  • Devour Hope is pretty decent on them. Once you get 3 stacks you can leave Victor to patrol the totem and go Alpha Charlotte through the map.

  • I have waited for the Coldwind Farm update since they announced the new graphics. Up until now, they have delayed Coldwind but they cannot escape from it anymore on next chapter.

  • The Shape is, IMO, the most urgent case of a killer who needs rework.

  • I actually like when survivors play stealthy, it feels more realistic than when they act bold. It makes me feel like I'm in a hide and seek game, which is one of the things that made me buy the game. IMO the game should reward stealth and individuality more than boldness and altruism for immersion purposes.

  • Rotten Fields. The map is boring, doesn't have anything special, there's corn everywhere and a lot of stupid loops. Worst map IMO

  • Spirit, since she relies too much on audio and not everyone has good headphones.

  • I would really like a "normal" mode, where your ranks doesn't matter but you can still get bloodpoints.

#1 change is for people to stop calling him ping pong boy. Unpopular opinion, I know. But as someone who takes this game seriously, you can see why that annoys me.

  • I won't say it's difficult because Evil Incarnate is worse but I will say it's unfair. While the survivor adepts require you to simply escape, the killer ones require you to get a merciless victory. It's normal that when you get to high ranks winning is going to be harder because the survivors are better, but it's something completely different when you need to get more points in order to get the achievement. It's seems artificial and feels like a punishment for those who play at red ranks.

  • From my experience, neither LoL has this level of toxicity. I guess because it's a 4v1. Think of those generic bullies from high school movies as they always walk with a group. Having a group with you makes you more comfortable with going for others, since there will be your friends to help you if you get busted. That explains why I don't usually see solos being toxic, even though it happens. Normally, SWF are simply much worse.

  • This new Blood Warden is better. It's not a specific use perk, which is good.

But the Remember Me is just "meh". Endgame perks have to be extremely impactful in order to be used, since is the time where the killer is at it's weakest. The reason why NOED is an ok perk is because it's very strong when activates and I don't see that with Remember Me. Maybe giving a secondary effect throughout the whole match or buffing the hell out these extra exit gate seconds would make it good.

  • There are 2 types of "tunneling": The one in which you waste all your time focusing one survivor and the one which you are just prioritizing a target.

Wasting all your time to go for a certain survivor simply isn't optimal. Not only they may have DS but also you are failing to press the other survivors, which will probably just genrush you.

On the other hand, if you are just prioritizing target like: You see a Nea and a David, the Nea is dead on hook and the David haven't been hooked yet and both start running in different directions. In this case, you may just want to go for the Nea, since you can get her out of the game and then it's one less person to deal with. This type of "tunneling" is completely fine, since you're not wasting your time and it will be easier for you to kill everyone after one of them dies.

Simply don't bother with survivors getting upset on the end game chat. They will be upset no matter what you do so it's not worth your time.

  • Killer: breathes

    Survivors: "This is not fun"

  • I had my first Hillbilly game a while ago. It was terrible, since I've got to do it on the red ranks. All of the 4 survivors escaped but at the end a Zarina told me that I did good for my first match with that killer. At first, I thought it was irony but then when I realized that she was real I got really happy to see that there are some nice people on this community that respect their opponents and try to be nice now and then.

The MacMillan Estate is located in Seattle, Washington. We know this from Evan's Archive Blood, Brass and Grit

Autohaven Wreckers has a car with an Illinois license plate on it and an old, discontinued offering for it was a Virginia license plate. So it's in one of those places.

Coldwind Farm is Hillbilly's realm. Hillbilly is a term that usually gets affiliated with the Tennessee area of the U.S.

Crotus Prenn Asylum is tricky, but I always just imagine Pennsylvania (Prenn reminds me of Pennsylvania). A bit of a stretch though.

Haddonfield is a fictional town in Illinois.

Backwater Swamp is likely in the Louisiana area. It's kind of known for the bayous.

Léry's Memorial Institute is in Illinois. Illinois seems to be popular.

Red Forest is the name of the forest within a 10-square kilometer area of Chernobyl.

Springwood is a fictional town in Ohio.

Gideon's Meatpacking Plant is in New York City. One of the agents in one of the movies mentions a code specific to New York City.

Yamaoka Estate is in the Kagawa Prefecture of Japan.

Ormond is a fictional town in Alberta, Canada (although there is a real town called Ormond in Ontario, that's not the Ormond in DBD).

Hawkins National Laboratory is in Indiana.

Grave of Glenvale is in Arizona.

Silent Hill is a fictional town in Maine.

I think that's all of them.

Mother's Dwelling may be on the Red Forest near to Chernobyl but the Temple of Purgation is located in Babylon which is in the north of Africa. It's weird how The Entity just stick together places that are really far apart.

  • He is the licensed killer I'm most excited for. It's a classic and he would be certainly one of most different killers we have because of his size.

    What about:

Overcharge + Distressing + Unnerving Presence + Hex: Huntress Lullaby

I've tried that build minus Overcharge and it has the potential to wreck face if they dont find the hex totem. OC would make it even more obnoxious lol.

This was the old "Impossible skillchecks Doctor". Normally, you would use a calm add-on with it. However, I don't think it works anymore, since they reworked him.

  • I find playing Pig lots of fun. I feel like a criminal mastermind making survivors play my game of luck with my RBT. Unfortunately, it's incredibly rare when someone dies with the traps, so this is a huge letdown. Other than that, I think that Doctor and Plague are the most fun.

  • I've been in love with Frank and Joey since I saw a yaoi comic of them.

  • I've already watched the whole anime and as much as I love Zack (husbando material) he wouldn't, by any means, fit as a killer in DbD. All of the killers seem like an unstoppable force, beings that are there just to kill you and you simply can't reason with them. Isaac is much more talkative and in the game/anime was shown a much more sensitive side of him. I know that there are some killers which also have a sensitive side, Pig, Wraith, Plague and Legion, but I can't imagine Zack having the same "brutality level" as them.

  • I used to be a Pig main but now I main Doctor since I get much better results with him than any other killer. I play all the killers btw.

  • I get you. I was playing Clown these days and got the Family Residence. The SWF team menaged to 3 gen themselves and get 2 of them killed only to have the other two escape with a key. On the post game chat they said that I was a baby Clown because I couldn't kill all of them. When I pointed out that they escpaed by a key they said "what were we supposed to do?". Same case of delusional survivor main, nothing new to see here.

The only Streamer whose videos are constantly used on this forum as "evidence" is not good. What are you talking about?

And well, playing Killer just got easier and easier...

    And:

"The problem is, BHVR won't balance the game around the potential that good survivors have, because most survivors simply are very bad. "

If the Survivors are very bad, why do Killers struggle that much? Because they are not as good as they think they are?

    Boy, you're absolutely delusional.

Of course it's is a valid statement that most of survivors completely suck. I doubt that most killers will have problem dealing with bad survivors. However, the 1% that has at least 2 of IQ and play with friends to win in the most optimal way are unbeatable unless you're a god like nurse/spirit.

It's not that we are pissed off that we "get outplayed" from time to time. The problems is with the inconsistency that our games go. Normally, I can get a easily 4k on the red ranks which is due to survivors making absurd mistakes or not playing optimally but some games will just end with 4 escape because of extreme gen speed without having us have some impact on the game.

It would be something absolutely different if the case was: 3 games won with ease, 3 draw games or won with difficulties and 3 games losing with 4 escape. However, that's simply not the case. In reality 80% of my games I get an easy 4/3k and 20% I get completely destroyed. There's no "in between" and what is most scary is the fact that the survivors who all die in my matches loses because they make basic mistakes multiple times. I'm sure that if these survivor played the most efficient way, then it would be impossible to have good games on red ranks.

  • Deathslinger's shot should work like old Legion. If you get the shot but don't menage to pull the survivor to hit them, then it should at least decrease their deep wound timer. It would make him at least a little bit viable.

  • Crossplay was a blessing. Queues are instant since it became a thing. Also, console players are a waaaaaaaaayyyyyy less sweatier than PC ones, so I can finally have fun with low tier killers again.

Console players also don't get access to the endgame chat so I don't have to read BS and deal with toxicity anymore.

  • Thrilling Tremors is much more of a tracking perk than a gen slowdown. However, even it's tracking is pretty imprecise. Other perks just do this job better so I think it is almost a worthless perk using.

Edit: I didn't noticed this post was necro'ed. My bad.

Survivor is the power role - "Fun killer"

Killer is the power role - "Boring/Unfun killer"

I enjoy playing against ds, spirit and nurse as they're unique. Instead of them relying on you making mistakes, you rely on them making mistakes. As killers should be. You still have input as you can cause them to make mistakes but if they play perfectly they can get you

    ^^^^^^

Deathslinger's shot is pretty much undodgeable unless you have Dead Hard, but he is only going to get the hit in the open or when you are outpositioned, which is pretty fair. The killer shouldn't have to rely on you making the mistakes and you shouldn't always have a counterplay possibilty no matter your positioning. The game is a 4v1 so it's only fair that the killer will have the natural advantage over the 1v1.

why would it help bbq since it has an unlimited range anyways.

It has no maximum range but it has a minimal range. Maybe reveal survivors that are close to you?

  • I don't care care if any of them are straight, I will ship Felix and David.

While I'm shipping these two, I would like to point out some of the killers who are smash material: Myers, Frank, Joey, Ghostface, Oni and Pyramid Head. Also, I wouldn't mind having some fun with Freddy, Deathslinger and Doctor.

  • Playing as killer, I only acknowledge that when the survivor just kneel down in the open and look up to my eyes. Other than that, it just depends on which survivor they are. If it's a Jane or David I might consider giving them a chance, everything else is just a kill zone, specially Near. Nea deserves no mercy.

    Here's the match in question.

You took control at 4:28:06 and got mori'd at 4:30:06, pretty much 120 seconds instead of 60 seconds into the match, twice as long as you had claimed.

You also were not even farmed off the hook, borrowed time didn't even activate and the killer just got done hooking someone else and you stepped in a trap. I chalk this one up to "survivor error" although I still think the killer was a bit of an ass to mori you that early.

    I love a good exposed.

Also, I wonder how many reports have already been filed against me just by playing killer.

I want a killer scarecrow with a weapon sickle blade knife reaper scythe that cut the corn and survivors.

When I think about this, I instantly think of the possibility of a licensed chapter for Fiddlesticks from League of Legends...

  • Nah, Plague is great. Much more versatile than Huntress and more effective than Deathslinger. Before reworking Plague, I would suggest taking a look at these ones: Trapper, Wraith, Huntress, Shape, Cannibal, Pig, Clown, Legion, Ghostface, Oni, Deathslinger and the new one, Blight. All of them have issues that make them less viable than Plague.

  • Oh no. Survivors are calling The Blight "fun". He is worse than I could have ever imagined Clown to be.

  • I play at red ranks too. Before crossplay, I would take 5 to 10 minutes to get a lobby in the morning and in the afternoon. After crossplay, I would get an insta lobby at any given time of the day. Magic.

  • Nurse is viable .

    There isn't this option so...

Anyways, being viable says a lot since she and Spirit are the only ones that enter this category.

  • I think that all the killers in the game are scary to some extent and have a frightening look (with the exception of Oni, Legion, Deathslinger and Demogorgon, for me, these two doesn't look scary at all). I think that the designers of DbD have done a pretty good job on making good designed killers, the Plague and the Doctor being the best of them.

That being said, I would like them to explore some other horror themes and adapt them to the DbD style. Particurally, I wish they would do a "fairy killer" next, something like an imp or a spirit of the forest but twisted in a the gruesome DbD way. Also, an "angel killer" concept would be nice too, like something that moves on the desire to punish others and looks holy and perfect but in a unnatural way that seems unsettling, just like a creepy angel statue.

  • I don't think using OP stuff is toxic, it is just using what is more optimal to win. However, this doesn't mean these OP stuff are healthy for the game. They need a nerf. Until then, it is the dev's fault for DS/Keys/Moris/BNP existing and being used, not the player's.

  • When forgetting about it's problems, I love this game so much and it's pretty much my favourite online game. The characters have a good design (both killers and survivors), unlike a lot of other online games who have a tendency to go on the obvious way. It feels very rewarding to kill a survivors or escape the trial. Perks and add-ons keep the experience fresh along with the killer's power.

  • Secondary objective!!!

  • I actually like enabling perks, even though they are useless. I have almost all the killer perks by now and I noticed that, when I level up a new bloodweb, meta and strong perks (Pop Goes The Weasel, BBQ and Cilli, Nurse's Calling...) have a tendency to appear more often than the useless ones. It doesn't bother me when I receive some useless perks since I am the kind of person who thinks "I might want to try Overwhelming Presence one day".

  • I doubt that you can depip as killer getting 4k unless you use a mori or run tombstone Myers. However, you can simply get Brutal Killer and not pip even though you killed three or even four survivors. Normally, this only happens to me when I am playing some killers, these being Pig, Ghostface and Plague. I don't know why but these killers have more of a difficult time ranking than others do.

In my opinion, the rank system is broken and makes absolutely no sense with the game, but that's a discussion for another thread.

  • I think that the upside down on the Entity's realm is simply another sub realm of the whole dimension, pretty much like Red Forest, Yamaoka State, Mount Ormond, Haddonfield, Springwood, etc. However, it should be a realm that only Demogorgon can go to (as seen in game), unlike the others where survivors can have their trials on.

  • The Blight's lore seems incomplete. It tells his background and how he got to the Entity's realm but doesn't say anything about the serum. I know this part was told in The Archives but it seems like this is the most important part about the character so it makes no sense to me to be butchered out of the base lore.

  • Quentin sounds the most natural to me. Other than that, there aren't many survivors who sound artificial when hit or hooked. The only ones that I can think that sound weird are Yui, Feng, Steve and, above all of them, Kate. I don't know why but Kate moans like a car engine turning on when being hit or like she is taking pleasure in it sometimes (?)

  • Depends on the map. Normally, on indoor maps with clean floor such as Hawkins and The Game I much prefer looking for blood since it is much more of a precise tracking tool than scratch marks. However, on outdoor maps, mainly the ones with lots of grass, such as Yamaoka State, the Swamp and the Red Forest I simply ignore it, because it is so hard to see.
