The Pig's Ambush Attack is no longer considered a Basic Attack.
So she never was good killer, but her end-game power used to be insane.
Thank you! I’ll be sure to watch the video when I get home from work. It’ll be interesting to see how the game devolved from what it once was.
Coming from a survivor main who dabbles in killer and doesn’t own Pig, I really think that if the Pig manages to down and trap someone’s head after gens are done, the trap should be armed. There needs to be more gravitas for survivors in this game.

And she wasn't even strong on release
Out of curiosity, what was she like on release?
-
Give me whatever drugs you're on because I too want to live in a new reality. No way Spirit isn't "good enough" against good survivors. She is fine as is and needs no nerfs and definitely needs no buffs. So please, share so I can go on a nice trip.

Not everyone who plays this game is on comms.
Never said everyone did. Devs should still balance around communication and implement something like a preset text wheel or something and make the game more fair for solo and killers.

That concept is so absurd and out of leftfield that I very much want it in the game now.
I know! It started off as a joke but if done right, it can be so soooo good!

It is my crutch perk. I can’t play the game without it. Self Care used to be but I learned to use Inner Strength and Med Kits. I tried to give up Spine Chill but then all I get are Myers and Ghostface with a sprinkling of Spirit.
Also, since I’m bad, and can’t run while looking behind myself, it helps me in chase. The speed boost to repairing gens is also helpful when the killer is camping someone and I’m doing a gen right in their face.

I've given up with any hope of a buff for trapper. They must know most people agree he should have more than one trap base and an easier way of getting more traps but they have chosen not to do anything
No, there is always hope! They’ll get around to buffing Trapper in 2059 where they will give him slightly faster trap setting speed and increase the amounts of traps in a match by one! They will also give him a shiny new cosmetic!

You can't weaken the voice communication when it's a third party software or imbedded into the console software.
They can balance killers around communications and well coordinated teams.
They won’t though, since they know lots of those teams(who spend money on cosmetics and show them off in their videos) play this game to bully or humiliate the killer and if killers were actually fairly balanced around them, those players wouldn’t play or stream their bully matches.

No. Killer main the whole purpose is teamwork SWF DOESN'T have it if your out of the sight of the hooked so stop making this super causal for surviving and killers are literally playing literally name a game that becomes brolen and favorite to one side.
Someone in a SWF can let their team know if the killer is still there, if they left and what direction the killer went. It really isn't much different than kindred. And no, the game wouldn't break, the only thing that would break are lazy killers who want to camp and feed off of survivor altruism, in hopes of getting an easy 4k.
-
If this game is getting you this angry, it's time to stop playing it. Don't get me wrong, I used to get really angry when I first started. It just felt like everything was against me and that survivors weren't playing a fair game, but I took a step back and realized that Killer is harder by design and that it is naturally a very frustrating role. It isn't worth getting all bent out of shape for it and led me to main survivor, though in the end, I'm just wasting time here until I find a new game to get addicted to.
I suggest you try to find a new game or just avoid playing killer. It doesn't get better unless you master Nurse, Spirit and Blight.
-
@Pennywise said:
It isn't closer, you are just increasing the power of both. Solo gets more powerful, SWF gets more powerful, it doesn't solve anything other than making the game harder for killers.
It only slightly increases the power of SWF. It doesn't take away killer agency and it encourages killers to not camp. Yes, it will be harder for killers to camp a survivor, the horror!
They can also do as others have said and just take away the killers aura all together. There, it's no longer harder for the killer and the current perk can be kept as is in order to give the survivors the option of revealing the killer if they so choose to equip it.
-
@Pennywise said:
Kindred is still very useful in SWF. We don't have to speak on where the killer is going because we can already see it, so we can react faster. It is also useful when mindgaming a camping killer at the killer shack if they are camping a hooked survivor in the basement.
The only way to bring solo anywhere near close to SWF without buffing SWF as well, is to have ingame comms. The majority may not use the ingame comms, but they will listen to it (all it takes is one good survivor to communicate to the whole group to make them effective), which already brings solo somewhere in the vicinity of SWF.
I'd rather base kit kindred over hearing mouth breathing 14 year olds. I know it will be more work for the balancing team, but it is the better option.

Hey, don't blame me, blame the Devs. They have to make everything conform to the slasher genre as much as possible because that's the pitch of DbD, which means that gothic horror villains aren't a huge priority. They're the antithesis of slasher - all the ones you listed fall into the slahser trope of mindless, brute-force, emotionally unattached and amoral Bad Guys.
Whereas gothic horror is more about the psychological and emotional aspects of horror, epitomised by Vampires (almost universally depicted as highly intelligent and sophisticated that love psychological torture) and Werewolves (almost universally depicted as a tragic villain cursed beyond their control, often with an emotional connection to the protagonists). The Twins are the ones that first kinda introduced that to DbD.
So, yeah. Different kinds of horror beg for different kinds of villain, which is why the vampire we have in DbD isn't even considered a vampire. He's so slasher that he doesn't look gothic.
They can go the route of Blood: The Last Vampire and give us Saya as a survivor and a monsterous vampire portrayed in the film, though, I’d prefer a Dracula Tyler with a flowing cape and has the ability to float rather than walk and turn into smoke.

It's a big meteor and the map has accidentally been deleted and replaced with a big rock in the shape of Claudette morel.
With cats and baby cows that allow players to pet them walking around.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
I have a much better solution: delete the map.
Nah, they should redesign it to where a meteor has struck it and make it an outdoor map.

Bad news

We'll just be getting 2 of them.
So just RPoopD and one new one? I am disappoint.
-
I hope they give us 4 original maps in the next year. All the maps feel the same and it's gotten boring. My favorite map at the moment is Ormond, only because I rarely see it and because it's so different from the other maps. Being easy on the eyes helps too! Unfortunately, it seems like new maps break the game so I don't really have much hope.
-
If a killer is friendly, I take caution and go look for totems asap.
If they farm and let me achieve my challenge and I don't need to escape, I let them kill me.
-
Nope, I'm bad no matter what role or perks I play.
-
I appreciate sometimes how easy it can be to fool a Spirit in a chase and watch them walk off in the wrong direction, looking behind trees and rocks or searching in lockers, hoping to find me.
I also appreciate how they don't expect Spine Chill and use their power to come to my gen, hoping to get a grab, only to find no one, not knowing I'm watching them with glee from the safety of a bush. Makes me giggle when I see them trying to be clever and walk off only to immediately come back with their power and still not be able to find me, all while two gens pop in the distance.
-
I was hoping you were going to say you finally figured out how to transmute yourself a new body. I am disappoint.
-
He's currently the weakest killer in the game. If you want to even have a slight chance at getting more than one kill, you will have to camp/tunnel and bring in NoEd. Gens go by so fast, that by the time you finish traversing the world for your traps and setting them up, find a survivor and hook them, 3 will be completed.
I suggest if you want to play him, either don't care about winning, or base your strategy around the basement. Devour Hope with Bloody Coil can be nice when the totem isn't on a hill.
-
There are seven gens.
-
I never really pay attention to names unless everyone is using the same character and wearing the same cosmetics.
-
@Shaped said:
God I have an awesome idea how to fix this. Just bear with me.
What if timer stops when the killer is in the same match as hooked survivor?
No, that's boring. Survivors should be able to jump off of first hook, instantly heal themselves, force the killer to teleport to the far side of the map and cleanse a totem in order to remove a hook state.

@Ludicris said:
That's not really impressive given with the current state of the game, it's really easy to run the Killer 5 gens. You're untouchable if you know how to run every loop, calculate distance, and Killer weaknesses.
However I would never say no to the idea that players get more points. Players do need more points.
While I agree to some extent, that isn’t the fault of the player. The devs are at fault for not balancing the maps to be fair for both sides and have tiles/loops be 50/50 and properly spaced.
-
@Nathan13 said:
shouldn’t the killer be rewarded the same amount of points too??
No, because they’re failing to down the survivor. Killers should be rewarded for fast downs, not for getting kited for most of the match. Part of being a killer is to know when to abandon a chase.
-
@DemonDaddy said:
Doing one thing really well doesn't equate to compensation for lack of other activities. Ignoring gens or altruism is a choice and BP usually reflects this.
In swf, it's fine if someone wants to be the designated runner. As for solo, one person holding all the attention until the gates open only detracts from everyone else's experience. Several players claim chase is the only enjoyable action and neer endless chases hinder access to this.
That’s the thing, the one being chased isn’t ignoring gens or other objectives. They’re being chased for most of the match and the killer refuses to go after anyone else. There were times I’d literally stand in a doorway in order to block the killer and they’d take a different route to continue the chase. So how is this player supposed to do anything if the killer has tunnel vision?

As long as you are having fun😁...it is sad I would rather do the same and play killer sparingly afterwards (trying to get some of the lores done but man it is ridiculous now).
I still dabble in killers when I get bored of dying in solo queue, but yea, the game is getting stale and getting my butt kicked over and over as killer doesn't help. I hope to find a new addiction soon.
-
I dropped all of them and main the Best.
I main Claudette.
Since I couldn't beat them, I joined them. I have chill, stress free matches where I just have to hold M1 and click on space a few times. Occasionally, I may have to hold Shift +W and drop a few pallets and slowly walk out the exit gate. Even if I perform poorly, I don't get death threats or insults anymore!
-
High risk, high reward. They shouldn't have gotten butt hurt over it. No better than survivors who dc over getting downed first. Big babies.
-
R.P.D. = Repulsive Poopy Doody.
Unfortunately, there is no way they would delete it. Only if they lose the license for it.
-
Because people who play this game don't want a challenge, they want an easy game that holds their hand so they obliterate their opponents.
-
Tohru from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
She won't fit in this game but I just finished rewatching the first season and I fell in love with her all over again. I wish it had more episodes.
Pride from FMA would be great too.

I can only hope they actually mean it for the Halloween event. I can only imagine how upset people would be if they screwed up another Halloween event.
I had lots of hope for it up until the anniversary. Now my expectations are tempered and all I'm expecting are some blood points/shards and a cosmetic. No new temporary mechanics or temporary holiday game mode because they're too much work. I read a suggestion once where they poster suggested that the devs give us a holiday mode where the killer is only Myers and the map has no gens. Instead, the survivors have to do their best to hide and dodge the killer and only one survivor can escape, that is if they're the last alive and make it to the exit/hatch before Myers gets to them. Would be nice to spice the game up from time to time.

They also once said they would never add a clown killer because there is a real phobia for that.
They also said that they’re going to stop doing events in order to go all out on their Anniversary and Halloween. Anniversary passed and it just felt like another broken chapter.
-
Devs have also said they were going to optimize the game for console and look at the performance today……
Don’t take anything they say to heart.

I'd like to know only because I'd like to see how common swf actually are.
