Sure, why not. Not like they really do much, and those addons that replace snares with pallets are basically straight downgrades. Might as well allow him to just switch between Snares and Pallets freely.
-
Yeah he's pretty bad.
-
Self-Care as a perk itself does not need to be improved, it just gets a lot of stigma from people using it poorly, eg: the classic self-caring in a corner while everybody else is dying. That's not a problem with the perk itself, that's a problem with the user.
-
No, a Killer who is mid-tier at absolute best does not need a nerf.
-
Despite all the marketing revolving around them (to get free publicity from horny people), Lady D and her daughters arent even really important in RE8.
It would just be ridiculous to include them over any classic character.
-
No way.
Adding a character from a new game (Who isnt even very prevelant in her own game) over one of the classic characters would be the worst possible decision, and I doubt Capcom and BHVR are stupid enough to do it. Especially since this crossover is happening for Resident Evil's 25th aniversarry. Putting a brand new and ultimately pretty irrelevant character in over a classic is no way to celebrate RE's big 25.
This would be like if they made the Silent Hill chapter focused around Silent Hill Downpour instead of the original 3 Silent Hill games.

I would support this decision, because I really don't know why there needs to be a perk-tier system at all.
Devs probably had some ideas about it in the very beginning in 2016, but now Idk what's the point of it.
I think Perk Tiers were pretty much just to fill out the bloodweb back when the game first released there were only like 30 perks in the game per side.
Now that there's like 80+ per side, there is zero need for perk tiers, they are just unnecessary bloat.
-
Perk grind definitley needs to be gutted, but I dont think this is they way to do it.
Best solution would probably to remove perk tiers, so you only need to get each perk once instead of 3 times.
Plus then the devs dont have to design and maintain 3 different version of each perk.
-
No, absolutley not.
There are so many areas on maps where the Killer can just barely make it to the nearest hook, and thats -without- body blocking, sabotage, breakout, hooks being destroyed by sacrifices, ect.
If the wiggle time was decreased even just a teensy bit, Iron Grasp + Agitation + Mad Grit would basically become mandatory on every killer.
-
Been wanting maskless Trapper and other Killers for years.
All Killers that have their faces as part of their body model and have their head cosmetic just as a mask or similar face-obscuring objects should get maskless cosmetics.
Trapper, Huntress Legion, Pig, Plague, Oni (he kinda has one, but it's not fully maskless, and it also adds more stuff to his face).
-
Every Killer should be able to compete with competent teams of Survivors, which even Nurse and Spirit can barely do.
-
Same as he was before. He's better, but the changes werent significant enough to boost him.
-
Nah, they went about the buff all wrong. Open Handed is still useless for any time-based aura reading, such as Dark Sense or Alert.
What the Open Handed buff should have been is: "Whenever you would no longer see an aura, that aura remains revealed to you for 3/4/5 additional seconds". This makes Open Handed work for both range-based aura reading and time-based aura readings.
-
Wraith looks really bad especially around his chest area. His default head piece covers it up with the cloak, but if you see any Wraith using the default body with a headpiece that doesnt cover the chest you can see it looks absolutley terrible.
-
Perk grind should absolutley be reduced. It's ridiculous that you need to spend millions and millions of BP -per individual character- just to get them kitted out with all the perks. Removing perk tiers would be a good option, as many others have said.
-
Yes. You put a team of good survivors against any killer, and the survivors will completley and utterly stomp the killer.
-
Like more than half of her addons are either useless, or are straight downgrades.
-
Bad as in it's a weak perk and a waste of a perk slot.
-
I prefer intelligent teammates. There is a time for aggression and there is a time for caution. Just doing one or the other is dumb.
-
He looks way too clean and pristine. DBD's characters should look like they took a few tumbles through dirt, grime, and blood, not like they just came out of a shower.
-
None of the above, he's underpowered.
-
Improving useless/underpowered content and nerfing the top overpowered meta stuff might as well be new content anyways.
-
The core aspects that make Survivors strong compared to Killers are gen times and bad map design. Neither of these require SWF to exploit. Competent solo Survivors still can utterly stomp competent Killers.
SWF is just a power multiplier, it makes bad survivors slightly better, and makes competent survivors even stronger.

"Anyway, what do you guys think of slugging?"
I dont really -enjoy- slugging, but it is a necessary mechanic because of the way the game is designed. It would require redesigning massive parts of the game to make slugging no longer a nessecary part of the game.
"At what point do you think slugging becomes a problem? (How many people)"
If the Killer is just slugging everybody with no intention of ever picking them up, that's kind of lame.
"How many people have you all slugged at once?"
I dont know.
"Is it a busted or balanced mechanic?"
Balanced.

Nemesis.
Anything else would be like if they did a Friday the 13th chapter and then it was Roy Burns or one of the Jason-possessed people from Jason Goes to Hell instead of actually being Jason.
He's the closest thing the series has to a monster mascot and has already been appearing in RE crossovers and other media for -decades- at this point.

I get what you mean but Jack is iconic. Not saying I think he will be it, I really don't think it'll be him but he instantly became iconic with his personality.

Resident evil has been around for a long time and when people look back at it over the years Jack Baker isn't one of the iconic characters that long time fans of the game series think of.
Adding Jack Baker would be like if they did a Friday the 13th chapter, but then instead of Jason, the killer was one of the Jason-possessed people from Jason Goes To Hell.
-
I dont trust BHVR wont mess it up somehow.
-
They did not fix a single one of the major issues that made him so bad, so yes.
-
They'd be crazy to have anything other than Nemesis. Mr. X can be a Legendary skin, since he's basically just Nemesis but with less abilities.

Isn't clock tower the one with the dwarf dude who uses big scissors?
Deformed demonic child, but yes.
-
They didn't fix a single one of his core issues, so he's still garbage.
-
Clock Tower and Hellraiser.
-
No, absolutley not. Weaker killers should be brought upwards, the few good killers should not be brought down.
-
Its an interesting idea for a perk, but its too ineffective to be useful unles the Survivors are feeling particularly stupid.

I doubt they even know grabs are broken. This would require a community manager or mod to relay the message to them.
Grabs have been broken ever since dedicated servers. So for well over a year. There is no way they don't know.
-
I've seen like 2, maybe 3 Billys ever since his nerf.
-
Cameraderie is great and Second Wind is decent. Babysitter is a fun meme at least.
Steve's are far from the worst teachables in the game, that goes to Ace.
Up The Ante and Ace In The Hole are both literally luck-based and UTA gets worse over time, while Open-Handed straight up doesnt work with several of the aura reading abilities in the game, and is not a very big buff to the few it does work with..
-
I'd prefer a total remake like Freddy got. Their entire gimmick is that they are a band of 4 Killers, but that is not represented in the gameplay at all. Stupid.
-
If anything, they should either have less or Killer should get more. 16 Survivor perk slots vs 4 Killer perk slots.
-
All the Killers are Entity-powered.
-
Even with those change he is still just gonna be a worse Plague that needs to reload like Huntress. Still trash-tier.
-
BBQ is actually pretty weak dude. If it didnt double your BP it would rarely ever be used.
-
J-Flick should be removed, but Blight should also just have his base turning control improved.
-
Literally has no good reason to exist except to bloat the game with more grinding.
-
Clocktower
-
Because It's unlikely the devs will make the definition one that people will agree on anyways.
These are the same devs who think Pig is good.
-
DS is an anti-tunnel perk. If you have time to heal, repair a gen, or whatever else, you arent being tunneled.
-
All of the above, really.
1) Option to always have chatbox automatically disabled
2) Option to remove the filter, or keep it if you want it
3) Console
-
I think you can have a lot of variety with "normal" humans by utilizing body horror and/or disfigurements effectively. Trapper, Hag, Billy, Plague, ect. are are all great, despite effecively just being normal humans that have been disfigured to varying degrees.
There's no need to go ooky spooky cheesy halloween stuff by adding straight up vampires, werewolves, ghosts, ghouls, and goblins.
-
Old tinkerer was a mess. I wouldnt be opposed to them making a Killer version of Ace In The Hole on the other hand.
