Yeah I feel like the people defending this add-on haven't had to play against it much.
-
I don't even mind the DMS buff, but it's clear that Artist completely breaks the perk. You should not be able to pressure every gen on the map while also camping.
-
I do it all the time as well.
-
Guess I'll be the one to go against the grain here. I do not enjoy playing vs. Blight. His mobility combined with certain builds make it very difficult to survive in solo queue. Plus his lunge while rushing has some crazy reach. So many times I've thought I managed to dodge his attack, yet his hitbox still barely manages to clip me. A good Blight makes quite a powerful opponent.
Were it not for the anomaly that is Nurse, he would be the strongest Killer in the game without question.
-
I want shards, but realistically they'll probably do like 350k BP.
-
I think the perks are fine, but Alchemist's Ring and Blighted Crow should be nerfed for sure.
-
Welcome to Nurse. Consider it a rite of passage.

I ain't reading that but good for you, or that sucks whichever applies.
I mean, haha. But if you're not gonna read then why comment? Weird.

Generally you want to pick a side of the map and stick to it. Hag is the most territorial Killer in the game. You don't care if gens across the map get done, you just patrol your perimeter. Setup a 3-gen ASAP and defend it to the death.
Alternatively, you could run Mint Rag with Make Your Choice, which allows you to teleport back to every unhook and get a down for free. It's possibly one of the strongest combinations in the game.

I don't think hoarder is actually that good on pinhead? Is that me? It just tells him when you pick the box up, but he's already told when you start solving the box, which you normally do the moment you pick it up?
Franklins also seems a bit overhyped on him. I mean if pinhead chases you with the box you're gonna go down anyway right?
It's not always the best play to solve right after you pick it up. Sometimes you want to get to a safer area to risk being teleported to while solving. It can also be a good idea to just hold onto the box yourself to give the rest of your team a breather. Hoarder throws all of this out the window and tells Pinhead right when and where the box is taken.

I don't have much to say, just that I agree with many of the comments made here. The balancing decisions in this patch make absolutely no sense, and it's frustrating.

this perk destroys solo players lol.
Totally agree. SWFs will be able to counter it, but solos are just screwed. Business as usual.

I think the Developer Update posts were about changes and new features, they left listing the bug fixes for the actual patch notes.
I suppose that's fair, but still. These changes deserve a spotlight because of how long they've been requested!

Who cares?
The game isn't going to suffer from one streamer leaving. At this point there are more DBD streamers than there aren't.
Do you realize how big a following Otz has? Even if you don't like content creators, they bring A LOT of people into the game, many of whom would never have played otherwise. Again, maybe you don't care, but let's not pretend some of the largest content creators leaving the game doesn't have a negative impact.
-
Wait, that's a LOT of fixes. How did they not mention this in the dev update??? Surely they realize how many of us have been complaining about these bugs for years on end. This is great news!
-
This build will be the bane of solo queue players' existence. Most Survivors still don't understand to let go of the gen just before a hook to counter Pain Resonance. Now the gen will not only explode, but it'll get blocked too. Seems obnoxious.
On top of that, it encourages camping while the gens are blocked so... the more I think about it, the less I like this change.

I mean, there exists a possibility that boons aren't overperforming like people think they are.
Define overperforming though. Are we going by statistics? Because we all know how unreliable BHVR's data can be.
-
He is still very tedious to play against as a solo Survivor. SWFs can coordinate who should go for the box and when to start solving it, so no big deal. But in solo, it's very easy to lose vs. Pinhead if your teammates don't take turns going for the box. Chain hunts are very powerful especially with Ruin + Undying.
-
Edit: I'm dumb.
-
In fairness, Dead Man's has anti-synergy with regression perks since gens don't regress while blocked. So Killers will have to choose between Ruin/Pop/etc. or DMS.
As for Artist, it's not like she can shoot 7 crows at a time to check every gen. Plus she has to hit you with crows twice to injure and has a cooldown between shots. I really don't think it will be a problem. Maybe slightly nerf DMS's duration, but not by much.
-
My top concerns right now are optimization and cheaters. Hopefully they address these issues in Part 2...

How do you have that many shards? JFC
Play for 10,000 hours pretty much. They've probably never spent any, which is just weird.
-
They have given Killer QoL improvements. Hatch nerf for example. DS and OoO were also nerfed this year. I find Killer way less stressful after these changes. Circle of Healing is busted though.
-
It's kinda nice with Kindred. 24m range on the Killer is pretty sweet. But definitely not worth the perk slot imo.
-
Been noticing way more face-campers as of late. I just don't get it. It can't possibly be fun to just stand still for half the match. You're not even really playing the game at that point, so why queue up at all? Play something else if you're that frustrated.
-
You're right that he's not as bad as everyone says, and the overheat mechanic was justified imo. That being said, his weak/boring add-on set and the incredibly annoying roar make me not want to play him anymore.
-
I don't like it because there's a chance you don't get the 4th stack before the gens are done. On top of that, it is generally best to eliminate 1 Survivor ASAP rather than spread the damage around (If your're playing to win anyway). Imo you're better off running perks like Deadlock or Corrupt instead.
-
Only 8 losses is impressive. Also 68 hackers, yikes.
Imo Nurse is broken vs. solos. If SWF didn't exist, a nerf would be justified.
-
You have to run Plaything with it for it to be viable. They will cleanse eventually, and you only need 1 stack to get the gen slowdown. -30% repair speed is no joke.
It's not top-tier, but certainly not at the bottom of the barrel.
-
The Pinheads in my games seem to be doing just fine. Still running Ruin+Undying with the slowdown add-ons, and still mopping most average Survivors with it. His passive is still very strong.
-
Shelter Woods. It's just so... empty.
-
From a solo Survivor perspective, I despise her playstyle. Her whole thing is to avoid chases and proxy camp instead. Once someone is hooked, the match becomes a slog.
The fact that Hag is one of the least played Killers in the game should tell you what people think about her. If she were actually played more, you would see way more complaints about her.
-
Idk man, people have been saying this game is dying for years. I doubt it will anytime soon.
-
Ruin + Undying is too risky for me. I prefer to avoid Hexes altogether. Imo Corrupt + Deadlock is currently the best combo. I know some people love the new Scourge Hook perk, but that won't help you should you have a rough early game, or if there are no Scourge Hooks nearby.
-
This perk is stupid good right now because most Survivors aren't bothering to counter it. It's not as good vs a smart team imo.
-
They should just cap heal speed at 100%. That way you can't stack it with med-kits or other healing perks. Maybe even reduce it to 75%. People would still run it imo.
-
I also wish they were more vocal, but I honestly can't blame them for becoming distant. There's a lot of vitriol simmering in this community. Just watch one of their Twitch streams or read some Twitter comments and you'll see a lot of anger. I know I wouldn't wanna deal with that if I were in their shoes.
That being said, I hope they at least read through the forums occasionally.
-
The effect isn't terrible. It's just that other perks are more consistent. Sometimes you won't catch the 4th guy. And like you said, perks like Deadlock save more time overall. 40 seconds isn't much unless you're playing a Killer with mobility. So if you're a Nurse or Blight player, then yeah Grim Embrace is probably a viable option.

The kill rate speaks for itself. She deserves buffs.
Kill rate means nothing.
-
Too many strong pallets and not enough vaults. Once the pallets are gone, Survivors have very little to use. Should you get a teammate that drops too many pallets early, you will probably lose. Not a very fun map for either side.
-
So I forced Nemesis to open a bakery and sell as many cakes to the artist until she gorged herself to P3 level 50 (She was looking kind of thin anyway).
That was hilarious :)
-
He is firmly the 2nd best Killer in the game. A couple of his add-ons could use a nerf imo.
-
I don't have 100%, but no way it's worth the time and effort. Many of the achievements ask you to play with a handicap, like adepts, which I don't find fun. And some are straight up annoying/impossible because of other players. Evil Incarnate is a good example. Survivors will jump in lockers or DC when they realize you're going for it. Plus like you said, more achievements are always being added, so you're never really done.
I say just play the game for fun. Achievements mean nothing other than you might be a masochist with too much free time lol.
-
I would like to see Out-of-Combat movement speed added. After a certain amount of time out of chase, you gain X% MS. Nothing crazy, just like 5-10% or so. Only for certain Killers of course.
-
It really is S tier on mobility Killers. But yeah, no sense in using it on M1 Killers.
-
Try using Exposed perks. Make Your Choice is especially good on her.
-
everything I can possibly do to make it a less enjoyable experience
That's not very cash-money of you.
-
SBMM has been fine for me. Honestly don't notice much difference from before. I'm not experiencing constant sweaty games like others claim, even though I'm a good player.
Personally, I think everyone should stop obsessing over MMR and just play the game. It's way more laid-back and fun that way. You won't win every time, and that's okay. :)
-
Maybe? I mean it would be way easier to get stacks, but then you're using half your perk slots. Might as well use Circle of Healing instead.
-
I remember when they added the yellow bottles and certain people on the forums swore up and down it was the bee's knees lol. Anyway, they should probably buff his speed bottles. Either make the speed instant, or remove the boost for Survivors. Would make a huge difference.
