Rip @TheGannMan he'd have loved this.

Wouldn't it be a shame if RPD was permanently killswitched like oh no I'd be heartbroken please don't do this
-
I really like Trickster's voice lines and I "hope" with some skins in the future they'll change

Do the challenges, play 1 match a day per side, and don't rush games. You earn 60xp per minute in game, up to a max of 600xp (enough for 1 fragment), so if you can make matches last 10 minutes then you're golden.
Outside of that, play the side with the fastest queue times so you can play as many matches as possible. Also, try to maximise emblems (ie don't camp + do bring regression) as you get between 0 and 3 extra xp per emblem per score. For example, if you had 3 iris and a gold you'd get an extra 11xp, while 2 silvers and 2 nothings would net you 4xp. Little but it adds up over time.

Actually Cheryl isn't older... at least 3 months had passed since the events of silent hill 3... and it mentions her trying to rebuild her life... she was 17 in 3 and i doubt someone who's all on their own would rebuild their life 10-20 years down the line because there's no reason for her to look like she's late 30s. Plus, in dbd lore they take characters from times around the events of their media's lore... laurie and michael being snatched from Halloween 1, making laurie 17... quentin from just after nightmare remake making him 17... but nonetheless... thats no reason to ease out of making her look inaccurate... afterall... comparing it too sh3's model the facial structures different, lips are smaller, eyes are rounder, the nose isnt the right shape either... etc. Im not faulting the devs for the inconsistencies but that doesnt change the fact she desperately needs a rework...
For legal reasons all characters in DBD are legal adults.

I fear we share the exact same playstyle

DS is strongest when you never get to use it. It means the killer never tunneled you, or anyone. It means you lasted as long as possible in that match and both your team and you could progress the objective as much as possible.
The psychological effect of DS is better than the actual one. The thread of DS possibly existing in a match scares so many killer players that often times they won't tunnel, even in matches when nobody has the perk equipped.
It's far from useless; in fact, the perk is so useful it still has effects when it isn't run.
-
Cheaters can ignore cross-off anyway so like, all you're doing with this is excluding the legit pc players while doing nothing to fix any issues at all.
-
Mettle of Man:
- Now takes 6 stacks to activate; cannot activate more than once in a game
- Also activates via safe unhooks
- If you are healthy and would be placed into the Dying state by any means except being grabbed, MOM activates and you are placed into the "Deep Wounds" state.
- If you are injured and would be placed into the Dying state by any means except being grabbed, MOM activates as normal
- Does not activate through saving survivors through other means
Jolt:
- No longer has a cooldown; scales as 8%/10%/12% initial regression instead now.
- Triggers whenever a survivor enters the Dying state in a 32m range around that Survivor.
-
I'd love to buff older perks so long as they learn their lesson from Boil Over- stop making perks useless in most situations and some of the most unfun bullshit to deal with in others. If something can be abused in this game, it will be.

Has the blocking thing been confirmed? That’s so dumb. If that’s the case it should just say “Block Communication” or “Block Friend Request.” Any other platform or Videogame, Block means just that- they’re Blocked for matching up with you.

I don't believe BHVR has ever straight up come out and said that but anecdotally people who use the block function have said they get paired up with people they block anyway.
I've never blocked anyone so I cannot personally confirm this though
It has actually been confirmed by @MandyTalk several times across different threads on the subject.

1) Support.
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
2) The premise of the game is you can play it as a 4v1 or a 1v1v1v1v1. Blocking does not prevent you from matching with players.
3) Blocking does not prevent you from matching with players.

So it is opposite for you?
I dunno I usually notice that when q's are longer my teammates are really random. My experience is much smoother during the day.
Edit: Sorry if I misunderstood, maybe it is the same for you.
No- I was trying to say it's the same, actually. At night, when there's a larger volume of survivors and so queue times are much longer, the experience is much worse and seemingly completely random. During the day, when queue times are shorter because there's more killers and less survivors, the experience is somehow better and the games substantially more consistent. Which doesn't logically make sense to my mind.

It's true though. When I have a day off and manage to play in the morning, my matches are way better. Far better team mates. Sometimes I wonder if it's because it the late afternoon DBD gets bombarded by the after school crowd.
It's true, I just don't know why it's true.
-
Haha hey what
-
Wdum Autohaven totem spawns are the best ones in the game I totally can't see them across the entire map.

@Shaped said:
Better than pre sbmm for me. Not always perfect, but neither am I.
If I play during the day and early mornings it is better than during evenings (eu).
I actually find this really ironic; when there's a larger volume of survivors, you're matched with worse players than when there's less of them.
-
EU here, pc, cross on.
Anytime after 4am and before 30m, killer queues take a solid 3-4 minutes. After 4pm and before 3am they're nigh instant. The hours between 3am and 4pm, and 3pm and 4pm, just sorta function as a transitional period where anything is possible, but the closer it gets to the nigh-instant time the quicker they get.
Survivor is the polar opposite, with the added caveat of getting closer to 9pm will make the queues longer, and between 9pm and 1am not only do the queues take years but also the game is a sweatfest hellscape.

I feel like one of the reasons is because across the board, no, killers definitely have not been nerfed as much as survivors (worth remembering how the game started though, so understandably so). However, individual nerfs feel like there's a lot more, because survivors can only be nerfed across the board while killers can be nerfed through add-ons or powers or terror radiuses or movement speeds, etc. there's a lot more to killers than there are to survivors, so while theres more to buff there's more to nerf.
also, sometimes those nerfs can feel... unjustified. anger tends to make things stick in the brain more.
like yeah we can talk about the time ds got nerfed to a 3 second stun but people remember it being buffed to 5 seconds + enduring changed right after too (even though with head on in the game, it kinda needed this, but i digress).
its 3am i hope this makes sense?

So COH is still a problem thanks to the core mechanic that changes nothing.
For the Twins part explain then why then the least picked killer and one that was notoriously buggy needed a nerf? And for why I said it's only nurse or blight is that while everyone has gimmicks that can be fun why is it then that the number one issue is pressure which had to be band-aided by perks that everyone doesn't have. So In order to circumvent that the only killers that can are nurse and blight due to having rushdown since oni is useless for any map with a lot of debris.
No they dont balance at all skill brackets if they did they wouldn't have gutted deathslinger without compensation, remove the only good perks to killers with bad basekit like clown and the biggest one keeping the pool of meta perks because they are too forgiving. Instead it make me think that the ringu dlc is just going to be another killer with some anti loop cause the map design got screwed and their perks are going to be countermeasure again to issues that the game made such as one for boil over cause multistory maps are now an issue. Another boon counter measure cause they don't want to rework it and another slowdown cause they can't fix that problem.
Cross progression was told that they can't for some reason but ended with saying they are not focused on that atm which like I said did not stop steam ,stadia and egs so again why can't they do it for console. Smite started as pc and has it with Xbox and switch (ps4 got gimped) so why can't BHVR.
I did not say SBMM should be shown I said it doesn't stop people doing that for iri grades so the reason they gave makes no sense since there are already "elitist" problems now if they wanted to make sense out of it it's either show it all or hide it all due to how it is now just like what they did with the mask it does nothing to curve ######### behaviour which has them now an easy candidate for the worst community due to the fact that while other games have ######### people they had more players and the devs didn't all but share that mentality other than maybe blizzard.
And also apparently you never had games or products that you felt ripped off by cause it's not me complaining for the sake of complaining it's a pissed off customer trying to figure out what the ######### going on and being critical for a company that has shown before to ignore criticism, has thin skin, allows cheating and harassment due to a garbage report system, and as of late have shown biased and a care only to sell people cosmetics and trinkets.
"Cross progression was told that they can't for some reason but ended with saying they are not focused on that atm which like I said did not stop steam ,stadia and egs so again why can't they do it for console. Smite started as pc and has it with Xbox and switch (ps4 got gimped) so why can't BHVR."
This one I can comment on because it involves fun contract stuff.
Full disclaimer: I am not a qualified Lawyer.
Basically, during the lawsuit between Apple and Epic they were forced to reveal a lot of documents, and within them were some related to Fortnite and cross-progression between Sony and Microsoft.
Essentially, Epic needs to make up all lost revenue through sales on another platform to the other platforms. Say someone bought some Vbucks on Xbox, Sony would be entitled to the same revenue as per the contract. Its entirely possible, therefore, that Nintendo has a much lower rate for this (and we don't know about Stadia or EGS itself when Steam is involved), which is why they felt like they could enter an agreement with Nintendo and not with Sony/Microsoft.
Nothing is ever free.

The generator only gets blocked for the remaining duration of DMS if it stops being worked on, it will never actually kick you off it
as long as you commit to repairing it and never let go then DMS will never activate
as for being paired with Scourge Hook: Pain resonance which makes survivors who are working on the gen with most progress scream and interrupt them, thereby activating Dead Mans Switch, all you have to do in that situation is temporary come off the gen BEFORE your teammate gets hooked. The gen will lose progress but you won’t be kicked off it so you can easily avoid DMS
If someone else gets off of the gen while you are on it the gen will block, regardless of if you're still repairing it. That's the entire point of OPs post and while before it was fine, since the perk was terrible, with it being far less terrible currently that's an interaction that may need to be changed.

DMS is like DH for Artist haha. Not fun to go against but to broken not to use.
Btw, what other killer can you snipe survivors cross map, through walls while mid chase with another one? I Feel thats pretty unique. Never seen a PH do that.
Oh no you can get birds on them... Then they repel them before you can take another shot, effectively wasting your time. True cross-maps on Artist do not happen if the survivors have any form of awareness and the closest you'll likely get is just a decently far away hit.
If we talk in theoretics, then sure. But in actual gameplay? It's never going to happen consistently especially because survivors see the auras of crows when they start (unlike, say, Huntress, who does not show the aura of her hatchet flying through the air when she throws).
-
Strong but boring. Leave a loop, get hit. Stay at a loop, get hit. Everyone says she's a better Pyramid Head but imho she's very similar in power level, but so much more boring to play as and against. She's just dull and yet another anti loop no mobility killer- the first few were okay but they keep adding more and more iterations of the same type of interaction and it's just... Yikes.
Reason why I feel like she's a more boring PH is because PH can hit through walls. In one shot. It makes it a lot more tense and just feels more rewarding to hit. But also, you only have to be watching him and what he's doing, instead of keeping your eyes on 3 crows and the killer, who then has to hit 2 shots that really don't feel rewarding and as survivor it feels like there's nothing you can do.
Also DMS Artist makes me genuinely sad.
Overall balanced doesn't equal healthy fun gameplay and imho Artist provides nothing new or original to the game.
(and her sound design is ######### annoying).
-
Spirit is... Interesting. When the survivors do not have Iron Will, she's relatively easy and incredibly strong depending on tile setup. When the survivors do have Iron Will, she feels rather powerless unless you're very good at tracking through footsteps + grass movement.
Overall, I'd like a sort of 50-75% IW made base kit whenever Spirit is phasing (she can only hear survivors at 50-75% volume), followed by (same patch) Iron Will being nerfed into the ground.
