Myers seem to be a big favourite around here. I don't know about it, but often when I play him, survivors just offer them for the hook ("often" does not mean every second game, but it still noticeably mroe frequent than with any other killer).
Myself, it's the Huntress who makes my heart pound with LOOOOOOOOOOOVE. Tall, strong, Russian lady... just the woman of my dreams!
-
I used this combo quite a few times (when I got sick of endless looping), but my experience is it's not worth it. Seems a very strong loop counter, sure, but unless you're using a killer with high mobility, it won't help you at all against genrush, and you still will be looped, just for a shorter time. Assuming you're up against experienced survivors, they just know to drop pallets earlier.
The only way it ever works out for me if, 1/ I find a survivor VERY early, and 2/ I down & hook the first one VERY early. That slows down gen time enough, especially if more than one comes for the rescue.
The annoying truth is that there isn't any perk build that beats high mobility. What's the most common trait of the three (arguably) strongest killers (Nurse, Billy, Spirit)? Yeah. Mobility.
One funny thing though, this build does work better against cocky loopers than proper, smart, stealthy survivors. A stealthy group can destroy the killer with such a build.
I'd be curious though if someone else has a different experience with this combo.

Same as all killers: Insidious and NOED
:)
-
@deathsia we need the lunge: whenever I don't want to kill a survivor outright, either because I don't want to deplete EW3 or I just want more points/pips by hooking them once or twice and THEN killing them, it's the better option.
Seriously, practice the timing, get intimate with your target and only click when they're right next to you. As I said earlier, the "Kill" prompt really helps.
-
Survivor, especially solo survivor is the most fun. No insane time pressure (like when you play killer), no worries that you let your SWF friends down... just fun and fun and more fun all the way up to the hook. Sure, I die a lot but that doesn't break my spirit. (That's the part the saltier half of the community don't seem to get.)
-
wait for the "kill" prompt on the bottom of the screen. I piled up about 30 Tombstone pieces and use them sometimes... experienced no problem at all. Not saying it's impossible that it's bugged, but I suspect you just press M1 too soon. I may be wrong of course.

The sound of a DC :)

Anything Ghibli. Well, almost anything.

If Nurse would have been released today, she would have some Downsides. Maybe not seeing Stratchmarks when charging a Blink?
Since Killer Mains indeed would riot if they would nerf one of the Top Tier Killers, this will not happen.
But lets say, they want to nerf something - they can nerf the Add-Ons, sure. Nurse does not need more than 2 Blinks. Nurse also does not need Omegablink. The overall concept of her might also be changed, but those would be quite heavy Nerfs. And I can imagine it would be hard to balance it in a way that she is not too weak afterwards and also be able to have some Nerfs AND to make Killer Mains happy.
Yeah, it will not gonna happen.
@Aven_Fallen I'm killer main, if anything, and I'd be a hundred percent behind a nerf to Nurse. It's a difficult task, but I'm very much for bringing top and bottom tier killers closer together. Which basically means nerfing Nurse, and MAYBE Billy (just a light touch), and possibly buffing the rest; again, just a little.
What you're suggesting about scratch marks while charging (or while fatigued) by the way is a good approach... I think.

You can play survivor without perks just fine, you know.
@Orion I'm not sure. I'm quite a potato survivor. At the very least, I need Urban, all other perks be damned.
-
I got it all lined up: 1 000 000 BP, three dailies done but reward not claimed, and 8000< Iridescents. I know it's childish, but I just can't wait.
I'm wondering though: would it be smarter to level up Ms Gargantuan Ass first? Isn't it usually the case that with a new chapter, plenty more people try playing killer?
-
@Emeal it's too late.
The thought of how many times could I have travelled to interesting places, meet interesting people, gotten laid and so on, if only I had not P3-d and fullperked up 9 killers and 2 survivors...
Sad indeed.
-
I'd point out like others, that:
- Survivors often spend shorter time in a match than the killer (if they die).
- Not only they get to keep their items and addons if they survive, they can even get some for free from chests.
- For survivors, you don't need to level all of them, since they're just skins. For killers, unless you stick to one, you gotta level them all up.
- Survivors don't really need items: they're helpful, but you can be perfectly good without them. Many killers however, are very addon dependent.
With all of that said, I actually agree about a few things. Survival category should be raised somehow, either the reward for escaping (6-7000 instead of 5), or increase the points for healing yourself, struggling on hook, maybe for kobe as well.
More importantly, the grind being as hard as it is, the whole BP system needs a bit of a buff. I understand the reason for it (incentive for playing a lot), but it's a tiny bit too much.
And one issue very close to my heart: we all know how frustrating it is when we take our Cake/BPS, only to get moried two minutes into the match (2000 BP MULTIPLIED BY 2, yaaay!). Some people say Ebony should only let you kill people after their second hook, but it would make it a pointless offering. Rather, it should give a 25 or 50% BP bonus to survivors. Would decrease salt on survivor side without harming the killer.
-
I'd put the Doctor on the first place. Sure, he's weak, but such a pain in the ass.
-
@Warlock_2020 oh I agree, it's embarrassing to see the guy you annihilated is rank 18. And if there are enough players, it's much better to match the ones with similar ranks together.
But in case there are not enough players, a good solution would be to SEE the ranks of my survivors in my lobby. So I'd know which one I should go easy on, and to which one should I show no mercy.
-
I just heard from a reliable source at BHVR: due to technical issues, they won't be able to release the Plague this spring.
But to make up for it, they're going to release a new QOL patch instead, complete with big buffs for Legion.
-
I second the OP. The number of keys IN CHESTS is absurd lately. Changing it after last event was a bad move. Btw, same as @Tzeentchling9 , I recently had a game where a survivor told me he found three purple/pink keys in three chests. I don't mind it if there's a 1% chance to find one, but it happens way too often.
Or give me a chance to search chests as killer, and occasionally find an Ebony :D
-
You'd miss out on a lot. A huge number of players are chill, funny and kind. I love those jokes thrown around after games. After game chat must stay (it will, so no worries).
Just close it with the little icon when you see you're playing with Russians or French.
-
Guys, stop with the flaming. Keep it mature please...
I don't think this crusade by some players against Legion is worth taken seriously. Legion is nowhere near the level of Nurse, not even Billy. People will eventually learn to counter him (the smart ones already have), and then all these complaints will slowly disappear.
A lot of "arguments" on this forum are just nonsensical. "NOED rewards bad killer performance", "DS has no counter", "Legion has no counter", "Legion gamestyle is braindead", "Adrenalin is OP", these are the most common, and there are others. These, *cough*, "arguments" are not only absurd, but they spread like an epidemic. Same way as people pick up words from streamers who struggle so hard to look intelligent ("optimal gameplay", "momentum"), players copy these rhetorics and put them in their post. Because 10 dollar words supposedly make you more convincing.
Guess what, they don't. If your statement is BS (like the one about Legion being uncounterable), no smartass phrasing it will make it correct.
-
Bamboozle + any other three perks, really.
-
Oh I remember when I started to play killer (2018 August or around): survivors in my games were at each other's throats, arguing about "Freddy is OP" vs "Freddy is horribly weak"...
Good times!
-
Win.
-
You'll get used to it. It's the same as the horror element or gore: disgust wears off the same, after a while.
It's all just pixels you know!
-
Putting people together with a big difference in rank is no big issue. Newbies should learn, if it's the hard way, so be it. Trust me, most of them will not mind it as long as we're not acting like ######### after game.
The real issue is how often you get people in your lobbies literally from the other side of the planet. It happens to me way too often. This should be fixed.
-
Only works on small maps, and with Distressing. Survivors rarely heal in your TR anyway, only if they don't really have a choice.
I'd love to do a fun build though with Distressing, Coulrophobia and Dark Devotion.
Oh and a side note: why is it that about 80% of players can't spell Coulrophobia correctly? Come on people, it's not that hard.
-
There's rumors Dwight has a habit of stealing ladies' clothes. Mind you, it's usually underwear, but who knows, maybe his preferences changed.
Better look at his skins too.
-
Hatred is fun. Have you ever killed anyone? Let me tell you, it's so much more satisfying when it's someone you hate. Otherwise, you know, it's just another job. You gotta have passion!
-
Survivors still alive. Unacceptable.
-
@infamous90 they don't just hate survivors, they hate you personally. Trust me on this.

The Legion experience
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/014/U2OWT46RX0YN.jpg
So full context: I had a daily to chase people for 3 minutes as Legion. I slapped on some low tier addons and my usual build (forgot to unequip Franklin's lol) and went into a match.
I find a Kate (Twitch Streamer #1 [Green]) and hit her with my power. She pallet stuns me so I follow her and hit her normally. She DCs instantly.
Find Jake (only person who didn't DC) and chase after him a bit before downing him. By this point they've found my Ruin and have already done a gen since the map was bad and Jake was good at pallet stunning me.
Hook Jake and he gets unhooked instantly by Feng Min (thot with a "Kawai" Susy profile image [White]). Hit them both with FF and chase Feng. She pallet stuns me and teabags me but I just chase her normally and eventually down her. She DCs instantly.
Find Jake again and hook him. See last Survivor (Twitch Streamer #2 [Orange]) going into the basement with BBQ so I go there. Find them in a locker just as Jake suicides. They DC on my shoulder.
This was more-or-less the full chat exchange after that match. They had done 3 gens in the time it took me to chase Jake the first time and then find him the second time, even with the DCers. Honestly if not for the crybabies who DCed on first down they could've easily escaped with 3 or even 4 people given that they all had Borrowed Time.
I think the crown jewel of this whole exchange is the thot telling me that they're a Rank 1 Killer. Yeah sure m80 the Rank 11 Survivor who runs two Exhaustion perks and doesn't know what Barbeque and Chili does is actually a Rank 1 Killer.
I checked her profile (just to see if she was also a Twitch Streamer; it's how I saw her thot profile icon) and she doesn't have the achievement for Rank 1 Killer or Rank 1 Survivor. If you're going to lie at least try to hide the evidence.
That's it! I alawys liked switching between killers, but it has to be over now. From now on, I'm gonna restrict myself to Legion and Legion only! So much fun!

So you're saying you wouldn't care if survivors brought a 4 man swf with the sole purpose to gen rush and run you around for the entire match, getting looped for 5 gens. Then you complain about that because it isn't fun for you but they don't care if you're having fun or not
You won't see me complaining. If both groups do their best, killer can be very hard, but that's the way it must be to maintain a healthy survivor/killer ratio, so I see no point in crying about it. Also, I never said survivors are supposed to make the game "fun" for me. They just have to learn to find fun in dying. That's what they're there for.
-
How is that "wasted" time anyway? I can't get enough of admiring the beautiful spectacle of a survivor's life slowly running out...
-
All I want is to kill those little vermin infecting the Fog. I don't give a toss whether you're having fun or not. That's up to you.
-
It really would be out of place. I don't give a damn about lore either, but those short backstories of killers do breathe some life into them. Easier to identify with them that way (Clown, Trapper!)
I wonder what a xenomorf's backstory could be. Raised by a single mother, been bullied in a hive as a kid, living on the street since the age of 16?
-
Not such a big deal. I'm guessing most of these poor souls have only a handful of viewers.
-
It's great, despite all the problems, mostly technical, like crashes, infinite loading, freezing.
Lots of complaints here in the forums may make it look like it's in a terrible shape, but it's just because we all tend to speak more about problems than what's good. Balance is great, still favors survivors, but I don't think the devs can go any further without risking the survivor/killer ratio, so it's okay. Toxicity is not a real problem, weaklings who can't take are free to leave and the ones with a sense of humour can stay.
And new content comes out about every three months. Even though sometimes it's not perfect, there's always something of value in there.

-
Geez, reported them? For what? For saying your twitch sucks? Come on...
-
All I care about is if there are some 250000 BP perks among them. Sadly, not this week.
-
I've just remembered though: after one such game, the survivor accused me of lagswitching. As laughable as it is to see this accusation coming up so often, I guess it's a sign that the survivor was NOT cheating. Unless he's an extremely cunning one :P
I want to add a side note here: the reason I don't worry too much about cheating, even though it probably exists, is that it's got to be VERY boring. I mean, how much of a singleminded personality someone must be to play a lot with cheats? Sure, some may have some "fun" with it for a while, but I don't think most people can continue doing for a long time.

Giving this kind of vote to either side is a problem because, as I mentioned, SWF would abuse it if it were on the survivors alone, and killers would abuse it if it were on them alone.
Yes, I agree it's a problem, but it has a very real solution that only requires that the devs fix the features we currently have, as opposed to creating new ones that might introduce new bugs.
Heh. Always the pessimist eh?
-
- Evil incarnate I made a stock of 50 tombstone builds over winter solstice, but got it on first go!
man I find it hilarious... It's not like you're ever gonna need those Tombstones again.

I almost always use Balanced Landing. So, in Shelter Woods, I'm pretty much screwed :9 Only place to drop is the killer shack stairs.
On the other hand, I love the Game both as kille and survivor. Such a fun map!

@George_Soros @se05239 Or it'd give survivors full control over killer offerings, since they'd just DC with impunity every single time they saw something they didn't like. Personally, I'd like to try to minimize DCing.
@Orion then all moris, map offerings and shrouds, or possibly all offerings should be secret. Or, alternatively (I think I'd go for this one): any player at the beginning of a trial could start a vote: if the majority of survivors plus the killer all vote "yes", game would end.
Not sure any of this is perfect, but I mean, you agree that 3-2-1- survivor games, even with reduced number of generators are a problem that needs to be addressed, don't you?
-
Excellent idea.
@Orion said:

What if a survivor DCs on the offering screen?
@Orion then the rest of the players should be free to decide to leave the game without consequences. It's not something that would help against chicken survivors who DC when suspecting a mori, but that's another problem.

@FuckGhermans I'm pleased to see my point about insulting others went through.
-
@FuckGhermans insulting the other only undermines your point, even if you happen to be right. As for breaking line of sight: it is entirely possible. Quite difficult when he's in Feral Frenzy and chasing you, but it can be done in a jungle gym. And it becomes much easier when he hits you the second time: you don't leave scratch marks while he's stunned. You just have to be prepared.
And on a side note: Germans are awesome, I love them.

Right, tell me how to counter Legion. I'll give you a reason why any of those ideas will never work.
Split. Run. Break line of sight while he's in FF. And genrush.
You're welcome. Don't trouble yourself explaining why these don't work. These DO work. That is not equal to saying these ALWAYS work, they can be difficult of course. But that's the point: difficult is good, easy is bad.

How can a survivor lagswitch? Thats possible?
@Doc_W__HOLLIDAY , I thought so myself, but had a number of games with a survivor doing the exact same thing that @Boss describes. Looks like lag, but it makes the survivor have these tiny bursts of speed just at the most opportune moments of the chase, making it impossible to catch up to her/him.
I'm normally very cautious to cry "CHEATER" when things seem suspicious, but it was weirdly convenient, and happened at least twice. Survivor's ping was normal in the lobby as well, I know it doesn't mean they can't still have lag spikes during game for various reasons, but still...
We all see those videos on YT or Twitch where the streamer faces some 3x speed hacker, and we all recognise obvious lagswitching. But I assume there must be some (I'm guessing very few) players who do cheat, but do it with discretion. I try not to worry about it too much but it does bug me a little.
