It's hit-or-miss for me. Sometimes boons are clutch, but time spent blessing is time not spent on a gen. So sometimes I'm the only one doing gens and we lose because my team is more interested in boons.
-
Aftercare is one of those perks I like to see my teammates run, but not myself. Kindred/Aftercare is okay, but I think Kindred/Spine Chill is better. Info on the Killer is more important.
Maybe if you didn't lose Aftercare upon being hooked, I would consider running it. Good post, though.
-
Chases are what make the game fun imo, and Hag's entire thing is to avoid chasing and proxy camp instead. Boring.
Plague was always unpopular because her power is in the hands of the Survivors. She got some fantastic buffs, but I'm betting not many people have tried playing her after the changes. Probably because there are 20+ other Killers to choose from nowadays. Plague is slept on for sure.
-
Just rush the gens huehuehuehue.
Seriously though, I hate face-camping. 1 person doesn't get to play the game, and the other 3 Survivors are bored out of their minds because all they can do is gens. But since camping and tunneling are "legitimate strategies," I don't see this ever changing.
Fun fact: Camping Bubba used to be even worse, as he could hold his chainsaw up forever without cooldown.
-
Ran into this a couple days ago. Of course I was the one unlucky enough to need the box that she blocked. What an incredibly boring playstyle.
-
At this point, I'm pretty sure they've given up on Legion. There's been plenty of forum posts asking for buffs/rework with no response. Personally I've given up hope.
As for Ghostface, they just did an add-on pass which changed.. basically nothing. So they probably think he's fine, which means no changes anytime soon.
Sorry to be a debbie-downer, but it is what it is.
-
If I can tell they're noobs, I can't help but ease up on them. I've wasted a LOT of good add-ons and offerings because of it but.. idk it's way more fun to meme than to steamroll them, to me anyway.
-
The Rift is fine. It's Charms that need to be deleted.
-
As someone who runs Kindred every game, I'd be glad to free up the perk slot. But honestly the info you get is extremely good, so they'd have to nerf the effect if made base kit.
Brutal strength just needs a number buff. 30% oughta make it a respectable perk. No need to be base kit.
-
I highly recommend recommend watching YouTube guides and Twitch streamers, if you have the time. To be a good Survivor, you need to understand the ins & outs of every Killer power, how every perk works, how every add-on works etc. But most importantly, you need to understand how Killers think and how they play, which means you need to play Killer as well. This will enable you to predict what a Killer will do before they do it, which allows you to counter them.
There's a ton of resources out there for learning the basics, but you will only truly get better by playing the game more and more to build up your experience. I'm talking at least 1,000 hours of playtime before you've encountered most scenarios and learned how to react to them. Best of luck!
-
If you play top-tier Killers, then this perk isn't that big of a deal. Dead Hard is probably stronger still.
If you enjoy weak Killers, then Overcome will be a nightmare. Catching up to the Survivor will take forever, but if you let them go, they just run to the Boon totem and heal super fast. You're screwed either way.
-
It took 5 months for Undying to be nerfed, so I'll guess 5 months.
-
I see him occasionally. All of them run Ruin/Undying + Slowdown add-ons, so it's always a snooze-fest. (Why can chains hit me when I'm trying to solve the box?? BS.)
Pinhead may be weak against good teams, but he's quite oppressive vs. solos imo.
-
Shelter Woods. Least interesting map in the game.
-
Corrupt + Deadlock because Trickster is super slow and has no early game pressure. Next, a tracking perk of your choice, but I usually go with Discordance or BBQ. 4th slot is a flex slot. I like to run No Way Out because you will get gen-rushed as Trickster, and this perk gives you another 60 seconds to chase before the gates open.
Also, Iron Maiden is a noob-trap just like with Huntress. Yeah the reload speed feels good, but it's just not optimal compared to meta perks. You should also be avoiding perks that require an M1, like Sloppy, STBFL, Surge, etc. You should be using your knives for downs. M1ing should be a last resort (i.e. when you're out of knives).
-
Because Trickster is a pretty boy. I'd bet his cosmetics sell quite well, thus why they keep giving him more.

Dude, don't take offense. They may not be trying to be disrespectful. They may be trying to get you to come and hit them. More points for you (chase or chase + hits), more points for them. There aren't a lot of ways to communicate in the game, so for many that simply means come and hit me and get some points. Survivors use the same motion when greeting each other in-game, or thanking another survivor for a heal.
BS. They're gloating when they teabag in the gate lol. Maybe you do it for points, but I guarantee most other people do it to pour salt in the wound.
-
The emblem system was a joke too. Frankly, there are too many factors to consider to truly determine skill in this game.
-
Shack could use a change. I mean it's literally called "the god pallet" because everyone knows how powerful it is.

Yeah, that was one of the biggest red flag's about community awareness I had ever seen them pool. The way Boon Totems were handled seems like another. Im not against the powers of the current Boon Totems. But the fact that you can pick where they are and reignited as many times as you want? That felt like a serious middle finger towards Killer's who had been asking for the same thing for YEARS.
Well said. I've been suggesting that Hexes should be place-able by the Killer for a long time. But then they give that mechanic to Survivors instead?? #########
-
The prices are pretty insane. But people buy them anyway, so there is no incentive to lower prices.
-
Medkits are strong but fair. There are counters, like Franklin's, Sloppy, Insta-down perks/Killers, Plague, etc. If anything, Circle of Healing should be changed to account for medkits.
-
So a few problems with your build:
-Nemesis and Enduring aren't great because as PH your power hits through pallets, so generally you shouldn't be getting stunned in the first place. You should be baiting the pallet drop for a free hit, or force them to run through the pallet and M1 instead.
-No reason to use Lightborn either because if they try to blind you at a pallet, you can just hit them with your ranged attack.
-Lastly, if pure optimization is what you want, then you should run Corrupt Intervention or Ruin/Undying for early game pressure. Pyramid Head's power doesn't have many great synergy perks, so generally you just follow the standard meta of slowdown perks and 1 tracking perk like Discordance/BBQ/Tinkerer.
-
Map size is a tough issue because not all Killers are equal. Nurse or Blight for example don't mind large maps because they move so quickly. Shrink maps and the best Killers become even stronger. We need to buff weaker Killers without over-tuning the best ones.
-
I'm just amused you use the term Assassins instead of Killers.
-
I don't. Variety is the spice of life. I'd get so bored just playing 1 or 2 Killers.
-
Judging by my Survivor lobbies, the majority of Killers dodge for some reason or another. I do too, like if I'm Wraith vs a 4 flashlight lobby. I didn't used to do this, since I could just switch Killers in lobby...
-
The game has been out 5 years now. Most people are desensitized to the horror aspect, and there's no reversing that. I would like to see more focus on the horror, but I don't think they could ever really accomplish it.
I will say that Hag's traps always scare the bejeezus outta me, so there's that.

Doc just needs a more responsive Shock-to-Lock timer. I cannot count how many times the survivor is shocked, screams, then drops a pallet or vaults a window. The MILLISECOND that shock goes off needs to lock them from doing anything. Not a second AFTER they scream.
He has add-ons that reduce the delay of his shock. They're some of his best add-ons for this reason.
-
Reminds me of before DC penalties existed. Lots of people used to AFK or DC to drop their rank because high rank was "not fun." It's the same song and dance now with MMR.
-
Imo the ADS nerf was justified, but they failed to buff him to compensate. Give him some mobility or improve his game delay and he would be fine.
-
It's pretty lame that he can just facecamp and guarantee a 2k+ with noed. No one has any fun in those matches. It's just sad.
-
In terms of add-on variety, she's gotten better, but at the cost of her best add-on being nerfed (Tampered Timer). At the end of the day, Pig is still an RNG dependent Killer, so she remains low-tier.
-
3 minutes is actually pretty good for a Hex to stay up. They're not meant to last all game, they're meant to be a gamble. It's up to you to create pressure while they last. If you don't like taking the risk of your Hex being destroyed, then don't use them. There are plenty of strong non-Hex perks to use.
-
Have you not read the patch notes? Deathslinger is literally being nerfed for this reason. Pyramid Head already got his M2 fake nerfed as well.
-
@Orion said:
It wasn't intended, no. In fact, in the early days, it was considered an exploit.
It's so fascinating how players are able to warp the very nature of games. I wonder how it must feel as a dev to see your creation practically take on a life of its own.
-
It makes no sense why they would remove the notification. But on the other hand, they buffed the % cleansing/blessing penalty BIG time. It could still be an effective perk against Boon users.
-
Deathslinger for me. I was highly critical of him on PTB, but totally underestimated his quick-scope power. He became one of my favorite Killers, but probably won't play him anymore after this patch :(

Boon: Sanic Speed
Survivors move at 120% movement speed within the Boon's radius. Also, turns survivors blue. Pls no steal.
Gotta go fast
-
You would think gens would be more interesting than simple skill checks after all these years.
-
On the condition that all Survivors are downed/hooked, then yes. I'm sick of being bled out by Killers with too much time on their hands.
-
Aesthetically, Hawkins might be my favorite map, but it's hugely imbalanced. Stealth Killers practically win for free, and other Killers just get denied of their power. Funny, that kinda describes indoor maps in general.
-
I disagree, I've been having fun just playing normally. Some games are sweaty, but not all. Maybe this is a hot take, but I haven't noticed much difference since MMR went live. I play to win though, you might not.
-
Because his skill floor became too high. Freddy was nerfed for the same reason. Although I will agree this is not how I would've changed him.
-
I always run Corrupt. Imo you need early game pressure against good teams to stand a chance. Corrupt and Ruin are the best for that, and I don't trust Hexes, so Corrupt it is. Alternatively, you could run Lethal Pursuer and hope to snowball to victory, but only mobility Killers really have that option.
The day that they implement an "early game collapse" like they said (if ever), then I might finally use something else.
-
They certainly know, but it would be nice to have it acknowledged publicly. There's a cheater in like 10-20% of my matches recently. It was pretty rare to see a cheater just a few patches ago.
-
I feel naked without Discordance or BBQ on. Generally at least 1 of your perk slots should be dedicated to information. Similar to Survivors dedicating 1 slot to an Exhaustion perk.
-
Totally sympathize with you. Pinhead can be quite unfun in solo queue. He kinda requires coordination to properly counter his power. It sucks because I think he could use a buff to compete with the better Killers, but that would only worsen the solo experience.

You are basing this cause survivors can choose where there totems are.
So if you want that benifit then you should take the cost of time associated with it too.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
But Survivors can reset their totems infinitely. Hexes can only be placed once. I think it's fair to let them be placed instantly because they can be removed permanently. Also, there is the cost of time. The Killer has to go out of their way to get to a totem.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Do you really as a killer at the start of the game where you are weakest spend 14 seconds activating your perks?
That's around 70% of a generator if survivors split up. Or do you want to have the benifit of choosing your placement without the cost of time that everybody seems to be ignoring
Who says it has to take 14 seconds? Just let the Killer set it with the press of a button.
