Acknowledged bug, or so I’ve heard.

Debatable sure. You think nintendo is going to allow dwight in a link skin to get cut vertically in half by leatherface?
Maybe not Dwight, maybe Link himself! Improbable but not impossible!

Debatable.. did you miss that Attack on Titan is on its way?
-
Dead Hand terrified me as a young boy (I made my friend do the Shadow Temple for me), but I don’t think that base movement speed is gonna work out too well in DbD...
Ganondorf would seem the most likely candidate, due to his presence as Ganon and Ganondorf across several of the games. And that he’s human-like.
And you know what everyone 100% is looking forward to.. Link’s sounds as a survivor vaulting (“Hut!”) and dropping from heights (“Waaaaah!”). 😆

The anti boon perk is the best thing coming to this update
That’s a hot take. Strongly disagree.

Fair but i don't think they will be small

Small was their word in the main post, not mine.

@[Deleted User] said:
Devs have said they are making baseline adjustments in addition to the perk overhaul.
“Small” baseline adjustments. And this still doesn’t address why killers are getting the first new general perk ever, since the game’s release, to address boons. A perk that will be dead weight if survivors don’t even bring a boon perk.
-
Ok, I honestly had to go back and re-read how it works. What it basically encourages is P3ing one character at a time before moving on to anyone else. Otherwise, you’re only diluting future character blood webs and their grind further than necessary (even if it’s better than what we have now). So these poor new players are advised to stick with a character with only their teachables and general perks all the way to P3 - then do the same with every entire character on the roster, with the slow addition of the teachable perks getting added to your tool belt as you grind.
So they’re essentially disincentivizing character diversity worse than the current system - particularly for killer.

It does because after the update hits prestiging wont delete your perks, items or addons, there will be no reason not to prestige and once you start to have characters at P3 you will shave 9 Bloodwebs per P3 character, there is a point where you will P3 everyone just by virtue of dumping BPs.
Right now there are 107 Survivor perks (318 ranks) and 97 Killer perks (288 ranks), you unlock 1 perk from lvl 1 to lvl 40 and 2 perks from 40 onwards, that means you need minimum 179 and 164 bloodwebs on each Survivor and Killer to get all perks without prestiging, with the change it goes to 150 per Survivor and Killer while prestiging without losing your stuff and you will have at lvl 1 wathever you unlock on the others eliminating RNG, you want DH or BBQ? get David/Leatherface to P3 and you will have it unlocked forever on everyone no need to clear bloodweb after bloodweb.
P.D. Right now every new character introduces 9 extra perk unlocks on everyone (5 Bloodwebs per character).
No, you might as well stick to the existing option of getting the teachable version of the perks you want unlocked rather than prestiging. New players still have to put in hundreds of hours to get working builds (especially as killer), all while starting with level I perk tiers options. This does nothing to encourage new players to try out and continue playing the game.
-
It does nothing to help the grind for those that need it the most: new players. And for that they should be ashamed.
All it does is lower the grind time and cost for someone already committed to grinding just because anyway.
-
Looting chests is throwing the match, outside of needing a clutch self-heal or the gates are already powered. So much wasted time that should have been repairing generators.
All of the chest-related survivor perks need big buffs, combinations, and/or reworks to be worth while. As it currently stands, just bring your own item beforehand and use other perks.

Well see. I can't 'push past' the person and I HAVE to hit them and clean my blade because .. They.. Have magical powers given to them by the one who ran away.
Magic or not, no one is stopping you from counting to 12. Then on to 60, if you’re so inclined.

@CashelP14 said:
They never confirmed why but the widely agreed reason was Artist. Her ability to guard totems while also chasing survivors and protecting gens was too strong.
I would argue her and other killers were able to get too much value out of the notification, making cleansing attempts futile and even impossible in some instances. So yeah, it had to go.
-
Did she think to check if just one key was loose, before investing in a new keyboard?

with the new chapter devs have been making tweaks on various maps it seems with this it was a problem area that didnt sit right with them
So does this include the aforementioned two dedicated totem spawns on the rocks by shack? Because those need to go too.
-
@Mr_K said:
I would rather it make it suppress only injured noises instead of all noises. Like it did prior to the 1.4 update.
This. It’s a perk that only gives value while being - and remaining - injured. Survivors just need to make their normal breathing noises when Iron Will is active.
-
I understand removing one.. but both? The main building is one of the few saving graces for survivors on that map... well, and the moronic two dedicated totem spawns by shack.

@ukenicky said:
It doesn't need an extra effect. This perk is about to make pentimento meta rampant.
No killer will use shattered hope without pentimento / hex heavy build. Seriously I can see it now:
Shattered Hope / Hex: Ruin / Hex: Undying / Hex: Pentimento
Eternal slowdown and punishes anyone who cleanses your hexes or tries to boon.
You literally only need 1 stack of Pentimento for it to hurt too so it's easy to control if multiple totems get cleansed and broken. You can relight a Penti when you want if the first gets cleansed. It's incredibly powerful slowdown
Quoting this comment so I can come back and remember it when it doesn’t happen.

Fearmonger is near-enough pointless if they don't bring exhaustion perks. Not that that's at all likely, but it's theoretically possible.
Blindness really hurts solos - especially if Kindred is in play.
-
I was never concerned about that new ability. I just hate Legion at their core. I really wish they would have taken the opportunity to rework their power completely. Guess we’ll probably never see that again though, since Freddy’s caused such divisiveness.
-
Apart from its biggest issue of being a boon, it suffers the same requirement of all other anti-slug perks: need to give the killer a reason to leave you slugged to begin with.

the game has been struggling for years now- they definitely need to update the servers... If Fortnite can host 100 people per match with less lag then I'm pretty sure its possible....
Fortnite battle royale mode is loaded with bots... probably a third of the 100 ‘players’ are human.

in the same post about the meta perk reworks, it says they will be making basekit mechanical changes in response to the change in the meta perks.
“Small baseline gameplay adjustments”.

That's because survivors rarely need to plea for help. The devs always favour them in every way lol, since they are a majority of the player base.
Yes, they are so favored that there have been no changes to... well, I’m actually not in the mood to write an essay to such a stupid comment.
Edit: typo.
-
I came expecting a plea for help for survivors - especially those in solo queue. Then I remembered it’s the official DbD forums, and even what is guised as a survivor post is still killer-sided.
-
Basekit Nurse is perfect, range add-ons just need to have a small downside to charge time and/or recharge speed. Also, any exhaustion perk, except Smash Hit in really good hands, is as viable against her as any other killer. Dead Hard just screws her the most.
-
Depending on what hook state it is for the survivor, and how early the down was… almost always not. Except in a SWF.

Had one DC last night after a long 15+ minute match where I had them 3genned. Dude sat through entire match until I downed him at end, then DC.
LOL
'It's not about the blood points.. it's about sending a message!' 🤣
-
Punish AFK killers? Yes. Punish the survivors? Absolutely not. Why?
-
There are simply way too many survivor chest perks at this point, all I’m gonna say. It’s a pretty useless feature, unless a self-heal will really come in clutch, or a key if you plan to wait the killer leaving a closed hatch after your teammates have all died off.
You’re better off just planning your item and perks in the lobby, than sinking time into opening and looting chests. They would have to combine several chest perks, and rework the others to do something else entirely, if chest searches are going to be worthwhile.
-
Not happening in the base game, but they give out Auric Cells like candy on Halloween night in DbD Mobile (year-round).
Edited for clarity.

Demo is better. Demo has solid anti-loop power. And his portals are good second objective for survivors. And Demo is teleporting faster.
I liked new killer but Demo is better than him.
Good survivors won’t even bother closing Demo portals most of the time. There’s typically no reason to, especially if you repair the generator it’s near. You’ve now denied him an opportunity to open a new portal.
And the other important factor I forgot to mention: Dredge is an original killer, so can be bought with shards. And Demo ain’t even available anymore of course.

It already takes 24 seconds to bless a hex, blessing hexes is slower than blessing dull totems
Actually it’s 28. Double that with five stacks of ToTH tier III.
-
The DCs on death hook are some of the most hilarious. ‘I’m gonna stick it to this killer by undoing all my earned points this match, and getting a timeout penalty!’

No because using For the People you can heal a downed survivor instantly after them down when the killer is in animation after M1.
True, I guess that's the only time it's better. Requires SWF coordination and a really niche scenario, though.
-
WGLF is almost the same result as For The People, without needing to become injured and broken. Plus the extra BP. 🤷♂️

New players typically dont buy DLC chars and idk if Dejavu has ever shown up in the shrine before. Besides, they probably dont even know what a 3 gen situation is.
It doesn't ever show up in the shrine because it is a general perk. The shrine is only for teachable perks.
-
We're talking about devs who think it's ok for survivors to be able to lock any locker at will against Dredge, with no option for survivors to unlock it themselves. Yes, I am concerned.

I'm not mad, I'm just tired of this nonsense. I play survivor just as much as killer and everytime I get to be the one bodyblocking I say something like "look at this, it's so stupid". Because it is. Not because I'm the killer or whatever.
Again: zero effort, zero risk, extremely high reward (I'm gonna keep reminding this to you guys)
If you can't get over how DbD's health state system functions, and survivors having the ability to work as a team against the killer, might be time for a new game for you. Maybe a single player custom game like Minecraft, where you can customize the game to go however you want. You be the dev!

What "feedback" is in this thread? Let me literally quote you what people are saying:
"goofy"
"pretty rough"
"less attractive"
"ew"
"ugly"
"looks awful"
"looks like a witch"
"looks like Shrek"
None of this is legitimate feedback on character design, just some people who think they're entitled for BHVR to make characters they think are attractive.
Did I miss something, or are we not talking about a video game character but instead a real life person in this thread?
-
Because they should be announcing the "small baseline gameplay adjustments" first, before any mentions of meta nerfs were ever talked about. And, they shouldn't be small. We need massive changes to core strategies/base kit things for both roles.
-

If BT/DS are to get nerfed are you guys gonna find ways to make camping/tunneling punishable or at least make killers discourage themselves from doing it???
In the dev post it says they are making “small baseline gameplay adjustments”. Which is why I edited my earlier comment. See last paragraph below.
-
Dwight: “Ah! It’s the killer!”
-
No Bubba camping changes? No basekit camping/tunneling counters? No increase to base generator damage or regression?
Then none of the other stuff really matters a great deal to me.
