I can just imagine how frustrating the Twins would be on Controller. I don't play Killer anymore but I play on PS5.
-
That Trinket placement...
But that's not the thing most wrong here.
That head. 🤢

Haha, I was just saying that to be an annoyance but honestly these are my real feelings on the matter
- Nerfing the mori's now have not balanced the game, they've created an unbalance as one side now has the ability to shorten match lengths in their favor while the other does not. It's not unreasonable to expect mori's and keys to be nerfed simultaneously.
- They didn't change their rarity. At this point they might as well remove them from the bloodweb completely and make them basekit across killers. It's not good we need to spend 4k, 5k, and 7k on offerings most will never now use.
- Keys are more prominent in the game now then they've ever been since the release of DBD. The timing to this nerf is highly questionable. Nerf to appraisal is helpful but the key uptick is still larger than usual(at least in red ranks). Now that the survivors see the developers will need to make a key nerf very high priority survivors are dumping all their reserves, a luxury that wasn't given to killers.
- Mori's first nerf was after first hook, years later the best they came up with is after second hook. There were better suggested fixes but dev's seemed to go with the one that was the very easiest, not what was best.
In response to your first point: There was already an imbalance. Ebony Moris shortened the game WAY more than Keys do.
-
Ebony Moris were blatantly unfun to play against and to use. Glad they nerfed them tbh

The LGBT question was actually asked from Twitter and not taken form the forums, so clearly it met the criteria of whatever process they use to take Twitter questions.
Was it? Damn I missed that part. It was worded the exact same as the forum question so I just assumed I guess. lol

I don't remember this being implemented at all. I've played since the game came out and this was never added or if it was it was immediately removed. The thing they changed to help with facecamping was unhook angles as you used to only be able to unhook from the way the hook was facing. They also increased the time on hook from 45 to 60 seconds per stage a while ago to also combat that. There is a perk that stops hook timer but no one uses it because it's not always relevant.
I don’t think it was implemented but it was talked about.
I believe they may have tested it on the PTB, or even just internally(I forget), but found it was being easily abused so they implemented that useless emblem thing that removes points if you are within x distance of the hook for however long, unless you are in a chase.

They pick the most upvoted questions, not the "easiest", as that other person claimed. They also prepare their answers beforehand if necessary (for example, if they need more information than they have on hand).
Mmmm. If they don’t like a question they don’t answer it, even if it has one of the highest votes.
Also a couple of the questions they answered only had a few updates. Hell. The LGBT+ question, sadly, was mostly downvoted.
So, technically, they don’t choose the most upvoted questions or the one most people care about. They don’t pick the easiest either though. It’s more complicated than either of these.

I see that and that's whu i ask because this can change the stats for the worst.
Yea. That's what I was thinking too.
They've never been upfront about it and never mention it when they break things up by platform. But since they mentioned it in this QnA it really makes you think that it may have affected previous data.
Any info on this?

I did feel as if it was a decent stream, though I noticed they ignored any questions about that early game mechanic idea, so that's kinda taking any hope I have for that to happen.
But as a Wraith main, I never thought the day would come.
Yea. That was one thing I noticed too.
Multiple people even asked about it.
-
They basically did say "we are looking into it" though. Multiple times.
And they technically did answer a few Lore questions.
But honestly? Other than all of Ethan's answers (as per usual) the Qna was decent.

Tonic definition: a medicinal substance taken to give a feeling of vigor or well-being.
By definition, a tonic makes someone feel good, so maybe the antidote is the same. It will, in a sense, make them feel so good they get weak, like the Afterpiece Tonic
Yea. That's why I said "Its BHVR".
I should have clarified it by saying that they turned a "tonic" into an offensive tool already so it wouldn't be surprising.
-
I think it'll be something like:
Afterpiece Tonic: Slow Down
Afterpiece Antidote: Movement Speed buff?
I can't see an "antidote" as being offensive. But who knows?

Yeah I just logged in and got the same thing. Seems like they heard people's complaints about the 10k bloodpoints and made some adjustments.
Don't get your hopes up.
This is their attempt at an apology for the mess this Chapter is.

Possibly.
In the Q&A, that is still going on, they did a weird "Teabagging" stats thing and they mentioned Mobile players probably affecting the stats.

Where do people get this its +- 6 Ranks at? Was it something from years ago that they said and people still believe for some reason?
I started playing in January and matchmaking has never worked keeping people I play within 6 ranks.
Yeah. Its something based on the old matchmaking. With MMR they shouldn't be using it but I honestly have no idea what is active right now. I think its still just a free-for-all honestly.

Having 300K bloodpoints is nice, but this is far from a full on apology. A real apology would be to take us seriously and stop neglecting the game as well as the community.
I agree.
Bloodpoints is one of the lowest effort things they can offer as an apology. The only thing that would have been worse is a trinket. lol

300K bloodpoints? I thought people were saying it was only 10000? I mean... I am not complaining.
Yeah.
The Advent is 10k.
They are also giving 300k as an apology.

@Yords said:

An apology for the Bugs.
They mentioned it in the Q&A Stream.

WGLF is definitely strong against the Twins. The time wasted after Victor gets stomped makes it insanely easy to pick people up and get away/heal.

☝️these are all personal concerns for you. Not everyone feels this way... It’s not logical or profitable (remember game devs are making games for free) to just try and cater to every single persons concerns. If these truly where huge concerns, enough that threatened the livelihood of the game, they would address them...
Can you explain this bit: " (remember game devs are making games for free)"
Very confused by this because, from how I take it, its blatantly incorrect.

I play Felix from time to time.
I'm not toxic.

They release one of the buggiest low tier killers the game as ever seen, and all survivor mains can complain about is flash lights being harder to use lol.
They still work fine to disarm traps and blind killers at pallets
So players shouldn't complain about something that is obviously an issue (the angle is WAY off and there is a weird sway) just because the new Killer is extremely buggy?
Seriously?
This Chapter is full of bugs, we should bring all of them up.
-
Insidious is bugged on Victor right now I think. He is undetectable forever.
-
New things just keep coming up about how messy this chapter is. God damn.
-
Your argument is flawed.
There's a difference between you being in the game and you not being in the game.
Also, DCing was a huge issue. It still is but at least its not as bad. Those other things you list? Annoying but they aren't that prominent.

For the legion one, apparently Frank's Mixtape was bugged and they fixed it for this patch, and my best guess is that fix also broke Legion's power. Which...how do you not notice that when you're testing the fix? ...I guess that's just basic BHVR for you though.
It makes you wonder if they actually test things after they input "fixes".
But I wasn't mainly referring to that even, I am mainly confused by the "mask defines the voice now" bug. Like, literally, how?
-
@ChiTenshi said:
Twins:
- If Insidious is taken, Victor is constantly "Undetectable".
Survivors:
- Mending another player sometimes has no animation.
- Waking up another player sometimes has no animation.
Sanctum of Wrath:
- Dropping a Survivor at the top of the shrine occasionally makes them fall underneath it.
The two actions not having animations was a thing last chapter. I'm just confused as to why it wasn't fixed. Its blatantly obvious and actually makes the game look like its in Beta.
Anyway, I'm really confused at how some of these bugs would even come into being. Like all the Legion ones. They literally make no sense. Its like someone was fiddling with things in the background for funsies and accidentally put it into the live patch.

he is strong? 100%. he is very good? he is. but he has a lot of counterplay he is a m1 killer with teleportation, but he still needs to play the looping game... and has not really control over the survivor pathing IF the surv is not greedy. drop the pallet run to the next there is not really anything freddy can do about it. he can leave the chase very fast if the survivor is good tho but there is that.
Lmao.
This thread is about his pools and then you leave them out when talking about his chase potential and power, as if they don't make him good in loops. Are you serious?

he got guted since rework, his addons are useless except for the paint brush what do you mean? he used to be way stronger, now he is way behind the top killers like nurse and spirit, piramid head and maybe hag.
Freddy is in the top 5 of Killers.
He's easy to use, all of his powers are strong and he's a normal speed killer. He basically has no weakness.

oni higher than billy?
legion in the same tier as demo?
ghostface below bubba?
are you high?
Oni does what Billy does but better.
Once he hits one Survivor he snowballs out of control. Super speed, an easy to use instadown and SUPER tracking make him a very strong killer. A single weak link in your group will doom your entire team.
In what way is rework Billy above him?

No one has a butt in this game.
Dwight and PH had butts. But they had to censor how juicy they were. #bringbacktheass

"Well to put it simply, you get an m1 on the survivor, you then body block either the window or pallet with charlotte... Then unleash victor and the survivor is either forced into a dead zone.. or forced to loop with a window (which is something that victor can deal with easily)"
I literally have no idea how this makes sense at all.
How are you hitting them and then bodyblocking the pallet/window that they would use? Are you teleporting? You HAVE to be against bad players because no one drops a pallet after getting hit if they are half decent. The speed they get from being hit would be enough for them to get away from you using Victor.
-
Its a bug.
This chapter is comedy gold.

Big difference.
Oh and look at the awards:

How many awards did fnaf get?

Therefore, don't try and lie to the community by saying fnaf is bigger than stranger things, it really isn't.
Don't let this get to you. These people don't know what they are talking about. lol I argued with someone half a year ago on here who argued that Springtrap was bigger, and more well known, than Michael Myers.
