I don’t think I’ve ever seen a survivor DC or give up on hook when the survivors are winning. It makes no sense why they would. If it happens, maybe they have to quit/leave because something is happening offline.
I have.
I don't understand what kind of aberrant thought proccess went into "We're winning, I got hooked once, may as well die", but i've seen it happen.
Unfortunately.

There weren't that many messages, not that we can prove anyway. If there were, not much has changed. They, like you, can ignore his complaints and move on. Isn't that the commonly given solution? I'm just saying it's bad advice to tell someone they're not allowed to be mad. We learned this in Spider-Man 3. And please, how often does that scenario happen to survivor? You don't have to let your complaints be known to the other players, but you're also not obligated to stay silent.
"They, like you, can ignore his complaints and move on"
Man, you really like to say things without saying them. What do you want them to do, dude? Apologize to everyone they use them against? Take a sacred vow to not use them again? Tell everyone about the evils?
They have stuff, so they use stuff. There isn't malice or vengeance behind it, that's just what it is. It's the job of the developers to balance this stuff, and as much as I hate how ubiquitous Rivers of Blood is, i'm not gonna add every person who uses it on Steam so I can tell them how busted it is and they shouldn't use it.
And yeah. You can probably defuse someone ranting better with a soft touch. But sometimes, people really do just need to be told to calm the hell down and stop whining. I certainly have. I did a few days ago. I had a moment of weakness at this Elodie who got us all killed, and I was told to calm the hell down. And I felt properly ashamed, because I shouldn't feel validated when I have a moment of weakness.
Oh yeah, and I like the "Please, how often does that scenario happen to survivor"
I forget how these situations which might not be beneficial for survivors literally never happen to you ever period forever. Lucky.

They said, "Just stop b******", the most unsympathetic way they could have said it, so I don't have any reason to believe that they're sincere in that. You can see right through it.
Even if their intention wasn't to be toxic or anything, they're still running the strongest stuff, which means the killer couldn't do anything because Pinhead can't handle that level. He has every right to complain, because we know as of right now SWF breaks the game.
Y'all are trying to invalidate legitimate complaints, once again.
Can he complain about game balance? Absolutely. There was a total mismatch of power here.
Does that mean he should be ranting and ranting at people who didn't incite it? Do you do that? Are they supposed to sit there and politely nod as he fills 5 different chat boxes with how terrible and hopeless and against him the game is because he.. lost?
Because.. yeah, dude. Just stop b*****. At some point you need to be told that. They're not secretly snickering and villainously tenting their fingers because they decided to un-gently tell you to chill the hell out.
I didn't wait 'till the game was over to fill 10 chat boxes telling the double range awakened starstruck Nurse who just tunneled and camped me to death at 5 gens against my Solo team how unfair and terrible and hopeless everything is and I need to play in a comp 4 man to win a game ever again. I just left.
-
People who don't play this game for 7000 hours don't know the exact meta placements of every killer, unbelievable.

It certainly shouldn't be "GG WP!!!" after you get a 0k. OP got 3 hooks in his game. How is that WP? You think that's what someone wants to hear after they lose that badly? And I never say anything to my opponents after the game ever as killer, I just move on immediately
I feel like most people would like it if the people who destroyed them were gracious winners.
You may just be easily angered.

"Stop crying" said that 4-man Adrenaline squad. Some people just have no self-awareness.
You're playing a killer who's been nerfed unnecessarily, and whose alleged strength against bad solos puts a potential buff completely out of the question. I would just keep your expectations low so you're not as disappointed. There could have maybe been a way for you to beat that team, if you straight tunneled the whole way through, since there's no DS, but you'd have to chew through Off The Record every time and that's tough without the Original Pain. I would just think, "Well, that was unfair" and move on.
"Stop crying" said the 4-man adrenaline squad
I mean. Yeah?
The way it's framed and how he says they told him he did good, it looks like he was ranting for
a hot minute at people who were doing the opposite of BMing him. Yeah it's kinda weird how they decided to bring such a strong setup, but if they're not starting the postgame chat party, then yeah-- calm down and just play the game.

Your post game chat is pretty interesting. It reminds me when Ayrun and his SWF buddy were non stop flashlight saving and dunking on Otz on The Game and they're like "wow he's doing good pressuring!" even though they were clowning on Otz the entire time. ######### is annoying. I love when they message me gg wp after getting a 0k. That annoys me
..do you wish they were BMing you instead?

He stands before the podium. Gazing ahead at the countless watching eyes on him as they wait with baited breath.
He smiles. Betraying an air of confidence about him, posture straightened as he tightens his tie.
He leans in. The hushed whispers of the audience utterly silenced.
He takes a deep breath.
"ur bad lol"
UPROARIOUS APPLAUSE FROM THE AUDIENCE AS CHEERLEADERS CARRY HIM TO HIS TURBOMANSION

Last survivor match I played saw me tunneled off the hook and camped to death by a Nurse who must have been very intimidated by all the nothing I did that game.
When I finally died, a single gen popped. Down to 4.
It's fun, ain't it?

That sounds more like a bug than an intentional design
No no, it was very deliberate. You'd get an in-game message telling you to go ######### yourself for using party chat and kick you to the main menu.

It's been confirmed multiple times that you are allowed to use comms. It's not breaking any rules.
What would they do for console? Ban people from party chats?
Dark Souls did use to kick you into offline mode if you went into a party chat while in-game.
I don't know why they did that, but they did. Though that was two generations ago.

He just absolutely, 100%, completely refused to hook until the gates were almost open.

Oh I didn't know that. They must not have added a stun window in the animation since it's automatic.
I mean, I haven't tested it or anything, so I could just be mistaken. But I've never even started to get blinded in the middle of a grab.

Hag.
I played exactly ONE (1) [I] game with Hag to get the adept, and then never again.

As you improve at killer, you'll learn to love flashlights.
Flashlights draw in especially cocky survivors who'll happily throw the game for themselves just to get a single sick flashlight save. When you learn to exploit this cockiness, you'll find that flashlights might be actively worse than bringing nothing for the survivors.
But yes, I can agree with not being able to spam the flashlight.

BHVR told us boosting base killer features slows down camping & tunneling & gen slowdown stacking so you’re wrong…
It does, or it has? How could they measure that? When did they ever tell us that? Gen slowdown stacking is still the best thing to bring, it's just different perks now. Ruindyingtinkeresonance is now call of brine eruption pain resonance.

Perhaps if gens individually took 120+ seconds killers wouldn’t think they had to camp, tunnel, or stack slowdown perks anymore.
Making an effective strategy even more effective will result in it being done much more.
Because people like winning.

The first one is funny mainly because I can run around with a cheeseburger.
The second one seems a bit pointless since it requires a killer to actually missing a basic attack. Plus, stunning the killer for 5 seconds isn't the best of the ideas (3 seconds is ok, 5 is a bit too much).
Third one is ok. It gives you an extra objective with extra reward. Nothing to argue with that.
Regarding cosmetics: I'm not really a fan of them since I never buy them so I'm not the right person to judge here.
Nah, Unyielding Spirit would be bad even with a 7 second stun. 4/3 protection hits/unhooks, AND the killer has to miss a swing, AND you have to be right next to them to hit them? It would never happen.
BUT, it would be absolutely hilarious to just straight-up deck the killer. So it would be amazing.

U got it wrong, I think the game is in the healthiest state its have ever being, and I play it since piramid head release. I'm just warning the situation since no one is talking about this.
That is in fact the exact opinion I have of the game right now.
-
I don't know why people instantly go to "this just goes to show you how bad the game is getting" when someone who's been playing for 5 years decides they want a break.
You know what would make me want to take a break from a game?
Playing it for 5 goddamn years.

His addons also require a fair amount of time to charge up. Aka someone who feeds him.
Are his addons strong? Absolutely! And i wish we had more killers with a addon variety like Myers.
In regard, if that addon needs to be toned down. There don´t seem to be particuarly many Myers out there, insta killing survivors. At least i can´t remember the last time, i´ve faced one. What i see however, are a lot of players with varying nicknames that ask to be moried by Myers.
So is it really an issue, if you get that once or twice per year?
People may be talking about it, but I've only seen it once or twice. Me being an outlier is impossible, so how could it really be happening?

I used to be that way, but it happens so often now, heck I even made a post here on these forums asking why they do it, and mostly all amounted the the same thing... They don't like your playstyle, they are punishing you for playing in a way they don't like. So you need to get over your conscience and do your job as killer. I know its hard, it was for me. Heck, I still can't bring myself to tunnel or camp, even at end game. But a DC to me is just an easy kill. Don't let them "punish" you.
I don't care about what Mr. baby quitter DCer thinks about me or my playstyle, I care about the poor guys who were unfortunate enough to have him as a teammate.
I've been there, man. A lot. Watching someone DC less than a minute in and wonder why the hell I even queued up. Usually it ends with us being slaughtered like normal. I watched the last guy almost get out once, only to get mori'd directly in front of the exit.
It's rough. I have no choice but to sympathize.

While thats certainly true, it also makes it harder to change minds, when they have incomplete data they can use as a tool to try to warp things to their perspective. Its kinda like enabling a bad habit.
If I'm gonna throw out a bit of a hot take-- almost no one here will change their mind to begin with. About miniscule things, maybe, but larger things are set in stone. Doesn't matter how much "evidence", good or otherwise, is presented.
It's probably a little too cynical to say, but people are on forums for validation, not discourse.

Good intentions but as you know if you were on the forums that day it just lead to a bunch of people feeling uber justified in themselves and complaining using these stats as "evidence" for their claims. Almost as bad as people calling the BP bonus mainly being on survivors "evidence"
Eh. I'll go out on a limb and say 99% of those people already held those opinions, they just wanted something to point to to be loud about it.
It didn't really change many minds. It just made a couple people more annoying.

It’s fun to play some perkless addonless killer.
Just base kit and that’s it makes for interesting games.
Also fun to do raw survivor, you’ve got your wits and wherever you can find in game to help. It’s great.
All my survivor perks (except Empathy, maybe?) are geared around healing and unhooking other survivors, so that's basically my survivor games.

How is it fair that survivors are consistently rewarded twice what killers are when we have to work twice as hard?
Ohhh. See, now I know what your actual problem here is.
That clears things up.
-
But it IS fair. It's entire purpose is to encourage more people to play the role that needs people. Survivors need people. So they get the incentive.
If/when killers need people, they'll get the incentive. Because they need people.
You're asking for several days of killer queues being even worse, and frankly, I don't want the help right now.
