Ah yes anti dead by daylight abilities how original, you know you remind me of the people who were super annoyed when huntress came out, because she had an ability to bypass pallets and windows. But facts are Nurse was made by the developers she was made into this game, she wasn't an error or a bug, she is a part of dead by daylight like all the other killers, but you don't care you just want to get rid of the thing you hate lol.
Also please show me your epic gamer montage of all the times a Nurse destroys you because im betting you have quite a few clips, you remind me of the survivors who try to do the same thing on every new killer, but then act surprised when they get absolutely destroyed because they cant adapt. Then they dc and go cry on the forums, making a billion posts about how op *insert killer* is because they can't do the same thing they do with other killers.
Honestly, if we just replaced all killers' legs with 0.4 m/s roombas the game would be infinitely better.

I think we are both talking past each other. Killers didn´t take the Undying Ruin combo out of the goodness of their hearts. I never claimed that. Killers obviously want to win just as much as survivors. BUT completing 5 gens for 4 survivors is simply not comparable to 12 hooking. Does snowballing heavily incline the balance towards one side? Absolutely! But it does so for both sides.
I repeat, the most effective way to use the old Undying Ruin combo (and get any effect out of it) was to not camp. Because Ruin has no effect on survivors that hug a gen. Because 3 survivors freely completing gens, while the killer sits in front of the hook for 120 seconds is more than enough time to complete 4 gens. Especially, when the camped survivor didn´t go down in 2 seconds and the other survivors could start out repairing gens.
And no, i didn´t experience a lot of Undying Ruin camps, because that was a fail strategy for the killer which would result in a 1k or maybe 2k at best. Instead i got a lot of Nurses and Blights that would constantly switch targets.
No, I think you just confused yourself. Or you're doing a very good impression of looping my statements.
Remember when you said the killer tunnels because gens go fast? And I said the killer tunnels to win, even if they didn't have to because they like winning. And then you brought up old Undying and the threads of the past like it was proof otherwise because it's the only thing you brought up in response, which even if they did complain less, you're only singling out camping as a strategy people didn't do with old Undying, not tunneling, which means this whole exercise essentially went nowhere.
I am definitely feeling the 3AM crust brain right around now.

Could you quote me on the part, where I said killers were good sports, pls?
Ruin only worked when survivors didn't hug gens.
Undying significantly increased the lifetime of Ruin.
A killer who wanted to get any benefit from that combo, was playing without camping. For the simple reason that none of the perks would have done anything. Since the killer wasn't constantly pushing the survivors off the gens.
Where there killers that still camped and tunneled? Absolutely. Just like there are survivors that use a cake and gen rush escape with 11k bloodpoints. Both things aren't exactly smart. But people nevertheless do them in rare cases.
Why would you keep saying "oh, but look, camping and tunneling definitely didn't happen with old Undying!" like you were trying to disprove that killers will take advantage of anything to win even if they have the advantage?
But you apparently don't think that? I guess if you just keep heavily implying it instead of outright saying it you always have an out if someone calls it out as silly. Nice.
Your slowdown staying up longer (or forever, in old Undying's case) is beneficial in every situation. It is especially good if you tunnel/camp someone out early. I guess you didn't experience a lot of ruindying 3v1s with more than one gen left like I did.

This is my least favorite thing about the forums, how can you just ignore everything they said just to get your dumb point across. Like do you really think he meant to act like you were playing against every other m1 killer to pallet stun them? Do you just drop pallets normally against the huntress or completely ignore pallets when you see a huntress? Well guess what skilled players can get stuns against killers with anti-pallet abilities, you don't go about them the same way as typical m1 killers though, but you probably don't know this seeing as how you are blatantly ignoring this fact.
Nurse doesn't have an anti-pallet ability, she has an anti-Dead by Daylight ability.
Please show me your epic gamer montage of all the pallet stuns you got against nurses who were simultaneously good and at their keyboards.

Having three gens done in less than a minute is genrush.
Four posts and you've already managed to play necromancer.

I enjoy being able to tell who made the post without looking at the author.

I don't know why people keep asking for a 2v8 game mode when Solo Queue already gives us 1v1v1v1v1s.

That was a cleverly disguised Dead Hard post.

The amount of threads complaining about camping dropped significantly during that period. Go check yourself if you don't believe me.
So I need to, what.. scan every post made from the time period old Undying was live, count how many times camping/tunneling were brought up, and compare that to.. any other period of time, I guess?
And you believe that's a valid method of determining whether or not the actual game population were camping/tunneling during that time period?
And not just that, you genuinely believe killers were such phenomenally good sports that they didn't camp or tunnel with old Undying, despite it making the strategy even stronger?
-
But I need a varied selection to add to my hoard.

Lets take a look into the past. Back when Undying was released. There were absolutely no threads about camping or tunneling killers on the forum. There where tons of "Undying Ruin OP, pls nerf" threads. But camping didn´t seem to be an issue. Why? Because a killer that wanted to get any benefit from Undying Ruin, had to constantly switch targets. He couldn´t camp or tunnel.
Now fast forward to the Undying nerf and suddenly the camping and tunneling threads are back.
What a surprise! Who would have guessed, that killers with enough time to actually play the game, would prefer longer matches?!
Are you under the actual belief that there was no camping or tunneling when Undying was released because killers were such good boys that they all just decided not to out of good sport for having such an overwhelmingly powerful perk?
Or are you just incredibly good at selective obliviousness?

What if i told you, that the killer wants to tunnel someone out, BECAUSE the gens go to fast?
The killer wants to tunnel someone out because it's the most effective way to win.
If the gens went slower, they'd STILL do it because they like winning, only it's even more effective now.

What's stopping you and your friends just walking out instead of standing around and wasting everyone's time?
Or is it that people who do this are just a pack of badwords?
They're definitely big doodoo heads, but that doesn't actually answer the question though.
-
I wasn't having fun in Solo queue anyway, but the game started crashing every match just to make absolutely certain.
-
Because of the "you're going to go down it's just going to take a minute or two" gameplay.
It sucked when Old Legion did it, it sucks now. It's not as bad, but it's still not great.
-
I usually let them all finish the gens and get out. If they make it clear they just want out, i'll kill them.
I would end the trial as quickly as possible, but intention is hard to discern and as survivor I have a hard enough time figuring out whether the killer's doing it out of mercy or 'get destroyed idiot baby survivors ez'.
-
First off, how dare you.

Some Bills just aren't Bill enough for this game.
Hit me up if you need a REAL Bill to homie down when you need it.

Because it'd be way too good otherwise, of course.

If you just got rid of the self heal part but gave it back the 100% heal speed, it'd be perfectly fine.

I 4ked five games in a row. It's boring and simple. I've watched streamers play her many times, I get the gist. Even folks who obviously know how to play vs her and leave the loop.... Still get hit. It's the only time playing this game I felt oppressive aside from when I played nurse for a minute.
You think she's a complex and difficult to pick up killer? That's cute you put yourself up like that. You put down the birds. You hit the mans. You put down the birds. They leave. You hit the mans. Baiting out jukes from survs is the only learning curve there and it works once, per survivor. Then guess what? She got another bird, for free. Comparing her with any subpar killer is laughable. Hell, she's easier than plague and I have a 20 winstreak with her.
You are desperate for a fight, damn.

If they don't still have some kind of use, they'll be refunded.
Which means some people are probably gonna be spending a couple hours in the bloodweb.
-
Make the TVs return much faster if Sadako uses them.
Let Sadako manually trigger flickers while demanifested, and also make them last longer.
Make Condemned passively build up while out of chase, and build up even faster if within range of a TV. Survivors might actually have to interact with her power then.

They are giving the dredge an exhaustion add-on so they are clearly not against it and the exhaustion changes clearly had no impact on making them.
Which is why its so confusing that out of every killer CLOWN lost his exhaustion add-on.
Yeah, but every current exhaustion addon either lasts for single digits (Huntress, Ghostface) or has to be dispelled in some way and only lasts for like a second once taken care of (Pig, Artist, Cenobite). With Dredge, I can only assume it's double digits because a survivor literally has to run into the Remnant to trigger it.
With Clown, I can only assume they removed the exhaustion aspect completely because it was incredibly easy to apply comparatively.
-
When Clown's exhaustion addons were introduced, you could still recover exhaustion while running.
You can't anymore, which is why it was changed.

Yup.
People run the meta because when they don't run the meta, they go up against people running the meta, and remember why they were running the meta.
-
One side's meta justifies the other side's meta, which justifies the former meta, ect.
The second one side stops rushing gens is when someone gets hard camped and tunneled at 5 gens with ruindyingresonance, and when someone runs a meme build playing nice they get all their gens done in 4 minutes.
Not changing any time soon.

How much would you decrease it?
Too much and you are buffing killers in unhealthy way. Bleeding people to death would be viable option in some scenarios instead of hooking them I think.
I am not sure about give up option and would it affect solo q negatively. It could make people prone to impulsive behaviour to rage quit often for example.
People seem happy enough to ragequit even with a penalty slapped on them. I don't know if a give up option would affect too much.

I don't know where this "it's skillful so there's no problem" idea comes from.
Sure, if you could reprogram the game to play Snake with the survivors before killing them and uninstalling their games via a series of inputs requiring computerized precision at highly specific intervals, that'd be real darn skillful.
It also could never, ever, ever see the light of day, ever, period, because this is a multiplayer game.
