How would you purpose to fix that?

I have no idea, to be honest. Nothing that isn’t just killing the add-on, or extremely convoluted, anyway.
Perhaps if the game client detects the killer within X amount of meters of a survivor’s last box to search, it lets them re-search the next closest one?
-
You’ll want to recreate this thread under the Bug Reporting forum area. Don’t think they’ll review it here.
-
People DC for all sorts of reasons, sometimes out of their control. There’s already DC penalties in place, and a dwindling player base. Don’t want to discourage more people to leave altogether.
-
I wouldn’t want it to go too much higher, as it stacks with Fire Up. Also because pallets are survivors primary defense in chase, and the only thing to stop Bloodlust other than losing chase.
Brutal Strength and Fire Up should also speed up the animations for snuffing boons and closing the hatch.
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
She's the same speed as most other killers.
To be fair, she is slowed after launching crows.
As to the point, I don’t see why not. You already have the same scenario with Victor and Pinhead‘s chains.
-
No longer gen times. Fix map design, give killers 5% base damage when kicking generators. But do not make base generator times longer. They’re already a snooze fest, and as long as Ruin can regress up to 79 seconds of progress, there is no reason gens should take longer.
-
Could you please clarify here? Are you saying to remove everything from brown personal BP points all the way up to Escape Cakes/Survivor Puddings? Is this for survivor and killer? Would these values be for individual gains only across all categories, or given to all survivors or all players?
-
Hillbilly, Nurse, and Twins.
-
“Solid 10/10” - if you only play killer, I guess.
-
That would give me excitement more than fear. I enjoy facing Nurse!
-
Great idea! May I suggest that the number of broken seconds goes down at a rate based on seconds you were able to heal though? Rather than strict values like half, whole heals, etc. Props for a great fix idea though!
-
It’s a very niche perk without at least Flip-Flop, and going down directly under a pallet.
-
Over a year and still no strengthened nut.
-
Nurse is my pick.

So, you can then head-on them?
If the killer isn’t suspecting the perk is in play, by another survivor pointing at the locker.
-
No.

Everyone is asking for voice chat... I really don't understand why.
Sure, some people would use it as intended. Others would spam racist obscenities or just simply play troll "Benny Hill" music at max volume.
They just need "Doing gens" indicators and stuff so a Solo and SWF aren't running to a hook rescue at the same time. Simple.
Benny Hill chase music doesn’t seem impossible now that Trickster is in the game.
-
Thanks mate. Hit me up when they take action on that yeah? 😀
-
Have the cheaters and bots been removed too? Otherwise I don’t really care to come back.

They don't get used because the fog now is less fog and more a rather awful looking smog.
Climate change is real in the Entity's Realm, all the gens are causing so much pollution it's starting to spread
“Accepted answer”

While part of me wants it, the other part tells me that my solo queue teammates will just use that info to tell the killer where I am. 😕

Edit: Never mind, answered above.

I'm not talking about that bug, interesting to know though.
I'm talking about small maps, where you can using Legions power to injure every survivor in addition to downing one. I don't even see how survivors can recover from something like that.
(Now maybe I'm reading the power wrong, but the 5th hit will down any survivor, even ones in the deep wounds state? If that's the case, then the 4th person you are chasing gets deep wounds, then the next hit downs them.)
Throw in Lethal Pursuer and survivors are screwed.
Factoring in the CoH nerf 2.0, BHVR doing their very best to bring back the no time to heal gen rush survivor meta.

I think this started happening since IW s hard-counters Stridor. Just another bug under the rock, I suppose.
If memory serves correctly, it’s been going on long before the Stridor nerf.

Yeah, and I would assume it is something that is easy to correct.
But for some reason we still have it for years.
Maybe in the waking up situation, it’s simulating what they may sound like being woken up from a Freddy nightmare in the NoES series. 🤣
-
Never understood it either! Or hearing groans of pain when being woken up by a teammate against Freddy?

Which OP Add-ons are you talking about?
Most of my grievances are as a solo queue survivor. These add-on changes again widen the gap between solo queue and SWF. Especially the Legion self-mend ones. SWF = ‘Hey mate, where are you to finish my 99% mend?’ Solo queue? Better be running a survivor aura reading perk.
Oblivious is an extremely powerful status effect to last for 60 seconds, especially on yellow add-ons. Not OP, but really only yellow add-ons for that? Think about every perk application of oblivious, and there’s no comparison. Especially on these two quiet killers. Again, hurts solos more than SWF (callouts).
Susie’s Mix Tape makes it so killer instinct covers like half the map, on top of the buffed base kit and other FF add-ons. Wouldn’t Distressing further increase the distance too - isn’t it based on TR?
Olsen’s Wallet and Ghost Face Caught on Tape are flat out busted. Instantly recharged Night Shroud, allowing for constant and easy 99 or full stalks throughout the match -regardless of being recently revealed. (Are they fixing the busted reveal function on the survivor side, or only making it harder with the marked survivor change? Was super excited to see Driver’s License is unchanged - /s)
Meh, what do I really care though. Probably won’t be playing the base game anymore with the cheater and bot pandemic. Couldn’t even finish this last Rift. I’ll maybe just stick to mobile until it too is unplayable.
-
Just wondering, did devs forget survivors exist in their game this update? My gosh, some of those add-ons are so busted it’s unbelievable they passed the eyes of upper level devs at BHVR. Then there’s the self-mend trigger for like half of Legion’s add-ons.. they don’t think survivors will just 99% mend then run to a friend?

What are you supposed to loop once that pallet is gone? The entire area just turns into a deadzone giving the killer a easy down, can you guys please consider adding a window there? If there is a gen down there against a bubba you’re toast
I haven’t seen any pictures or footage. There are really zero windows on that house now? I get it had a handful before, but.. zero? Flip-Flop isn’t just a perk anymore I guess. 🙄

@Crimson_Lockhart said:
Remove the giant lights indicator on top of gens so they will be sightly harder to find and maybe add some non functional gens to the mix as a decoy.
That sounds like a considerably bad idea.
-
You’re outta your mind if you think Freddy was ok in any form than his original. After his rework: teleporting to any incomplete gen on demand, stackable slowdown add-ons, denying BT just by existing basically (back when BT was terror radius based, though this problem was obviously not unique to him), no slowdown while placing puddles.. yeah, definitely not busted.
Like @sizzlingmario4 said above: went from OP and boring to now underpowered and boring. Should just bring back a renewed iteration of his original power.
-
Guess I won’t be finishing my Rift for the first time, thanks to having no desire to play with a cheater + bot pandemic. Thanks BHVR!
Mobile used to have a severe cheating problem, but I now have more regular cheaters in the base game than mobile (once every couple hundred matches or so). Telling.

I still argue that it should be 60 seconds because DS is still 60 seconds. If Pop's measly 60 seconds is too OP, then what do people think about Make Your Choice? Is that perk also OP? Why not? It grants instadowns, which are OP, as opposed to simple gen regression.
MYC has a long cool down to accompany it though; Pop has no cool down. Also, not sure of anyone who considers instadowns OP.
DS and Pop have two very different functions, not sure they can be compared.

Why should killers have to use their perks with urgency when even the strongest survivor perks never demand urgency? I think the nerf was a poorly thought-out and awful idea. Why force killers to run gen defence perks and then nerf the best ones? It's creating this killer meta that is "Let's use the next best thing because we have to." as opposed to something that gives them an actual advantage.
You make it sound like Pop fell out of meta or something, lol. It’s still a very strong and popular killer perk. 45 seconds is just fine. What meta survivor perks don’t demand urgency? Exhaustion for 40 seconds that’s unrecoverable while running, not gonna write an essay on all of DS’s restrictions, Unbreakable requires you to stay slugged long enough to work, BT lasts only 12 seconds. Am I missing any?
-
Agreed, luck needs buffing. I didn’t even realize they took away its effect on bear traps. That literally only leaves a smaller self-unhooking chance, which is very risky. Definitely needs to affect the chances of a rarer item in chests at the very least. I also don’t mind your other ideas, except an even higher unhooking chance.
Random self-unhooks can completely turn a game around. I’ll never forget when it happened to me... (I was the killer, worked very hard to get them all slugged and then boom. One self-unhook literally turned a 4k into a 0k.)
-
Not sure you’re even friends now if you want them to play DbD.. but you may not be after if they decide to play! 😥

What?? Suffocation Pit is insanely survivor sided IMO. I hate that map more than any. The main building is really strong and the middle always has jungle gym into jungle gym or back to back to back gyms/t-walls. It's nutty.
Outside of the middle, main building, and killer shack though, the rest of the map is straight up dead zone. Like, all of it.

I wouldn't expect them to. Cheaters aren't preventing you from playing all that much, are they? You might be inconvenienced for 1 game out of 50? 100?
It's not like when they have server issues and the whole game is inaccessible for days.
Besides, BHVR first has to acknowledge there's a huge cheater problem which might take a lot of prodding on the community's part because they're not going to do it on their own.
Having just gotten out of a match where a survivor was using Head On, Dead Hard three or more times per chase (scoreboard said they had Sprint Burst), and blinding me from anywhere on the map but in front of me. Second match of the day. What more can I expect?

I dont want to step on your opinion and I respect that fully.
However its a simple fact that crows are pretty good tracking tools by themselves, there is no need to equip a perk what crows anyway do.
Whispers is not reliable at all, sure you can find your first and last target easier, if you understand survivors spawns and know how to look for survivors efficiantly you will have little to no trouble finding survivors in the early game (Unless its a map that cucks you like swamp or indoor maps). So whispers is even in the early game useless and to equip a perk ONLY for the last survivor seems just not worth it to me.
There are some OG dbd players who throw around the argument with "you can triangle a area to pin point the position of a survivor". Well have fun trying to triangle an area for like 1-2 min meanwhile all gens pop, just leave the survivor and pressure gens instead or go for someone else.
Again not saying you are wrong, just trying to share some facts here.
I get you! Just saying that for free perks available to all killers, they aren't that bad. But yep, there are much better information perks out there to protect generators these days - BBQ, Tinkerer, Pain Res, Discordance, etc.

Never said they need to be amazing.
I admit I forgot about Bitter Murmur, its also pretty decent I agree. Sloppy will get buffed anyway with the hemorraged rework which is also pretty nice. However Iron Grasp, Whispers and Spies are pretty dog and that comes from me who loves to switch up builds and loves to play often with very weird or underrated perks like Coupe de Grace or Eruption.
Hmm?! Whispers and Spies are some of the best tracking perks in the game! At least in my opinion.

The only problem I see with a cd is swf just rotating cds. I like boons but the fact they are infinite is my issue.
Well, looking at it positively, that would cause SWFs to need to run boon perks (cough cough CoH) across at least two survivors (if not, more) if it’s that important to them to keep it up at all times.
Could also make blessing take a couple seconds longer by default (16?) to make it a tactical decision if it’s better to cleanse or bless.

No one left behind would be fine if it was reverted to it being the final gen done them changing it to endgame collapse only Nerfed it lol
Agreed, it was unjustly nerfed for no reason. Also Hope would be a much better perk if the timer was paused at least while hooked, but maybe also in the dying state.
-
Well, technically Wraith’s perks are new player friendly. Which makes them bad for experienced players. I actually feel the opposite: killers have all the best general perks, survivors have some really garbage ones. This Is Not Happening, No One Left Behind...
-
Slug as needed, but preferably find out who is the one sabo’ing and get them hooked. Usually it’s just one.

@Rezblaze said:
Honestly, they need to just have Boon Totems break when a Killer puts them out.
A) It buffs Pentimento and synergizes with it better.
B) If a survivor Boons a Totem, it's pretty much considered broken anyway. There is no benefit for the Killer by making it dull.
C) Nerfs the Boon Totems in a sensible way that forces survivors to play more tactically with boobs
To point B, there are three exceptions: Thrill of the Hunt, Plaything, and NOED.
-
It’s to your advantage if survivors do the outer gens first in most cases. Do you want them to play hide and seek until you find one first or?
-
I think a reasonable booning cool down would have been fine.
-
The sad truth of DbD is that the survivor who does the most work almost always ends up with the least amount of points - even if they survive. Especially a survivor chased most or all of the trial.
-
45 seconds should be plenty of time for any killer to traverse directly to a desired gen on the map. I also like it at 45 as it incentivizes going for another hook within 60 seconds; i.e. you can’t hold Pop the entire time you camp someone on hook.
