Death Slinger wasn't that great though, why are they nerfing him exactly?
Because he can zone for free. You don't even have to shoot, just ADS and make them dodge and they lose distance for free. He can ADS and shoot so quickly that it's not possible to react. The only counterplay is to hope he has bad aim.
-
Seems bad. +50% recharge time is not worth it. 2 blinks is already enough anyway.
-
Well if you're running this and Streetwise, then that's 2 less perk slots for DS, BT, Unbreakable, etc. You give up safety for gen speed. If the Killer catches you first and camps/tunnels you, that toolbox doesn't do anything.
I suppose if you stack it in a 4-man SWF it could be strong.
-
Jeez, I can understand the ADS nerf OR the Terror Radius nerf, but not both. They really should've given a larger buff to compensate for such huge nerfs. RIP Deathslinger.

It won't be because the devs don't want another huge backlash like they had last year.
You say that, but the 5th Anniversary was basically the same as the 4th Anniversary. I highly doubt Halloween will be much different.
-
Judging from the Anniversary event, it will more or less be a copy-paste of last year's Halloween event. Meh.
-
Quite a few on both Killer and Survivor side. I even sent in a support ticket with video, which is something I rarely bother to do. There has been a noticeable uptick in recent months for sure.
Thanks for contributing with your reports. Someone's gotta do it.
-
It makes sense though. If you're high MMR on a Killer, you've probably got the fundamentals down and can play any Killer at a basic level. They probably want to prevent noob-stomping by switching to a Killer you never play, but still lowering the rating a bit to help out. Idk seems fair to me.
-
I'll say Bloodpoints. 1 game of Killer with BBQ and an Offering is nearly 100k BP. Survivor is not even close to that, especially if you gen rush which gives you less points overall.
-
The pathing is overly complicated. It can take a while to get from one end of the map to the other, leading to free gens or free hook stages. Gens are difficult to find. Pallets feel scarce/weak except for the 1 or 2 god pallets. Hooks are generally easy to camp due to narrow hallways and limited pathing. The basement on this map has to be one of the strongest in the game. It's difficult to track the Killer because indoor map. Pretty easy to 3-gen strat as well.
Overall, I find it way easier to win as Killer, especially stealth Killers. Solo queue Survivor is practically a free loss on RPD.
-
But guys, Pig is A tier /s
-
It took like 4 months for them to tweak Trickster after release. They're probably still gathering data or whatever. I think he'll receive another tweak, but it's gonna be awhile.
-
Don't hold your breath. There's been ridiculous challenges since the 1st Tome (remember "Sacrifice 4 Survivors in the Basement in a single trial"?). Whoever designs them clearly doesn't understand how a challenge might promote toxicity, intentional throwing, etc.

Not as bad as some of the killer challenges but I have given up on the survivor one that requests you finish repairing 4 different generators in one match using dark sense. Threw a few games to do those stupid hide near the killer without being detected for x amount of time in one match challenges
Funny enough, I did the Dark Sense challenge on the first try. You don't have to do the whole gen, just be on it when it finishes. Bring Bond to see what gens your teammates are on.
-
If nobody else is gonna talk about it, I will.
People have been talking about it. Judging by your post count, surely you've seen the countless posts begging for the key nerf to come. Let's not pretend everyone is just fine with the situation lol. We're all impatient.
-
It would increase dodging, so no. This is why we don't see other players' ranks or perks in lobby, and also why they'll never show SWF. Queue times can already reach 10+ minutes for some of us. Let's not go making them longer.
-
I remember when Plague released and people complained about the vomiting being too gross. They just don't understand that (almost) anything goes in an M-rated game. People could easily just play something else, but instead they choose to complain and ruin the fun for the rest of us. I'll never understand it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Agree. The Survival category is dysfunctional in many ways. Everyone knows it's the hardest category to max for this reason. It definitely needs an update.
-
I've noticed an uptick in speed-hackers in recent months. I've been playing almost 3 years and it was always extremely rare to see a cheater. I saw maybe 2 or 3 in my first two years. But I've seen quite a few players on both Killer and Survivor side with speedhacks, teleporting, instaheal, etc. just recently.
-
Yep, I'm still getting disconnected for no reason, even after they posted it was fixed on Twitter. It doesn't matter what Killer or map, I'll just randomly get kicked. I just got disconnected from host vs. a Pig and got a timeout. It sucks.

It doesn't have to be one way or the other, you know. You don't think essentially $15 for an outfit is a bit much?
It is too much, but people pay it anyway. So BHVR has no incentive to lower the prices. Sad but true.
-
Lack of transparency has been my #1 concern all along. Now we have no way to quantify if the SBMM was proper other than "feeling." You could get terrible matchmaking and have no way to prove it. We have to trust that it's all working correctly based on nothing but faith. Time to start praying to the SBMM gods, I guess.
-
Meh, I've more or less adjusted to the new ones.
-
In my experience, it's because they're mad at me for whatever reason. They usually nod or stare at me for a second as well. Rarely is it to hide the scream imo.
-
A huge part of the fun in this game is the variety. It's not fun playing against the same builds match after match. I don't even mind the meta - it's the stale perk pool that bothers me. And on top of that, certain Killers have kits that just don't work with most of the perks, so their options are even less diverse to begin with.
-
He's a noob-stomper. Luckily most Survivors are not high-caliber, so it's not hard to win often with him.
But when you actually do find decent players, you 100% feel his weaknesses. He straight up can't use his power in a lot of areas and has nothing to slow the gen rush.
I still love playing him though. He's hella fun!
-
We've seen The Game reworked, so hopefully the team is working on an update for RPD. At least I hope they've noticed the complaints. Until then, I wish everyone would just try their best because it's incredibly boring when one side just gives up. (Although I do kinda enjoy farming occasionally).
-
Look, sometimes my entire team manages to get slugged at 5 gens, or 2 people go down at basement when the Killer is Hag. At that point I will play for hatch. If I've had a really rough night, I may just go afk by a hook and make some food or something. Just being honest. When you've played for thousands of hours, you know how to recognize an unwinnable scenario.
-
Hey man, be glad Moris have been nerfed. It used to only take 1 hook and you were screwed. I don't even mind it anymore honestly lol.
-
Head On, baby. This perk singlehandedly cured my burnout and made the game fun again.
-
It's been said a million times at this point but... We need an Operation Health. Enough with the DLC, make bug-fixing and performance updates priority.
But it won't happen because $$$$$ :)

Keep it.
This game is no stranger to addons that can carry matches. Iridescent Head and Soldiers Belt, for example.
Thing is, that is on a killer that can down you from halfway across the map. We are talking about a killer that is an M1 killer with mediocre stealth and a weak power. And this is from someone who loves Pig.
If a pig wants to tunnel you off boxes they will. If a Pig wants to poke at you the entire match until you pop, they will. If a killer wants to play scummy, they will play scummy.
If they dedicate two addons to make traps more dangerous, then let them be dangerous. I really think people overdramatize the effect of Tampered Timer.
Bad example since Iri Head + Belt got nerfed. I totally agree with you though. Until Pig gets a buff or rework, Tampered Timer is totally fine.
-
It sounds fine to me. It was a miss but it was near. Just google "near miss" and you'll find the definition.
-
He's in a similar spot to Deathslinger. Strong in 1v1 but weak in 1v4. Main Event still needs some work, but I think it's unfair to call him a weak Killer against the average player. There are definitely times when he can feel oppressive.
-
I've been complaining about those offerings since the Blight release. All the offerings that came with the Blight chapter are either unhealthy or worthless.
-
I'd love to be able to match with the same players if I wanted. They should definitely let you opt into a rematch.
-
Trickster. He may be slow but he's a chase god. Only 6 knives to injure is insanely good. I feel like people have forgotten about him because of the Nemesis and Pinhead hype.
-
Casual queue is just one of those nice things we can't have in the real world.
-
They should be removed, but it won't happen. They added Sacrificial Ward as a (terrible) band-aid fix and that's that. I doubt we'll see anything else, at least not in the near future.
-
Let's be honest, this map looked incredible, but the gameplay was bad. Basically any stealth Killer would win for free, and several Killers couldn't really use their power. Since they had no intention of rebalancing it, I say good riddance.

Being taken out of the store, previously bought characters and cosmetics for the Stranger Things characters will stay.
Ah, thank you. So I guess we're just losing the Hawkins map. Survivors rejoice.
-
Can someone clarify the situation for me? Are they just being removed from the store, or taken out of the game entirely?
Also #########? I don't recall them ever removing characters before. This can't be good.
-
DBD reminds me of those movies with how silly it can be. Good idea.
-
It's a bad perk. Good Survivors will 99 the gates and won't let you proc it. Yeah yeah, we've all seen the clips where some cocky Survivors get screwed by Blood Warden, but it's entirely the Survivors' fault when it goes off.
Now that No Way Out is in the game, there is 0 reason to run Blood Warden imo.

Excuse me? It's a literal hellscape for killers. The only killers that can try to make it work are stealth killers, and that's ONLY if they force a three gen situation. It's actually a more survivor sided map. The size alone is the best defense.
I mean, maybe against a sweaty SWF. Every time I've gotten RPD in solo queue, my team just can't find gens. People get lost on the way to the unhook so I often go 2nd stage for free. Just my experience so far.
-
Ayyyy so it's confirmed. I'm hyped! Hellraiser is one of the first scary movies I remember watching as a kid.
-
I want an original chapter just because I can get it for free with shards lol.

This is why I hid the results, People will assume here "So what? you 4Kd them and without Add Ons right?" but the problem is still there.
They burned all their gas at the start and lost because of it. I don't see the problem. Like others have said, the optimal strategy is to have all 4 Survivors split on different gens. You should be grateful they all stacked on one. Not very smart of them.
-
I understand your frustration, but to be fair they probably burned all their toolbox charges on that one gen. Kinda like blowing your nitrous too early in a race ala Fast & Furious.
As a band-aid fix, you could run Corrupt Intervention so they can't all stack on the gen they spawn near. Alternatively, try running end-game perks to punish the gen rush. NOED is unironically decent in this type of match.
Anyway, don't hold your breath at gen speed being nerfed. They want you to use perks to band-aid your problems instead of addressing game mechanics directly.
-
Definitely watch the first one. I'd say it's an '80s horror classic.
