You can "win" the game even if you dont get kills IMO. Bloodpoints are often a good indicator of how well you played.
-
Freddy is fun to play but definetly the most annoying killer to play against
-
Its good, the map is really refreshing, nice to get a map where the sun is shining
-
I understand what you're saying, but its just a game, absolutely dont be scared to lose, games are meant to be played for fun

Why do the games where they get gen rushed get like 30 posts about them and survivors get called op but all the games where they 4k in like 3 minutes never get mentioned
Because getting gen rushed fast is in the game, the game allows it, the survivors are doing their best at objectives and its possible to do that ridiculously fast. When killers ######### obliterate a group of survivors however, that's always the fault of the survivors themselves, the survivors should have played better.

Seems like he might be, in my opinion. He has so many perks:
Static Blast
Shock Therapy that prevent you form triggering pallets, rescuing, etc.
Hallucinations that reveal your general location
Skill check difficulty when you're in madness
Forced to "snap out of it", big time waster.
Am I missing anythig?
Definetly not. Nurse is still the strongest.

Billy 100%. He can be looped, there is a massive difference between bad and good Billies, skilled killers can make him pretty tough to face.

Leatherface, Nurse when Im doing good, Billy maybe

I just wanna play nurse lol
Its definetly possible on console, the only things that limit Nurse on console are the framerate and the sensitivity, but its definetly possible. What helped me with Nurse is play aggressive as ######### and dont be scared to waste time if you're missing some swings
-
No, what they need to do is make the game run 60fps consistently on consoles

If that's how it is for you then you must be bad. I've seen plenty of vids at this stage to see snipes xD but oh well. It's a shame it's either your killer main or survivor main. Why cant people be intelligent main and think about both points of view. Literally just had a two Billy that got two free kills cause he camped and he was terrible with a chainsaw. Weren't even duping it, he just got behind our ass and sawed. I played a game with no perks or addons and got 3 and I dont even play him. Billy op xD end of.
Leatherface is the most OP killer if you camp with him, that doesnt make him a OP killer though. "Snipes" are you talking about curving in loops or just sniping with a long chainsaw, because both of those moves are counterable. Good Billies are tough to face though, hence their curving skills

Long text alert!!!
Billy is op. Consider this, insta downs with relatively quick recovery if missed so even on tight corners, he can still just gain alot of ground to basic attack, seeing as how he's one of the fastest killers without chainsawing. Should even be fine getting directly behind you for an easy chainsaw. This can be used on any map. He has ultimate map pressure. Punish loops. And unless you're a good enough survivor, it's difficult to avoid chainsaw if the Billy is good.
Any character that can potentially snowball a game is op. Right now, its Oni, Billy, Nurse, and possibly Spirit but that's it. Huntress only with 3 instadown hatchets.
Literally got snowballed getting only one gen done while I'm purple. Three teammates were a mixture of 2 reds and a green. Got a 14 Billy that had all game achievements (clearly just de ranked or smurfed), anyways, got snowballed and was super toxic bragging gg ez 4k. Never made a mistake, slugged everyone and even had Iron Grasp and agitation so you couldn't even outplay hook distances.
Every killer can get 1-2 free kills if they camp, tunnel. Billy can most times just get 3-4 because of his instadowns.
Lastly, end game collapse vs Billy= you're screwed. No point no matter what the distance. He can just sonic over before you get a light up. That's why people nowadays look for keys in chests when they couldn't find the hatch. Collapse was good idea, poorly designed.
So yes, Billy is OP as hell and needs a nerf soon. They did it to Nurse and Spirit although they are still really strong, they just require more effort and skill to play, still capable of very good games.
If you think Billy is op, you're delusional... He can be looped, and needs to get close in order to hit a chainsaw

Sounds have been ######### for months, they dont care.

I'd definetly buy Bubba cosmetics if there was some added to the game

I talked about this on another thread, but SWF is antithetical to what Dead by Daylight was originally designed to be. In the beginning, it was an asymmetrical atmospheric horror game. The point of the game was that the survivors were isolated and needed to learn to work together in order to survive the killer. It was fun and thrilling. It got your heart racing. And even when you lost, you had an incredible time filled with the occasional jump scare and plenty to talk about in the end game lobby because you couldn't communicate during the trial!
But then survivors asked for SWF. They wanted to play with their friends! Honestly, that by itself is not an issue. I would love to be running through the trial, helplessly searching for my friend, and then find them and work with them to escape. It's an amazing thrill to know your friend is out there somewhere on the map, but not know precisely where they are or what they're doing, only for you to suddenly stumble across them!
And then Discord happened. With SWF came voice chat, and that destroyed anything atmospheric or horrific about Dead by Daylight. Suddenly, friends could play together and communicate the entire time. It destroyed any sense of isolation or horror. SWF groups had the advantages of Bond, Empathy, and Deja Vu without needing to use up their perk slots. The killer couldn't sneak up on them because their teammates would always be communicating the killer's position.
The game stopped being an asymmetrical atmospheric horror game, and it became a team-based skill check and press 'W' simulator. There was no more thrill. No more horror. No more scares or surprises. Not if you wanted to play with friends.
And it's a real shame. So many players - SO MANY - play SWF these days. Solo survivor is still as fun as it ever was. Sure, the gens go by a bit quick, and I don't feel as pressured as I used to when Hex:Ruin would pop up on my screen, but it's fun. But SWF has destroyed the atmosphere and balance. SWF teams aren't afraid of the killer. When a killer plays against SWF, they are no longer the power role. The rules of the game change, and there's nothing to be afraid of except your own mistakes. The killer isn't a threat.
I like SWF in theory. I think there are tons of fun stories to be had about SWF off of voice chat. Stumbling blindly through the trial and searching for your friend. Finding them and conquering the gens together.
Now, SWF is just another game mode for team fps players.
Horror game... Maybe meant to be, but a game like this will never be actually scary

Cross play would be amazing. Hackers are hackers. On every console.
Hackers dont exist on Ps4 and Xbox one. The hackers in dbd are PC players.

what i noticed is, that almost only killer mains are lurking around in this forum. calling for survivor nerfs all the time. they dont need nerfs! i see plenty of killers getting 4k, cause they have skill. just adapt and l2p.
and don't write comments starting with "i'm a survivor main...." cause i know you are not a survivor main.
How about those games where it takes 3 minutes for 4 gens to pop?

The framerate is definetly the biggest issue for me when playing on ps4. Sometimes its good, most of the time its not

Dedicated servers.
Killer powers need server confirmation to use. This adds a delay to using them. Billy, Huntress, Nurse, Demogorgon, ANY Killer that can flutter or partially charge their power has a delay now based on your ping. Making it much harder to get exact charge times to muscle memory as if you ping changes, your muscle memory is worthless.
Shape and Ghostface get it the worst. They can simply fail to stalk someone right in front of them if the server doesn't allow them. Freddy has issues when snares taking longer than normal to activate. Hag and Trapper need to hold M2 a touch longer in order to finish their traps or cancel them. Clown's bottles feels like jank.
But yeah. All of this is due to dedicated servers needing to confirm the Killer using his power and the Killer needing to wait for that confirmation before being allowed to use their powers.
Thats awful. Its weird because the animation starts almost normally, after that it takes like a second for the charging bar to even start

Quantify massive
Maybe around 1 second, which is definetly enough to make the chainsaw useless when trying to curve in loops

The sounds have been ######### for months

Look at the killer often, but make sure you also know where you're running so you wont run into things. When you get that dialed in you'll get better

we all know how dbd is an unbalanced mess, especially in terms of map and level design. Adding ANOTHER variable into the maps will probably make it just even more complicated and even more an unbalanced mess.
As cool as it sounds, I'm actually not looking forward for this and I'm afraid this will make dbd complete bullshit.
No matter what the devs do there will always be someone complaining
-
2.5 seconds? Really? Well thats never making it to the final release. However one of the Pigs perks got a buff, dont remember the name of it, it will show survivors auras near hooks if you are carrying a survivor

Fym? Self care isnt a bad perk. If someone else heals you, its 16 seconds, self care is 32. So if you're using more than 16 seconds to find a person, its slower than self care.

Maybe they just hacked the PS4 version. High chance the legacy skin files are still in the game.
You cant hack anything with dbd on console. Hackers are really rarely countered in current gen console games anyways, they're well protected
-
I always like to have a different FOV, it should be adjustable for killer, instead of a perk
-
@Hoodied said:
This perk is completely fine and punishes survivors for ignoring totems. You failed to cleanse the totems, you pay the price.
This perk isn’t even good to begin with either, as it can be taken out before ever being put into use, while other perks in the hex category are far better and Devour Hope literally gives out a greater reward. So asking for this perk to nerfed is gonna be like Freddy 1.0 all over again to be nerfed, asking for someone who wasn’t even op to begin with to be nerfed because you want an easier game.
If you throw out the stupid “ThIs pErK iS oNlY cOuNtEReD eAsIlY bY sWf”, then use small game or detectives hunch, as those 2 perks, and even detectives, counters every hex perk in the game pretty much.
The devs have listened to useless complaints before, so...
-
Im just here to say that self care isnt a bad perk at all...

No ED doesn't have that much counter-play because of the random nature of the totem spawns. There might be 20+ possible totem spawns on the map, some are easy, some are hard, some are common, others more rare.
Nancy was my first survivor I leveled up and I've always run Inner Strength. Trust me I'm a good totem hunter, but in my almost 200 hours played I don't even think I've seen all the totem spawns in game yet. I know where to look and usually cleanse two to three totems per match, but every once and awhile I get a game where I can't even find one for the life of me because teammates cleanse the easy ones and there's like 1 or 2 super hard ones left. (Lerys, Hawkins and the Game are a nightmare sometimes).
You really shouldn't expect survivors to know the totem spawns on every map, every time. It's not realistic and it's not intuitive. Also, it always has a randomness factor, because you could get an easy map with easy spawns or a hard map with hard spawns. And the killer has no control over what they get.
No, you're wrong, NOED has counters, and either takes a little bit of the time of survivors to dedicate themselves to something else than gens, or make them suffer for it.

True. Back in 2019, before summer rhey actually announced something like "road to 60fps on consoles". It was on the "news" part in the menu. Months later not a word was heard about it anymore, and the framerate is still bad.

Keys and Moris need to be reworked, I agree.

Rank reset is awful and I don’t understand why they do it at all. Sticking a bunch of red rank survivors into green and marching them with brown and yellow rank killers isn’t any fun when the day before they were getting competitive matches. It takes a week or two for everyone to settle back in.
I mean I get why red ranks think it’s great you get to beat up on worse players and have easy games for a while. That’s all it is.
Lower rank games arent as sweaty and you can just mess around more, thats why I find them more entertaining

Why do people think clown is bad? He is add-on relient sure, but with a proper build and some decent add-ons he is an absolute monster in the chase.
It's probably because people follow the stupid builds streamers like otz put out for him, with devour hope and haunted grounds and all that other RNG nonsense; instead of using their brain and creating one for themselves.
I usually do corrupt + bamboozle + brutal + pop goes. Bamboozle and brutal makes him terrifying to be chased by, corrupt for an early game slowdown, and pop goes for a mid-game slowdown.
There is literally nothing you can do against a bleach clown with bamboozle except feed him pallets non-stop, and with brutal you will cut through them like nothing.
"Monster in a chase" :D Not really.

Not everyone is a potato and go down instantly

DS is not an issue either. Well put, friend.
60 seconds of being untouched... Can be really painful for the killer, especially against a sweaty META swf

Its not fun to always use meta/the strongest perks, on both sides killer and survivor
-
Its better....for the survivors. I feel like they should add another necessary objective for the survivors, like gathering parts for gens. Would slow the game down and it wouldnt be a boring change at all
