You forgot to mention the new Offerings they added to go along with Felix. The fact you can dictate where the Hatch spawns and bring a key for an easy escape really annoys me. So because of that I can't rank the Blight chapter as the best.
-
Look at the top Killers: Nurse, Spirit, Freddy. What do they all have in common? Mobility. Any Killer that can only hold W to cross the map can't be any higher than mid-tier imo. Doctor is the definition of mid-tier.
-
Original Killers can be bought for free with Shards. So of course I prefer them instead of having to pay money.
-
I'll give hatch regardless. Why worry about MMR when it's hidden? There's no way to know if it affects your rating or not. So I'll just play as I normally would.
-
Those are some fantastic numbers considering Wraith's buff is still yet to come. You must be a pretty good Killer player. If you have the time, be sure to do another 25 test runs post-buff so we can compare.
Thanks for taking the time to collect data!
-
My best advice would be to play Spirit yourself to better understand what she can and can't do. Get a feel for things like her phase duration, cooldown, speed, and how the various add-ons affect her power. You'll stand a better chance if you can predict what the Spirit will do before she does it. Granted, it is largely a guessing game. But you can still make educated guesses based on experience.
-
Like you said, the licensing issue makes it very difficult to compete. At this point, I'm thinking DBD will be on top of the genre until the devs decide to call it quits.
-
Wow, 5 pages of comments. Gotta hand it to this dude, he knows how to get under this forum's skin.
-
Bubba is easier to play, no doubt. If you wanna turn your brain off when you play Killer, Leatherface is where it's at.
Billy has higher potential - but most players can't be bothered to put in the effort. And honestly, I can't blame them.

Nah, I run Stridor cuz I use $5 earbuds since normal headsets hurt my head!
Same. I rock a $10 pair of earbuds. Stridor is kinda nice since chase music is so loud and Spirit's glass-crackling noises can be distracting.
-
Wraith has mobility and map control. Ghostface has high snowball potential. It just depends which you prefer - I prefer Wraith.
-
I think the real culprit is content creators. I know of plenty who've done Rank 20 to 1 challenges, or just de-rank for fun.
Idk if you guys remember, but a year or two ago de-ranking streamers became a hot topic. Now that BHVR made it take longer to de-rank, those people have moved on to making smurf accounts. Not to mention these people get a bunch of views and inspire their communities to do the same.
But what can be done about it? Just about every multiplayer game I've played has smurfs. It sucks.
-
Sure, if you manage to get the stun. Killers will be aware Smash Hit exists, so they may tend to respect pallets more. And once they know you have it, you're unlikely to get another use since they know you'll be going for stuns every time.
Personally I'd rather have an exhaustion perk that doesn't require resources. Sprint Burst and Dead Hard will still be the best because they don't require terrain to use them imo.
-
When MMR failed the first time, they doubled-down and said they're keeping Killer lock permanently. Looks like this feature is gone for good despite MMR still not working.
-
Deliverance + DS is just a nasty combo. The only thing you could really do is hook that guy earlier in the match so he couldn't use Deliverance later.
Though to be fair, since he managed to get Deliverance activated and made it to the end of the match without being hooked even once, I think he kinda deserved to escape. You gotta spread the damage earlier so perks like Deliverance don't come back to bite you later.
-
If I'm not mistaken, the 1st Rift was a bit more forgiving in that Fragments were earned a bit faster. So I'll pick the 1st Rift only because the grind was a bit less absurd. The time it takes to reach Tier 70 now is too much.

They don’t take map feedback often. Haddonfield is still broken. The game still has 50 god pallets and Hawkins is still a instant loss against a decent killer
I remember when they revealed their list of map changes and everyone immediately complained Haddonfield was not top priority. Now it's like a year later and still no update.
-
Priorities. They've got other stuff on their plate like DLC lol.
At least we're getting DS changes (and hopefully Object too).
-
People actually complain about this combo? It has clear counterplay, and plus I barely see anyone use it since Enduring was nerfed not to affect DS. Definitely not overpowered.
-
Gotta go fast!
-
As long as you combine it with a medkit to make use of the item efficiency as well as the speed, it's a solid perk.
-
Aside from the frustrating SWF matches, the main issue for me is the disparity. I've won with perk-less Wraith and I've lost with sweaty Spirit/Freddy/Nurse. You just never know what type of match to expect, which leads to stomps in one direction or the other usually. How often do you actually see a 2k?
The match just always feels unbalanced in some way, both because of the difference in Killer strength and the unreliable matchmaking.
-
It's unnecessary imo. It's a perk that would only help you when the match is already won.
Look at Left Behind - it shows the hatch's aura and it's got to be one of the least popular perks in the game. Why? Because it's always better to use perks that help you win in the first place, instead of requiring the match to essentially be over already before it gives you any benefit.
Besides, what's the big deal? If you killed 3 and the 4th got hatch, so what? You won already anyway.
-
If you slug for the 4k, then I'll just hide until my teammate bleeds out. You don't want to give a free escape, but I don't want to give a free kill. So we just sit in a stalemate for several minutes. It's like a mini-version of old hatch standoffs, which everyone agreed was insanely boring, so it was removed.
-
Love Paramore! Every time I hear that band I feel 13 again.
My name is taken from Ghostemane, another musical artist.
-
Entitties hahaha
-
Sure, but I don't think we'll see another Killer like Nurse. To me she's an anomaly they don't intend to replicate ever again.
-
Well they decided Killers shouldn't be allowed the same information as Survivors, so they had to come up with a nerfed version of hook counters. Thus we have this pointless addition.
-
It's a perk I love to see other people run lol. I've gone entire matches without getting any value from Leader (or Prove Thyself for that matter). If you've got reliable teammates, it can be decent. But most players won't use it because it requires you to trust your random teammates.
-
The way I see it, it didn't matter what you did. If you recognized he had BBQ but your teammates didn't, that's on them. Unfortunately you got some bad teammates and there's nothing you can do about that. It's just the nature of solo queue.
-
I certainly have no interest in Trickster. Of all the 110% Killers, his power is the least useful by far. Plague, Huntress, and Deathslinger all seem like better versions of Trickster in some way as well.
I like the neon aesthetic, but if you play to win he just doesn't bring anything to the table. Maybe if he had literally any form of mobility or map pressure I would reconsider.

I’m pretty sure Vigil does reduce Clown and Freddy’s Hindered. It’s just that 20% of such a small time frame is never going to be noticeable.
Today I learned Vigil reduces Hindered effects. I had forgotten that perk existed honestly.
-
I would also like to see the more powerful perks be limited, but then people would fight over who gets what. Players would dodge and it would slow queue times even further. It's just one of those nice things we can't have in the real world.
-
From what I can tell, when Blight lunges while dashing he's able to hit not just what's in front of him but also to the side.
-
I was also gonna mention the Japan tourney. Most of the Killers legit camped the first person and they generally lost because of it.
Also from my own personal experience, camping the first guy is a 2K at most against decent Survivors.
-
Imo what the game needs is more frequent and impactful patches. I'm fine with new content, but we need more updates in the meantime (more than just cosmetic releases). The time between patches is so long that bugs tend to stay for extended periods and people get frustrated.
I was hoping we'd see an increase in patch frequency over time, but the pandemic squashed any chance of that happening probably.
-
If they gave each bottle type its own capacity, the buff would be much more noticeable. Cool, you have 2 different bottles to throw now. But still only 4 ammo.. Yeah reloading is faster, but now you'll be using more bottles trying to combine their effects.
I think I see why people have just been sticking with the OG gas for the most part.
-
Nurse definitely can, but Nurse is also bugged. Even the best player can't outplay bugs.
-
In an ideal world, SWF would not use comms for the sake of the spirit of the game. But this is reality so I'm not upset that people wanna chat with their friends. In fact I occasionally do it myself. I don't consider it cheating, but let's not pretend comms don't fundamentally break the game in the Survivors' favor.
-
Also honorable mention to Wrecker's Yard, only because the basement is so centralized that you can win the match off a single basement hook depending on the Killer you're playing.
-
Hawkin's and Midwich because the gens are so well hidden.
Azarov's and Sanctum of Wrath a.k.a Azarov's 2 are the easiest to 3 gen imo.
Shelter Woods because.. well half the map is dead zone.
-
Everyone knows early game is in a miserable state, especially with certain Killers. I wish they had spent resources addressing this instead of the UI or animations...
-
Yep, I said the same when they announced the buff. It's strictly a SWF perk where you can coordinate saves and heals. It's a complete waste in solo queue compared to other perks you can run instead.
-
You either die a humble Wraith main, or you live long enough to become a toxic Freddy.
Jokes aside, just know you're fueling the cycle of toxicity now too. You have become the very thing you swore to destroy!
-
Late to this thread, but I just don't see it happening. Look at the other Licenses DBD has gotten: Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. All of them are by far more iconic and in a different league than FNAF.
Frankly, FNAF got lucky by going viral and capitalized on YouTuber reaction videos. Not to mention it was meant for kids. Keep those silly Chuck E. Cheese robots away from DBD, please.
-
Keep in mind once MMR is finally rolled out, pipping won't affect matchmaking anymore, and therefore has nothing to do with winning or losing. Rank is nothing more than a measure of how often you play the game, not your skill level.
-
3K + Hatch is a win. Pips and hooks do not matter.

They should have used Cary Elwes’ character. Then we could have had a Robin Hood: Men in Tights skin.
Hahah that would be great, I can't believe I forgot about that movie. That makes my point though, more people have probably seen Lethal Weapon than Robin Hood.

i dont think detective tapp fits in dbd (even though he already exists). as a saw fan hes probably the least iconic character in the movie
My guess is they chose Tapp because Danny Glover was the "biggest name" Survivor from Saw. Most of the other actors were relatively unknown at the time I think.
I would've preferred Dr. Gordon as Survivor for sure. Or even make Amanda the Survivor and have Jigsaw be the Killer. Oh well.

I like all of these ideas except 12 seconds to escape a trap. I agree escaping on first attempt is dumb, but maybe 7-8 seconds would be more reasonable. It's enough time to get to any nearby trap, but traps in the distance should be less lethal, like how Hag can't teleport to traps that are too far away.
