Survivors complain about anything that counters them. Slugging is boring sure but so is a 3min gen rush.

How to beat the nurse:
Break line of sight and juke her to hell and back.
It becomes quiet easy and fun after the first game or two to play against her.
PS. I do usually run PC nurses for 3-5 gens in a single chase if they don't break off the chase from me to go after someone else.
I don't want you to think I'm saying this to be rude but if what you said is true they you have not been playing against a good Nurse. A good Nurse will shut you down very quickly, no matter how good you are. You rely on the Nurse making a mistake, not the other way around.

As a PS4 DBD player for the last 2 years, I feel like I've gotten quite good at the game, red ranks on the seasons where I've played, rank 1 alot of the time. But one thing you don't encounter much on PS4 is Nurse players, I could go maybe 40 matches without getting matched against a nurse before crossplay. But now that crossplay has been added, I'm getting matched against at least 1 nurse per day, often 3 or 4. How have you PC survivor players put up with her for so long? It often feels like there is no counterplay to her except dead hard, which is one use only. Whereas doubling back between blinks or 360ing typically works against the few console PS4 nurse players I used to go against, it never seems to work against the PC nurses I get matched with because high DPI mouses allow PC nurses to turn so quickly. It's enough to make me want to disable crossplay, but then my matchmaking times will be truly dreadful (they were awful before the crossplay update, still not great now but better than they were).
She feels like there is no counterplay because there isn't. You rely on her making mistakes to escape her, if she doesn't make mistakes then you stand no chance, the reason she is okay being this strong is because she is extremely hard to play well. If you find a Nurse who is shutting you down left and right then he has poured hundreds of hours into her to get that good. Another thing factoring into your experience is the fact you never vs-ed a good Nurse before crossplay, so you don't know the best ways to deal with a good Nurse (which I can promise you is not a 360.) Give it time, you will adjust and get better.

Legion is the only Killer imho who needs a full on rework. He is weak and unfun to vs. Everytime I see him in his power I actually role my eyes and get annoyed when he hits me because it's just such a stupid power. Don't get me wrong, OG legion was total bs, but this legion is just boring and unfun to vs, even when I win it's a sour experience.

IN MY OPINION
As a PS4 surv, since crossplay is a thing, i'm already thinking to disable it since 8 games on 10 facing a PC killer, its gonna be a guy that tunnel/camps you to death
No salt but i was wondering why PC people acts like that ? I mean PS4 players are more fun to play with / against
And to the question "YoU cANt SaY ThEyRe Pc" yes, i can actually, with the names and a little experience its pretty easy to see it...
In conclusion, it's bad that this part of the community seems like that, no offense but i dont think im the only one to feel it.
Bye crossplay
You have no idea if it is a PC killer, Xbox Killer or even Switch Killer, all you know is that he isn't a PS4 killer. I really wish people would stop assuming something then making an extremely aggressive remark about something they very obviously don't understand.
-
You treat Freddy like you treat Clown, he isn't hard to win vs the only thing that puts him over clown is not having to reload his traps and the teleport, his chase is basically the same.
-
I agree this perk has no place in this game, it breaks it in so many ways it is stupid. Genuinely the only thing in the game I consider truly overpowered beyond saving.

Make it so that you can drop pallet even if the killer is in the middle of it. I can't tell you how many times I couldn't drop pallet cause the killer could suddenly teleport to the middle or your character was just being an idiot
Sounds like someone overshot his deadhard and couldn't pallet stun the killer. How about learn how to use your perks before saying killers are to strong.
-
The shock stops them from opening the hatch or jumping in an open hatch for the duration of the stun, in the same way it stops them from vaulting, dropping pallets, etc. Other than this nothing stops the survivor from using a key, if they are on the hatch with a key they escape, period.
-
Dying light is not a good perk at all, don't run it. Literally any other slow down perk is better.
-
Just do bones.
-
SWF squads who want to gen rush will gen rush you can't do anything to stop it, they spread out to separate gens and M1 if they aren't being chased, this is why they are considered the "power role" in the game, you simply don't have the time to get any pressure to slow them down. I'm a rank 1 survivor and killer who regularly SWFs and puts down SWFs and I can say that just accept the lose, the game simply isn't balanced around you being able to counter an optimal group of survivors focused on gens. Best to move on to the next game because truly good survivors don't try to hammer out gens as quickly as possible, they enjoy interacting with the killer.
-
Had a Spirit game with my buddies earlier today and she had strider, bbq, pop and noed and all 4 of us still escaped, he was a rank 1 btw. No need to do bones, just use dead hard :)
-
You know I consider myself a fairly decent player in most areas of this game but I never considered myself top tier and yet all these "Spirit OP" posts make me wonder if I really am just god tier in my gameplay because I NEVER struggle vs a spirit, even a good one I escape most of the time.

It's so nice to NOT be able to change killer once I enter a lobby right? why is this a thing?
I played against 4 survivors with flashlights, I didn't have LightBorn for my P3 GF and I couldn't change killer thanks to the new "feature".
The game went on and EVERY ONE of the survivors teabagged me at EVERY thing they did, either if it was a pallet drop, pallet stun, a gen popping in my face, etc. They did the flashlight CLICKY CLIC CLIC thing too ALL the time.
Suddenly, I noticed I was generalizing cause one of them wasn't toxic like the others, so, I let him go in the end, but the others, OMG the others! I wanted a special ending for all of them, Killed one and Slugged the most toxic ones in the End Game instead of giving them the 3rd hook.
3 men SWF, the 4th one I let go was from another platform, how do I know it was a 3 men SWF? Cause they invited me to their party (Xbox), I guess they wanted no messages to be left as evidence.
The insults could be heard, from "beaner" to "wall jumper", the racist screams were all over the party, my only anwer? "HAHAHAHAHAHA". *Proceeded to leave the party, reported the 3 of them.
TODAY I WOKE UP TO A NICE THING, a message from XBOX "An action has been taken against a player you reported", 3 of those messages one after another.
I have a video of the end game, btw, a jewel I intend to keep.
I find posts bragging about this sort of thing just as distasteful as the people who initiated the aggression in the first place.
-
I would love if they added chat for console players. Also keep in mind you have no idea what platforms people are playing on, only that they are not on yours. You could have met nothing but PC players or you could have never met a single one, just don't assume.
-
Legion isn't the worst killer in the game but he is easily top 5 weakest. Oni and PH on the other hand are easily top 5 strongest so there is really no comparison between them.
-
Oh you mean that one bug that they "fixed" like 4 times now? kekekekekekeke
-
Just make the EGC start when the last gen is done. Increase the base timer if you must but I would really like the EGC to actually force the game to end instead of just being something that shows up when you close the hatch.
-
Slinger is fine, he is a top tier (possibly the second best only to Nurse) 1v1 killer and is balanced by having literally no map mobility at all. In fact he has the literal worse map mobility in the game; a perma 110 killer with no way to teleport or speed up.
-
Bruh, I didn't even know the ban went this high. Not gonna lie, perhaps this game isn't meant for you if you d/c THIS much my dude.
-
There is no strongest full 4 perk build for survivors, some of them are interchangeable, I would say the strongest perk combo is DS + Unbreakable though, the remaining 2 perks can be swapped out for various combos.
-
I'd be down for this, it would need to be 200% free BPs if you ask me.
-
Wow imagine needing to have an extra FoV to play survivor. That is flat out cheating, shame on you dude.

You are affected by the Broken Status Effect for the duration of the Trial. Your thick blood coagulates practically instantly.
- You do not leave Pools of Blood
- Grunts of Pain caused by injuries are reduced by 0/25/50 % at any time.
- Grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State
Let's ignore the noise reduction for a moment to consider that this perk removes the pools of blood that would normally appear for an injured survivor. What confuses me is that Oni somehow reaches into an inter-dimensional plane where he miraculously gobbles up my nonexistent / instantaneously coagulated blood. Can we like, not let Oni slurp me from the 5th dimension so I have more time to tbag at pallets?
Cool, thanks.
They said why No Mither doesn't stop you from dropping blood orbs and the reason was: Perks aren't meant to counter a Killer's power.
-
I'm gonna be totally honest, when I saw this massive paragraph I didn't even read it. If you want to write and essay that's fine, but please put it together like you finished high school, because I'm not reading this mass of text.

Okay, I'm honestly tired of seeing this phrase when people talk about anything. It comes up a lot as an argument against Spirit or Deathslinger.
Look at the end of the day every killer and tactic has counter play. There were legit like 5 things in this game ever to not have counter play. Old Legion was one of them. Infinite loops (as in double window at cow tree with no bloodlust and no entity blocker) had no counter play. Heck even in the current game, yes, some stuff has little to no counter play. Ebony Mori. Keys.
But dear Jebus, every time someone tried to argue for a change to a killer they always bring up "no counter play". "Bro there is nothing you can do, you just lose, just D/C already". That's basically what I hear.
Spirit has counter play. Deathslinger has counter play. Now I don't like Deathslinger either, I think it's just a lame experience to get speared with no real way to fight back after that point. But that doesn't mean there is 0 counter play. Even as someone that hates Slinger I can acknowledge that there are ways to avoid getting shot. Tall wall loops work good. Dropping the pallet early generally helps. Janky movement can make it harder for the killer.
Oh yea, and hiding works. It works against Spirit too. "Hiding isn't counter play". Uh yes, it actually is. A 110 killer doesn't have the time to thoroughly search an area. If you never get found you never get caught. I've won games against many killers (Slingers and Spirits included) by just hiding. Yea, it's not exactly an exciting experience. It's boring, ESPECIALLY for killers (I've had people hide on me and it sucks), and it's a bit of a cheesey tactic but it's still a legit tactic at the end of the day. Hide near a gen, keep tapping it, force the 110 killer to search everywhere for you and give up pressure on the rest of the map. If everyone is doing this they will have to commit at some point because this is a battle of attrition and they will lose.
And I get people don't like these killers, again I hate Slinger. But come up with some original arguments and stop parroting a buzzword you heard. It's getting ridiculous.
Every killer has counterplay that they can never overcome no matter how skilled they are: Gen speed. If survivors spread out to separate gens and focus on doing gens even at the cost of a few hook states you will never win as killer, period.
-
You can hear her phasing, when you are outside her TR as it should be.
-
I want Kate in a bikini.
-
I agree, I dont want the EGC to give me free kills I want it to stop the entire tram from hiding, healing everyone to full and then waiting out their DH timers before they go in for a hook save rush. EGC serves no purpose right now, either start EGC when the last gen is done or make them regress.

@BabyDweetMain said:
Gen rushing isn't a thing. That is a survivors only objective. Killers are supposed to stop that. Killers need some sort of pressure or else it'd be a cake walk. That's why there's perks and full on builds dedicated to stopping gen progression. If gen rushing is an issue for a killer than they need to run those perks and practice gen patrolling. Maybe pick a killer like legion who's good at stalling gens.
Slow down perks shouldn't be mandatory to do well, these perks should help make it easier not be completely required on all but the strongest killers. People say "don't increase gen time it's boring to hold M1." But these same people are so gen hungry they let their teammates die trying to rush the game as quickly as possible.
-
Wow what an original discussion, never seen one of THESE before.
-
This perk will dunk on mediocre/bad survivors. Good survivors always use their speed boost after being hit to get as much distance as possible, which I promise is more than 16 meters, much more in fact. This perk is terrible if you ask me.
-
I just want them to fix that camera crap where he flings 180 degrees after swinging during his power. It's so disorienting and I have lost chases because of it.
-
@OBX said:
How about 2+ second chance perks?
2+ why not just try 4 and a key!
-
For all the crying on these forums about camping and tunneling now we complain about the one perk in the game that gives killers a BIG reason to do neither of these things? Okay.
-
He has an add on that reveals the aura of those who tier up, or did before his rework, pretty sure he still has them?

I already had to deal with bad wifi killers with just xbox hut with crossplay now I get vpn users from China hitting me through windows.
It's very frustrating that you guys wont prioritize this because it really is a turn off getting downed after you fully land through a window let alone take steps.
Actually I wanna say that the fact that you take any steps and getting hit should of been fixed as soon as it started happening commonly especially because like is said before when you fully land after vaulting you are safe.
Point is devs take some time and improve survivor, and killer experience because sometimes it's possible for VPN survivor to ruin killer games.
They won't prioritize it? Please don't insult others about matters you know nothing about. Setting up something like that is extremely difficult to get done correctly, because if it is off by even just a fraction of a second it can utterly ruin a Killer's ability to even play the game. This is absolutely something they need to take their time with because it effects the core aspect of playing killer. I for one am glad they are taking their time with it.

how come my queue times havent been affected then? you can make as many stories as you want but at the end of the day pc its the one needing the consoles crowd not the other way
Go a read the explanation on crossplay yourself, it says it when you highlight it.
-
@dastru said:
people seem to miss the point of crossplay; its purely to reduce PC queue times, i havent noticed any major difference in my queue times so im good, that crossplay setting its staying off until we get consoles crossplay
That is an absolute lie, que times for PC have always been better than for console. Crossplay helps consoles more than PC by a long shot. I for one do not enjoy playing with people who have attitudes like you. Also in case you are curious, opting out of crossplay prevents you from playing with ANYONE who has crossplay on, including those on your platform.
-
Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
-
Stealth has it's place in this game to be sure. Sometimes it is very smart to be stealthy (Oni just used Blood Fury, etc) but when people are playing P3 claudette and hiding in bushes all game it becomes extremely boring.
-
Spirit is never getting reworked and likely will never even be touched again, you guys need to just learn how to play against her lol. I really hate saying this because it sounds rude but: gitgud, seriously she isn't that hard to beat.
-
A good Huntress is one of the strongest killers in the game by far, I don't play on console so I can't comment on your FPS issues but on PC a good Huntress is an absolute nightmare to beat.
-
Tbh I don't want them to touch it, not because it doesn't need love because it absolutely does, it's because if they do they will likely butcher his other add ons and give him some kind of power nerf on top of it most likely giving him some kind of overheat mechanic while dashing during his power.
-
They will never add a counter to DS, they don't want you to counter it.
-
And here I was hoping they would pick a song from the backstreet boys to play during legion chases.
-
I would point out that you have no idea if you have even had a single PC survivor. All you know is they are not your platform, that's it.
-
I would just like to point out, if you turn cross play off you don't play with people only on your platform, you play with people only from your platform who have ALSO turned off cross play, so you have a much much smaller pool of players to play with, just keep that in mind.
