I'd agree with @OniWantsYourMacaroni but we'll have to wait for the PTB to release.

Anyone else can pick up the items as well. Finding keys might be a problem, flashlights are pretty easy to see. If you just have a rough idea where the survivor was hit and are aware that this survivor had an item, you can find it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1408396#Comment_1408396
You would wonder what killers say about a 60 second timer. Ever got struck by the 120 second repair slowdown addon from Bubba? Ever used any means necessary? Ever run tier 1 Sabo or Premonition? Feels like eternity
Which would need the survivor to be aware the killer had Franklin's, needing them to have been nearby or had an item of their own, or be in a SWF on comms. In the case they had the item on their own, they must sacrifice either their item, or the others' item. In the case of a SWF on comms, usually multiple people bring items, so same case scenario they gotta sacrifice off an item to save the other. In the case of them being nearby, then the item is theirs fair game, like it is currently.

So was this fixed in the last patch? I don't see the Clown mentioned....
According to Peanits in a different thread, this was fixed in yesterday's hotfix/
-
"as long as people want to play the game, we will continue to support and update the game and its content."
this was from a dev, i believe peanits.
-
i kinda think 90 seconds may be okay. you hit someone, they get the speed boost and drop the item. the 90 seconds start. in those 90 seconds they have to either escape a chase or:
1) Get downed
2) Get hooked
3) Get unhooked
4) Maybe get healed
5) Find the item
6) Collect the item.
theoreically, the 90 seconds should be good, since either they force an unsafe unhook by insta-saving or they waste a lot of time on the hook.

Yes that’s correct.
exactly; he really shouldn't be playing. not only because the content isnt deemed as suitable but because you need a certain level of emotional maturity to deal not only with the content but also the people.
they're going to be toxic and if you can't deal with it, either because you're too young or some other reaons, you shouldn't play the game. and if someone tbagging you hurts you this much it sounds like a you problem.
also also, they don't know it's a rank 20 level 1 spirit. all they see is "spirit" and, let's be real, spirit is hardly a well-respected killer in the community.
EDIT: yeah but that's on the parents, and you can't get upset that they were toxic when your bad parenting skills let them play in the first place.
-
i mean, your bro is 12 you said.
isn't this game rated a 15/18 (depending on where you live)?
-
I just have a question @Peanits
Does this only work got items dropped with Franklins or any items placed on the floor?

The point is that we shouldn't have to play around clearly broken game design. This absolute joke of a perk shouldn't exist, period. Things like borrowed time and DS has done NOTHING but continue to frustrate killers for years. They'll remove Ruin entirely the moment new players start bitching about it but when killers have a problem with survivors we're LITERALLY told by the devs who aren't even good at their own game that we just aren't playing right.
Remember Peanits is a r1 huntress main but the devs don't play their game.
Perks have counters in most situations. I wouldn't be opposed to BT and DS being disabled during endgame (although this would just make killers tunnel and facecamp them at the end to desperately get another kill) but in all other situations ds and bt have counters. Use these counters.
Is that not the point of the game bekg random? To allow you to adapt to your situation effectively, and whoever cannot adapt will die (or, in the killer's case, not kill people).

How much time you need to wait for the 3 charges cooldown?
They didn't say but something tells me if you can't pick up, hook, then find someone else in that time there'll be a bit of an outrage.

Sooo... if they nerfed Billy for no reason, they can also nerf Freddy, right?
Yep they can. I asked why they'd do it though, to which I have yet to get an answer. I was told they nerfed doctor (which they didn't), they nerfed Billy, but not why they'd nerf Freddy except "he's op" which he isn't you literally just wake up.
-
Hi can I interest you in the concept of either slugging or knowing who you recently hooked to be cautious?
Like I get dsed when I'm not tunneling sometimes but damn the way people on this forums phrase it its like they get hit by it 4 times a match whilst not trying to tunnel. That doesn't happen unless you're so far ahead DS won't do anything.

They are also curreny reworking Bubba and Billy, they are making the cannibal even more trash. Even Billy is going to be nerfed for no reason
The Billy nerf I get is gonna be trash.
But bubba? A nerf? Are you serious?
His rev is easier now.
His sprint is 0.2m/s faster.
He can sprint for longer if you want.
He's getting new add-ons which will hopefully not be as bad as Shop Lubricant.
It's a buff. Seriously.
-
Bubba im happy for. Billy, less so. I guess his add-ons are nice but I mean his new ultra rare is just Speed Limiter on steroids.
Perks I'm happy for, knock out only works on basic attacks but hey. Franklin's is unique, Lightborne isn't #########, and Tinkerer is...something still.

Yeah, since you can make the 50% slowdown (the x2 in your maths) even longer, I'm just not sure if how much.
-
It could actually be longer.
He had add-ons which worsened the 50% penalty (although by how much I don't know).
But no, I never managed it unfortunately.

Even if you think that his old power was broken he was still the worst killer of the game
No, it wasn't broken. It was weak. He's currently strong. That's what I've been saying, are you okay?
His treatment mode used to be passive gain, not a blast that increases everyone by a stage. It was passive, hence no cooldown. Since its currently an active ability, it has a cooldown.
You're the one saying he was strong and they nerfed him. He's so much stronger now than he was and I seriously don't understand how anyone can think otherwise.

How? Before the rework he had the power to walk and know the position of other survivors, now his power has a cooldown. They nerfed even the executioner even if he was a balanced killer
His Static Blast has a cooldown, yes, because otherwise it would be downright broken. It automatically pushes you up a tier of madness.
He no longer has to waste time switching stances and walk around the map at 110%. He's forever a 115% and can cover much more distance like this, increasing overall map pressure.
In a chase he doesn't have to switch stances either. Now he can just shock you right away and hit you straight after, no need to switch, shock, then switch, then swing. Now it's just shock and swing. Also he shocks at 115% not 110% which makes catching up easier.
It takes less shocks to make people go mad (only 2 for each tier of madness).
He got reworked, better add-ons. "Discipline" being my favourite but also the most broken, reducing the shock detonation delay by 0.3 seconds. He also has Iri Queen now, which is very nice.
He got a new madness effect of reversed skillchecks.
Sure his Snap was nerfed but its also easier than ever to get people into T3 so it was justified.
Please explain how any of his changes were a net nerf?
EDIT: Also with Pyramid Head, the "nerfs" were justified. It was unfun for both sides and promoted boring gameplay. Now he has a higher skill ceiling of predicting where a cage will spawn AND can strategically move the cage away from himself to interrupt more survivors. It's hardly much of a nerf.

Are you okay? When the ######### did they do that? The doc rework was nothing but a buff, despite the uprising in the forums at the time. He's been nothing but stronger.

hes okay but will get trashed on maps like haddonfield still and of course against the sweatiest swf that never make mistakes. I learned now that its better to just tap his bottle throw, you dont slow down so its always a free hit if youre in the open lol. I would always hold it, i never play clown but now i might level him up a bit more
Okay but name me a killer that doesn't die inside on Haddonfield or lose to top-tier SWF?

I think that sooner or later, he will be nerfed in a different way
Why though? Because he's good?
Unlike spirit and nurse has has nothing that breaks game mechanics, there's a tell for everyrhing that he's doing, and all of his skills have counterplay. He's teleporting? Walk away. He's spamming snares? Don't be asleep.

You bring up an interesting point, they couldve simply reduced that time to 3 seconds and didnt need a rework at all. =)
The first time I hit rank 1 was with a no ruin no noed Freddy.
I wouldn't have complained tbh since he's still incredibly fun (though then they'd need to change Pain Brush and all the blocks anyway else you could have a sleep timer of -1.5 seconds which, yeah).
But his full rework shows what the devs are truly capable of doing with a killer's power and we should hold them to that standard. He would've had no anti-loop or movement potential without the rework, still leaving him as one of the weaker killers.
It's because his kit is so diverse, each part being relatively strong, that Freddy is one of the best killers in the game. Again, let's not re-massacre the man.
Edit: First time I hit rank 1 was also with Freddy, though I was absolutely awful as killer then, didn't understand anything about 3 gens and pressure. I properly relied on ruin for it, since then I got to rank 1 consistently without add-ons or ruin. However had I spent that time learning nurse I could've won without a single issue. Freddy I has to proplely sweat with. He wasn't the worst but oh god he was so far from being good.

But now is too strong, i personally think that they need to add the old “pull in dream” option to balance his power
So you, uh, you want him to back to having to wait 7 seconds to hit someone?
How about we don't ######### massacre him again, okay?
-
The devs have already answered this with a "no". It'd be like trying to balance and Bugfix another entire character with none of the joys that come with making that character. Plus, for it to be any good, they'd have to have the current add-ons have other effects for when you're using his current base and this form of him.
I loved the man and maimed him since I started playing the game. He had his time, he was fun but weak as #########, and that time has moved on. Its like asking for old doctor back with his two stances because it was "unique" and "fun" and "interesting" with no regards to bugs or balance that could arise from it, potentially breaking the game.
They massacred Z-block but I don't want him back. Gone are the days of not bei g able to hit someone for 7 seconds after you've found them, or missing a hit because they just failed a skillcheck in time, or self-care being his biggest counter. He wasn't a good killer and personally I don't want him back.

I hate indoor maps, and some unique maps as the op calls them(although I hate them cause of their look, rather than gameplay). You're completely right there, they make you play different, the tiles there are different, everything changes and it forces you to play differently overall.
If you hate em, that's fine lol. I personally love how it makes you change your looping and playstyle and shows actual skill being able to adapt to each map on the fly.

I don't have a PS4 so I'm far from an expert but if there's a way to upload that clip to YouTube or something then do that, and then give them the link to the uploaded video. It doesn't have to be public either, just unlisted so only those with a link can see it
-
I'd love to disagree heavily.
Maps like these, where people are forced to change their platstyle, are so much better than the basic maps. Haddonfield I get, hate that map with a passion, but I like the rest of them.
Also I wouldn't call Cowshed a particularly skillful map. You can combine so many safe pallets and tiles it's like Ormond part 2. You know how to hold W? You basically win those maps.

Firstly submit a support ticket if you have Video evidence as in-game reports alone aren't enough for a ban.
Secondly, there were cases of people hacking into Bhvr servers and changing their (or other peoples') matchmaking platform. This could be it.

yes zeus, but look at someone like otzdarva, hes an absolute god at the game and he still gets stomped by swf groups, even though hes good, he still gets beaten by basic swf and decisive strike.and on top of that, killer shouldent be stressful, youre a killer, a mass murderer with victims who cant do anything, that shouldent be stressful to play, you should be able to feel strong.
I'd actually like to argue this notion.
Killer should be stressful all because you're a mass murderer. You need to micromanage everything possible to ensure things go your way, like you would in real life if you were to kill someone to ensure you're successful and not caught. You only have yourself to rely on, and this should be stressful. Sure, you're a powerhouse, but that doesn't mean you should be so needlessly OP survivors can't do anything against you.
I've seen @PigMainClaudette (at least I think it was them) say something I completely agree with; killers aren't truly killers, they're torturers, and survivors aren't truly survivors, they're victims.

Personally I'm happy it was changed. It gave easy tunnels which isn't fun for either side, you could easily prevent rescues in general, and overall it wasn't too fun to face. Personally I couldn't resist the temptation sometimes to just walk on over and tunnel someone because it made my life easier, although it wasn't fun for me and certainly wasn't for them.
Arguably this change raises his skill cap though. Good killers, or players with game knowledge in general, will be able to roughly predict where a cage will spawn. You cage someone whilst all 3 others are on the side of the map you're on, and you can take a guess as to where they'll go with the cage because it yeets them to the other side of the map. So now you know people will head over for the rescue, so you go over there to intercept them. Suddenly you're chasing them instead and you've gotten too close to a cage and BAM on the other side again, and the survivor's who would've ran over to save the caged person now have to turn around again and waste more time.
I see ruin being devastating on him now.

I know it’s been awhile, but I remember in the PtB that Gearhead was actually useful and then it was severely nerfed and now it’s been thrown away like so many other killer perks.
I just wanted to know why, I remember some topics asking the devs but I never caught wind of the final reason. Did they ever say? It perplexes me to this day. I personally didn’t see which part of it was very strong, but I do know they may have nerfed it too hard.
AFAIK they said it didn't match their vision for the perk and so changed it accordingly.

i feel like them saying "you are free to take advantage of this bug while it lasts" is more confirming it wasn't an exploit cause otherwise people would report others using caked for taking advantage of an unintended feature.
but i will admit, getting 100k bp every time i play killer does put a smile on my face.
-
this is literally the nurse add-ons where it applies their perks all over again. these add-ons are ######### and i hope this doesnt make it to final.
-
They've said they'd love cross-progression however it depends on Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft too. As shown through the Cross-play fiasco from last year, Sony isn't known for liking its Cross-play.

@ABannedCat said:
Judging by how they fixed this: "Midwich Elementary School: Fixed an issue that caused the Nurse to be able to Blink out of world.", but did not even bother fixing her various unblinkable areas on the map, I highly doubt it they did anything beneficial to killers this patch.
They also fixed missing footsteps, which hopefully is actually fixed.
-
That's what I was thinking of when I wrote it lmao
-
Alternatively if every perk is strong, no perk will be, and subsequently there will also be no specific meta because all perks will be viable.
-
Stick spirit down to "why?" and huntress can go up a bit and then I'd mostly agree lol.
Though imo Freddy is fun to face too, so shove him up a couple tiers.
-
i mean, im a massive believer in the motto "the only gen that matters is the last"- ofc with keys throw that out the window but oh well. so imo early game right now is about two things- down a survivor and get a 3 gen. you do that one you're golden- 3 gens are the key to this current meta imo because theyre so easy to defend and whilst smart survivors may know what you're doing it's actually really easy to force a 3 gen.
-
i mean, i agree on deathslinger, but the fact spirit isnt there just makes me question this completely. pyramid daddy be packing and that alone makes him fun to play (if only for the amount of jokes i make to piss off some friends), doctor isnt that bad (though i spend half the trial in a locker waiting for head on so i suppose thats why), clown is, well, clown. countered by stealth so blendette's assemble; another killer i personally would call annoying would be oni because i just dont like him, personally.
but see that word, 'personally'- fun and annoyances are subjective and just because you find someone fun doesnt mean everyone else does, likewise the opposite- you find a killer unfun doesnt mean everyone else does.
-
I have some on her so I think you're just incredibly unlucky.
-
With bunny Feng being my best outfit im gonna have to ask the devs don't do this only because I don't have the money to buy every single one whilst keeping up with buying a lot of David's clothing.
-
All I'm saying is if a doctor suggests you avoid the game, it's probably a good idea to not play said game.
AFAIK going completely afk is bannable, however a but of participation at the start into going afk should be fine I think. Perform a few actions and then leave, open Civ 5, and check back in about 8 minutes.
If you ever wanna talk though man, comment on my profile. I'll give you a way to contact me of your choosing and try and help.

for clarification i was too @RockoRango if that wasnt very clear

I agree. He's essentially clown with a teleport. His slowdown add ons are nice though.
You do know what makes people regard clown as "weak" is his lack of movement ability, and being able to teleport to the survivors' objective's is one of the best movement abilities in the game.
