The rifts have been a joke since they were added. The battle pass is the only way to get anything good from the rifts anyway. I haven't shelled out any money on this game in over a year and a half. They haven't fixed anything yet keep adding more and more overpriced DLC and cosmetics to the game on top of the ######### rift rewards if you dont have the battle pass. So nah, ######### the rifts and the battle pass.

Oh please, Killers got BT destroyed. Killers got mad because Survivors were using BT exactly the way it was meant to be used but since it hurt your poor wittle feelings it got nerfed into the dirt. Killers basically got DS destroyed, you now have 5 million aura reading perks because apparently Killers can't find any Survivors without help. Legion is just 9 kinds of broken due to his abilities and perks, it's no wonder Survivors D/C when they see him. Killers whine and cry until they get what they want. Lobby Dodging is just pathetic. If you seriously can't handle the items Survivors bring then play another damn game and stop making this one worse.MhhBurgers said:Z@Gunmech04 said:

You bring in an item.
Killer dodges.
Killer gets an instant new lobby.
Three other survivors get screwed because you decided your feelings of self-righteousness were more important than everyone else's time.
Is that clear enough for you? You're not going to get lobby dodgers to stop dodging items because killers have extremely fast queues. You're not doing anything to help the situation by bringing in items. All you're doing is screwing over other survivors.
Well maybe the cry baby killers need to find a new game if they can't handle someone using tools that are IN the game. Personally, I bring in flashlights just to piss off Killers because I'm sick of their self-righteous, I'm better than you, pampered attitude.
Lobby dodging is a tool that is IN the game aswell.
Bring a new argument mate
No, any idiot with a brain would know that the ability to dodge a lobby is to avoid extremely bad ping, not for you little pansies to run away from any survivor with an item. I NEVER lobby dodge as a Killer because I can deal with the items Survivors bring into the match. It's time for Killers to either nut up or shut up. You've had Survivors nerfed into the ground and you still have to lobby dodge.
LUL nerfed into the ground, how?
Exhaustion changes got unnerfed by removing exhaustion from survivors who get hooked.
Unhook Invul was introduced.
BT was buffed to oblivion
You can still loop the same as before, ######### like rotten fields has still not been fixed, you still have massive safe zones on many maps right next to gens or exit gates.
The only hard nerf was the nerf to selfcare which was LONG overdue due to survivors being able to bodyblock without any consequences.

I started back in March of 2017, and 1520 hours of gametime later I'm saddened to see the game going the way it is. I haven't done any serious playing since.....October of last year. I quit buying chapters because I won't support a game that now panders to one group and doesn't take the rest of it's players seriously.

I think something needs to be changed. Instead of forcing lobby dodging, I'd rather some means of simply opting out of SWF for the killer be provided, so killers who want to avoid that nonsense can do so easily. If they implement something like that for Killers then the Survivors need to be given an option not to play against certain Killers.
-
They've been trying to get Survivors and Killera to play both sides for a while now, the dailies seem to be geared to give more for the side you don't play on. That and this event basically forcing people to play killer is such a stupid idea.Peasant said:@Rebel_Raven said:

I wonder if this is why the devs made the event require you to play both roles?

The patch is a ######### joke. maybe is Behaviour didn't force Survivors to play Killer for the stupid vials wait times would be better, but I'm betting this crappy patch has something to do with wait times as well. Every killer is now running some version of mangaled because it takes ######### forever to heal now, even if someone is using a medkit or We'll Make It. Killers also got more hooks added. This patch is so biased towards killers it's ridiculous.Tsulan said:

Two main issues I have with this event - queue times and game experience.Killer queues take forever. I'm rank 12, right in the middle of where most people should be, and it takes an eternity to get a game. This was already a problem during right after the rank reset, but got better over time as the player distribution started to be within the same rank pool.
My other issue is in-game experience. Since I started the event, I had NO REAL GAMES both as survivor and killer. Every killer just wants to farm when I play survivor and every survivor just doesn't try when I play killer. This takes away the experience of the actual game. I can't even bare to play right now.
One of the main problems I see is that this extra objective is highly individual on the survivor side. It's possible that you put in an offering and never get to touch a single juice plant, thus getting nothing from the game. Not to mention that most players just spend their time running around the map not doing anything except looking for these plants. This mechanism doesn't really encourage team play, especially with strangers, and also slows the game down considerably that barely any gens getting done in the first 3-4 minutes of the game.
That being said, this means killers can now have more time to hunt survivors, right? No... no, the killers that I have come up against just want to farm during the event. Four (4) games in a row was nothing but killers wanting to farm. For whatever reason, these farming killers think they are doing a favor to me by allowing me to have 0 challenge in my games. It's the opposite, I want to experience the game in proper, not just get points. This isn't FarmVille or Clicker Heroes. I have absolutely no interest in those types of games and it's no fun as a survivor. Plus, these farming killers are hogging up all of the killer queues where killers who actually WANT to play the game properly have to wait ages for their room to be filled.
On the killer side, I get into games where survivors also expect nothing but farming. Or just die without a challenge because there are no gens pressuring me (because they are running around looking for nectar plants).
Also, the nectar bar only saves at every 1/3 of the tube as survivor. What is the actual purpose of this?? As if it wasn't hard enough getting nectar plants, you can't even keep what you got in the first place.
I like that the devs are trying something different from previous events, but this doesn't really work in my opinion. One of the best events to-date, personally, was the Summer BBQ event. In that event, you were still doing a shared objective and the benefits are actually shared with all other teammates. There was also push and pull between killers and survivors. Killers could use Event generators as a mark, where he/she knows survivors want this objective. Working as a team to finish these gens feels rewarding and earned. Sure, there were killers that still wanted to farm, but not nearly as many as this Halloween Blight event so far.
It is possible that I'm just having bad games so far, but there are flaws within this event system, and I think BHVR can improve on them.
I really like this event, im getting 80-100k EVERY match and saying "GG EZ GAME EZ LIFE" or "GG 2 EZ, followed by a GG = Git Gud" because of no gens done at Rank 1 while survivors cry me a river on the chat. Feels good man! :chuffed:
And that attitude right there coupled with the crappy Survivor nerfs this patch and this ######### event is why Killers have a ridiculous que time because no one wants to play with all these toxic ######### in this game now.
Oh and the patch was the most balanced one we got this year. -
What's so hard about it for Killers? You have nothing extra to do, just hooking people. That's it, no running around trying to find these stupid plants, no fighting with other Survivors for the plants. The event hooks cant be sabo'ed because Killers apparently threw a fit because we could sabo the previous ones. So tell me, what is so hard about this event for Killers? Hell you're even getting extra time to kill the Survivors because they are so busy fighting over the nectar that gens dont get done.Tsulan said:

Because then you're stealing nectar from survivors who still need it because you wanted a few bloodpoints, which is incredibly selfish and unnecessary for the event.
Then once Killer's reach their 30 vials they shouldn't get anymore bloodpoints from the event hooks then.
Maybe not even attempted. -

I'm completely and totally over this stupid event. They haven't fixed anything, the idiot survivors now just go collect this stupid juice and that's it. The healing nerfs, pallet changes, extra hooks being added, this event is so Killer biased it's laughable. Can't get enough gens to even attempt an escape because all of the morons running around as Survivor can't seem to grasp that gens need to be done, the juice is a moronic secondary objective that quite frankly should have been better thought out. And the fact that to get both Cosmetics you are forced to play both Killer and Survivor. Sorry but I have no intention of running around as killer just because the idiots at Behavior can't grasp a simple thought that some people don't want to play as Killer and some don't want to play as a Survivor. I'm sick of the ways they constantly try to force you to play both roles all the time. I've almost reached the point where I am going bail on this game and go back to 7 Days to Die, at least that was fun.

This event is a bad joke in my opinion. I mean seriously, let's give survivors an extra objective to complete, which gives Killers more time to find them, and then on top of that lets take away progress from Survivors if they die. I don't see the Killers having to do anything extra or lose anything if Survivors get away. I'm already sick to death of this dumbass event and it hasn't even been live for more than 12 hours.

This event is completely tailored to Killers. This event sucks balls to be honest. I am not happy with it at all. Theres no point trying to do this even as survivor

I still feel they should have done something to DS even if it was reduction of stun time or made it if you were the obsession only. I really do get why killers feel jerked around by this out come. It has been tons of talk since before 2.0.... If you were not happy with the direction, maybe a different type of nerf for now until you decided to redesign the perk.So what would happen to the other Survivors who aren't the obsession if they make that change? What are we supposed to do, go in with 3 perks only because Killer's can't deal with DS, or are we gonna have to pick a 5th perk to take the place of DS if we aren't the obsession?
-
Maybe it could show how each Killer and Survivor came to be in the Enitity's realm. Maybe we could have more on the Entity and Benedict Baker, the one Survivor that never seem to get caught. I think that would make for a good movie and for the ending they could have all the Killers and Survivors waking up on a map

I completely agree with this. My friend Kurt_Vaulkner and myself try and stream daily. Saturday we streamed for 7 hours. Today is Drunk by Daylight. WE have a small group of people who come watch us on Sundays because it is pretty funny. But I do think BE needs to partner up with some of the smaller streamers who aren't completely toxic to everyone. If anyone wants to come watch, we start at 5pm central time and stream till we get to drunk to do anything else. Our Twitch names are Twitch.tv/Kurt_vaulkner Mine is Twitch.tv/Gunmech04 But I do hope that the devs take note of some of the smaller streamers who play this game for fun, not to be a toxic camping, looping asshate

IF you guys are looking for a pair of idiots to watch you should watch me and my friend Kurt on Sundays when we do Drunk by Daylight lol. It gets pretty nuts. My twitch name is the same as my profile name on here

Me and my friend Kurt Stream a few times a week but we don't really have that many followers yet. We aren't a toxic group, just idiots who like to stream and play DBD

Yeah its ######### he DCd but youre in no way entitled to an achievement. You tried 9 times? Good for you. There are way harder and more annoying achievements in the history of games to get than evil incarnate. Youre playing an online game where an achievement isnt guaranteed in any way. Why are you so concerned about getting it anyway? For bragging rights? For a cookie? Pat on the back maybe? Try getting the platinum trophy for bloodborne on ps4 or something lolI already have the platinum trophy for bloodborne I prefer it over darksouls so I had to 100% it. And again I don't care about him locker camping I care about him disconnecting after I outsmarted him. Also taking someone hostage is defined as "The act of seizing or holding a person as security for the fulfilment of a condition." His condition was to deny me an achievement he knew what I was after, he knew I wasn't leaving without it. He was holding me in the game by denying me the ability to do something that was meant to be done by abusing a mechanic not intended to be used in that way.
He wasn't holding you in the game. You were holding yourself there. You could have just ended the game by pulling him out of the locker and hanging him. instead, you decided you weren't leaving without the achievement. You're not guaranteed that.

Lobby dodging is the source of the problem. This is the exactly what caused the Last Second Switch to begin with. If you as Killers can't handle the items survivors bring into the match then it's time for you to find a new game. You shouldn't be allowed to cherry pick your games just because you see someone with a flashlight. You know I wish I could see the Killer before the match starts so I can decide if I want to play against them. So quit whining about something you caused Killers.

It's too easy to take the game hostage from a myers working on an achievement. The game isn't being held hostage. Myers had every chance to end the game. The survivor isn't required to get out of a locker just so Myers can get an Achievement. He could have pulled the survivor out of the locker and hung them at any time.

I pretty much gave up on getting either one. Too many camping killers and it takes to long to get a game as killer

Been over this a hundred times. BHVR can not stop voice comms. And for them to say comms is cheating but we can't stop it just makes them look bad. If they truly considered voice comms as not cheating then they would go ahead and whitelist Discord. But low and behold Discord IS NOT whitelisted. They didn't whitelist Google Chrome and my super sneaky perk googling either.
ARREST ME OFFICER
Point is , third party software that gives an unfair advantage, that isn't on the white list is a perma-ban offense. If you go on only pure logic and yes or no answers you would have to agree.
Discord is
1) A third party piece of software ... true
2) Not on the white list ... true
3) Used by SWF groups to gain a very unfair advantage over another player ... trueBut hey its ok, you just keep on doing what you do and screw the other people, its all good they can just get gud, and you can crutch it up.
So basically going by your logic, when we are playing Dead by daylight we shouldn't be allowed to have any program open but the game? Twitch can be used as an advantage if a Killer is streaming and you know about it. You guys just need to give it up, discord isn't going anywhere and neither is SWF.

What exactly was the problem with the old shrine? Seemed to be working just fine to me.

-
Well there goes Sabo, right out the damn window.
-
If the Devs had half a brain the rank resets would take place every 3 months when the new patches roll out.
-
I actually preferred the old system. It worked just fine. I honestly don't see why they added this ridiculous player level.
-
So basically @ShrimpTwiggs, you're saying because SB can counter ambush attacks it needs to be nerfed so Killers can get a free hit in basically?
-
I for one have no intention of coming back to this game. They are going to far in one direction with this latest batch of proposed nerfs and changes. I'm done, over it. I will be uninstalling the game when I get home and probably never log onto it again.
-
SB didn't nullify any abilities, it was used as a counter to ambush style attacks. Did it always work? No it didn't, but because it works some of the time it has to be nerfed because Killers can't stand the fact that they don't get a free hit when using an ambush attack.
-

-
I think a lot of Killers are complaining about SB mainly because it's something that can counter ambush style attacks. Without it Killers would basically be able to get a free hit off on Survivors making chases that much shorter. But you're right about SC, it shouldn't just make all the progress vanish, that's nerfing it too much.
-
That's just it, with the nerf/rework, Survivors are going to be hard pressed to even manage an escape during a chase. The nerf to SB and SC for example; say you got away injured, you start healing and it's 3/4 of the way done, SB on cooldown, and the Killer finds you. Now you have to run away again, no SB, SC reset to zero. Killer drops you. This exact situation is going to happen more and more with exhaustion not dropping when you're running and SC resetting to zero if you don't completely heal.
-
Because combined with exhaustion nerfs, DS nerf, SC nerf, Survivors are literally going to have nothing to get away from Killers with. I mean at this point you might as well just tell Survivors to stand still so the Killer can just hook and sacrifice them. After almost 1,100 hours I'm done.PieMan said:@Gunmech04 why do you think they're not gonna be worth anything?
