Run Iron Will? Great, I can get by that.
So... what do we do when she runs stridor? Run two iron wills?
Honestly I've been tempted to use No mither before, just because I was so sick and tired of stridor spirits. Thankfully I was seeing more huntresses, billies, and legions before I took a break.

If you're far away, you hear the phasing noise.
If you're close, you don't hear anything at all.
If you see her, she shimmers white which is hard to miss.
If she's phasing, you can still hear her footsteps and bushes move.
There are a lot of ways to tell that she is phasing, a lot of people just don't pay attention.

I suppose I'm the only who can see her crystals glow and hear her footsteps...got it. Oh and yeah stridor i forgot...that old find perk..not like there is nurse's calling, bbq n chili, whispers, bitter murmur, rancor. My bad. You're all right she's busted.
I hope you know that the issues with footsteps aren't exclusive to survivors, right? They stop killer footsteps too, at least from my own experience.
The shards glow on about 3 skins (they don't on her schoolgirl outfit, for example) and if you're close enough to see that then you're dead no matter what you do.
Grass doesn't move from Spirit.
> not like there is nurse's calling, bbq n chili, whispers, bitter murmur, rancor.
All of these but one reveal auras and rancor only works when a gen is done. Stridor removes the one reliable counter the survivor has- iron will- and means if you're injured you die. She can't see auras whilst phasing. She can hear things.
Making audio omni-directional would satisfy me more than enough, or adding a tell for when she's phasing that actually works across all her skins.

In reference to your point about it being countered by swf teams. Thats the full point though. If NOED doesnt go off cause they did totems, thats still about a minute or so extra the killer has to find and down people. If you cleanse, awesome the game is slowed a tiny bit, if you dont cleanse and rush, you get smacked and downed. Its one of the very few, STRONG perks killers have and even then they slapped it on totems because it has to be removable. Could you imagine, the sheer salt rage, if suddenly next update DS BT Adrenaline all could be deactivated by the killer by stomping on some glowing ball or something? Wouldn't that be stupid? Thats what killers have to deal with every day
You say that final sentence like I don't play killer.
I know BT and DS and Unbreakable are awful to deal with in combination, which is why I adapt my playstyle to deal with it. People trying to abuse bt, then I play freddy. People trying to abuse ds? The I just pretend to leave (it's funny when they jump out thinking their safe then die lol). The only thing that there's nothing to do against is the ds/unbreakable combo, which I agree needs to be toned down. I wouldn't complain at all.
Noed has a counter which I've adapted into my playstyle- my regular build uses detectives hunch and I try my best to cleanse every totem on the map. Just because I try my best to counter the perk doesn't stop me hating it.
Also, against a good swf, you need a lot more than an extra minute or so to win. You just kinda have to hope they're too altruistic or make a pretty massive ######### up, like genlock themselves.
-
I, personally, me, myself, I, don't like NOED because I believe it is a crutch perk that many killers rely on when they can't pressure gens successfully. I believe this because I, personally, was one of those killers who relied on NOED as a crutch, and I recommend new players stay away form that perk for a reason.
It damages their player growth and prevents them getting better at pressuring the gens, because their mindset will always be "its fine, I've got noed to rely on".
I make every effort to cleanse as many totems in a match, but as solo that's pretty difficult unless I'm using detectives hunch and my team know how to do gens (which never happens lol).
This could just be a leftover opinion from the times NOED wasn't a hex perk, but personally I despise the perk with a passion. More than most other "toxic" things in the game (except iri head huntress :/).
I don't believe the perk is healthy for the game, because it punishes solo survivors much more than swf teams, who are the teams that NOED is "needed" for as they're much stronger. Swf teams can easily coordinate totems.
I think NOED would be fine if solo survivors had a totem counter. Either base kit or worked into a perk like Small Game (even though I'd really rather not have another perk that give swf information when they get it for free, what can you do). This means it'd be less powerful as solos could more easily do totems, particularly on maps such as Midwich, Glenvale, Badham, or Lèry's.

Toolbox now are really good if you want to sabo a hook. Agree for the med kit you need an addon on the brown one if you want to heal 1 health bar if not you need to hit 1 great skill check but skill check are random. Flashlight are great you can save a teamate or escape the killer with a flashlight that amazing when you pair this with all the second chance perk survivor got. With a map you can find the hatch before the hatch spawn and find all the totem in case of noed. And key are op you can 3 gen yourself and escape if 1 survivor die and the killer just lost the match cause of that and he always have the pressure on him.
Brown Medkits have the exact amount of charges needed for one full heal. No add-ons required.

Why? This is literally what the game has turned into:
Nerf Killers they admit are in a good place. So for no reason other than to appease Survivors who want to whine rather than get good.
Survivors peeing their pants and claiming they have every right to disconnect, because no one matter but them. And yet BHVR has turned off the DC penalties.
And now Survivors, emboldened by being given everything they want over the course of years, demanding Killer-sided spots on maps be altered, because it's easier than..getting good.
And yet somehow I see mainly killers asking for a change to The Game (one of the strongest killer maps), Lèry's is called pretty damn balanced and I see nobody complaining, and I don't see many complain about Hawkins, the most killer sided map in the game.
Survivors have been given everything they want over the years have they? So the several changes to DS, the BT change, exhaustion existing and then being nerfed, the map changes, pallet nerfs, removal of vacuum pallets and windows, existence of NOED, balanced landing nerf, etc have all been because survivors were comaining killers were too strong? Interesting.
You gotta remove your bias there man.

Except every remaining Survivor would have to be in that room at the same time for a hostage situation. This is just a thin excuse to remove a place where Survivors might lose. Because whining is easier than remembering to not go in there.
Also, the devs confirmed a killer trapping one person in a spot and not letting them leave before EGC is triggered is holding them hostage and is bannable. So even if it was just one person in there, its still a hostage situation.
It's not that they want the room nerfed because if a survivor goes down in the room the killer either leaves them there or they open the door to the balcony, which is what op was suggesting. Opening another door unlocks the infinite which, well.
-
Best thing to do to get around this, lunge don't just swing. Therefore there's gonna be no way the game mistakes it for a grab.
-
@Kai6864 said:
Well if you notice a Blendette in a game, I suggest using anti-stealth killers like Doc, Plague and Freddy.
Otherwise the only way you can catch them is by really listening in for their breathing or grass moving, maybe Stridor could help there?
A normal stealth killer (Wraith, T1 Myers, Ghostface, even Deathslinger really) could help because of the low/nonexistent terror radius, it would make them a lot less scared.
Also wraith has wall hack add-ons.
At op, Blendette isn't even that hard to spot anymore unless you play ultra. You learn it through playing, just barely seeing their hair poking out or a toolbox through the grass.
-
Here's what I see:
Plague was in a position to grab but had they swung, aim dressing would've locked onto the hook as that was the first thing in their cone. As you can see, the grab animation begins to play, before it gets cancelled because of the way servers currently run, and is replaced by a swing. That swing then aim dresses onto the hook, and they end up hitting the hook instead of the Meg.

Saloon is enormous.
Midwich might look small but you'll put it the same amount of steps as any other large map.
According to the dbd wiki, saloon is joint 15th place with Rancid Abbattoir at 136 tiles. The only map smaller is Coal Tower, at 132. Midwich has yet to be updated on there.

Sadly I have no other choice but to grind through matches to gather fragments for the Rift. I really wanna unlock that last piece of Plague cosmetic at tier 65 and I still need 15 fragments to do so. The game feels like a chore at this point but I have no other option, after all I don't wanna lose out on a limited piece of cosmetic for my favorite killer.
Good news is that rift cosmetics are expected to come out in the store 6 months+ after the rift closes according to the devs so you'll stand a chance at getting it later, just with money.

having Infectious fright let you know who is in a 32 meters range will not be that good because of the fact that you wouldn't be able to tell which survivor is worth following (in case that there are more survivors in you TR). One survivor could be 24 meters away, but another could be 10 meters away. IF could mislead you in this situation and hurt you more than it helps you.
The scream notifications appear much closer and you can audibly hear them screaming when within a certain range.

On the old Bubba, I agree with you that this build wouldn't work, but now because they made it so Bubba's Chainsaw lasts longer, and moves at a greater speed, it might be a common thing to get a 2 down off of 1 Chainsaw run, and this combination of perks (Furtive Chase+Infectious Fright) would allow you to check a small area to see if there is any survivor hiding in a close proximity.
yeah, it lets you check a smaller area, but you get the exact same information and more if you dont use furtive. it's like you're crippling yourself here.

no. only because of how this feature is either incredibly abusable or incredibly useless with practically no middle ground.
-
i disagree
infectious is strong because of it's snowball potential to find as many people as possible and create as much pressure as possible. reducing your terror radius reduces the likelihood of finding someone else with the perk and they synergize horribly together lol.

Peanits has probably 0 impact on balance decisions. He is more like the middle man between mod and actual dev making game decisions.
his tag says "dev" not just community manager and i have a feeling that everyones input is at least taken into consideration.
-
@Peanits is a rank 1 huntress main who streams live on Twitch so there's one member for you
-
His lunge is the same as every other killer. It only looks longer because his weapon is smaller and because of dedicated servers, so he has to yeet himself so far forward in comparison to, say, trapper, who's weapon is as large as Freddy's entire arm.
His basekit is what every killer should have. Chase potential, game slowdown potential, and a movement ability. He isn't reliant on add-ons like some killers, or perks like others. He's completely self-sufficient and that should be how every single killer is.
He actually has the lowest amount of perks that synergise with his base kit because of the built-in oblivious. Any perks that affect the terror radius, like Infectious Fright, don't work.
The counterplay to freddy? Wake up. That's it. He's an M1 killer who has to waste time waiting for you to fall asleep when chasing you whilst you're awake. Pre-drop pallets and learn how to stay awake, bam he's countered. There are things you can do against a freddy, you don't need specific perks or items or even to change your style of play that much.
I don't understand how people have such an issue with freddy when spirit literally still exists.
-
Except the resource management system exists on the huntress. It's in the form of ammunition.

As everyone's said, smaller models so easier hiding.
So even though I usually play female survivors, ain't nobody gonna take my David away from me. Gonna play that lad to the day this game makes me quit.

I always considered that a shame considering console players don't even get a chance to buy the game considering what happened.
At least with the bloodletting it was open to everybody.
Console users didn't have a chance to begin with when it comes to the death garden set
Bloodletting, technically not since you can't enter codes on consoles and I think it was released long before that anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I'm really sad DG:BH flopped because it was such a fun game. I bought the 2 for 1 deal, sent it to a friend who was getting very burned out of dbd, and we had another really fun game to play again.
I wish it did come to consoles, though, or BHVR released the masks to all console players.

A boosted survivor is usually not deserving of their rank and usually is carried to high ranks by the help of others.
To add to this, a boosted killer is not deserving of their rank due to a specific set of perks/add-ons/offerings/characters they rely on to get kills/pip.
-
@Volfawott said:
I'm still here wondering if you're ever going to get the death garden masks for console
This I doubt, since they're still technically exclusive like the Bloodletting shirt since you had to buy the game (spend actual money on it), and DG or DG:BH never made it to consoles.

Also can I point out the fact that this perks only strength in T3 is range of downing the survivor...
Like they could've added something more to crawl speed (5/10/15) seconds rather then all be 15 seconds...
Also could've done the same for crawl speed in general (10%/25%/50%) instead of all being 50%
Honestly I'd like to see more dynamic perk effects
they want to make perks as close to their t3 varient as possible while keeping t3 actually worth it so people dont feel like they have to get t3 to use the perk.

first of all, it's 10 seconds, second of all it's for just for that one survivor that tried to blind you, if he tries to blind you at a pallet, you're gonna break it, get the hit and being able to track him even without the aura reading, except on certain maps, like said.
im out here reading tinkerer by mistake lol, sorry
-
he was fun. he wasn't good but he wasn't worst. i enjoyed playing him mostly.
however imo his rework is so much better. he has physical map pressure now, movement skills, can end chases. it's truly wonderful.
i dont want him back. he had his time, it was good, and now he's gone and new freddy is more fun for both sides imo.
as survivor theres no 50% slowdown and the braindead "im gonna sit on this gen for 5 seconds waiting for a skillcheck then sprint burst away" and as killer you can hit people you see.
please dont bring old freddy back.
-a freddy main

or when you perform a safe unhook you see the aura of the killer for 4 seconds. reward safe unhooks with bp and a bit of free aura reading.

no, it's gonna be decent on certain maps, and it's gonna come into play just once per survivor with flashlight.

the reaction to that was justified and the perk was rightly deleted. most of the other massive outcry at all changes (remember when map reworks would kill the survivor community lol?) haven't really been once they get to playing with it. everyone claimed doc would be nerfed- he got buffed. people said freddy would be weak, he's one of the best. the only time the general outrage so far has been correct has been with nurse.

getting blinded with current lightborn is basically impossible, if buffed lightborn gives blind immunity it won't change that much. It's decent now, it will be decent when buffed.

Plus, were you to collect a different item it would overwrite that item, removing it forever.
