So... Canadians are officially British now?
I always knew something was wrong with these guys!
-
I'd remove this forum. Would be interesting to see where people would go crying about... well, everything :)
-
Also, please nerf NOED already.
-
@MySpaceBarsBroken you don't get to tell other people how to play. Simple.
-
Love ya.
-
Just got around listening to that Shostakovich. A bit too playful for me... though I gotta say it would fit a 5 minute Nurse chase :D
-
What is the F word?
-
@LordGlint I never understood why people refer to tryhard tactics, loadouts, etc as "ruining someone's game". You're ruining my game if you're not playing seriously, you're ruining my game if you DC. You're NOT ruining my game if you do everything in your power to win. That's what I want to do. And frankly, sometimes when I get matched against people memeing around or very casual players, but I realize it too late, I feel so bad about it afterwards. Whereas if I'm a hundred percent sure they'll do their damnedest, I will feel free to go full berserk myself.
Full berserk is good.
And let me repeat, it's not at all problematic, if everyone in the game agrees to the rematch. No one forces you.
-
@sweaty_gamer probably, but who cares, both parties would have to agree to a rematch, and both would be aware that the other is likely to bring out the heavy guns. In fact, it would be more fair than going blind, like with most regular games.
-
I'd love that option, would make the game more realistic. But yea, a lot of people would just ######### around with it, so... no :(

As a Plague main myself... where do you think she needs buffs aside from the obvious (No one is cleansing negating her Corrupt Purge) because aside from that she is fine IMO.
If you don't cleanse for a set amount of time, you die. Would be neat.

@George_Soros Thats a bad idea for 2 reasons. !, it encourages toxicity. This guy is on my "enemies" list? Time to facecamp him. 2, Since players CONSTANTLY change their usernames, youd have no clue who anyone on that list even is after like 1 week.
About name change: that would be the point, it would automatically track them, regardless of changed nick.
As for "toxicity": I'm not sure how toxicity would be defined. But you guys who are sooo sensitive to it have to understand something. Those people who bm, insult, humiliate, troll others with no reason may be dumb (they usually are), but even they understand the rule: once you've crossed that line, anything goes. I think most of them understands that (short of cheating) you're both expected to stop at nothing, play as ruthlessly as possible, nothing of that "playing fair" crap. Games are much more exciting when you play against someone you despise. That's when you know you both give your best and the other guy does too. They need to be utterly destroyed, whatever it takes. So much fun.
I'm somewhat of a manchild, not exactly a role model for your teenage son, but I just can't resist enjoying those "revenge" moments. I still remember back when I was relatively new, lost a game miserably to an SWF group, then, without any reason other than being maliciouos, the survivors started explaining in the foulest language and in painful detail how much I suck, how useless a player I am, and so on. Thoroughly humiliating. And I very clearly remember the joy when I met them again and did a very convincing 3K, no mori or crap like that either. Then of course I rubbed their face in it "How about now dickwad?". These are priceless moments, even though things don't always work out like this.
I know it's childish, and I could easily choose to shrug off such stuff, but this would be the boring choice. I need drama. I need people I can hate and punish... or try to. And I think I'm not alone. This is simply the best thing about this game.
-
I just had another idea, although it'd be probably done more effectively by Steam, not by DBD. But it could be included in the game too: just as we have our "Friends" list, we should be able to "bookmark" people and put them on our "Enemies" list. You know, that guy insulted you after a game? Time to get your tryhard gear when you face him next time. Killers would obviously have the advantage here, but it's killers who have to swallow more ######### anyway.
It would be so much fun. It's hard to keep track of which player acted like an ######### and deserves some punishment. I don't really feel like keeping a little book handy and scratch nicks in it every time my feelings are hurt.
-
So untrue and unfair. Spirit, Nurse, Doctor, Hag, and there's more. Each is unique and requires different gameplay.
If anyone misses creativity it's some players: a lot of us throws a tantrum as soon as something new is introduced, something we have to adapt to, and relearn the game a little.
-
I wanna Blink with him. Would be an amazing spectacle.
Or just let him ride Maurice and run down survivors.
-
@DBD_Pinhead @Andreyu44 moris are cheap. Winning with a mori is not really winning, unless you hold it for after their second hook stage. Likewise, losing against a killer with mori can still be a win. Not talking about pips here, but actual performance. On the other hand, some moris are pure beauty. Just review your definition of "win" and "loss", and you'll see they are not a big deal.
-
No. That map is quite bad for Nurse, and 3 blinks is not a gamebreaker: hard to go against, sure, but only a loser would DC because of it.
The Game screws with Nurse big time. Lots of buggy places where she can't blink through, lots of cover to lose her. Just man up and play that game! You'll be a better person.
-
Hm, ok, why don't the two ugliest sonsabitches in the game get some love?
I'll gladly explain. Number one rule of life: don't be ugly.
-
There is something like 0,5-1 second delay between you pressing space and the pallet hitting the killer's head. It's in a way realistic: it takes time for falling objects to... well, fall. The killer has this small window of time to hit you. Intended, not a bug, not a programming mistake. It can be countered too, by either dropping earlier, or baiting a hit but continue running, so killer will miss one. Risky, but may give you an extra round or two around the loop.
Lag can obviously make it really bad, but that's a whole different question.
-
I love repairing generators. It's literally my favourite part of the game. I'm so pissed when the killer comes and disrupts me.
-
More than half of the stuff listed are important parts of the game. In DBD, you just have to deal with the randomness: sometimes the deck is stacked against you. Instead of demanding removal of everything you don't like, just learn to appreciate a challenge.
-
It would be great. I wouldn't expect to see rematches happen very often, but they'd be welcome. "Toxicity" is no problem, after a tight first round everyone would go tryhard, which is good for the drama. Only real issue would be farming, but if it's consensual, then it's ok.
-
Uh, just don't buy them. Geez.
-
Wait, Plague? I always thought that skinny lady was a survivor??!!
-
Hate to point out that it would cease to be a challenge perk then. If it was up to me, I'd just disable injured music.
-
@QueenOfHearts ok, I know it's bait but I'll play along.
There are four survivors. FOUR!!!! That is four times as many as killer (there's only one killer in the game, sadly). Imagine that. Imagine how threatened we feel against four evil creatures, armed with toolboxes and firecrackers.
We need the best perks to face that horror.

So you run into a theatre yell "FIRE" then run out and hide?
Maybe you shouldnt say inflammatory trolling statement you know to be an insult just to derail a thread before retreating?
I think with a name like george Soros youre just here to troll anyway.
@DrDeepwound, no, not only trolling. Just mostly. But you gotta admit, the whole "problem" of streamsniping presented here is just some undignified bellyaching about something that's easily preventable, and, while scummy, not a big deal to begin with.
-
@RoKrueger I love you so much.
-
I'm already doing it, regardless of BP. Btw, even now, you can have the same BP/hour gain as survivor, just use Prove Thyself that maxes out your Objectives score very fast, then chase the killer to get your Boldness points, until you die. You can play three such games by the time you play one killer game (especially if you include lobby waiting time). Take BT and WGLF for increased effect.
Not against BP increase for survivors, just saying.
-
If you did not have them, they'll be teachables, and have to be unlocked. If you already have them, you'll be banned for having access to perks you're not supposed to.
You're welcome.
-
Hey just learn to appreciate when you meet nice survivors. There are more of those than you'd think, it's just we remember the butthole ones. And you shouldn't care if someone had a cake, BPS or anything: the unruly types will not appreciate the fact you let them farm, and the mature ones will not mind so much that it didn't work out for them. Keep in mind, most players have a number of the best BP offerings anyway, so it's not such a big deal if they go to waste. And farming is horribly boring.
Just try to win your games, always. If they're the rude kind of survivors, you can rub it their face, it feels good. The more chill survivors will still say gg and move on.
-
No lol, but it's a hilarious idea. He should definitely say "hot" and "cold", depending on distance.
-
Nurse is good. Why would you want to change something that's good?

So all someone has to do is just beat the stream sniper, and that magically makes all stream snipers stop? good logic, I like that. Happy endings
That's like the equivalent of saying, a child being abused by parents, all the child has to do is just call the police and that will just stop it, it won't stop if the parents aren't divided yet or something more serious is done.
@MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky again, the child comparison is wrong, there is very little an abused child can do, unlike a streamer. And yes, if he defeats the sniper, preferrably multiple times, he'll stop. Trust me on this.
That's what one has to do if abused by someone else: hurt them so much that they'll stop. It's both effective and fun. Definitely beats crying for outside help (though I don't know if True actually wanted the guy banned, or it's only his fanboys and fangirls campaigning for it).
-
@SovererignKing "Sounds to me like you have a personal axe to grind here, and are being totally disingenuous with your arguments simply talking out of spite."
True.
-
@MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky a child is defenseless, a gamer in a game is not. All he has to do is to beat the streamsniper in a series of games, and everyone will be happy. Especially crazed fanboys and girls.

"Find a real job"
- Definition of a job:a paid position of regular employment.
- synonyms:position of employment, position, post, situation, place, appointment, posting, placement, day
- 2.
- a task or piece of work, especially one that is paid."she wants to be left alone to get on with the job"
"A task or piece of work, especially one that is paid." Yeah, streamers get money for what they do so it's a job whether you want to believe it or not. I guess it's only a job if you hate it, eh?
@ShrimpTwiggs I don't want to discuss this here, it'd turn into flames.
My point is, streamsniping is the streamers' problem. They should deal with it. Hey, isn't True one of the most shining example of a streamer who thinks of himself as a legend? I mean, even his name... Surely he could deal with a streamsniper, regardless of their unfair advantage?
-
Sorry, but killer side has received a lot of balancing. It's actually better now than "back in the day".
-
Like it. We need survivors we can hate. I mean, we have Claudette, but you know what I mean.
-
Who is Legion?
-
Lack of communication and information is the thrilling part of the game: you have to keep guessing, you have to guess right, you have to consider whether to save others or let them die... I personally much prefer solo to SWF, partly because of what I just described, and obviously for the unfair advantage of SWF.
As solo, if you play smart, you can let others get chased, injured, hooked first, letting you get more Objectives points and then you can farm a lot of Altruism out of them. It's perfect, unless you're cocky.
-
Toxic clown, don't believe anything these guys have to say. Survivors are pure evil, wicked, rotten to the core. That's why they keep doing their evil things: generators, looping, messing with exit gates when they're clearly not supposed to. They have a herd mentality, so they enjoy the warmth and protection of the group, but just like untrained dogs, they also tend to bark and growl at each other.
They are duplicitous, undisciplined, filthy creatures. The only way to purify them is by the hook.
-
There is a LOT of lost potential in the "survivor vs survivor" aspect of the game, sadly. Whole builds could be created from that, and more: new, more selfish characters and perks. Us killers would be able to take advantage of them working against each other, and as survivor, the sole objective of outliving the other three would make some exciting games.
I'm kinda sad the game took another direction with SWF and a lot of help for altruistic style. I guess the devs had no choice, it's much more popular this way. Still, I'd love a game where I'm only supposed to help others stay alive as long as they're useful to me.
-
@ShrimpTwiggs it's still a minor issue. Stream delay solves most of the problem, as for perk loadout, they don't win you the game. CS is useful against Doc, but not that much.
But mostly, streaming as a career? Why would anyone want that as a career instead of doing something productive? Honestly, the sooner a streamer is fed up with trifles like this and finds a real job, the better.
This whole streamsniping thing is not the game's problem, not the devs', not the community's, just some guy's who by the way has all the tools available to prevent it.
-
@ShrimpTwiggs yeah lol I'm being disingenuous there. I find most streamers are such clowns, I have a hard time resisting to make fun of them. Of course streamsniping is very literally cheating. But Peanits did a great job explaining how it's impossible to control, so they don't ban (presumption of innocence, makes sense).
And then there's the argument that if you put your purse on a train seat and fall asleep for an hour, you're somewhat responsible if it gets stolen. It's still on the thief, but it's hard to deny your own stupidity there. So, if someone doesn't want to be streamsniped, best way is not to stream.
-
@SeanLeo97 repair five generators before the killer kills all three of your teammates. Then you're in a good spot.
Also, if you're smart, you can start looking for the Hatch BEFORE your last friend is killed. Then, just let them die and escape.
Why would you think you should win if it's only you against the killer? Makes no sense.
-
I agree with the title. Increase use of NOED! It's a fun perk, though somewhat weak. Still, people should use it more.
-
Yeah @lostkq like Tsulan said: not to dismiss what you say right away, but I'd be interested in some of them "good ideas". I read this forum a lot, and my impression is, 90% of survivor sided suggestions here are written out of frustration over lost games, and they propose unnecessary changes. So, please: examples.

I usually don't have WGLF on my build since it's hard to get stacks. Most of my games already have people going for the saves, so I end up getting 1~2 at most. Less if the killer decides to camp. I haven't tried Diversion all that much, but people look like they have fun with it lol.
@fluffymareep yeah hook rescues are often a race (it's either "who gets there first" or "who is more eager to do an unsafe rescue"), unless you're playing with decent survivors. I usually don't try to go for 4 stacks, but even 1-2 is nice.
But man. Diversion!!!! It's awesome. I mean, I ######### it up 70% of the time, but even that is funny. And when I actually get into a jungle gym with a Nurse breathing down my neck, and I manage to time it perfectly, while she's in fatigue, and she actually loses me... I feel like next level legendary 3000 IQ genius master survivor. Better than sex!
Ok I take that last bit back. But still feels great :)
-
Yea, depending whether I want to farm (Prove Thyself, WGLF), going for a daily, etc. Occasionally I play with a friend or two, that's also a different build (We're Gonna Make It is a must), and then there are those times when I just want to have fun, then there're time for Diversion!
And obviously, you gotta mix your perks up as killer. Nothing is more enervating than using the same crappy Ruin+BBQ+Nurse's mix or that horrible SF+Enduring combo.
