I remember they said on a livestream some time ago they are satisfied with how Myers performs. Just hope for at least an addon pass.
-
I doubt they are going to make basekit changes, they'll probably put his addons in line with Wraith.

The survivor will know the direction your coming from so your short burst is worthless against that.
Short bursts are literally unreactable. Spirit moves at around 7m/s while in phase, so good luck reacting to that if she phases for 1 and a half seconds.
-
I honestly think she will barely be affected. Her strongest playstyle consists of short phase bursts and those nerfs barely affect this. If anything it will affect only bad Spirit players who use the entire power gauge.
Just equip that green hair brooch addon and everything will be fine.
-
If hackers keep increasing at the rate they are right now, it might be it tbh.
-
Holy crap this video is top tier meme LOL.

I won't spoil exactly what is or isn't in there, but part 2 is packing just as much as part 1.
Please continue making patches like this. The game becomes way more interesting when we keep having constant changes.

But are they three times more inclined to do so? Or are they going to say screw it I'll get it anyway. They make money off whales, the big spenders, not Timmy who got 5 bucks for mowing the lawn so he can buy a cool hat for Dwight.
How many players you see using linked outfits? And how many you see using mash ups?
-
@Satelit said:
Because a whole outfit is more expensive than 1 piece.
But people are way more inclined to buy new outfits if they are unlinked because they can be creative.
-
Topknot is the equivalent of old instasaw Billy. Makes Oni too easy.
-
I only play killer when I have those yummy Strode Keys.
-
Just make it so you make the same sounds of when you're healthy. Breathing, running sounds, etc.
-
Third Seal is super annoying if you play solo queue. Now that killers like Oni, Bubba and Huntress which are strong sluggers can use it as well it's going to be solid imo. Blood Favour is still poop though.

I mean most of the time yeah cause of how easy he is to dodge and pre-plan exactly how you’ll counter his rush.
He's one of the few killer that reliable gets kills on comp scenarios. He's far from easy to dodge, unless you're bad. This will probably be the case for Spirit, bad players won't be getting kills anymore :).

BHVR doesn't have a great record of listening to Fog Whisperers
Just a random thought, but why are there no Fog Whisperers from console? I know some console streamers like One_Stalky_Boi get way more viewers than some Fog Whisperers out there and they'd help a ton on exposing console problems. Idk if the program is exclusive to PC, never bothered to read it.
-
I'm fine with the Spirit change but yeah, Iron Will needs something.

"barely affected"?
I could literally just sit at any long window or downed pallet and know exactly when to vault by just listening. It made her way weaker and put her power entirely in the hands of survivors. "Fun!"
It barely affected her. I watched everyone playing her and played her myself and people still won. She's not "in control of survivors" because she still moves at mach 3 speed on your direction.
-
If a map is only good if you can only win on it against weaker opponents than it is far from balanced...
-
I expect a nerf to Tombstone Piece and a buff to a lot of his addons. Those speed while stalking and aura addons (except for Scratched) are really bad.

Currently yes, not anymore soon.
Let's at least wait for PTB? Spirit had a bug sometime ago where she had directional phase. It barely affected how strong she was, and she was way more fun to play against as well.
-
Omg, Ghostface addon pass. Finally, after 2 ######### years. I'm almost crying right now.

Doesn't change that she's much slower. Billy's chainsaw has turning restrictions too, but before they nerfed him, he was one of the best, simply because he could get around the map fast and reliably, and Blight benefits from the same factor. Spirit is too slow in comparison.
I barely consider Spirit's power a movement ability due to how long it takes to recharge. It's more of a chase power, and it's an insane one.

So, one tip I would have for anyone really struggling on M1 killers and MMR: run fewer slowdowns and run more chase perks. M1 killers actually get little value from slowdown perks because they also struggle to pressure and down survivors. PGTW and Ruin do nothing if you can't force survivors off of gens and down/hook them. It seems counterintuitive, but you need to augment their chase ability in many cases rather than extend the game. You'll never, ever outpace safe tile count relative to gens against optimal survivors.
Watch any M1 killer in comp DbD and you'll see them take Corrupt/Bamboozle/Brutal/NOED. No slowdown other than Corrupt. A Nurse player will take the slowdowns because they can actually get downs efficiently without perk help. A Trapper/Legion/Pig/etc can't. I consistently win uber sweaty games on Trapper with that build.
Aside from NOED (I use BBQ), that's basically my build for Legion, Wraith, Myers, Pig and Freddy. Good to know I use a comp build lol.

Right... so because Blight can't rush through one part of house on a map out of 30 or something maps whereas spirit can, my argument is invalidated or what?
That's called an example, you know what it means? Spirit's movement is still way more freely than Blight's.
-
@Alionis said:

Blight mains have shown for a while now that the turning rate restriction doesn't hinder him since he can bounce off something and briefly have access to 360° turning to reorient himself.
And even then, that doesn't change anything about the fact that he will be considerably stronger than Spirit after her change.
His movement still has a turning restriction, no matter how much you mess up with sensitivity settings. You can't, for example, rush through the boiler room on Badham freely with him, while Spirit can.

Now that you talk about Wraith. How is Spirit not a worse Wraith now? She is 4.4, both of them get a speed boost out of their power, and Wraith can move faster around the map and more stealthily. I don't really think that when in a chase she is any better than Wraith now.
Wraith has to spend 3 seconds uncloaking and you can see the shimmer when up close, Spirit instantly attacks and you'll only hear her footsteps.
-
Apart from the Spirit change, the entire update consists of killer buffs.

In exchange Blight can also see survivors.
@Alionis said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2513739#Comment_2513739
Blight is a 4.6 m/s killer, much faster than Spirit when using his power, and can see survivors at all times while using his power.
Spirit is a 4.4 m/s killer, much slower than Blight when using her power, and cannot see survivor at all when using her power, only hear, and that also just if the survivors aren't running Iron Will, which most are.
See the issue?
That survivors had to guess about Spirit using her power or not was the trade-off for the fact that she has to track them purely by scratch marks and sounds.
@vacaman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2513739#Comment_2513739
Oh yeah compare a killer with an insta rush, that lasts longer and is faster to a killer that has to charge his rush and can't see his enemies while he is rushing.
Spirit has no turning rate restriction, she can still freely maneuver 360 degrees without a penalty and still hear the survivors. It makes sense for her not to see the survivors because she's the only killer with a movement speed ability that controls it freely while also having a speed boost when coming out of it (well, Wraith does as well, but he has to uncloak).
-
Is Blight bad because you can see him rushing?
-
I just don't get why run Iron Grasp.

Tell that to the Spine Chill users.
And their chase times are good, but you have to account for all the awkward set up and staring to even activate the instadowns. It is not like they are some wildly efficient killers.
Spine Chill only tells you the killer is approaching, it doesn't tell the direction. I play a lot of Ghostface and Wraith and the amount of times survivors literally run into me is astonishing.
Never said they were efficient, I'm just against people who say holding W is automatic win, instead of admiting they are simply not good with those killers.

You mean Myers, Ghostface, Pig, Plague, yes, Trapper, Freddy, Bubba, Phead and maybe someone I´m forgetting? A significant portion of the roster is utterly helpless against shift+W. It´s kinda bonkers how lame and effective it is.
Myers, Ghostface and Pig are stealth killers, you can't hold W against someone you do not see coming. Myers and Ghostface can also instadown so they halve chase time.
Plague is a borderline instadown killer with her infection, and Corrupt Purge is a ranged.
Bubba instadowns, if you have Chilli + Beast Marks you can literally catch up to a Sprint Burst.
The other ones do suffer more against holding W, but Freddy compensates that with his teleport and Pyramid is amazing at tunneling.
-
Ngl it took me almost 30 seconds to see what was wrong with the picture.

It´s kinda crazy how prevalent hackers have become. For the past 1-2 weeks there is not a day of gaming without at least 1-2 blatantly obvious hackers.
There's something serious happening rn. I played for 2 years without encountering a single hacker and after Pinhead chapter it's not rare to encounter at least one everyday.
-
That's considering every killer is Trapper without traps and maps are just infinite flat lands like the Abyss on Dark Souls.
-
You got 28k points with a mediocre build on a good but not top tier killer. You didn't do as bad as you think. You don't need to 4k with a killer you just bought.
-
Dead Dawg has the worst by far. You have to break like 10 of them to make some tiles playable, and even then the main building is super strong.
Groaning Storehouse is another stupid one, because if survivors loop optimally it's faster to just vault the window than it is to go through the doorway you opened.
House of Pain for some reason has a breakable wall even though it was one of the strongest loops in the game already.
-
Survivor:
- Addons that don't let you lose your Key upon death or using it;
- BNPs should have a pre-requisite before being used, like idk escaping at least two chases;
- Make charge addons not stack with purple medkits. Medkits should not be able to heal you more than twice.
Killer:
- All Seeing Blood from Wraith;
- Recharge and range addons from Nurse should not be stackable;
- Tombstone Piece from Myers;
- Mint Rag and Rusty Shackles from Hag;
- Basically any addon from Pig that makes it easier for heads to pop;
- Basically all speed and duration addons from Spirit above yellow rariry;
- Scalped Topknot from Oni;
- Alchemist Ring, Compound 33 and Blighted Crow from Blight;
- Engineers Fang from Pinhead.

Stream some trials, from lobby to end screen, like 3 or 4 in a row with a different killer each. I'm curious.
When i see Otzdarva and OhTofu having 1k on a regular basis now, i doubt that 80% win is possible at top rank. As i have said, sure some of the players in the community don't consider them as great killers BUT still they are clearly stronger than 99% of the player.
For exemple, in Battlefield 1, i'm top 0,5%-0,8% in everything (K/D, SPM, Kills/game, Kills/min) and when i join a server, any server, no matter the skill level of my opponents, i end up in the top 3 with a 3+ K/D.
So if those streamers are part of the top 1% killers of DbD and often get 1K only while you see that survivors are mainly holding W to get the win, something is broken...
Sure, can stream later.

This goes both ways buddy:
survivors who think they lost if a single survivor died or think the game is unbalanced if the killer tries to win.
I mean you see it all the time on the forums let alone in game.
Yes, it goes both ways, but holy killer mains are crybabies. Kill rates were reaching the 70% and you see all the time people still crying about killers being too weak here.
Idk where you're seeing these things. Basically any post here on these forums that suggests anything good for survivors is immediately filled with "git gud" comments. I never saw any team complaining that they didn't get a 4 man out, but I see all the time killer mains posting pictures of 2k and 3ks like that's a horrible result.
-
Yeah, I agree, Myers fans are always doing things like
-
See ya next update.
-
This would take tons of code to work and makes no sense. There's no guarantee the survivor that is finishing a match is going to play another one.
-
Welp, @MandyTalk can you help us on what this IIS means?

Maybe they forgot to include it on the chapter release patchnotes? Or does IIS stand for something else and in the 3.2.2 patch it was whatever IIS is for the splash screen which is why they specified? Like if they specified fixing something with UI in your lobby v UI in game, they could say HUD (lobby).
Maybe it's the "searching for a match" screen? I remember that one really hurting the PS4 fans.

If you play on PS4, there is no way you are playing at high MMR as a killer, especially with nurse, blight and deathslinger... That would explain your 80% winrate. Continue to play and this win rate will drive you to high MMR where you will start to loose all your trials.
How is my MMR not high if I win 80% of my games? Lmao. I've literally been playing everyday since SBMM started. Stop being delusional. As I said again, improve.

What killers do you play ?
And i'm curious to see your trials, record them ?
Cause i don't believe you, i'm sorry.
All the trials i have are against duoQ/3Q and SWF. They all bring an item and have meta perks. If you play properly without camping/tunneling there is no way you have a 80% win rate unless you play nurse.
Mostly Ghostface, Wraith, Oni, Deathslinger, Nurse, Huntress, Blight and Doctor.
I can stream the game later and send it to you tomorrow.
I do have some cool moments on a compilation so you can see my playstyle and notice how I usually have lots of hooks before killing someone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rGmrBNKjZ4&t=3s&ab_channel=Jo%C3%A3oLima. Some matches I'm running more gen regression, but these were during the MMR tests where I thought I would need to run more of them, but now I dropped them again.
Edit: I'll check to see if I find some game of mine on the PS4.

2k is ok, fact is to get a 2k now you need to camp and tunnel.
The community is full of morons, totally full of it and if the developers give them a chance to abuse a dominant position (which is the case with survivor atm) they all do it.
What do we get atm in high MMR ? 4 survivors with full meta perks + full items (2 flashlights, 2 green toolboxes with extra charges and speed). That's how the game is.
And Killer mains should accept to play in these conditions ? Why would they ? Do you go to war with a shotgun when you have 4 tanks in front of you ? I don't think so.
You don't need to camp and tunnel to win. 80% of my matches are as killer and I have a kill rate of 70~80% rarely doing it (only when I need some pressure). Most of the time I get 3/4 BBQ stacks before hooking someone the 2nd time, and I only run a single gen regression perk (Corrupt Intervention).
Stop believing that every team is Seal Team Six and that you only lost because the game is unbalanced. Killer has never been so easy from when I started playing, you wouldn't care about flashlights and toolboxes anymore if you remember how they were back then. Improve.
-
Kill rate of 70%~80% here and I don't tunnel. Majority of my matches I get 3/4 BBQ stacks before hooking somebody the 2nd time.
