Hmm, this seems more like Doc. Jkyell and Mr. Hyde right?

"There are two reasons to use a VPN, the first and most often is because it allows you to have a smoother and often faster connection."
Faster... lmao. You clearly have no clue what VPN is and how it works.
It's my career field but okay friend, tell me how it works from your with all of your education and experience.

I not agree about easier hits. I not using vpn but I live far from server so I have ping 100+. So yes, sometimes game register hits when survivor managed to hide behind corner. But from killer's perspective it is absolutely normal hit. Not harder, not easier. It is harder for survivor to dodge this hits, maybe. But it doesn't mean easier hits for killers.
I'm just answering the OP's question, I said nothing about your reasoning for using a VPN (if you use one.)
-
Something people need to really keep in mind is that you have no idea if someone is playing on PC or not, you only know if they are a different platform than yourself so keep that in mind when you say silly things like "lulz I dunked on PC killers all night!" For all you know you were dunking on Switch killers all night. Idk how it is on console, but an actual good rank 1 killer is something to be scared off no matter what killer they are playing, because you will struggle all game even if you do escape. TLDR: Keep the arrogance down, you have no idea what platform they are playing on.
-
There are two reasons to use a VPN, the first and most often is because it allows you to have a smoother and often faster connection. The best way to think of it is a traffic shortcut, you could take the main highway or you could take this back road that you know about that cuts off 10min from your drive. The second reason is to ping into a server you otherwise wouldn't access normally, such as someone from China pinging into the west coast US. Normally with how the game works you can't ping into a server like this but a VPN is capable of tricking the server into thinking you are closer than you are by "changing" the IP address that the server sees. This is an extremely basic explanation from a tech perspective but that is the basic jist of what is happening. In short, the worse your connection as killer the easier it is to get hits you really shouldn't be getting, and that is the primary reason people VPN into servers they really have no business playing on, other people however use it to improve their connection to the server they always play on anyway, which is a good thing for everyone involved.

Against all the other topic's Crossplay is so much fun for me on Survivor side(I try Killer later).
I was even able to play good against PC NURSE on rank 5!!! Why I think it was a PC Nurse? Bc her camera movement was way to quick for Console. I really like to get harder matches as Survivor it feels challenging to play against Crossplay Killer.
Also the old Matchmaking seems fairer for me right now. I got only people in my rank color or 1 behind.
I hope I can catch up as Killer with you PC gamer's xD
The feeling of overcoming a difficult challenge is one of the best feelings in the world, I understand you completely as I find it a lot of fun to be pushed to that next level as well.
-
This would be nice if they did add it yes, people could talk in post chat instead of sending one another messages over their respected platform service.
-
It is not OP without extra hatchets, it is quite balanced honestly. I really hope the nerf it ends up getting just makes it to where you have 1 hatchet when running iri head no matter what secondary add on you use.
-
I was so hoping you would get that my dude. It's a L4D reference. I'm sure you can figure out from where if you ever played it :)
-
Isn't the entire point of cross-play to make ques better and for us to all play this game and have fun? I thought DbD wasn't a competitive game and as such why are people super worried about which platform has advantages over others. I should remind everyone that this is in fact rank reset and every match is a cluster fck during reset, give in a few days and let ranks level out. Now I will say the FPS issue for console does need to be addressed, performance should never be a factor as an advantage or disadvantage.
-
Okay, bye.

to all you PC players, doesn’t it get boring going against Nurses, Spirits, and huntresses constantly? Ever since cross-play that’s all I’ve been going against. Oh and yeah they’re sweaty... like coming out of a steam room sweaty.
Mmmmm I loooooooove steam. <3

I enjoy the new crossplay feature, I think it was a great addition to the game and all these people opting out will start to feel the que times soon enough. Remember folks, this is literally day 1 of this feature.

This is aimed towards the ones with exhaustion hatches, who were trying to make the matchs miserable. But yeah, I've goone against a lot of them because of her tome and challenges a couple of months back.
I see now everything you said makes sense. A good Huntress doesn't use her bs add ons like the exhaustion and such, they only ever use stuff that lets them throw more or throw faster that's it. You will know it friend, when you do see one of them you will know because you feel like they never miss and or are throwing fridges at you.

I've gone against some of them on PC before, that's how I know they're on PC.
Besides, rank reset just happened the same time this stuff was turned on. A mediocre PC player won't be any different than a mediocre console player. The only time you will notice a large difference is at high level play, which, judging by your original post, you are not at yet (at least not since cross-play has been turned on.)
-
I experienced this before, more than likely you were pinged into a different server than you are normally use to, this could be due to many reasons but I doubt it is the servers crapping out, more than likely they reached their capacity limit and you were directed to the next closest one in order to keep your que time down.

@helix43 said:
To the PC killers, if you're going to play huntress to try and make console survivors lives miserable, please have the skills to back it up. A key board mouse can only do so much.
Sincerely,
A survivor who has gone against 7 pc huntresses back to back with terrible aim.
There is no way for you to know if that was a PC player or a console different from yours. Please be a bit more careful before you post aggressive comments like this as it is very likely you have yet to even find a PC huntress.

With the arrival of cross play, all the crazy pc nurses, pc spirits and a bunch of other killers that are better on pc now have their chance to show toxic console survivors the real world. So PC players, humble these hyper toxic console survivors.
Don't worry my friend, I got your back. Just had a game full red rank 4 man swf with Object (all console players) and the full meta perk setup with 3 flashlights vs my Deathslinger and oh boy it was fun, they very obviously had no idea how to deal with a Slinger who could actually aim. Needless to say it was a 4k.
-
I have been playing on PC for years and I honestly rarely vs Spirit/Billy/Nurse. Tbh maybe it's just the server area you normally play on, because on the west coast (USA) I actually get a pretty large variety of killers.

My comment got removed as well for pointing out that DBD is already Diverse, if not more so than most other games with half the cast being POC. But defending BHVR for being Diverse is bad, and calling out the OP for being provocative is bad?
Defending BHVR and pointing out that the games cast is already diverse is also apparently "Discrimination"....
Anything that even hints that something is racist towards white people is removed, that isn't the correct narrative and you aren't allowed to talk about that.

how did you get the cage on your profile?
I told a guy that saying "this game has to many white people" is a racist thing to say, so they gave me some kind of semi-ban.

Cross play between Consoles and PC is live now?

Some maps have areas where you can only get to a single hook. I have had numerous games where people would go into a map corner (Such as Ormond) and I would sacrifice said player, after that anytime I had someone in a chase they would run to that corner and I was completely unable to hook them. One hook gone and that area becomes completely safe. While there are other more pressing issues in the game this is something that should be looked into.

Well, like I said, if SWFs aren't such an issue, it wouldn't hurt to let everybody know they are going against SWF.
And if everybody is going to dodge SWF, then SWF is an issue that needs to be addressed.
Bruh you need to calm down with all that logic and critical thinking, it's going to offend someone.

@Koukdw said:
hook them. That's this easy
Imagine if he had a perk that stopped me from doing that by giving him a free escape. Darn guess I should of just let him alone for a full 60s so he could spend all that time fixing a gen that takes 80s.
-
You're right, this opinion is unpopular which is to say very few if anyone shares it with you.
-
Oni during his power and Mikey in general are very scary if you ask me.
-
This bait is terrible.
-
I don't expect him to get fixed honestly and you should just get use to his bugs.
-
Anything that gives you an second chance after YOU messed up is a crutch. You messed up and yet were not punished, that is a crutch.
-
This entire thread just screams: "I was absolutely stomped into the ground by a killer who slugged (most likely Billy, Nurse or Oni) and I don't like that they can snowball off my overly altruistic team, please nerf so I can bully more killers without having to switch out my crutch second chance perks!" That's what I got from this thread.
-
This game is not balanced for a system like this, this is a bad idea.
-
Spirit is fine, she is strong but not unbeatable. Killers should make you struggle to escape, besides I for one don't find her unfun to vs.
-
My favorite perk is pop, because I enjoy having a game that lasts longer than 4min. In all seriousness though I think my favorite perk is repressed alliance, it's just fun to block a gen when you know the killer is going to regress it by a large amount (pop or ruin.)
-
Oni and Kate. Oni because he is just darn cool and fun to play with a bad a$$ back story. Kate because she is best girl and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.
-
You didn't pay for my game so piss off with trying to tell me how to play. I play to win, I have fun when I win so I do what it takes to win, which is forcing people like you to make bad decisions. You wanna wait until the hooked guy is 10s away from second state so you can finish that gen? No problem, I'm gonna go back to the hook and make sure he goes second state before I let you unhook him, then I'm going to make you trade so I get YOU on the hook too, hope that gen was worth it because I just got 3 hooks worth of value out of it.
-
I never use totems anymore because the spawn system for them is utter trash. You either get lucky or you get scr3wed over, the former far more often.
-
Fair or not is up for debate but my issue with it is that it makes the EGC completely pointless, which is survivors are on a time limit to LEAVE. I think the EGC should just start the moment the final gen is finished, they can enhance the amount of time it takes for the EGC to end the game if they think 2min isn't fair but I think it should start as soon as the gens are done.
-
You know, I honestly don't remember the last time a Spirit just stomped me into the ground and I had absolutely no control over the chase. People who complain about Spirit are just bad at mind gaming her plain and simple. They want to know when she is using her power but fail to realize that getting that feedback makes her power useless outside of gaining mobility, these same people also fail to realize you can HEAR HER FOOTSTEPS. I use this against a Spirit all the time also the number one rule of thumb is W away, you never walk back to a Spirit's husk that just makes you a fool and you deserve to get hit. Gitgud, seriously.
-
No he isn't. He has better snowball potential when his power is up but he beats every killer in that aspect. Billy has his power all the time and overall in the same bracket as Oni if you ask me. I think both killers are A tier easily and each has their own strengths and weaknesses.
-
He needs to break pallets with his chainsaw slower now, it's to oppressive if he is using good add ons and or bamboozle.
-
I personally think a green mori is fair. I have never been in a match where I found a green mori to be unfair. It can be a huge game changer sure, but it isn't BS like an ebony is. Keys on the other hand, fck those man they are never fair at any point, outside of the green ones.

Imo her exhaustion add-ons are fine, 50/50 the survivors won't always be running exhaustion perks.
I don't mean to sound rude, but I'm a killer main not a survivor main and I think a 90s exhaustion is beyond overpowered for a ranged attack, also I play rank 1 for both roles and it isn't a 50/50 people don't run those perks, it's a 98/2 that they run them.
-
@Elena said:
Huntress main here, she's certainly balanced without the Iridescent Heads and Infantry Belt.
Her ranged ability is super deadly when played correctly with precision, her slow movement speed and 48m lullaby compensate for this. She's deadly strong, but counterable.
Her exhaustion add ons need to be reworked, not just her iri head.
-
Give it a day or two, I'm sure if they were fixed they will break again real soon.
-
They need to lock survivors out of changing their character and their perks in the lobby. This would make it fair considering that bs program that lets you see the killer before the game starts.
-
They need to either change the gen aura color or the survivor aura color, it is extremely hard now, if not out right impossible to tell if a survivor is on a gen with aura reading now, these is even more frustrating with perks like OoO (which shouldn't even exist tbh.)
-
In other news: Water is wet!

Nothing to do with being survivor sided at all!
It's locked in because when you search for a match that's when the matchmaking happens, so if you queue with your strongest killer for example and then decide to change to another killer whilst in the lobby you are going to struggle...that would also be abused the other way around - you'd queue on your weaker killer and be matched with survivors of that skill level, then switch up to one of your stronger killers in the lobby.
The difference for survivors that there's no difference between characters in the same way there is for killers.
The problem with this is that there is a third party application you can use as a survivor to SEE WHAT THE KILLER IS and put on a full set of counter perks. You guys need to lock survivors and their perks as well, since killers no longer have the option to last second switch to throw off that application and you guys sure as heck haven't fixed it being a problem yet.

I don't always complain about how a killer is OP but when I do it's a mid tier killer. KEKW
