Pop's duration is being reduced because we found you could spend too much time doing other things and still have it available.

    Sounds a lot like another 60s perk I know of...wink wink. :)

  • My guess is with full injured/dying/hooked teammates the new value is going to be 18-20% gen speed reduction. I would be VERY surprised if it got more than a 1% buff per survivor.

  • Because it punishes them for just trying to slam gens and do nothing else, that's why they complain about it. They want to use full second chance builds and slam gens for extremely easy wins but this perk combo is a serious punisher for that kind of play-style. Don't worry though, I'm sure undying will get nerfed into hot garbage, the devs don't want survivors to have to change up their builds to do side objectives easier. Notice how PGTW gets nerfed but not a single survivor meta perk is touched?

  • I feel like the PGTW nerf isn't required at all. First off, it's a good perk but not OP or BS, secondly it is something you can run in place of ruin which I think is a good thing. This nerf isn't serious but seems a bit unnecessary. I for one would leave the perk alone, if you are able to hook someone, find someone else and down them in less than 60s then you deserve a second pop. The rest of the perk changes seem fantastic though.

  • The sounds were added because when they changed their base sounds it was far to quite for killers to hear if a survivor was actually on a gen and it not just ticking by itself. The change was a good one and it should stay.

  • I mean, it's a strong perk that motivates survivors not to use second chance BS so I for one think it's perfectly fine as is.

  • This map is absolute trash and needs to be deleted from the game. Unacceptable unbalanced in survivor's favor, in fact it's so survivor favored I don't even enjoy it on survivor, an extremely boring map where the killer only really gets 1 chase before 4-5 gens are done.

    Ruin + Undying + Tinkerer

Slap this on a killer, particularly a high mobility one, and you got yourself the most boosted player you will ever see.

These players do not know what pressure is to save their life. You can feed their build and try to cleanse totems to get rid of their perks, or you can just get a gen high progressed and lead them away, go back to it when they leave you (because they will) and bam, the player is exposed as the bot they are. The fact this is a build to vs almost every game is ridiculous. The calibre of player skill level in dbd is utter garbage XD this builds proves it to be that way.

Yeah well those boring Killers have been dealing with the same "meta" of survivor perks for years, get comfortable friend because as long as DS and UB can be stacked the way they are you have no right to complain.

  • I play based on the survivor's playstyle. If people are slow on gens and not all that great in chases I take it easier on people and give people plenty of time to unhook/heal, etc. If it's a sweaty team though I will do what it takes to win, and that sometimes includes tunneling/camping. If you abuse DS on me by hoping in a locker I'll always tunnel you though, it's a d1ck move and I don't tolerate it.

The thing is, Deathslinger has two dumb Tools in his Kit:

Free zoning by faking his Power

    Shooting without any reaction time

You cannot react to a shooting Deathslinger, it is simply not possible, it is too fast. And by faking his power, he gets free zoning potential, meaning he can use it to get you outpositioned.

The only thing that somewhat works is to stick on Gens and use high-wall structures as much as possible. Last thing is RNG tho, and you cannot stick on thos structures all the time. And against a good Deathslinger, it is really hard to avoid getting shot/hit.

It also does not feel rewarding at all if I "dodge" a shot. Because the Deathslinger missed. It was not anything I did good at this point. Huntress, on the other hand (as another ranged Killer), feels rewarding when dodging a Hatchet.

You aren't mean to be able to counter his quick scoping ability, that is the entire reason he has literally no cooldown with it at all. His counterplay is to not give him the chase, in chase if he is good YOU LOSE because you are meant to, he is an extremely high skill cap killer and his power reflects that. If you struggle with him "faking" his power then try to adopt the W strategy a bit more and avoid the chase as much as you can because it takes him a very long time to catch up.

  • Can someone please tell me how to make discussions in general chat? Ever since the last forum update I can't seem to figure it out.

  • I for one am loving this DS bug, I never use that crutch perk when I play survivor and it is almost always abused and never used for it's intended effect.

    Two things:

    1. the Devour Hope challenge. People are cheesing this with Mori's/NOED/Haunted etc (and I can't blame them, given how unreliable a totem like Devour Hope is to stay up long enough to meet the challenge requirements on it's own).
    2. Mori's are getting nerfed soon-ish? So to everyone who said "zomg everyone uses moris" - you're about to find out what that actually feels like. No longer will they have to exaggerate. Killer mains have hundreds (some thousands) of mori's backlogged, because they haven't used them. Now they will before the nerf.

They said it's on their list of things to be changed but it is way down the road, so no moris are not likely to get nerfed anytime soon. They will be nerfed, but very likely not for a long time.

  • Myers needs only a very few small QoL changes. Maps are in the work for being fixed and this will help him greatly. All I would really do for Myers is make him faster in T1 and able to get bloodlust, also give him GF's stalking treatment; he stalks at full speed no matter the distance from the survivor. Other than this along with map changes I wouldn't touch him, I play him at rank 1 all the time and have no trouble getting consistent 4ks, mind you I don't even use OP add ons are crazy slow down perks. My most common build is the green bow, judith's memorial along with Bamboozle + Enduring + Spirit Fury + Brutal Strength. Sure he can be countered by spreading out and doing separate gens but literally every killer is powerless to stop that so Myers isn't an exception that is just bad game mechanics.

  • He really doesn't need any changes to his add ons, they are strong but not OP. The "OP" ones have severe downsides so I think he is fine tbh. Once maps get fixed he will be much more viable.

  • You're devotion rank 3 bruh, you aren't new to this game and you aren't rank 20.

  • I have met the same speed hacker 3 different times in the last two months, I don't feel like they are actually taking this seriously because he doesn't even change his name...

  • These are actually pretty good ideas for the most part, I am disappointed to not see a Lullaby rework in here though. :(

  • Can someone explain to me how you post in general now? Because I get this dumb list I have to pick and general isn't on them.

  • @kaeru said:

Streamer Scott Jund said that good Deathslinger has no counterplay. And if survivor managed to juke his power it is not because survivor is good but because killer made a mistake. This is all I know.

Slinger has the same counterplay every killer has. Spread out and do separate gens, you will never not finish them all, even if the killer is extremely good.

Not all SWFs are bad, only sweat squads. Most I meet when playing killer are nice to me (I turn off cross-play as killer)

Sweat squads are way more common that people like to pretend they are. Sure they might not be that .0001% that never loses ever, but they can easily make a match extremely unfun and it happens all the time. You won't see if it you don't play like that but that doesn't mean it isn't a common issue. I experience sweat squads more often than solo ques, by a long shot. Perhaps I'm just unlucky I couldn't say, but the I find playing as killer I meet toxic survivors a lot more than toxic killers when I'm playing survivor.

  • @Mekochi said:

I will still play the game, cuz I payed good money. But every single game out of the 30+ games I've done solo queue, everyone keeps tunneling and camping. Every. Single. Game. Only one game I didn't get tunneled/camped cuz the killer pitied me and the other Meg cuz two people D/Ced cuz she had Iri-Head.

I try to play other games but I get bored so easily. I don't know which platform it is, but it sure as hell isn't Xbox. I am not disabling cross-play cuz I don't need hour long queue times. Why is this considered a strategy. I literally get face camped, I just wanted to complete a ######### challenge and I can't do that.

It just keeps happening, over, and over, and over again. Why!? Why do people have to ruin another person's experience. Then I get stuck with potato teammates who can't run a killer for 10 seconds and let people get to second phase/die on first hook.

If you read this, thank you, probably gonna take a break from the game and cool my head a bit.

Because killers get annoying sweaty swfs all the time so they start playing like jack a$$es to even the playing field. Blame SWF not killers

  • Sounds broken for almost a year now, they get progressively worse every single update without any of the past issues being resolved. Also I'm pretty sure they "fixed" the bug where survivors make no sound in the dying state like 6 times now and it still is broken for me. Gonna be honest, all these bugs are making me reconsider buying any future chapters or rifts. And lets not even talk about how IW has been bugged for the last 3ish years.

  • I just want sounds fixed, call me ungreatful all you want but sounds legit are more broken every single update, they don't fix them at all and it only gets worse. This is unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable GAME BREAKING issues that are ignored for nearly a year.

  • This add on was beyond overpowered and these changes look good to me honestly. His Alchemists also needs to be toned down as well.

  • What about Ash is bugged right now?

  • OoO needs a total rework, change it to a completely different perk, there is no reason at all survivors should have unlimited aura reading on a killer, there is no way to balance it as it stands it needs a full on freddy style rework.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

Sure, if we can get a survivor perk to disable killer perks too /s

    Do bones.

  • I'm pretty sure most if not all of those holes have been filled.

  • @ggezbaby said:

yeah, I’m actually surprised I haven’t been seeing any posts about this? I was expecting to see everyone talking about it but nope.

there is NO heartbeat or terror radius currently. I’m still unsure if this is a bug or intended? but I find it odd no one has seemed to address it.

Welcome to what Killer's have been dealing with for literally over a year. Free IW for survivors, including those on the ground dying, my favorite is when they make no footsteps or even foliage movement sounds, or when gens don't make sounds that they are being worked on or...you know, I have made my point and I don't believe Killers and Survivor mains should be at odds on this topic, sounds are busted all around and need some serious attention on both sides.

  • Maybe because it's stupid to be able to crouch in a bush mid chase and literally turn invisible?

  • You. Don't. Know. Their. Platform. Holy Christ it is so annoying seeing all these endless posts trash talking PC players, you have no flippin idea what platform they are on so stop talking like you do.

  • This happened to me too, I'm not sure if this is something survivors are abusing or if it is just a prettygoodjobsofar. I fully expect them to fix it quickly though, I'm thinking a year and a half.

  • F13 had the potential to be a lot more fun than this game, but it is because it was vastly different from dbd in more ways than one. In fact the only thing the two games had in common was that they are Asymmetrical and that's it. F13 was more fun for me personally, but the lawsuit killed any potential that game had.

  • I think it's cooldown is way to punishing, 80s is way to long considering a lot of times you won't even get value out of it.

  • I'm excited for his perks.

  • Honestly if they ever fix trashy maps I think the only thing Myers honestly needs is not moving so slow in t1. 110 in t1 is all I would give him for a buff, but I play him a lot and I think he is pretty good when the map doesn't cuck you.

  • My personal favorite bug is the sound bug that they have "fixed" like 6 times now kekw.

How do u tunneling 3 survivors at once?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MELSMJ9AQIY7/image.png

If a group is running builds like this then you aren't going to win unless they suck at the game. Survivor is the power role and this is probably the single strongest build in the entire game and it's x4.

  • By tunneling them out of the game.

  • I have seen a consistent improvement on my end, at least for my survivor.

  • My favorite is when a survivor brings in a key and then is the same person who d/cs when he sees the mori during the offering screen.

  • I highly doubt it. "I shouldn't need to buy a K/M to compete with my PS5!"

Of course you should have to work for that volume of powerful information

Or I could just run Empathy and see everyone who is injured with an unlimited range and no work required on my part.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1602300#Comment_1602300

No, it’s a very fair downside. Being able to see the other 3 survivors at all times at any range, plus they’re all able to see you is very powerful, and allows for some significant increase in coordination and assistance

What you seem to forget is you have to work for that aura reading where as the other perks that let you see teammate auras are just given to you.

  • In my opinion this perk should last the entire match, not reset once you are hooked. That downside makes it a weaker version of other perks and honestly for no real reason.

  • But just wait, as soon as you leave I'm getting on that gen 3 ft from me! And if you come back guess where I'm going!?!

  • @RakimSockem said:

So you're complaining because the killer didn't get a 4k.

Which the killer shouldn't get because the game is balanced around 2k/2 escape........ which was the outcome of this game.

Do you have selective reading or something? The guy was playing the absolute strongest Killer in the game by a long shot and was a top tier player with her as well AND he had a 3 gen and still could barely get a 2k only when tunneling and camping. He's saying at high lvl play the game is way to survivor sided, because it is and that match in the tournament is proof of it. You realize that Nurse makes pallets completely useless right? Those survivors were playing without their primary defense and still did that well, that is the problem right there. The problem is that the killer is NOT the power role, no matter how good he is no matter what killer he plays the killer will always lose if the survivors play at the highest level.

  • Imagine still complaining about Spirit even with all the sound bugs still existing in this game. Better yet, imagine people still PLAYING Spirit with all these sound bugs in the game.
