still easy, the point is its not meant to be an easy win just because youre using a mori. getting 4 hooks and 8 downs really isnt hard within a single match, and its not just for cosmetic value if youre gaining a passive slow down that requires nothing at all. you run the offering and you could have anywhere between 2-9% or whatever which is insane on its own, sloppy is only 20% and that only affects healing. imagine having thana (up to 16%) freddy rope add-ons (6%) then a mori (up to 9%) thats 30% odd slowdown on healing and gens... thats insanely strong? only difference is you have to put the work in to get 12 hooks and not 4 and mori.
A mori IS meant to make it easier to win though, that's what you don't seem to understand about them. It is absolutely meant to give the killer an extra advantage over the survivors. Is it currently to easy? I'm not here to debate that but it absolutely is meant to make it easier for the killer. Besides, no one runs a mori for the cosmetic function of them, otherwise you would see at least a yellow mori all the time.

Idk why everyone thinks that running ds and getting unhooked means that you cannot be hurt. That doesn’t make any sense, you can still hit them. It’s not invincibility, either eat the DS or leave them. Plus you can only use it once, sometimes you don’t even get to use cuz the killer is not even in the area.
Stop thinking that you can’t do anything because someone has DS, stop having that kind of mindset, these DS threads about having invincibility is really annoying.
Or I could just climb into my safe space (a locker) and you can't even slug me! GGEZ BABY KILLER!!!

Lowest was 2% actually if you can read, and the point isnt to make something over powered. im sure youre one of those people that feel the need to mori straight off hook but its a cheap and boring play and shouldnt be in the game, offerings are only meant as a slight advantage not a 100% win chance because you can mori after first hook. afterall number can change and be looked into its about the idea.
None of what you said changes the fact that your "change" to moris is to make them cosmetic only and have no utility. You want a better idea? Keep moris the same as is but require an ebony to have you hook all survivors in the trial at least once before you can kill.

Clearly you missed the action speed reduction part. thats Passive slowdown on gens and healing which is pretty strong, and moris are strong due to them removing the need to hook everyone 3 times and also can be done straight of hook, its a cheap and boring play and does need a change, im assume you didnt really read it and just seen it as a mori nerf. but fact is keys and moris ruin the game completely
So replace the ability to remove someone from the game early with a 1% slow down? I ignored that part because of how irrelevant it was. Your idea of a mori might as well just be made Killer base kit with how pointless it would be after this "change"
-
The problem with killers like Clown isn't their power it's map size. Most maps (even after the changes) are still way to large for killers like Clown to manage. You are suppose to patrol gens and push people off them but that is impossible when it takes almost 40s to get from one gen to another. Maps need to be made much smaller across the board, large maps are not okay with current gen speed.

While everyone can agree moris are quite often really strong and this is due to the fact you can be downed after being hooked and be mori`d which there isnt always much you can do about that as a survivor so its not fair or fun. i know lots of people say make it last hook instead but then its not worth while for killer as they can miss out on info such as BBQ, Tremors, POP etc. and wouldnt be worth running and so i propose these changes.
Yellow mori - For each living survivor reduce action speeds by 0.5% , Grants the ability to kill one survivor by your own hand if they're on death hook. Once the survivor is killed reveal auras of other survivors within 40metres for 3seconds
Ivory mori - For each living survivor reduce action speeds by 0.75% , Grants the ability to kill two survivor by your own hand if they're on death hook. Once the survivor is killed reveal auras of other survivors within 40metres for 3seconds
Ebony Mori - For each living survivor reduce action speeds by 1% , Grants the ability to kill all survivor by your own hand if they're on death hook. Once the survivor is killed reveal auras of other survivors within 40metres for 3seconds
So these changes are made so survivors cant be killed early on by being mori`d straight off the hook allowing everyone to have more of a fun and fair game. the action speed reduction is so killers gain something for running these offerings, instead of killing players early often in unfun ways it passively slows the game down. finally the aura reading is there to encourage the killer to use the mori (allows us to see the animations the devs put alot of work into) without making the killer completely miss out on possible information they would normally get via picking up and hooking.
People can argue if moris are to strong or not all day long, but making them only usable on death hook makes them cosmetic only and removes any utility they had, I disagree with this change.

PH is extremely oppressive, honestly I think he should be a 110 killer with how many options he has to shut you down in chase.
-
As cool as this sounds, and it does sound like a good idea to me, it will never happen. The devs want the game to be over once the final gen is done unless you already had the survivors in a really bad spot. It's why they won't add regression to 99ing the gates to being with, they want it to be the point where the survivors win and you lose, it's also why Remember Me was nerfed to being with. There was a post somewhere down the line saying Remember Me was nerfed to give the final survivor a chance to open the gates should the killer close the hatch but that is not true they will die no matter what if you have remember me stacks. It's a nice concept but the devs don't want the endgame, in any form, to be a detriment to survivors.
-
The only change Mettle of Man needs is to remove that aura reading downside. The fact it takes so much time to get setup to just use is downside enough if you ask me.
-
No more than normal Freddy builds.
-
It's most likely going to be Huntress's add ons. She is the only killer remaining who doesn't have the standard set of add ons. I would be surprised if it is any killer other than her.

Survivors should never have to deal with doors that spawn within sight of each other. How is that survivor ever going to get out? Tbh it should always be like that
The survivor doesn't deserve to get out without some serious mind games at that point in the match. Their entire team is dead and the killer found hatch first, why should they still get a free escape that requires nothing other than "wait for the killer to check this door then leave, open the gate and leave" I'm sorry dude but if your entire team is dead and you lost the hatch game you don't deserve to escape anymore.
-
The only thing I really hate about Hatch is that it is totally random. You either get screwed or get lucky, no matter if you are killer or survivor. The concept of Hatch does need to be in the game for sure, but the fact it is totally out of the player's control is extremely annoying for both sides. Sure it feels great when you find hatch first, but it feels like crap when you don't get to it first.
And don't even get me started on the door spawns. Playing killer well, putting down the entire team, finding hatch first and closing it aaaaaaand....doors cuck you because they are almost 50s apart from one another.

i meant like stacking dying light thana with the pink and purple add on, im also not saying it unbeatable or anything, just saying its very hard to go against when you and your friends are just having fun
If all 4 of you are injured and asleep and refuse to heal up or wake up then I'm sorry but you deserve to be slowed down by all that nonsense. Sorry but if you stay like that it means you are way to alturistic and or trying to hard to slam gens as fast as possible, healing up and waking up is part of surviving Freddy, not just slamming gens as quickly as you can. If you want to say Freddy is to strong that is one thing (I disagree that he is OP) but honestly his slow down add ons are a total joke now, they weren't nerfed they were given the Legion treatment, I laugh when I see Forever Freddy because it means he is probably pretty bad if he needs that "much" slow down.
-
@GoodLookinCookin said:

im pretty sure there is more than that
You are wrong then. The green slow down add on is 4% slow down when asleep and the purple one is 2% per sleeing survivor.
-
@GoodLookinCookin said:
Still kinda think Forever Freddy is a little too strong, just change the addons so they dont go so well with dying light thana which those two perks alone can get up to 25% penalty pretty quickly.
Is this a joke? If he has literally every single person asleep and his best slow down add ons it's only a 12% slow down. You realize that is weaker than a Prove Thyself right? This is EVERYONE being asleep btw, every person awake it's 2% weaker, so you can bet it's likely only going to ever be a 6% slow down at any given time from his add ons. Explain to me how you think a 6-12% slow down needs a nerf?
-
I wish prestiging didn't remove all of your add ons and stuff, the grind reset is totally not worth it imo.
-
I just hope this fixes grabs a little bit, they have been broken for so long now.

Yep, I totally only play one side. Funny how I get accused of being a killer main in one topic, and a survivor main in the next! I guess I just can't make up my mind.
They're adding an early game collapse to give the killer early game pressure, which they currently don't have. But the fact is, the game isn't over just because 3 gens pop. I've literally had games where 4 gens pop before I get my first hook, and still get a 3K. That's without camping, without tunneling, without NoED and in High Ranks. Also, it's very rare that 3 gens pop in ONE minute, given that gens take 80 seconds to pop with one person on each generator unless you have toolboxes. Which don't cut that much time off gens! It's only stressful if you let it be stressful. Learn that 3 gens popping isn't the end of the world, and that you can still gain pressure. Every time I hear a Killer say "I can't stop these gens from popping!" all I can think to myself is "You're not supposed to!" Gens are going to pop. Very rarely will you finish a game with less than 3 gens popping. And you shouldn't! A game where less than 3 gens pop would be incredibly dull and boring.
Anyone can M1 to finish gens quickly and go down the moment they are in a chase, but you put even 2 decent survivors on a team that spreads out to do gens and it's a lose unless you are play an extremely strong killer capable of snowballing. I have had Oni games where 3 gens are gone in less than a minute (BNPs) and still managed to win, by slugging every single one of them the moment I got my power. It was a black pip for me and a depip for everyone else, I'm sure they had a ton of fun just like I did.
I'm sorry dude, I really don't mean to say this disrespectfully, but anyone who thinks 3 gens popping in the first minute of the game is okay and balanced has no idea what they are talking about. I play more survivor than killer and I swf all the time, gen speed is stupid and way to easy. My team slams out 3 gens in the first minute then we go out of our way to fool around and goof off because the Killer no longer has any chance to stop us.
-
Best part is, she wasn't even the one to get the two kills. It was a Freddy one match and a Huntress another, both tunneled hard core since we didn't bring any obsession perks.

I hate how people say "SWF is fair and balanced" it really isn't. Especially if it's SWAT SWF. They are toxic as hell, also that whole Feng build, I don't run all the time, I usually play Nea who had Adrenaline, Decisive, Urban and I forget the fourth perk. Usually I play Feng build when someone says survivors are underpowered and I am SWF with them, or I have a challenge to escape.
But yeah, Spirit is easily counterable if you do it right, and you know her and her ability correctly. They say she is overpowered but she is one of the hardest Killers to learn
SWF is easily the strongest anything in this game by a long shot. My team and I played a 4 man swf with the build I told you earlier for 6 hours and in that entire time we only had two people die between all of our matches. Want to take a guess which Killer we ended up facing the most?

What if I told you that your goal wasn't to stop them from completing 3 gens?
Having only 2 gens left after the first MINUTE of the game is extremely stressful and unfun even when you win, it's a problem and even the devs know it because they are adding some new mechanic to slow down the early game. Now throw on a map like Ormond and tell me that 3 gens in the first minute is balanced, honestly I get the impression you only play one side in this game because even my SWF buddies think gen speed is way to forgiving and easy.

I run a build on my Feng to prove Survivors have it easy, Decisive, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time, and Tenacity. Yet people still say Survivor is underpowered, I have won 556 games out of the 600+ games I've played, so you tell me who has it easy
I win most of my solo que games as well, when I SWF that win rate is easily 98%. I think our favorite build is FtP + Soul Guard x4, it's extremely toxic if I'm being totally honest.
-
@DerFan said:
your first chase is important. once you have 1 surv on a hook, the gen speed will be fine. but it hass to be within the first 60 seconds, so you can interrupt at least one of the three gens that are going to pop.
That first 60s is enough time for them to finish 3 gens, sorry fam but gen speed is NOT fine, at least not in the early game.
-
The people who cry about Spirit are the ones who like to bring 4 second chance perks then get upset because Spirit dunks on the small PP build. They are so use to countering 95% of the Killer cast they complain when they find that 5%. I for one think Spirit is fine and easy enough to outplay, sometimes you win sometimes you lose but it's that way with any Killer who knows what they are doing.
-
I never use them, they are trash.

I've been playing killer for about two years, I've got experience using every killer pretty extensively and I'm moderately skilled, I suppose. Thing is, I have always struggled playing Spirit. Her strategy seems like it should be so simple but I find managing her power to "trick" or "mind-game" players just doesn't work for me, or at least not in my favor.
So, I'm hoping an experienced player can let me in to what you're mindset and strategy is while playing The Spirit.
What makes her so good is the fact she requires you to change your play style and have a build different from your typical meta nonsense. People don't like switching off their crutch perks because they counter 95% of the killer cast so when they meet the killer who is part of that 5% they scream OP OP, nerf her. She is the gold staple of what a Killer should be: Strong, unpredictable and capable of punishing aggressive play.

Requires a bit too much game sense to constantly find stealthy survivors for my liking if you run 0 tracking perks and stack 4 chase perks but hey whatever works for you.
I like Monitor & Abuse (Considering it as almost core even if you run Fragrant Tuft just so you can combo Infectious Fright with it), Brutal Strength, Pop Goes the Weasel, BBQ and Chili is pretty standard. Can replace Brutal Strength for Enduring by preference but I sometimes just change to another tracking perk like Whispers if I see an Adam and 3 Blendettes in lobby. Contrary to popular belief - stalking isn't some sort of reveal all for finding Immerse survivors
Fair, I do have pretty good game sense as I never have trouble finding people.
-
Not everyone has a 2080TI.
-
But if they don't nerf her then I might have to change my build/playstyle instead of just running typical meta perks and dry humping the funbus/killer shack.
-
Oni during his power and Myers during T3 scare me more than any other killer in the game. They have that overwhelming presence feeling to them that makes you feel powerless to stop them and that it is certain death if they find you. Sure Nurse is stronger than both of them, but she doesn't have that "feel" of an unstoppable monster. That's just my opinion though.
-
She only needs add on reworks and not being able to throw semi trucks at you. That being said I highly doubt she would only get an add on rework, they will almost certainly do something to her base kit.
-
I for one love the "fck your pallet/window" build. Brutal + Enduring + Spirit Fury + Babooz. I run the green bow and judith's memorial add ons and oh boy you are scary to face. You might get gen rushed every once in a while if the map is super trashy (looking at you Ormond) but most of the time it's actually a really strong build. Rank 1 both sides btw, it's a powerful build not a meme build despite it's looks.
-
The only "nerf" Bubba may need (I say may because I'm not even sure he does) is increase the amount of time it takes him to chainsaw a pallet, somewhere along the lines of what it is for Oni. He might not even need this, but if he does need a nerf this is the only thing he would need.
-
When server validations go up if the survivor is laggy they have the advantage. I can't tell you how many shots I landed as Slinger, or hatchets as Huntress that just "poofed" out of existence because the dude I aimed at was from China and had a ping of over 250.
-
I play both 50/50 at rank one, solo que and swfs and I think survivor is much easier than Killer, at least at the higher ranks.
-
Hatch needs a complete rework, the entire mechanic is trash.
-
No it wouldn't, it would just remove her ability to mind game with her power completely. There is a reason that you have no indication if she is phasing or not. Just stop being foolish enough to run into the killer, you would think that is basic but apparently it's not.
-
I play at rank 1 and had 7 Spirit games in the span of about 3 hours. We escaped every single one of them except one person died ONCE. And yes all but one were using Stridor and all of them red ranks (most rank 1, well rank 2 after the match.)
-
Legion, he is such a boring killer. Please give him the Freddy treatment, because he is such a boring killer to vs, and extremely weak to top it off.
-
Imagine needing this many second chances in order to escape. If someone needs this kind of combo perhaps they should consider deranking to their appropriate rank, like green or yellow. Real men run the vault build, little boys run the small PP build.
