I'm not a killer main, but i'd rate it like. a 7-8.
Maps are most of what's holding back the last 2-3 points.
-
This code came in just as I ran out of BP to get Call of Brine on Wesker.
Thanks for the save, BHVR.
-
Man, I don't want the nurses having even more recharge and range than they already do.
-
I'd really just like it if they removed the self heal aspect entirely, but buffed the speed bonus back up to 100% and revealed the aura of injured teammates inside the radius to other teammates.

Did I want to block them for 10 minutes? ######### no, that was the choice of the other 3 survivors. I would have been happy with them opening the gate after 1 minute because that meant I would get to move on to a properly fair match. They dragged the game out, not me.
No, seriously. I'm still confused by the reasoning.
And.. I don't think you can park the dumpy in front of the survivor specifically to bodyblock them and then claim you had nothing to do with the game dragging out. You're at the very least the starting point.
I mean, you were clearly banking on everyone else just leaving. They want their friend out, obviously, so they want to see if you'll give up. It's at least a 50/50 fault, but 100% bodyblocking.

Fair, but they had also been given the chance to play proper just like everyone else, hell they walked away with more points then I did. They did gens, they got chased, hooked, just like the other 3. It's only when that last gen popped and a gate was being opened right next to us that I switched gears blocking them into the corner they accidentally ran into.
Like.. what's the reasoning, they got to play the game for 10 minutes so you get to block them for 10 minutes?
There's arguments to be made, but I really don't think this one's it.

We should be able to push around survivors in them.
Steer it like a Billy charge, if it impacts any wall the survivor in the stroller tumbles out and goes into the dying state.
-
Dreamland, I can only assume.
I don't know if it's just me being.. me or not, but once I fall asleep and hear him coming, I feel almost guaranteed to run directly into him by accident. Everything being white and having the lullaby instead of the terror radius is really disorientating.

Almost got my hopes up.

Actually latest patch they have it so have 1 hour (or 5 minutes once the EGC has started) the game will end, sacrificing all survivors and ending the match. So, the longest any game can ever go for now is 1 hour, even if hackers are trying to keep it open (allegedly, as this was the reason this change was made... I've not seen a recent streamer being held hostage to test it, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time if it hasn't happened already.)
Wait, what? Where did they announce that?
-
Congrats.
In an ideal world, tunneling is both unviable and unnecessary.

You're not in the wrong, and even if you were, you'd have been completely vindicated by their response.

The killer's objective is to prevent the survivors from escaping, letting them do the generators while another survivor leads you to the killer shack is not going to help you do that.
The game doesn't end if you 'prevent the survivors from escaping' for 3 hours, I really don't think that's their job more than killing them is.
-
@Reinami said:
Ridiculous idea. The killer's job is to prevent the survivors from doing generators.
If a survivor immediately bolts from a gen as soon as the terror radius goes and runs to the house of pain, i have no obligation to chase that survivor. If anything, the survivors are holding the game hostage by not completing their objective.
I thought the killer's job was to kill survivors.
I don't really understand this thought process of "why would you ever commit to a chase from your eternal 3 gen and risk anything? That would be silly" immediately followed by "the survivors are holding the game hostage by not suiciding on the gens to try and finish them if the killer literally won't down them otherwise".
Like, holding an eternal 3-gen for 50 minutes is 'smart and effective play', but survivors not literally killing themselves to do some gen work and.. surviving is disgusting hostage taking.
-
Remember, stats mean nothing. Unless they confirm what I think.
-
Schüt good
-
I think map RNG just needs to be exterminated.
-
It doesn't last until the end of the universe, so it isn't considered holding hostage.

They are not wrong, I played around the Danganronpa crossover and every single killer camped. But it is legit required and I don't know how people find that fun
And there is like no anti tunneling so if somehow you get off the chair you get knocked back down.
I'm starting to remember why I forgot about IdentityV.
-
I think Wesker is definitely an A tier killer. He's mobile, he has a high skill ceiling, and he has natural slowdown just by using his power.
Dredge, assuming map generation doesn't screw him, I think is also pretty damn good. I don't think I've seen anyone play him at what I feel like is his ceiling, so it's hard to say.

IdentityV made by the same people who are making that new version of DBD mobile.
All there games are Gacha crap.
The only way I've heard it described is that every killer camps, and the best killer is the best at camping.
The person said it like a positive.
Which is terrifying.

Dragon Ball Breakers was so disappointing. Pay for the game only to get hit with a pay to win gacha system stacked with a battle pass system.
Come on. Friday the 13th got dunked on by the cutoff of dev support and the lawsuits, Mercenaries got destroyed because of Capcom's 'pay to level' system and cheaters, Evil Dead went EGS exclusive, VHS seemed to have zero actual lasting power, Home Sweet Home Survive was a glitchy unpolished and non localized mess, and now we have Dragon Ball Breakers which just stacked monetization schemes and considered the gameplay as ancillary rather than the entire damn point.
Now on to the next Asymmetrical Horror announcement to get hype for that will crush my dreams.
Not to mention.. hell, what was that one Asym phone game? The one that basically just.. looked exactly like mobile DbD?
I can't even remember that one's name.

Dying with 863 points really means that you haven't been able to run forward by trying to lose line of sight with her.
A very good huntress can close a chase in 5 of less seconds tho. It depends also on the map.
It means i'm cursed by an eldritch horror to have literally every bad thing possible happen during a Huntress game.
She always comes near my area 5 seconds after I spawn. I always try to stealth, but it literally doesn't matter because as soon as I turn any corner she's right there. I always go down instantly because every pallet in the area despawns and she never misses. I'm always unhooked right as she starts coming back and, shocker, she goes after me. With no DS. And often I hit stage 2 on the hook.
This is every single time lately.

Yes but this adapt thing just seems like a salty come back instead of any form of discussion. You might as well not say anything. Pain res probably does need a nerf. IDC about dh myself because I play blight and bait it out easily, but you can understand why most people who hate it when there is no counter play at pallets when played properly. When a perk is Used at high mmr more often than any other perk it's probably due for a change yet again. Though I doubt they will.
That's the problem with using "adapt" or "get good" as some sort of universal put-down: eventually, it really is going to be the correct answer, but people are just gonna ignore it.
Not every "adapt" is valid. But neither is every complaint. There's nuance, folks.

I gave my personal experience from observation. Why do players we encounter consecutively say “Gg” only when they win, but not when they lose? Why do you have so many players in general say it when they win, but so few in general say it when they lose? What does that tell us? It’s b.s. I don’t find that genuine. Then you have the trolls who attached it to “ggez,” further diluting what was supposed to be a display of sportsmanship. If “gg” is truly sportsmanlike, then everyone would be saying it regardless of winning or losing, but thats not the case. There’s a large disparity between the two.
Even if this is considered trivial, I’m still going to call bullshit on it. And I already stated for the record that there are people who really are genuine about it- they just appear to be in the minority. Now if someone reads this and is one of the person’s I mentioned above who mostly say it when they win and barely (if any) when they lose, and get offended- I don’t know what to tell you…
Well, you're free to keep doing that. But I don't think 98% of people are putting half as much thought into it as you are.

I think there’s something going on with newly made accounts. I’ve heard multiple people making this same mistake say the thread appeared on the front page for them. I’d probably make that mistake too if that was the case.
Okay, but at SOME point you have to see a date by accident, right? Or in your peripheral vision. How hard is it to miss the 2020?

@KerJuice said:
It’s rare for me to get a “gg” from the opposition when they lose- in this game or any other game for that matter. Get a ton of it when the opposition wins, however. That’s why when ppl say “gg,” I don’t take it as genuine. It’s a farce. I think a lot of people (not all) say it to rub it in that they won, or pretend they are sportsmanlike. Take Overwatch 1 for example- I could play against the same person 3 times in a row, and the first two times they win, they type “gg” in the chat. Even if they obviously stomped my team. Que up to go against that same person a third time and they lose? They leave as soon as the defeat screen shows up on their end (Victory on my team’s end) without so much as a peep. Or the one’s who do stay don’t have anything to say. That’s when I type “what, no ‘gg’ this time Toxicboi69 when you lose??”
I’ve seen/had this scenario play out too many times, giving confirmation to my theory that “gg” is being fake and it’s just plain better not to say anything at all when you win, if you truly want to be sportsmanlike. Now don’t get me wrong, I recognize there are legit players who mean it when they type it, but they’re unfortunately in the minority IMO. The only true “gg” are from losing players who are not being facetious/salty because of how the opposition played. Survivors who type “baby killer/tunnel/camp welp gg” obviously are not being sportsmanlike. A simple “ggwp” from a survivor to a killer who turned a losing game around at the end with smart play/tactics however, is a sign of respect and sportsmanship.
Think you're reading too much into it.
Most people either give or receive a GG as a sign of sportsmanship and haven't started to psychoanalyze the people who say it.
-
Almost every time it's either GGs or silence.
-
Is it too extreme to ban these psychos who go looking up years old posts just to respond to them?
2020, dude. It's right there. Did you miss it? The window of opportunity has passed.
-
What
-
Yup yup.
I think most players do, it's just far from an even split.
-
Nurse has the same problem Dead Hard has. The concept was iffy to begin with, but now it's too established to just get rid of entirely.
A killer that teleports through everything in a game where putting things between you and the killer is your only defense? Mmmmmmmhshjjhsure, why not?
-
People like to BM in video games.
This one ain't an exception.
-
Yeah, I don't get it.
If the other side didn't BM, playing the game isn't a personal slight.
I got my one and only death threat I've ever gotten in DbD today-- because two of my teammates were running the Deathslinger around really well. They were definitely a little cocky, but they weren't BMing, I was watching basically the entire time.
He wasn't even doing that bad, he had like 6 hooks at the last gen. But he DC'd and went on a tirade until chat disconnected about us deserving to have at least one lethal accident.
99% of people playing this game have a tiny fuse.
-
FNAF.
Just to see the implosion that follows.

Well then that's sort of your fault for not protecting the gens near the lockers. You can run pretty much any build on him but I find information perks / builds to help so much for utilizing his mobility. He can also do gen defense very well; and it plays into his strengths of draining an area of resources (locks+pallets). Or you can just use his lock-busting addon and chase people without caring about gens or securing an area.
Ideally you want hits like that. Those hits are really only enabled by wallhacks perks or the lavalier microphone. My strategy with the microphone is to hook someone, burn all 3 tokens for map-wide wallhacks, then go cut someone off by teleporting to a locker in front of them. Or a lot of the time you may notice someone out of position and go harass them instead. Or maybe a wounded person on a gen? His omni-presence is so good that it's almost always worth running Lethal Pursuer and Darkness Revealed / Microphone
Okay, but you have to admit that it's sort of weird that such a giant part of the map is completely devoid of lockers. Like, entirely. Just a whole quarter, empty.
Map generation has been known to be cursed from time to time.

@Hensen2100 said:
Take everything I say with a grain of salt because I am a Dredge main, but it's my favorite map.
I like all indoor map and play them whenever I can, as both killer and survivor. I got them all memorized inside and out, and have no problems finding anything.
But Lery's has a soft spot because it's the "OG" indoor map that I have played for years. It also has potentially the most consistent and strong basement spawn of any map in the game. The main room basement is just absolutely brutal and so many games on Lery's end with a chain of survivors being fed into it no matter what killer I am playing
The close quarters, uncertainty of the tiles, uncertainty of the killers location, etc etc can lead to some of the most dynamic chases available in DBD
The last time I played Dredge at Lery's, an entire quarter of the map around the last gen had basically no lockers near it.
I dunno, it could be a good map, i'm just cursed by the Gods to suffer if I ever dare try to play it.
-
I like what they had going with the buildup, and then it just becomes Doctor's theme at double speed and it doesn't match at all.
It's not great when the only thing I can compare it to is Doctor's theme.
-
Slow day, eh?
-
I imagine that's what would happen after 1500 hours in a game, yeah.
-
The format is incredibly limited. There's not a whole lot they can do that they haven't already done.
-
But could you imagine?
Shaggy runs into a locker, Michael opens it, and finds nothing because Shaggy popped out of a completely different locker 20 meters away?
-
I wish it was unviable AND unnecessary, but as long as it's not done to be a prick, a strat's a strat.
