  • Aesthetically, great, as always.

Size-wise, I read somewhere it’s around the same size as Father Campbell’s, so that’s fine with me (for now).

Not sure about the layout itself. I’ve only played on it once, so I really can’t make a proper judgement of that yet. Once again not the biggest fan of the breakable walls, though. Especially on the ground floor.

  • You’ll have to contact support, I think. Though I’m not 100% sure that it’s same process for mobile.

  • Graphics aren’t everything. If anything, “realistic graphics” like this are a sure-fire way to make a game look dated later down the line.

Also, as others have stated, there are simply way too many issues that are far more important.

  • I mean, ackowledgement is a first step. We haven’t even had that yet.

  • Wraith. Huntress occassionally as well.

Dunno why people say Nemeses camp so much, I have yet to see one do it.

Hope 4 hooks spread equally around map. But I saw 2 Pumpkin hooks spawn on the same side in Azarov...

The pumpkin hooks can also be scourge hooks. Well, could, anyway.

never mind me. this is what I get for being sleep-deprived.

  • I’d change it so that the scatchmarks you see are very clearly indicating in which direction the survivor ran. Maybe also add specific colour-coding or specific shapes to help distinguish between specific survivors’ scratches.

  • To be perfectly honest, I haven’t found any killers’ default design scary/horrifying since Doc. But then, purely visually speaking, hardly anything scares me anymore. Repeated exposure does that to someone.

I do think she looks cool, though. Even though I’m not that big of a fan of the dress. We’ll see what her options will be in the future.

The quality of my matches has started to feel completely random this past week TBH, regardless of the time of day.

This. I was on an escaping streak a few days back, and I kept getting matched with progressively worse teammates. There were a handful +-50 hours players in there. The killers didn't seem to change much, although there's a very noticeable increase in Bubbas.

An apology for the NFT debacle.

That'll have to come from Boss Protocol, since they're the ones behind them, not BHVR. And you're really not gonna get it from them either.

Liquified gore, sure seems like its saying it's now 1 second instead of 2? So it got nerfed?

Oh, I read it as "added another second". Sorry about that.

  • THIS IS DIFFERENTLY WORDED NOW.

    Cenobite Addon Update

    • Liquified Gore: Solving time increased by 1 second (was 2 seconds)
    • Torture Pillar: Chain Hunt activation time reduced by 5 seconds (was 10 seconds)
    • Larry's Remains: Solving time increased by 2 seconds (was 4 seconds)
    • Chatterer's Tooth: Undetectable status now lasts 25 seconds (was 12 seconds)
    • Engineer's Fang: When hitting an injured Survivor with a possessed chain, only 1 additional chain will spawn
    • Iridescent Lament Configuration: Range is now 24 meters (was 16 meters)

I count 4 buffs and 3 nerfs. You, sir/madam, are wrong.

I am not ruining the game for anyone, who suffers? The killer gets bonus points for abandoned. The other players get 30 seconds or a minute of time where the killer is distracted by me. I did not ruin the game, it is broken and unfair, that is on the developers not me.

30 seconds. It hurts my solo que brain that you think that's even remotely impactful. Surely you cannot be that selfish?

Have you also considered playing something else until your issues have been dealt with? You may find you're better off spending your time with something that won't screw you over.

  • Both Nemesis' tracks are my favourites in both categories. Spirit's menu theme is an honourable mention, as that was the 'main' theme when I started playing, and I always get nostalgic over it.

  • So...you actively want games that are shorter than my survivor queues at night?

Dunno man, sounds like dc'ing with extra steps.

Why get upset about it? I know and understand there's nothing the player can do and it's unfun but why let yourself get upset over it? It's just one game unless you're getting several Bubba's in a row. I used to get upset over it too, had this exact feeling but then one day I just stopped being upset over it happening and don't care anymore if Bubba's insidious face camping me in the basement or anywhere. It's game design, not the player. Players are only using what tools are given to them unfortunately. Just seems like a bonus to have insidious, iron grasp and agitation to the camping Bubba's toolkit but yeah, why waste your energy being upset about it?

I’m not upset, I’m despondent. It’s been literal years since I’ve been upset at any game for longer than half an hour. I cannot bring myself to stop caring, however, ‘cuz then I stop caring about even playing the game, which I don’t want to.

I “waste” my energy for it because I’m not the only one. Leatherfacecampers aren’t in every game, sure, but I’ve had 3 in a row last week. As an average survivor, I shudder to think what the lower ranks are like, who are utterly powerless against it. They don’t know about the venus survivor trap that is Insidious Bubba. They don’t know that doing gens is really the only option. And for them, there’s a very real chance the Bubba gets the 4k by sheer chase-to-down speed.

It’s the game’s design, yes. But what I’m saying is that it shouldn’t be. Moris were also just “the tools provided”, but we all know how ######### those were.

Nah, just the part where you thought people should be banned. Because in a different context your argument is equally effective, in that playing killer at the moment feels a lot like being facecamped by bubba. So, I'm not really sure how to reconcile that, because for you, it happens occasionally, whereas for killers it's almost every match.

See, that’s the peculiar thing. I’m at the point where I can probably call myself a killer main, yet I rarely have such games. Being facecamped, or at least, having a facecamper in the game is actually more common for me than me being genrushed.

You don't have to be ashamed of it, but you must understand that if you're fully behind being irrational, then you are against reason, and if you're against reason, then every argument you make should become invalid. For your arguments to work, we have to have a common understanding of what things are and aren't. Some arguments make sense, and others don't. If you're saying that making sense doesn't matter, then even your own arguments can't make sense. Irrationality is a quandary, to be sure.

My main argument is emotion based. That being the fun aspect. What defines “fun” is by its very nature subjective, and thereby cannot be rationally defended by all in the same manner. I never said that I was fully behind being irrational, I just don’t think this particular subject warrants purely rational thinking. This is a video game. Video games are supposed to be fun.

Fun doesn’t make sense, yet we still all experience it. Being facecamped is not fun for me. It feels shite, and I have to endure it because someone behind a screen said so. And clearly, OP thinks so as well. Some may find joy in laughing at the Bubba being a goofball. Not me. Is that irrational? Then so be it.

Good thing you're not a developer, because that's incredibly irrational.

It is, and I’m not ashamed of it. This is one of the very few things in the game that I feel this strongly about.

Of course, making it a bannable offense is rather extreme, and I fully understand why it will never be a thing, but I’d be in favour of it.

Aaaaand the current meta makes playing killer feel like being facecamped by Bubba, every trial. So, how do you reconcile that? Oh, make the game fair. Tile generation, genspeeds, and second chance perks ruin this game, not killers.

Regardless of game balance, meta, whathaveyou, it simply should not be possible to just completely deny one player from even moving. This was already a thing before this meta appeared, and has been a thing since Bubba’s release.

In my opinion, facecamping with Bubba should become a bannable offense similarly to bodyblocking. Yes, I do feel that strongly about it.

  • Genuinely surprised people are actually defending leatherfacecamping.

One player is being denied from playing the game, and how? By their opponent doing nothing. All they have to do is exist within a space of 5 meters of the hook, and that survivor is guaranteed dead. They’re supposed to just to spend another 2 minutes waiting, knowing full-well that anyone coming in for the save is dead as well.

And why? Because the Bubba got salty and has to express their fictional superiority over the other player, who may not even have had anything to do with it. Or because they genuinely enjoy it, though I’ll never understand why. Or just because they’re creatures that revel in the unwarranted creation of salt. With exception of the middle one, I’d actually call that toxic. Buzzword, I know, but honestly? I’m so goddamn sick of this.

”Do gens” Ah, yes, let me do gens from the basement from a crusty meathook. I am totally content with getting 7k BP at most on an already BP-starved role. I will always get teammates that know what’s going on and won’t try to fruitlessly bait out the Bubba.

And there’s absolutely nothing I can do beyond that first chase. It doesn’t even matter where I go down. He can do it anywhere. Hell, he doesn’t even need to hook me. And even if I do get hooked, I can’t suicide, ‘cause then Bubba has more time to go after others. “Just tab out”, I hear you say? Yeah, no, that really shouldn’t be necessary.

Also, it’s just 2 minutes. Unless y’all got BNP’s and Prove Thyself, that’s not even all that long. He will find another survivor, and will down them, and will sentence them to watching a 3D screenshot for 2 minutes as well. If he doesn’t, he’s actually just a poor player. More often than not, he’s really not, though. It’s just way too easy for him to do, and actually get results from it as well.

  • Because Oni would be completely without a power when he gets stunned, not to mention having to suffer a double stun.

Plague still has her vile purge when she gets stunned.

  • Can’t decide between Monstrous Shrine, Sole Survivor, Buckle Up and Up the Ante.

  • All the Badham alts. I previously said I would miss any map being removed, but those… I most certainly wouldn’t.

  • When other survivors are asleep, but you yourself are not, they appear like that, yes.

  • When there’s a realm visual overhaul, they tend to post concept art and WIPs on their social media. They used to, anyway.

That said, I’m really hoping there actually is a realm update. It’s been 3 major updates without one.

  • If you’re the one on the hook, Kindred. Cameraderie/Kinship (is that what it’s called now?) is too situational, imo.

  • Ever since I switched to cable internet, hardly ever. Not including Steam maintenance outages.

  • They’re still the old models though. That’s odd. Especially now that Quentin’s face has dramatically changed.

  • I've seen single letters being censored. I really don't think it's based on a list of words.

  • This seriously feels like I'm playing 'Welcome to the Game'.

  • Wonder if they'll slide one in your dm's.

    ....most likely not.

  • Surely, surely, REsistance is dead?

You need to let that game go, man. It’s much better for your mental health. It’s a shame that game was supported so poorly, but it’s over now.

Im not new and I said daily Rituals not achievements. A survivor daily can be escape a trial with Nancy but if she’s level 1 it’s not easy at all. A level 1 killer can easily do ability’s right kill challenges

I’m fully aware you meant rituals. I used the achievement as proof that it’s in fact not impossible to escape without perks. Is it harder? Of course. By no means impossible, though.

What you’re complaining about here is just how the game is. The killer has to use their power effectively, or play the game well. That’s really all. The only stand-out here is the mori one.

For survivors it’s the same. Have good games. I’ll admit the specific character choice is a bit arbitrary, but I don’t see the harm. It’s to encourage variety. Consider investing in other characters beyond the ones you play. (That is, the ones you own already.)

Also, do you really have to camp/tunnel to get 2 kills? Is that really the only way you can get ‘em?

(Why, yes, I do feel strongly about early camping and tunneling.)

Maybe make playing for 12 hooks more appealing and rewarding then ? If 12 hooks gameplay worked better for killers and capming + tunneling wasn't as effective as it is, less people would do it.

Why shouldn't I blame game balance when it's the exact thing that cases killers to camp/tunnel just like it forces surviors to gen rush etc to win.

The thing is, the incentive for some facecamping bubba’s is the salt itself. No BP, emblems, game speed will convince them otherwise. The latter in particular really isn’t an option.

Speed up gens? All the more reason to eliminate at least 1 completely.

Slow down gens? The facecamping Bubba has more time to find another and kill their match.

Leatherfacecamping is just unsolvable with how Bubba currently is himself. As long as he has an semi-on-demand instadown, the facecamping will continue.

  • Honestly? Try it. It’s really not that hard.

    0E5BBB6A-C056-4C52-8AF3-C633637930C0.jpeg

More players have the Power Moves achievement than Adept Nemesis. By all means, it’s not impossible. Does it require decent teammates? Yes. But that’s solo que for you.

Also, in what scenario are you that you have no survivor above level 1? That suggests you (have) never play(ed) survivor. Without any experience, of course it may seem impossible.

Quite frankly, you sound like you’re relatively new to the game. Best I can tell you is to try, try again. You can really only go up.

  • Some do it to piss the poor survivor off. They “revel in the salt”, as some would put it. I’ll never understand such a mentality myself.

Not much you can do, either. Which is probably why they like it so much. Kinda weird, that.

  • …why do you think the section exists in the first place? Bugs go in the bugs section. It’s as simple as that. You don’t put milk among the cookies in the cupboard, do you?

Besides, in that very section, you, and everybody else, can contribute freely.

  • GF in particular might be weird ‘cuz swinging with him knocks you out of Undetectable, hit or not. Might have something to do with that.

Scratched Mirror Myers is your simplest guaranteed option here.

How about offerings that bring in the fog only for survivors but make it more transparent for Killers. After all the fog is supposed to be the Killers ally, right?

I would prefer this to be the default, to be honest. They already did something like this with the EGC, meaning it should be possible.

I mean, the Entity feeds off strong emotions. Her being in trial would make sense as she could feed off the strong fear survivors have when facing her. It wouldn't ruin her. She also could stay unknown, just playable

She/it would need to obey gravity and collision, cannot pass the trial's barriers, be stunnable, be blindable, and so forth. That's stuff we know about killers. We know what their objective is, how they can achieve that, what their limits are, how to exploit said limits, etc, etc. Also, they can very much lose a trial. How's that gonna work, is the Entity gonna be displeased with itself? It can't exactly torment itself into doing better, can it?

Making the Entity playable would, quite simply, ruin the grandness of what is the Entity. Within DbD, the Entity is everything but the characters we play as. We play the Entity's game ad finitum, and it only has to observe, reward and feed.

Also, the killer is also very much a part of the feeding process. If it inserts itself as a killer, it loses out on an entirely different set of emotions to feed on.

  • This would, without doubt, ruin what the Entity is. Nobody is scared of the playable killers anymore, because we know everything there is to know about them.

The Entity is, for the most part, an unknowable force of nature. It's motives are unknown, and on an incomprehensible scale. It's undoubtably more intelligent, or at the very least infinitely more powerful than your average John Doe, especially when you're on its self-made turf. Making it something that can be understood and be trumped would severely undermine that. Not to mention that it simply doesn't make sense lore-wise.

Also, with the EGC, the Entity just intervenes and just mutilates any survivor still in the trial. It'd need to neuter its own powers when in a trial of its own for that to be remotely fair gameplay-wise, which, again, makes no sense.

  • If you were able to unhook yourself when you're the last one, the killers knows that you can. They won't leave, that'd be actively throwing.

  • Entire chapters being leaked.

Honestly, how does that even happen? And why am I not remotely surprised?

  • Well, I can’t imagine it not being a bug. Also, I don’t think Oni is the only one who’s had this, though who else had it escapes me at the moment. Demo, maybe?

  • It needs a proper, non-minigame competitor on AAA scale. As it is right now, no smaller studio is capable of releasing a title that can compete with what DbD already has. If such small releases aren’t just dead on arrival, they need a super solid idea, divine levels of polish and not feel like it’s going to get repetetive two days in.

  • I can guarantee you that not every player in the NA region is like this, just like how not every player is like you described in your region.

Now, I won't lie, playing at 200ms could give you advantages that are downright scummy. Whether that's the reason you got lucky in your games I cannot say, but please don't make this a habit.
