Self Care. If I get unlucky in the bloodweb I'll play without it on that survivor but a lot of the time I'll toss it on. I play too recklessly nowadays to be repairing a generator in a dead zone while injured. Give me the blood laced Sprint Burst and lets go ya big ugly leper. Yee haw.
-
Killer has never been the power role. Once survivors figured out their hitboxes were smaller and they could loop around objects on the map it was game over. You either had to put a trap down, sneak up on them, or run at them real fast with a chainsaw. No Entity blocking vaults, and double pallets were everywhere.
I like that they fidget with stuff, but the more I think about it, the moment something becomes really effective everyone is going to use it regardless of how many other options there are.
-
Bro tier energy. I kneel.
-
Trapper lore, but I'm a Trapper main so I'm kind of biased. The Tome made it better but I really like the theme of the Trapper.
-
That zombie was spider man in a previous life and just sticks to the wall unable to remember who he was. Then you come barreling out of a second story hole in the wall and his heroic instincts stick in, but he is also appalled at your complete disregard for your safety so those emotions mix together and he both reaches out to save you yet backhands you for doing something so dangerous.
This is the result. Dead by Daylight is a deep game. Very deep.
-
It's kind of a waste to see it go but I never got excited to play on the map.
-
🤔I didn't get a request. My profile has a picture of Sachi on it. No big deal though. <3
Edit: Just got the 4 stun/blinds in one match. We can still play anytime you want though.

Np :D if you need help ill join ya.
I'll play for a little bit. I'm on the higher end of the MMR scale.
I'm don't really care if I get the challenge today or not, but todays my only real time off for gaming so I'm gonna play for a few hours.

If you really wanna throw the game for it, blind the killer when he's hooking someone, guarnateed blind lol. like literally when he's putting them on the hook.
You know I've never really thought about doing that. Thanks hero!

Drop strong pallets and when they break them bilnd.
Yes, I know. I ran into 2 lightborns, a Twins player that chased with Victor and a Leatherface with Franklins today. I have hundreds of flashlights and I know I'll get it eventually if I try but I'm not really impressed at the moment.
Edit: I usually escape so my MMR isn't lowering. Pain.
-
Oh no not my MMR.
I am a bit tilted since I'm trying to do the stun/blind a killer 4 times in one match. High MMR killers don't make setting those things up easy, let alone 4 times in one match.
-
Take self care. If you're tanking enough hits or run into Franklin's it'll cripple your build. Self Care also makes your medkit last longer and you don't get stuck in a situation where you're half healed.
-
Spirit used to do what Pinhead does now.
-
I just chill and play killer/survivor on rotation (I have all of them) and just play with whatever perks they get in the bloodweb. I'm not really concerned with meta gameplay.
The only time I really sweat is if I'm trying to do something specific for a rift challenge, other than that I'm just trying to either play M1 Generator simulator or M1 backscratcher.
-
Considering the stereotype Meg has, do we really want her around blight?
-
I'm usually the one downed by Devour Hope because I don't care or not if I get spotted which generally means I get spotted a lot.
I usually just shrug and go 'oh okay'.
If I'm not the lucky survivor that goes down I usually just shift into being a gen jockey since the natural instinct people have is to go on a totem hunt and I know the killer is going to step away from the hook and defend his totem so...gen jockey.
Worst case scenario I get a unique death animation. I don't really mind it. I'm not gonna go out of my way to see the mori animation but if it happens, it happens.
-
I had one a few days ago in my group that bullied a poor console nurse. We just genrushed and got out.
Though it was kind of funny to see a huge flashlight beam from across the map, it's up to this company to win the arms race.
-
I'll slug them once if they're having a bad game. I'm usually miles from the hook so if it happens they have a bad team.
-
A quick note: If the killer knocks the item out of your hand with Franklin's Demise or you drop your item somewhere in the trial you can still lose the item. You only keep your item if you're holding it when you die.
-
Not being mean but I think it's a gambit to get killers away from the hook. It's why borrowed time and decisive are so effective. Most killers, no matter how big you make the map, cannot or do not have the confidence to go out and find other survivors while one is hooked.
They want to make killers confident enough to go out into the world, and prevent survivors from playing M1 simulator on generators while one runs the killer for 5 gens. So far I think MMR isn't doing so hot but we'll see how it goes.

Situational, because totems are so difficult to find?
Bad survivors rush themselves into a nasty 3 gen? Just light up a survivor hex on the cleared side of the map! The killer can't leave to snuff it out and even if they do you can just put it back. Killer can't commit to a chase without losing the last gen and can't build any pressure by injuring multiple survivors.
Oh and survivors see the aura just in case you thought of actually requiring effort to get value from a broken perk.
That does sound kind of nice. My thing is these boons have to be powerful because otherwise, why run it? The boon totem perks are competing against a metric ton of competition for perk space.
It shouldn't be that big of a deal if Meg breaks the totem you were going to use for a boon though. If someone's devoted to boon totems they're going to run Small Game, Shadowstep and Heal Boon. I doubt people are going to do that.
Edit: The killer is going to figure out where everyone keeps running to and chase down the survivors past a point.
-
Nooooooo I have to be able to use my incredibly situation specific self care!
-
Last time that happened I was playing Hillbilly and gave that chest guardian a taste of his own medicine.
-
Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog would be okay.
-
I'd have Dead Hard stun the killer instead of making the survivor invincible. Think about it, you're shoving the killer and avoiding a blow, right? Moving past the slasher. A lot of people, myself included, just use Dead Hard for distance or cheeky plays. Push the killer that's getting ready to attack you for 2 seconds, become exhausted, and try to get to a pallet in time.
It would open up Dead Hard rescues for survivors being carried, sure, but you could always just make it so the survivor doesn't wiggle off from a Dead Hard stun. I dunno. Just a thought.
-
Not serious: We know how survivors like to play around. I know I'm going to see a survivor lighting a boon totem while another survivor crouches with their butt to the totem and makes it look like their fart activated the boon totem. It's enough to make me run 3 hex perks and haunted grounds.
Serious: You figure it has to be map wide and the killer doesn't bust the totem with his foot, he only dispels the blue aura, right? So it doesn't cost a totem. (Kind of makes me wonder how NOED will react to a boon totem if the boon totem is the only one up. Will it eat the boon totem?)
I really like the idea of a map wide Hope effect or borrowed time effect. It has to be something noticeable or survivors won't run the perk unless they're doing memes.
-
Just kind of a heads up for people that don't know, high level killers look at the horizon on outdoor maps for crows flying up/returning to land to know if a survivor is there or have been there. Calm Spirit can shake a killer off your trail before you even realize he would have seen your crow.
Looking for crows flying up and flashing gold before they vanish is one of the ways I find survivors quickly. Don't underestimate crows.
-
Yes, Pinhead breaks chains when he walks through them.

I mean, the new Meg outfit is a dress that can be separated. Why is that? Seems arbitrary to me, but apparently that is absolutely ridiculous. So surely there is an explanation I am missing?
I think since Meg's dress was on the rift and you didn't get certain pieces until later in the rift people would be upset if they couldn't use one piece without all three.
-
I'm usually in another tab or not sitting down. I'm not staring at my character until a lobby pops.
Sometimes I don't even hear the loud DIIIIIIING. I've never been gone long enough to the point of not being there when I actually load in though.
-
The issue I've found doing farm game is a lot of the times the survivors will get angry at you if you don't try to sacrifice them. Usually if it's just 2 survivors left and you start toying with them then they'll be more receptive but not from the start of the game.
-
The day I'm playing killer and a survivor straight up socks me in the face is the day I start wearing helmet/face protecting cosmetics.
-
I very rarely run meta, because if I did then I'd have "beat" the game a long time ago.
Trying random wonky builds keeps the fun alive for me.
-
*survivor walks around the trap because their hitbox is smaller*
*Corridor is too narrow to walk around*
*cry*
-
Pinhead is the ultimate item eater. The box? The toolbox? The Medical Box?
"Oh no tears please. It's a waste of good suffering."
-
Think of it like school. You can be held back a year but you can't go from 3rd grade to 2nd grade.
You do get sent back to Preschool every 13th though.
-
Just for future experience, treat all killers like they have no red stain and no terror radius, even if you know they have one.
It'll greatly improve your survivor gameplay. Keep those eyes peeled.
-
Just keep the door closed. You're letting the cold air out.
-
Stake Out, Self Care, Botany Knowledge, Borrowed Time.
You may look at that and be like, what? Why? Well, the less time you spend healing and unhooking teammates the more time you have to do gens, and Stake Out gives you great skill checks and lets you know if the killer is nearby. You could replace Botany with Soul Guard but eh. That's a personal call.
-
If the devs really wanted to stop face camping they'd have hooks function like Pyramid Head cages. Just have the Entity swallow the hook after 10 seconds or so.
The one game I ran Kindred I got facecamped out of the gate so we had some survivors since I'm stubborn, but survivor queues were fast that night so I didn't really care. Rip brown toolbox.
-
Just do a palette swap/stretch it out a little and give the skin to Plague. I'd buy it.
-
I'd just play like normal, but play without add ons or use meme perks. Lull the MMR into a false sense of security. Then when you're really needing to win pop on meta perks and ultra rare add ons and fulfill your mission. (This is the method I use.)
You could impose challenges on yourself. Like a hit and run strategy without downing anyone. See if you can find each survivor after they heal up and injure them again. If a survivor starts following you because he thinks you're farming do a 360 (VERY IMPORTANT) and put him into the dying state.

I'd use it.
-
On the main menu it should show estimates for survivor or killer queue time.
Please.
-
I'd vote in favor of a rework. Pig's ambush is only useful around unsafe pallets, because if you could ambush a survivor on a generator you'd just walk up and grab them. RNG head traps have always tilted me, but if they could make that one out of a few possible traps in her kits so it's not so bothersome if she puts multiple traps on your head in one trial.
Why not a trap that attaches to your spine when you get pulled off the hook? Why not a trap that shackles your arms to a generator? Why not a trap that attaches to your pelvis if you vault a certain window?
There's a lot of SAW inspirations for all of those.
-
I wish there was a way for the killer to break the totem.

Is this a trick to get Freddy's laugh removed from the game because the license holder doesn't enjoy the voicelines from the movie they are licensing out?
I just had a stupid mental image of in-game Dead by Daylight Freddy opening the box and the three chains from the box snapping him and had a giggle fit.
The idea of Pinhead putting Freddy on the mori pillar though? I kinda love it.
-
Here Freddy open this box.
-
Discordance is my favorite killer perk in the game and if I'm playing seriously I'm going to be running it.
Survivors spawn together a lot of the time so it tells me where they spawned. Survivors also feel like working together after a heal and we can't have that. I just generally don't like it when they're touching my generators at all but especially not when there's two of them. You're not married. Stop that.
No don't all split off and work one to a generator either. Just get on the hook already.
