The fact that it's another thing that takes the killers time makes them unbalanced to add to the game
Yeah yeah, just like Breakout, For the People, Soul Guard and Power Struggle were going to be OP and make killers quit the game. I know, it's absurd that survivors get to have perks.
-
The only one I can think of is Make your Choice. For killers like Nurse, Spirit and Wraith who can come back to the hook in two seconds the tier 1 of the perk is better because they can quickly down the rescuer and have it off cooldown again for the next unhook.
-
"The perks we know next to nothing about will be op for sure"
-
My girlfriend doesn't understand anything about DBD but for some reason she really likes seeing me playing Spirit. She says she loves seeing her fingers twerking anytime she enters phase and the sounds she makes.

Good luck...took me forever to get the nurse adept on console🤣.
Huntress isnt as bad on console...there are worse such as trickster😭
I don't even bother with Trickster, he's not even a challenge because he simply doesn't work on controller.
-
I main Ghostface but I'm kind of on a Nurse and Huntress phase. I play on a controller on PS4 so it's a nice challenge to myself to get better at these two.
-
If Sprint Burst was activated on button what would be the purpose of Dead Hard? It would be like 10 times stronger.
-
Huntress, Bubba, Blight and Wraith.
-
I tried playing Billy today as well.
3 games:
- Haddonfield;
- Lery's;
- The Game.
After that I just went back to Nurse.
-
I think Huntress benefits more from Corrupt Intervention than Ruin. She's more of a snowball killer that struggles on the early game due to the hugh lullaby. I like using Nurse's Calling on her because she has a 20m TR and people don't really care about the lullaby.
There's not much tips I can give you about her power per se. It's a very mechanical skill that you need to adapt against survivors (are they the type that camps pallets or keep running?), so keep practising!
-
They seem rather balanced to me. Never saw one falling down or something, even that one on Dead Dawg Saloon.
-
Idk, after some point in my playtime I lost interest in killing/escaping, and I think it's way more fun to try and have a clutch save than staying AFK for 5 mins on M1 simulator. Kind of the devs fault for not doing something to prevent facecamp, not the survivors for not "punishing" it (from my experience camping killer never stop to camp just because survivors rushed gens).
-
My guess is that these players usually stayed around the lower ranks on the old system, but now they probably have high MMR due to always escaping, so they become more aparent for the majority of the playerbase.
-
I think I've never had a genuine game on that map. At least one person just gives up. I try to like that map as Ghostface main but even with him I never have a good time on it.
-
That's a next level yikes...

The game is one of the most vial examples of how clueless the devs are. It went from "slightly killer sided" against ultra noobs to one of the most safe maps in the game...
I find The Game to be a rather "balanced" map, although on the wrong way. Yeah, survivors have lots of pallets, but the map has barely any loops so they will have to burn through the resources pretty fast and it's a super easy map for gen control because you usually have 3 or 4 of them 10 seconds apart from each other. Although I don't really like it I would take The Game as killer over Badham, Mother's Dwelling, Haddonfield and Coldwind any day.
-
Badham and Cowshed are still super bad so I wouldn't have high hopes. The only maps that were slightly better after rework balance-wise were Ormond (less survivor sided) and The Game (less killer sided), and even then they balanced the Game the wrong way (adding tons of pallets instead of actual loops to promote gameplay).
I hope that after they finish The Realm Beyond they do another update like the one they did on the beginning of 2020 where they removed a lot of god windows and shrunk some maps.
-
No. The tracking is mediocre at best and it's not worth being a perk on its own, and a BP perk without any effect would be dumb (like old WGLF was).

He's actually way bigger on RE3R but I agree he looks kind of goofy on DBD.
-
Yup, Deathslinger and even Trickster have score events for long range shots, don't know why the only one who can consistently hit cross map hits doesn't.
-
They were clearly too ambitious with this map. The fact it stayed more time disabled than live should tell everything. Really disappointing that they took all the criticism of Midwich (although I really like that map, it was overall disliked when it came out) and made something 10 times worse. Hope the map from the next chapter will be better...
-
I love using Rusted Spike (the Sloppy addon) with Nurse's Calling. It's fun af to shoot a survivor that is almost finishing healing lol.
-
Because the game is clearly killer sided and survivors are leaving the game in mass /s.
Sometimes it's just the time of the day. Killer queues for me are instant during the night and I consider my MMR quite high (well I 4k 80% of my games, I doubt it's low).
-
This hat is just too good.

Kindred is a very good perk that i think just needs to be defaulted to help a variety of different players out and to encourage saves.
People who have Viktor though can still hop windows and loop you with a pallet. It should be that way but not having a penalty like hindered to go a long with it just makes you have hold of the power. Pinhead actually has a strength to people holding the box, Charlette gains minimal
Just don't chase the person holding Victor off. Twins are a territorial killer, just like Trapper and Hag, they are not exactly efficient if you play them on a chase focused playstyle.
-
If a survivor kidnaps Victor they are doing a favor to you. Unlike holding the box with Pinhead, a survivor holding Victor can't do gens or heal teammates. They hold the exact same value of a dead survivor.
Rank 1 killer and survivor here since 2019. Climbing my way to Iridescent on both. I find killer way easier to be creative with builds. The only slowdown I run is Corrupt Intervention on all my killers and it does enough for me to win 90% (around 75~80% after MMR) of my games, even if I mess with my 3 other perks.
Meanwhile as a solo survivor I feel way too constricted on builds. BT and DS are almost required because the killer can randomly decide he wants you out of the match in 3 minutes, Kindred is the only trace of efficiency you can have on solo and the other perk slot is the only one I feel free to mess with.
-
They really need to do something about the blink bug soon. I've been getting it way more often since Pinhead patch. I used to have it once or twice every 5 or so matches, now I literally have it happen every match, and sometimes multiple occasions.
-
I honestly wish BHVR would test making hooks behave like PH's Cages (teleport if killer stays X time too close) on a PTB. But I'd bet this forum and Reddit would go on Crusader mode so I doubt it would happen. Just look how people on the comments defend something that makes the game more unfun.
-
Ormond and RCPD are still almost unplayable as killer on PS4. All hitches which were fixed on the last update (Dead Hard, unhooking, healing) still remain on those maps.
-
-
Reject Ruin+Undying. Embrace Corrupt Intervention.
-
I study at med school 10~12 hours per day and I'm Bronze II already. It's not that hard, although I only sleep 5 hours per day lmao
-
I'm actually surprised because this is the 3rd chapter in a row that killers get decent perks. They are doing quite a good job on that department especially if you consider that 2020 killers had horrible perks (except old Undying, but that was busted).
-
It makes sense for Legion because it's pretty much a guaranteed hit. If anything Plague shouldn't lose hers.
But trying to apply logic here: Legion power recharges passively and Plague has utility in her power besides damaging and can hit over pallets. Oni's only power is Blood Fury and he can't hit over pallets, so he's not that hard to stun.
-
Imagine bringing a totem perk and getting tilted that survivors... did the totem.
-
I love Play with your Food. When you get those delicious 3 stacks it's amazing.
-
I personally don't think Hoarder on Pinhead is a problem, but people who complain about it do it because of the synergy, not the perk itself. It's the same reason people complained about Stridor Spirit or M&A Slinger and not about Stridor and M&A specifically.
-
Just a quick question: what do you expect to happen when you go into a match with one of the weakest killers while using 1 mediocre perk?
-
I'm addicted to it as well. The quality of life is just too much to pass out. If you're also on last gen consoles like me the extra FOV actually helps with the lower framerate.
-
DBD community seems to forget the side they are playing against is supposed to have fun too.
-
Play Nurse with the 1 blink addon and come say this again.
-
The only one who is horrendous to play is Trickster. Everyone else is fine imo.
-
If you're playing him on console I'm sorry to tell you but he simply doesn't work. He's so bad on a controller due to the lack of settings it's stupid. Just hope he receives some kind of change like the one they made with Blight.
-
@Crowman said:
This build really only works on small maps, because on large maps it's far easier to sneakily pick up the box outside of Hoarder range. You can also wait til Pinhead gets locked into an action to pick up the box and then run away.
Hoarder range is 64m. You can stand on the middle of Mother's Dwelling and it covers the entire map. The only chance to get out of range is if he goes into the corner of the map but that's super situational.
-
I don't know what happened but I'm pretty sure they have done something with Hillbilly collision. I was watching some old footage of mine playing him before the nerf and I was hitting chainsaws I am pretty sure I would not hit if I played him today, even though I'm miles better at killer now.

I disagree with a few placements.
Blight is simple. Only on console I can see him being difficult to play as his entire gameplay consists of rapid turning after bouncing off of stuff which is probably fairly hard to do on joysticks as opposed to M+K.
Other than that there's no depth to his power. Sure you slide off of things here and there but that doesn't make his power complicated or hard to use but rather inconsistent depending on the map.
Huntress would be difficult to play if it wasn't for her whale sized hitboxes. She was the 2nd killer I mained back in the day before Bubba was released. That was on XBOX One with incredibly terrible FPS (it didn't stutter and freeze back then if I remember correctly but the fps was generally very low in 2018 because grass and stuff had way higher resolution). Even then I found her easy and strong - and thus enjoyable to play.
I only played her once since I switched to Series X and got kinda bored of how simple her power is. You look at the survivor and throw. It's not like survivors can jump and dodge all over the place like in Hunters in Destiny 2 so I find Huntress quite beginner friendly to be honest.
I'm typing too much so I doubt anyone's gonna read my opinions on the other placements I disagree with.
Overall the list is ok-ish, though.
I actually agree with you, both Blight and Huntress have very simple powers which are probably very beginner friendly. However, as I said the tier list is based on the maximum potential you can get with a killer, so while a beginner Blight could use his power for mobility and deadzone hits and a Huntress could use her hatchets for close hits, you can't really expect these players to consistently hit flicks around circular loops or arch cross map hatchets without putting tons of hours into these killers.
I'll give another example with Nemesis. His attack is incredible tough to learn while you're learning him, I'd say he has a pretty high skill floor, but once you understand how the tentacle and its hitbox works, there's not much you can do from there. Same with Deathslinger, he's considerably harder than Huntress to learn, but his range limitation means his skill cap will be lower than Huntress.
-
@Shroompy said:
Hillbilly probably has the highest skill cap in the game, and Legion should definitely be higher up than D
I think overheat limits Billy a lot. Old Billy was S tier but now you can't feather anymore as good, and you basically need double engravings for some flicks so you're going to overheat even faster.
Imo the thing with Legion is that he has pretty much a guaranteed hit in Frenzy. His tracking has a sort of skill to it but I don't see it being higher. He cuts chases by half so he can't be above Freddy or Wraith. Maybe Myers is easier though.
@Sonzaishinai said:
I personally find nurse should be lower.
Always found her difficulty overrated, once you get the hang of blinks you're good to go.
The hardest part is learning to work around her bugs
As I said this is not a skill floor tier list. I agree with you Nurse isn't that hard to learn, but getting to the tier people call you "god Nurse" requires a lot of effort and dedication.
-
The worst thing is knowing he's basically a child. Creepy af.

@Sluzzy said:
Too sweaty. I don't see how any long-term killer will stick around facing non-stop genrush teams, all being cocky and teabagging. MMR has ruined the game for killers.
WHAT
-
He becomes what Legion always wanted to be. Can easily injure people on the 4v1 and has a decent 1v1.
