I have no idea what's got your tizzy tumbling, but you're fun to talk to.
Have a good rest of your night.

The fact that self care is being run a lot seems to suggest the data is filled with inexperienced players. Yet, back in the day when we had ‘good’ data we learned red rank players were running self care more often that the average player would think. So… what does this data really mean? Who tf knows.
Who knows?
Who cares?
It's fun to see and speculate about. It's not gonna shake up the way we see the game, it's just interesting. Even if it's useless.

Sorry but is this defending them? “It wasn’t meant to be useful”. Releasing bad data is bad. Good companies don’t do it. Ever hear the phrase “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing”? It makes people think they have something to talk about when they actually don’t.
You say it's bad data because it doesn't fill in the missing quotient of your grandiloquent equation of the True™ Statistics®.
I say it's good data because I think it's funny how much Self Care is being run.
Maybe you need to step back from the chalk board.
-
They weren't making a statement by releasing the data. It wasn't meant to be useful or have something big taken out of it, it was just so people could see some stats, because people like seeing stats.
-
Some players want to kick while they're down and get angry when they can't.
This is a universal thing.
-
It doesn't matter how bad it is, the starchiest potatoes are running it and they're a number so the perk must be destroyed.
CoH is fine though.
-
I remember watching a Demogorgon build with Territorial and Make your Choice where, as soon as someone enters the basement, he put a portal below himself and teleported to the stairs to hit the person with Make Your Choice.
Rinse, repeat.
It was pretty brutal.
-
Oh no, they made something I bought for $10 obtainable via like 100 hours worth of shards.
-
As the Plague, hit two survivors with a single discharge of your Corrupt Purge. Do this twice.
Remember when that was a level two challenge?
BHVR loves encouraging farmers.
-
But how can I function without your respect?
-
Oh, you need to stun the killer, do ya?
Nurse. Nemesis. Huntress.
Have fun.
-
I don't think anyone actually thinks all their teammates are potatoes and they're the one god amongst men every time (and if they do, KINDA weird).
I've definitely had my fair share of teammates who make me look like the potato throwing the match. And sometimes I actually really am.
But boy, when I notice a bad team, I really notice.

Any man who mains the Greatsword exclusively is a man I respect with all my heart
13 years and counting.
-
Huntress.
I need a hunting buddy.
-
Why does he keep getting disconnected?
-
Good question.
Do we ride or die like a team? Sure do.
Do we get the tools to act like one? Does the game itself care if our team escapes as long as we do? Sure don't.
BHVR can't make up its mind about it because that would be awkward and take some effort to rectify. Better to enjoy this tasty tasty cake that never goes away when we eat it.
-
I don't take ANY items into solo queue.
That's what chests are for.
-
The fact that I still end up being well over half the collective brain of most of my solo queue teams has to tell you something.
-
I mean, you CAN stop there.
You absolutely can.
Nothing wrong with stopping there.
Perfectly valid to stop there.

I see...
So if I make a suggestion, it gets ignored.
But if others make the same suggestion, they get upvotes.
Got it.
Upvotes are in contention for the most worthless form of social interaction, bud.
You get 90% of them for saying something funny or something obvious in a funny way.
-
Why don't we swap its aura reading time with the Skeleton Key?
And, if you find it in a chest, make it spawn with an addon.
So if it's only gonna be able to read auras and require an addon to do it, it better damn well be the best at it.
-
I'll go make some garlic bread bites.
-
All of them at once.
Either I win and become the uncontested champion of everything or I go down a legend.
-
Good 'ol Shelter Woods just being its best self.
-
The one risk of running Empathy is watching someone run to a corner and Self Care.
With 2 stacks of Pentimento.
And Sloppy.
Twice.
-
Okay, that answers that.
Have a good night.

I don't think teleporting to TVs should even have a cooldown.
TVs should only turn off if Survivors turn them off, but the time turned off should be higher than it is for them now.
Then, you just make Condemned build up passively without the tape, then give the TP condemnation when the survivor is holding the tape.
Then do something else I can't think about and voila, decent killer.

What seems to be the issue here?
Old DH = you move this .... far and don´t get hit. Possibly reaching a pallet that is close.
New DH = you get hit, enter endurance state and move this ....................................................... far. Reaching a pallet thats further away but having to mend at a later point.
Getting hit but not downed is more beneficial than simply a missed hit. Since you get speed bonus, run further and killer gets slowed down because of the hit anymation.
Dead Hard for distance. Where you would be about to beat a survivor to a window/pallet, except he Dead Hards pre-emptively to use the dash to make it to something he otherwise wouldn't have. The reason everyone, as in everyone, as in every single person, would scoff whenever anyone said the patently stupid "Just bait it out". The thing everyone hated most about Dead Hard since forever, every single person would mention it in the dozens of Dead Hard threads.
Like.. you know this existed. Everyone did. And now you can't do it anymore, you don't dash and you're locked in the animation for longer than the Endurance lasts.
Was it suddenly not a problem and never actually existed now that it's been fixed? Am I being gaslit right now? What's happening?

Yeah... instead of getting 1 meter of distance and not mending. You now get 15 meters of distance and mending. You now get to a further away pallet with it.
..are you intentionally misunderstanding or am I having an age-induced dyslexia fit and i've been typing in gibberish this whole time?

@IlliterateGenocide said:
i dont think you would be able to, i just assumed it would just injure you like slapping you at a pallet/vault
He did a normal hook grab on me while he had the Uroboros tendrils out.
I'm just curious if he can do what Old Doctor did and grab you with his power out.

Since you get additional distance then just the meter from the old DH. Uhh yes?
No, I mean like.
Dead Hard for distance where they make it to a loop you would have beaten them to and there was nothing you could do about it.
We didn't forget that was a thing, right?

Actually i think that the new one is stronger. Old one was hit E and either the killer got a miss or the survivor reached the pallet through the small boost.
With the new one you get hit and have to mend. BUT the killer also has the full hit/cleanse weapon animation. While the survivor gets the on hit speed boost, which gets him more distance than the old DH gave.
Does that make up for losing Dead Hard for distance?
-
It's 10 seconds.
-
Wonder when they'll fix the game's core issues so people with slightly higher self-respect than us can get into it too.

Can't regret buying skins if I never buy any.

The devs should have known that adding a mere 10 seconds to the gens wasn't going to make the current gen regression perks OP. I get that they wanted to shake up the meta, but they made pretty much every top killer perk a shadow of its former self, and the top survivor perks are still in use because they weren't destroyed like the killer ones. Gen regression is still dead, and second chance spam is still alive.
Gen regression is dead?
Pop was nerfed and Ruin was.. well. But I doubt you've missed all the people getting some good mileage out of the like 10 other regression/slowdown perks that were buffed. It wasn't literally just ruin and pop.
It's like a survivor coming up and yelling SURVIVOR IS UNPLAYABLE after Dead Hard was nerfed.
-
Nice.
-
Whether they're broken or not, they just blow to go against.
You don't do anything the entire match unless you're about to be instantly left-clicked out of the match.
-
Nope. DH's perfect how it is now-- rewarding done right, punishing done wrong, locks you in the animation an extra half second so you can't guarantee a pallet or window.
-
I love when bandaid fix perks are stuffed behind auric cell paywalls.
-
Please let them stack, I love flashlight squads and watching them embarrass themselves.

That's...even easier, literally something everyone does every game, but that Myers one is just a nightmare because it's just a petty "haha here's a middle finger"
No, man, like.
You have to be the last survivor alive, THEN finish the final gen, then open the exit gate, then escape.
-
Oh, and side Empathy benefit I forgot:
Knowing where NOT to go if you're being chased. I hate accidentally running into teammates in the middle of a chase, and injured teammates are especially screwed when you blunder next to their gen.
But with Empathy, you can path out your route early to avoid catching teammates who need the attention the least in the crossfire.

Empathy is still unlimited Range. Because no Map is big enough at any point to not see the other Survivor with Empathy. They just made the Range consistent at some point with other Perks, because they all display the exact meters.
@Topic:
Personally, I think that Empathy is not that good. It is way better than many other Perks in the game, but I dont really see the reason to use it when Bond exists. Yes, Bond is a lower Range, but do you really need map-wide Range?
You bet I need map-wide range.
Being able to basically track the killer at any point on the map is more useful than you think.
-
Feel dumb?
-
Nope.
You can just hook them. Not having Evil Incarnate doesn't affect anything other than your pride, and being upset that they aren't dying the way you want them to is, literally, entitlement.
It's an achievement. Achieve it.

Again: You can not force people to play a game they don't wanna play.
Even if someone like you trolls a discouraged player they will still give up whenever they feel like the match is a waste of time.
I can't force them to stay, but I can make ragequitting as much of a long and grueling process as possible.
