What if I told you that 100 percent BP isn't going to be enough to stop people from playing as Wesker. You can either play survivor and get some extra BP or you can wait in Queue for a long long time.
I know which one I'm doing and it isn't earning BP.
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
Can hope!

What percentage of matches YOU had has it happened? What percentage of overall matches? Matchbreaking is not the same as gamebreaking.
Also depends if the killer can activate it at will, or if it just happens when the moon is full and the wind blows from the west while clouds shaped like ancient gods roll over the sky.
Because, you seem to refer to one instant. But is i said, i dont know about it. It might be gamebreaking, but your answer to me doesnt give any clue of if it is.
From what it sounds like, it can be done at will and has been.
And.. what does that mean? "Matchbreaking is not the same as gamebreaking" The match IS the game, dude. They should fix exploits where certain killers can literally, and I mean literally literally, stop you from engaging with a core aspect of the game BEFORE it becomes a well-known plague.

OR maybe they use it for actual gamebreaking issues, like it is designed for. A lot of thinks i see people ask to be killswitched are not such issues. I dont know about these bugs to be honest, maybe they are gamebreaking, but maybe they are not.
She is completely preventing me from interacting with a core part of the game and there's literally nothing I can do about it.
That's not gamebreaking?

I'm excited for BP incentives to return.
I can play killer again!

It's common sense to me, but I know that others won't see it that way. It is my opinion, not exactly fact, although I've used facts to justify what I've said. I was feeling somewhat confident in making an actual post after a long time, but seeing how little constructive criticism I'm getting, I think I'll stop putting my ideas out there, because it always results in this.
Okay, look, dude, it's a mistake to expect nothing but constructive criticism from a forum.
But you don't exactly create your posts on the fulcrum of neutrality and rejection of biases. You're pretty clear about which team you're rooting for, and you're frankly.. look, dude, I don't know how to politely put this, whiny about it. That's honestly the worst part. Even if I do agree with you, and I can agree with some things, the way you express it I feel like I have to disagree out of pithy annoyance. And you can't deny that it's hard to give constructive feedback when your alignment is aggressive killer and every other sentence has a jab sneaked in.
-
Oh boy, here comes An Opinion™.
-
I run BT and I STILL take hits for the guy I unhooked.
-
But the devs made an interpretational nerf to one thing I like that they overwhelmingly buffed otherwise, therefore the devs are secretly trying to kill me via stress-induced heart palpitations for being a [SIDE] main.
-
No amount of perk nerfs is ever going to make Nurse balanced.
We should just accept that getting our heads stomped to paste and getting our heads stomped to paste with spikes is gonna have the same result and let other killers have perks already.
-
I can already hear the sad music that plays in your head when you queue up for Killer.

I called it AGAIN

The obvious flaw with your terrible anecdote is that one does not always have a flashlight with which to burn nurse. However you always have access to the box and it's attendant counterplay. If you hate it that bad snatch it and sit in a locker all game.
And you know what? While I'm at it that pinhead played skillfully. Knowing where the box is gonna be at all times and getting to it reliably is no mean feat. He played well and was rewarded for it. Sorry you and your team weren't up to the task. GG next instead of throwing a fit and demanding nerds.
You are really weirdly aggressive about this.
-
Solo is expected to coordinate like a team without being given the tools to do so.
Yes, you can't make people cooperate or coordinate, but you can put the tools to in the hands of the people who do want to. And eventually, hopefully, you can make these people see that it really does pay off to put in the effort and actually try. You'd be surprised how many people actually do want to give it a shot.
Everyone's already said it, but just give status icons for what people are doing at that moment. Then you don't have to wonder what the hell Dwight and Jane are doing-- he's on a gen and she's in a locker, so you should probably go for that save. Less three people or 0 people running to a hook, more informed decision making.
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
Hooks spawn in groups of three when you're holding the box. One. Two. Three. Solve. That easy. Learn how to play against something before you demand nerfs.
That's what people keep saying, but I swear to god that's almost never what actually happens.
Guessing which hook it actually ends on feels more like russian roulette, except every chamber but one has a hook in it.
-
Literally as I type a post about this exact same thing.
We know what the most efficient way to win is, dude. It's just really lame for everyone involved. You don't need to ready the siege defenses every time someone says the word "tunneling".
-
Why the hell does every person who makes a post like this do it in this red-pilling tone like they just caught lightning with a kite and need to throw some hard truths at you no one's realized before?
Don't worry, dude. We know. You don't need to defend how you get your wins. It's just lame.
-
You're like the reverse Sluzzy, except you're not funny.
-
Mostly out of spite.
-
And here comes the Cult of Freddy.
-
I think gorillas make everything better, so.
-
It's his birthday today, cake and ice cream is on its way.
-
Depends on how cute the last survivor is.
-
I care less about the result and more about how I got to it.
I've had terrible wins and amazing losses.
-
I can't prove you're not self-caring, and that's not a chance i'm willing to take.

30 sec probably isn't enough time to find and pick up everyone if you've got a good 4x slug going. Especially if you have to wait out a DS timer before you start picking people up.
I don't think 4 mins is a bad amount of time. I realise smart phones and instant gratification have rendered people's ability to wait for even a nanosecond completely void but its really not the end of the world scenario people make it out to be.
The harsh truth is that players aren't obligated to do anything out of good faith for another player. If its within the confines of the rules then its a possible outcome from play. A pretty thematic one at that.
Okay, but like. Are we not allowed to minimize the abuse scenarios? At all? I understand you're a badass and don't care if you get bled out 10 games in a row, but I feel like there's answers to this problem that aren't "suck it up, whiners, I'm not complaining".
-
@pseudechis said:
Did they say post game that they did it to punish you because they were angry or are you just making assumptions about other players because you don’t like the bleed out mechanic?
It’s not a hostage scenario it’s a 4 min bleed out timer. It’ll end. It has a timer so it won’t become a hostage scenario.
I don't feel like intentionally bleeding out an entire team is something that's done in good faith very often.
But yeah. If everyone is down and there's no way to get back up, reveal every downed survivor's aura and let them bleed out 10 times faster after 30 seconds. At least it'll end faster that way.
-
I mean, it's something.
-
Not at all.
But my babysitting job definitely did get more stressful.
-
I mean, if they're DHing correctly, you couldn't have noticed it before you were already committing to a swing anyway.

See above.

A is exactly what I've been asking for but most don't see it. Problem is they don't even use the most popular aspects and then tone them down. They just take random powers and not the iconic ones. I don't know why it's so hard to understand.
I feel like if you constantly, every single time, give people the opposite impression of what you're actually trying to say, you're not as clear as you think you are.

Well sorry but I do care.
Has a knife for no good reason, has tentacles in his normal form, where is his awesome Sprint? Oh right I forgot they did the exact same things with Nemesis where it's just his animation but this time it looks even worse. He looks like The Idiot. Not The Mastermind when he walks/runs around.
Well again, DO NOT USE WESKER AND NEMESIS. If they aren't willing to put in a perfectly fitting rocket launcher if they are willing to put in literal grenades, then don't use the character which severely limits our options. We should've just gotten Mr. X although they'd give him a sledgehammer or something dumb.
Hmm, as a company do I
A: Bring over the popular licensed character and tone down some aspects of them to better fit into their new environment
B: Throw all that money away because I can't Ctrl+C them directly from their source material and I would rather commit Seppuku in shame than disrespect these fictional characters

Bhvr should really make a tooltip for that. People are used being told what to do instead of figuring it out
I swear that the waves either reset or just don't end sometimes.
Either way, it's dumb that it isn't explained anywhere.
-
Then what's the point of reeling them in?
-
I've only seen one guy complain about it, and the complaint was that it was stronger against Nurse and Blight.
So yeah, I think it's pretty damn good as-is.
My favorite part about the new Dead Hard is that I get to completely ignore it as Deathslinger.

The survivors now get more distance if Blight or Nurse swings into a dead hard. Who cares if they have to mend? How often is Blight or Nurse trying to hit and run? Killers care about extra distance, especially if it allows the survivor to break line of sight.
"Most problematic use cases" for Blight and Nurse never was dead hard for distance. And when I do play M1 killers, I'm still forced to keep walking forward into M1 tap range if the survivor doesn't have deep wounds. They're still no "anticipating dead hard", which were told we would be able to do. The only thing the rework did was make it weaker for the survivors that don't have good reaction time.
Yes, but again, Nurse and Blight are probably the least affected killers by you gaining more distance on them.
And, again,
they're Nurse and Blight.
-
Toxicity is born when a prick who can and will spread the misery does so.
Doesn't matter who.
And I don't imagine this is your first time experiencing a (dis)graceful winner. They won, they want to rub it in, you can't stop them, so they do.
There isn't anything more to it.

That means dead hard was still essentially buffed when the survivor is against Blight and Nurse.
You gain more distance against the two killers who probably care the least that you've gained some distance on them, in exchange for murdering its problematic use cases and requiring a mend if you do manage to get away.
Seems fine to me.

Well at least i don´t make threads about having a bad game...
Not making bad game threads with sweeping generalizations of one side is the best anyone can hope for around here.

Always a good feeling to watch the uninjured, 0 hook Nea crouch behind a corner as the killer closes in on my just unhooked, mori-able ass.

Couple of days ago, i had a full SWF with BNP, Prove, etc. on the Artists map. While i had no slowdown at all. After the (short) match they asked "did someone say gen rush?"
Nope, they don´t appreciate when the killer tries to go for a slower pace with no slowdown.
Shockingly, you had a bad game that doesn't reflect the entire population.
Not every survivor cares that you don't run slowdown. Not every killer cares that you're not playing to maximum efficiency.
-
I have no idea.
I haven't seen anyone use it, killer queues are nightmarish enough to keep me in Survivor, and I never ran Dead Hard even before its nerf.
-
"Just adapt"
survivors adapt
"How could you do this to me"
-
Your unpopular opinion is unpopular for a reason.
