  • Freddy---I love toying with Survivors and atm he can be unpredictable. I get really sadistic as Freddy and torture Survivors.

Pig---I love stealth Killers so she's already amazing and I love that she can play with Survivors with her traps, it's fun to play around them and try to strategize and plan ahead, just like a true Jigsaw apprentice.

Spirit---She's really fast and zips all around the map unseen, it's really fun to just be anywhere you need and scare the hell out of everyone in the process. There are lots of games you can play with her and attack multiple Survivors without anyone knowing who you're actually going for.

Legion---Legion isn't as fun as he used to be, I used to enjoy playing him but the Devs did just a little too much when they fixed him and those small things really did it for me so even though I still play him a lot and got him to P3 my reasons for him being a main are no longer there.

Ghostface---It's early and before the dreaded Hotfix that is not necessary but right now before they butcher him for no reason I am really loving him. He feels powerful, he feels like a real Killer who is a threat for Survivors. I can be stealthy in almost every situation I need and if I play well I am rewarded with amazing victories. It's a shame the Devs are taking no one's feedback on this Killer and feel he needs to be in their right place instead of a real right place that everyone agrees on. Like all Killers, Ghostface needs practice to get good and if you make it too easy for Survivors your practice is equivalent to trying to get the ball into the square at one of the game booths of a carnival.

  • @AStupidMonkeyy Since they gave us the Endgame Collapse, Left Behind is completely useless; and for some reason the Devs think otherwise, they flat out said that you can still use the perk and get the trophy JUST DO IT BEFORE THE HATCH IS CLOSED!!!

    Great thinking Devs

I think your version of the perk is ok, It be ''When you are the last remaining Survivor and the Hatch is closed, perform a 25/20/15 second animation to open and escape through the Hatch''. I think that's the best way to rework the perk because it's no longer about getting enough Gens to reveal the Hatch it's about getting to the Hatch first or getting to the Exit first. This perk would give Survivors the 3rd option of getting to the Closed Hatch which sounds awesome.

Some people would say it would be overpowered and everyone will use it, well not everyone uses keys and everyone has them. Also, I think it's pretty hilarious that a Survivor will set up their entire build based around their team dying. It won't ever be as popular as Adrenaline, it takes time to perform, and if the Killer finds them it's game over.

  • @AStupidMonkeyy That's exactly how I feel about it, the change is good it makes sense but until the Protection Hits are fixed it's broken.

  • This is exactly what happened to Freddy, he was fine in the PTB, a lot of people were saying he was awesome and others saying he was OP but no one had time to ACTUALLY test him on the live servers and they screwed him up to the point everyone said he was a joke. Now everyone in this PTB said he needed buffs, they gave him buffs and now they're nerfing him, WHY?!!??

WHY?! GF is nowhere near Legion level and they're nerfing his BEST add-ons and making it easier to disable his power. People think it's hard? You need practice! This is so infuriating and they don't care. HAPPY 3 YEARS, NOTHING CHANGED!

  • I don't know if GF should do this but I would love this to be in the game.

  • @prayer_survivor I thought I had a match with a Nea who had it because she kept throwing herself at the Killer and then at the right moment she had that Endurance effect and I was blown away she got it to work. But then after we all died I looked at her perks and she didn't have it which reminded me that I had saved her with BT earlier and I was very disappointed :(

  • So I was thinking Monitor Abuse so his 8m radius while stealthed is 0

Discordance, Bamboozle, and I'm All Ears.

So Ghost's strength comes in knowing where Survivors are, if he knows where they are he can find a good vantage point to stalk them unseen.

M&A so he can get as close as possible, Discordance for two Survivors, Bamboozle for those Vaults you know they'll be taking, and I'm All Ears so you can see which direction they're going after the vault. Survivors can't mindgame loops if you can see them :)

It's not the best build but it's what I'm using right now.

  • So if you've seen videos of the original Legion, those two add-ons do that but worse because the chunks are smaller so it's not worth it and a waste of BP.

  • @fluffymareep exactly my point, damn I remember when Boil Over came out I was so excited, I literally thought it was going to be a new meta perk but it was nowhere close and it just failed miserably.

  • @gantes I like that it's niche, it gives the player a certai playstyle when they have the perk. We got stealth players, Gen jockeys, runners etc this would go into a sort of in your face type of gameplay, I guess the Runner. This player isn't working on Gens they're protecting their team and distracting the Killer and that's what gets them those Protection hits.

Once they fix that Protection Hit Event I'm sure the perk will be fine but right now it's borderline impossible. I got all 3 stacks one time but my team was on the brink of death with me and one other dude and I got instadowned by GF so it didn't even get activated.

I guess a good build for it would be Empathy, MoM, Self-Care, and Dead Hard? With either a Med-Kit or a Flashlight as an item.

  • @Grazox It's definitely build reliant, I think another reason I'm having a hard time is because I don't have Empathy on Ash. If I had that it would be much easier to help out my team and get those stacks.

  • @TAG I'm actually surprised you're having a hard time since you're a huge Pig player. I haven't played him yet today because I was leveling up Ash for turns out nothing.

I've gone against him all day, the only times I have been stalked is when I'm on a Gen out in the open and never in a jungle gym so I guess you really need to find the right Gen to stalk people on. But do know that despite not wearing black GF has been hard to spot so you don't necessarily need to get behind amazing cover you just need an okay spot to blend into and not actually hide. Other than that I've been seeing them Expose people during chases.

I'll be playing him tomorrow and hopefully get to understand everything better from his side. I'm assuming he would play like Pig so that's the playstyle I'm going in with.

  • Interesting, that's really cool, it doesn't show you where they are but at least you know who it is and who to look out for, I like that.

  • @TheGameZpro3 So that would be Noon my time, that sounds about right from what I can remember. I think the Anniversary live stream they had happened at the same time as well so that makes sense.

  • Scariest movie I've ever seen is The Grudge, I saw it was when I was young with my uncle and my dumbass thought it was an AMAZING idea to immediately go to the store and rent the the Japanese version Ju-On and watch it that night.

I've since gotten over my fear of the dark but holy ######### ######### you and everyone who's with me if I start hearing noises as well.

  • Peanits made a poll about how we feel about GF, it looks overwhelmingly positive so if the Devs nerf him they obviously don't care about fan feedback and shouldn't be putting up things like that. We deserve a good Killer, we need a good Killer, I need to feel Survivors see me as a threat, not a joke or someone to play with.

I mean I deserve to be laughed at if I can't hit someone who keeps juking me but not because the Killer I'm playing was nerfed to be #########.

  • I REALLY want some way for the Devs to create a profile of every player so that they can hop from the console to the PC and still have everything they've already earned, it would help players transition from one platform to another.

Having Bundles for the DLC would help newer players so they don't have to spend as much money just to start the damn game.

Not only do you have to buy the DLC but you have grind each one of those characters to get their perks. Newer players wouldn't know what they're doing and probably not know to get Leatherface first.

Year 1 Bundle, Year 2 Bundle, Novice Killer Bundle(Leatherface, Hag) etc

  • I see a lot of people here accusing everyone in this thread of being toxic for wanting to be an ######### to SWF. The consensus if that SWF have more of an advantage over the 1 Killer, they can communicate and this communication usually causes them to get toxic and do things to intentionally ruin the Killer's game. The Killer is a person and you should be respecting each other regardless, it's a game. You disrespect us then we disrespect you, I enjoy killing all Survivors equally but dominating a good SWF teams who just wants to make sure you de-pip deserves that nice ass ######### from the Entity they so desperately are trying to avoid.

If they're being an ######### to me, obviously trying to screw me over and enjoy it then it depends on who I'm playing.

If my skill level is high enough I'll try to use their own desires against them, if they're altruistic then I'll be getting a lot of hooks in whatever way I need. I don't have any details because it all depends on what they're doing, IDEALLY I would be keeping them in my Basement.

If they're focusing on Gens then I'll be wounding them and slugging them but it really all depends on who my Killer is and my perks. It's a lot easier to combat a Gen rushing team with slug tactics when you have Surveillance.

  • I was playing Pig earlier and dominated the hell out of these Survivors who I'm sure was at least a 2 man SWF. I had a Claudette who was pretty cocky with Sprint Burst, tried to bait me, get in my face, I took advantage of the sweet thing :D

I was obviously ignoring her and stalked off silently and knew she was following me, what she didn't know was I chose Lery's specifically because I had Amanda's Letter ๐Ÿ˜ˆ I lured her right into my trap and from there it was all down hill for everyone XD

At the end she died but her friend DC'd when I downed her.

Anyway, long story shirt I've been seeing lots of Prestige 3 Survivors who are Rank 16 or 15 and know what they're doing.

  • Yeah I've been seeing a lot of Rank 15s with Prestige 3 I know there are probably other people like me who just started playing again after a long hiatus but you'd think they'd be less of an ######### and not DC when they get treated like a #########.

  • I just got back on a few days ago, I went against a Squadette gang and they all escaped because it was super hard to hear and see them.

Until I get my skills back, ######### em.

  • @DudeDelicious So instead of HG having 2 trapped totems it instead makes every other Hex totem Expose Survivors as well if they're cleansed. That would be really cool because sometimes they don't get HG but get Ruin and then no one touches the other Totem, this would mean that even if they get rid of Ruin they're still Exposed. So it would be a lethal Thrill of The Hunt, that's bad ass and though it doesn't fix the totem problem it buffs a perk that already helps with the problem. Not a bad idea.

  • @DudeDelicious I personally use Totems as gimmicks, an extra ability for myself, to compliment but not rely on and it does suck that a lot of people rely on them for their game to be successful, it's not a good situation to be in.

I think one of my problems is that I look at problems too realistic and logically which is weird for that to be a bad thing but it's a game so if you think too hard you'll hurt yourself lol

I just hate how the Devs marvelous way to fix totems was the ''line of sight check'' and it did absolutely nothing. I see lots of players where the totem in on the other side of the wall they're next to. Sure it wasn't in their line of sight but it's still right next to them. I made another thread a while ago about other fixes for totems and then they made Haunted Grounds which was a different version of an idea in my thread. They throw us fixes in perks but don't solve the actual problems in the games and it's irritating.

  • @ElusivePukka I get what you're saying, I see it, but that doesn't mean things can't be tweaked to allow this to be a good thing. It would of course require some things in the rest of the game to be minorly tweaked so it might not be worth the effort since it's just for totem defense lol

I despise the design philosophy with this game it doesn't have faith in it's players to adapt and constantly holds hands with Survivors. It should be difficult for Survivors like it can be in some instances and it should be challenging for Killers but not as much as it is sometimes. Some decisions made in this game are ridiculous and feels like an insult to those who play the game, like we can't handle ourselves and we NEED someone to take care of us, that's not fair to the players and makes them spoiled.

  • Edited the idea, instead of entering the Dying State when you are Injured after cleansing a totem you will become Broken for 30 seconds. It keeps you from healing, not that you were doing it before apparently.

  • @ElusivePukka So you're saying my idea is flawed but you're not saying why, I've given a good argument about why my idea is good but you haven't countered but instead side-lined it completely. I am not swayed that my idea is overpowered, if I'm wrong I'm wrong but I'm not seeing anyone counter my idea.

I mean we could come up with an idea together, this thread is about totem defense. Deep Wounds isn't good enough because DW sucks, it'll keep them busy for maybe 16 seconds but once the Killer gets within range it's aboslutely useless, it's why Legion's DW is a joke, it's why BT was buffed.

  • @ElusivePukka I guess you didn't read the whole thing, yes it's every Hex totem, it wouldn't be right to make Dull totems do that.

You got 4 Survivors, 1 finds Ruin 12 seconds into the match and injures themselves doing it, maybe they sneak away or run off because you're chasing someone, well that's your only totem no problemlem for the Survivors.

Next match you got Ruin and Huntress, well one goes down 10 seconds into the match who cares what it is. Same thing happens and you're chasing someone so that Survivor gets away injured. later on in the match when that other totem is getting annoying, maybe you got 3 Survivors left and one Survivor finds your 2nd totem but is already injured, well they have to choose to find another Survivor to get healed or just break it, they have to choose if it means that much to them. Spoiler, it's a totem so it doesn't mean anything they go the entire match with Huntress or Ruin and they'll escape because they can. If that Survivor does the totem and goes down then you hook that one and you got 2 Survivors on Gens and 1 on the hook. They're a team they'll figure out what to do, hell Trapper has this same momentum with Honing Stone and they still run him around.

Now lets say that Survivor dies on the hook and they do all the Gens, oh crap now you got NOED you sneaky bastard and one goes onto the hook and the other has to decide whether to look for the totem and get injured or just leave, IF THEY CAN FIND THE TOTEM. Now we Killers know that even if that Survivor did break the totem and had a medkit to heal they would STILL go down once they save their friend, fact unless they have Mettle. If they didn't heal when they broke it then why get rid of it in the first place, maybe they have BT and manage to get past you well they go down and the other Survivor gets out, just like the previous scenario.

And you know what, it's a game we can just decide that NOED has no defensive capabilities because it's power is so strong already that the Killer shouldn't be able to protect this totem.

  • @ElusivePukka So you want to buy this ability, you want to spend $7 on a perk to protect totems.

So you this, Ruin, well once Ruin goes down you're down 2 perks, what are your other perks yo I hope they're good.

Instead you can use 2 totems and 2 other perks and have this ability. You don't need to sell yourself short, you can kill people with both hands don't let the Survivors brainwash you.

Remember Haunted Grounds? That was a community suggestion and they turned it into a perk, it's a good perk but instead of finding ways to FIX THE GAME they are selling us the things we want as perks. Mad Grit was their answer to body blocking sold to us for $7 oh you want help for body blocking better make room for that perk boi lol

  • Overall I think this is a good concept, it's like the Lanterns from the Chinese event and it gives more depth to the Gens which is good because they're boring.

I think Suicidefox came up with Gens overheating if you worked on them too fast and being overheated made damaging them more punishable and the skillchecks got harder etc. and that's good too.

Anything to bring depth and make Gens more fun to work on is good, I like the Gas idea personally, I really want to hear Survivors running with a sloshing sound coming from their gas can as I chase them lol

  • @ReikoMori Honing Stone, tht's the one that puts you into Dying if you free yourself I think, well then it's not a problem because you'd go down before even touching the totem, it has nothing to do with the totem.

Even if they had Bloody Coil it would still be the best defense and it's only to help the team not yourself, numbers against a power role. Sure that Survivor would go down but it's for everyone's cause, it's a team game.

  • I don't know why they thought to add that sound, does ANY other stealth Killer in this game make that much noise? No? Then ######### did they do it here?

Wraith is ''invisible'' so his advantage is not being seen. GF is not invisible so he can be seen but they thought it was a good idea for everyone to HEAR him too. The decision to do this is what's ridiculous, if they leave it in then I'm not buying him. Yes I made a thread praising them for GF but it was about the concept and that he'd be really fun when he was fixed. He shouldn't have to be ''fixed'' it should be obvious that if you want to sneak up behind someone and slit their throat you'd want to be stealthy and not heard.

Asymmetrical game game, 1 power role and then there's the group role, where's the power role in these Killers? The Survivors should be scared and complaining OP but the Killers have been doing that ######### for years.

  • Bad back then yes, doesn't mean the game can't GO BACK to being like that.

  • @TAG @SpaceCoconut there was a fan chapter made for Ghostfact LONG before he was even mentioned. In it was the mimic power people keep talking about. Basically GF would tag a Survivor and when the power was ready the Survivor would teleport into a locker and the Killer would switch places with him. The Killer would appear as the Survivor and put on the GF mask and cloak taking a few seconds, this would be the best way to do this ability and even though I was trying to spread this build around and get the Devs in it they chose their stealth build instead.

It came with an original Survivor and perks, the chapter was glorious. I think it was called a Study in something, humanology or something, it wasn't titled GHostface or anything. It was so original but it honored the Scream franchise and the idea of Ghostface so well so it's really disappointing they didn't choose it :(

  • I think this is awesome, it adds more depth to the game. Whether this helps against Genrush or not I would still enjoy this because it adds more to repairing Gens which is quite boring. Everyone knows that the real excitement is from hiding or fleeing from the Killer and Gens is just this waiting game where you hold a button. This would add more depth, a risk system of trying too hard, take it slow etc and it gives us a reason to go slow.

When the Devs said they'd add more things for Survivors to do I still don't know what they meant. I thought they would ADD MORE THINGS TO DO, this Gen thing would mean that Gens could explode, maybe we can find Extinguishers ;)

  • @TAG I like option A with Faulty Trigger, pausing the Endgame timer with the trap makes much more sense because the Devs want that fairness so give Pig players their RBT and the Endgame by pausing one timer in favor for another.

What would you suggest for an add-on for her Ambush? I really like the idea of her hidden blade effecting Survivors somehow, the RBT are awesome of course and allow for stronger effects but i know the Ambush could do more if we let it.

I like your Rusty attachment idea, I had thought of doing that at first but decided against it because I thought it could be too much.

  • @TAG When I made Rusty Attachments I was thinking about how stupid the perk Sloppy was split into two add-ons so if you wanted the effect but not the perk you could use 1 single add-on for it and it would free up a perk slot for you. I was debating putting it on Ambush but decided not to because I find a lot of idiots heal before trying to take their trap off, even when it's on.

I made Faulty Trigger for the first RBT only to go with the Devs idea of not having one turn on during the Collapse. I personally don't like that design choice, yeah fair is fair but you're also trying to kill people so it shouldn't matter too much, let their head blow up if they get caught. But I made it the first RBT in case the Devs see this page and like the idea, maybe it'll get implemented but I completely agree with your version.

I made Serrated Blade 30 seconds with the idea that you'd let that Survivor go to get another but I see that I shouldn't force that playstyle on players, everyone has their own strategies, I'll change it. I'm also changing Secret Message as well, that's a real problem for Pig and I wanted this thread to be purely about fixing things lol

  • @BadMrFrosty Being all he can be doesn't mean top tier, he can be fixed and be top tier. My expectations for being all he can be is too high for this game lol I mean the fact that they made a stealth Killer really loud just says a lot about their design philosophy which is nowhere near mine.

  • @IMhereRUN Yeah there's no roar if you just use Crouch but not the Ambush, I go into Crouch but when I get close I deactivate Crouch instead of using Ambush, guarantee hit that way. Also I'll just have to agree to disagree on her roar change being overpowered, I would need to see it in action to change my mind on that. And I play on the PS4 atm so jukes are a real problem on the consoles :( I've been trying to get better but damn it's difficult to counter.

  • @Bravo0413 you didn't really see where I was going with it but it's all good. I do think Ghostface IS ######### right now, I make lots of smartass remarks about his add-ons, perks, and power all the time but regardless I am still excited for the concept of something beautiful. I have faith that he will be fixed, not that he'll be all he can be but at least fixed.

  • @Bravo0413 Judging me instead of judging Behavior? Interesting choice as they're the ones making the product. Sure cigarettes give people lung cancer lets blame the idiots who buy them instead of raiding the cigarette companies who make the product. One person can burn down an entire building but no one's doing it.

  • @silasbleu said:

Even if we couldn't have gotten a survivor from the movies/TV show, I wouldn't of minded just another generic survivor as well as a map (cough HIGH SCHOOL MAP cough). Either way I'm excited. I haven't played as him yet but I'm sure he'll make a great addition to the roster.

@silasbleu My thoughts exactly, damn it sucks that I like to write sometimes, I wrote like 3 paragraphs and you said everything in 3 sentences lol

  • As Survivor I win if I escape or help someone on my team escape, if everyone dies then I count that as a loss; major loss if I don't pip up.

As a Killer I count a minimum win as a 2 kill and domination as a 4k unless it was too easy.

If I get no kills but get a pip it feels weird, yeah I did enough to pip up but did it really matter? To me it means I need to get better. I hear in the Red ranks you can get a 4k and get a safety, if you're trying to pip I can see the absolute frustration and rage but if you don't care then it's still a win.

I'm not competitive so having that Red 1 next to my Killer doesn't entice me. I'm sure my mind will change though when they make it each Killer has their own Rank, then I'll 100% care about making sure all my Killers are at the same Rank, it wouldn't be for competitive reasons it would just be respect for my chosen and that I am indeed good with all of them.

Weird how that slight change kind of puts me into competitive mode.

  • @TAG I'm All Ears seems to go with Furtive Chase and is probably the only way you can use it, Furtive reduces your TR in a chase so it gives you that weird opportunity you need to use the other perk which is completely ridiculous.

It's one thing to have Enduring compliment Spirit Fury but at least with SF you don't NEED Enduring to run it like the above perks do.

  • I use them a lot, I'm a hoarder so if I have 5 of something good I start using something worse until I get more of the other add-ons.

  • Pig---Amanda's Secret is useless and has an unnecessary drawback of not seeing Jigsaw Boxes. It stops you from tunneling Survivors searching Boxes but then tells you where they are when they're done which defeats the purpose of not tunneling them.

Combat Straps is redundant since they increased her speed on that so the add-on isn't needed at all.

Pig's roar makes her Ambush almost unusable, when you start charging her power she roars and everyone starts running before you're finished charging so when you actually Ambush they're already gone making any hits with it luck based. I don't use her Ambush, I sneak up to Survivors and then stand back up, because it's stealthy, like she's supposed to be.

What I love about Pig is that she's sneaky, she can play with Survivors, and she can juggle them. I can sneak right up to them and just grab them off the Gen, I can slug one, put a trap on another and then go back and chase the one I slugged. If the match goes the way I want it to they're at my mercy and like Amanda I don't use my traps with fairness in mind.

If you're starting out Pig but you've played the game for a while I will say practice with your Ambush now at loops, that's what everyone else does with her useless ability. When you Crouch they can't hear you and when you stand back up you retain that ability for a few seconds. Her best add-ons are the Timer, the Gears, and the extra Boxes. Don't use the extra skill check add-ons unless you're doing an Impossible Skill check build because more skill checks mean they get those traps off faster.

  • OMG that's sick! Looks like I get to keep my favorite build on him now ๐Ÿ˜ˆ I like to use Sloppy Butcher, Knockout, Thana, and Remember Me.

  • WAIT! Where are the add-ons?! REVEAL YOUR SECRETS!

  • Killers are supposed to have the power role in asymmetrical games but there are too many counters to Killers in this game. The Devs hold the Survivors hands like they're babies and yes some of them are babies but it's because they choose to suck that pacifier. Ghostface is a prime example of this, too many crutches for the Survivors, so many crutches for someone who can be seen, Wraith doesn't even have this many counters and he's ''invisible'', where's the logic people?

  • @IMhereRUN Most if not all Pig players here will disagree with you. She's supposed to be a stealth Killer, her roar is fine and it's use totally understandable but because it's before she actually uses the ability it gives Survivors a heads up and they run away making any actual hit with it luck based, not skill. If the roar was at the end of the charge bar and then she gets up and starts running it would give her time to choose a target and actually hit, instead of ''OKAY HERE I GO, OH THERE THEY ARE I BETTER GET OVER THERE oh no my ability ran out''.

When the Devs made her it wasn't there intention for us to use her Ambush at loops, we did that because we couldn't find any other use for it. When I sneak up on someone, I want to kill them, I don't want them to run away, and that's why I don't use Ambush but instead just stand back up and sometimes get a Gen grab. Also, if you're comfortable with a Killer not performing well under high pressure then that's good, but people who actually care about this character don't like that they are being screwed over by small decisions like this roar, it's ridiculous. It's like if you had a baby but your partner insisted on your baby having their right arm tied behind their back for their entire life, you're okay with it because they can get by with one arm. Everyone else who actually cares about that baby see that father as an ######### and wants to call CPS.

  • This is the most resilient Killer I've ever seen, his entire kit is based around ignoring everything Survivors can throw at him but those same things are still a counter in some way. He might be too powerful in some areas but overall he looks incredibly balanced in what he can do and what he can't do.

My few critiques go to his perk Brutality, it's like Brutal Strength but it has a prerequisite and that same prerequisite makes him leave the chase to use his ability. You'd be better off using Brutal Strength because you'd use it more often since you don't need to hit someone beforehand.

Bloodied Hands kind of confuses me, I get the first part of the perk and it's very situational but I don't understand how the second part activates. You need to hit someone else while in a chase with your Obsession to get the recovery speed, got it. But how do you get the Exposed status?

I really like Raid, it has everything everyone loves about NOED but it's structured and doesn't go overboard. I can see people choosing this over NOED but I can also see people going back and forth, maybe use both. 10% is high but PWYF has a max of 15% and this is still 1 hit period so it's well it's balanced.

Overall this is a really good Killer, this is definitely the brutal hardcore raw Killer I've been wanting in the game. I wouldn't play him often as that's not myself of gameplay lol but he's really cool and I love the prison theme, it all goes together.
