I think he was meaning body blocking as in standing in a doorway crouched or all blocking the hooks to grief and hinder the killer...that is a reportable action..
No, I don’t think it is.
Body blocking only becomes reportable when it actively stops another player from participating in the game for a prolonged period of time. As in, they cannot move, and their only option is to DC.

If I understood it correctly, this is the case for killer. -

False. I will prove you wrong here:
It's called the Ugly Barnacle.
Once there was an ugly barnacle, he was so ugly that everyone died.
THE END.
joke's on you, tvtropes has a page on that as well
The Ugly Barnacle is a classic Short Story in the Pacific Literary Canon, the authorship of which is generally attributed to one Peter F. Patrick (then using the pen name "Patrick Star"). According to legend, "Star" improvised "The Ugly Barnacle … -
...It's Bush, I think. Not Brush.
Regardless, good show. Good to see him addressing this so quickly as well.

Alright then i will take this challenge on it would be ungentleman like to back down from a challenge prosides its been ages since ibe wrote story could do me some good
Now it may be because I'm massively sleep-deprived, but I have no idea what you're saying here.
--
Coming back to @Ohnoes, you are completely right in that using a particular trope (or cliche) often in the same work a (part of) lazy/uncreative writing. I don't fully understand what you're trying to argue by presenting your own work, though.
I'm of the personal opinion that nothing exists in a vaccuum, especially when it comes to writing fiction (being creative, if you will). Everything is based on something that has previously existed, be it fictitious or not. Or to put it a bit more abstractly, I don't think it's possible to imagine (and create) something you've never inexperienced in some form. From that follows that quite literally everything you'll ever create is based on something, and is thereby unoriginal. That's not a bad thing, though. Unoriginal =/= uncreative, though. Or, at least, that's what I like to think.
If used well, tropes/cliches can greatly deepen the story, the world, its characters. But it has to be recognisable, otherwise your audience will have nothing to anchor their own position down to. You quite simply cannot imagine something you've never experienced. A wholly original character, environment, what have you, if such a thing can even exist, would become so abstract, so foreign that it becomes an excercise in futility to even care about them.
I can recommend TV Tropes (https://tvtropes.org/), where you can search for your favourite works and see the tropes it uses being deconstructed. Though it might also ruin your enjoyment of said works.
Also their "tropes are tools" page (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Administrivia/TropesAreTools)
(As a side note, I struggle to express myself when it comes to these abstract things. If none of this makes any sense, that's why.)

I really expected them to talk about the matter of hackers. It was decently upvoted post as well. Oh well, I guess.

Here’s my super convoluted perks:
Hex: Unaging (Killer)
“Your impossible familiarity with the various trial grounds has manifested within a Hex, making the trial appear as if nothing ever happened.”
Whilst Hex: Unaging stands, the following occurs:
All broken Pallets and Breakable Walls appear as Fake Pallets and Fake Breakable Walls after 25 seconds of being broken;
Thrown Pallets appear as if standing upright after 25 seconds of not being interacted with;
Broken Hooks appear as functional hooks, 25 seconds after being broken;
Chests appear closed 25 seconds after not being interacted with;
Generator progress cannot be perceived by Survivors after said Generator has not being interacted with for 25 seconds. Fully repaired Generators are unaffected;
Newly appeared Hex and Boon Totems appear as Dull Totems after 25 seconds of turning into a Hex or Boon Totem;
Cleansed Totems appear as if still standing after 25 seconds of being cleansed;
Any item’s depletion cannot be seen, and will always appear as full.
- Fake Pallets and Fake Breakable Walls appear as regular Pallets and Breakable Walls, but can be passed through by all players. To you, Fake objects have their aura revealed in white when chasing a survivor within 16 meters of them.
- Additionally, the aura of any Survivor that passes through a Fake Pallet or Fake Breakable Wall is revealed to you for 4/6/8 seconds.
All other affected objects appear as normal if a Survivor is within 3 meters of them.
Morbid Curiosity (Survivor)
“You’ve been exposed to the terrors of the fog in so many ways, the shock you know you should feel has become an almost perverse fascination.”
Morbid Curiosity gains a token in the following ways (only one token can be gained for each method):
Completing an action within 6 meters of any Killer belonging;
Cleansing a Dull Totem;
Cleansing a Hex Totem;
Sabotaging a Hook;
Spending 20 uninterrupted seconds in the basement;
Opening the basement’s chest;
Remaining in the Killer’s outer Terror Radius without being chased for 15 uninterrupted seconds;
Remaining in the Killer’s middle Terror Radius without being chased for 10 uninterrupted seconds;
Remaining in the Killer’s inner Terror Radius without being chased for 5 uninterrupted seconds;
Remaining within 2 meters of the Killer without being chased for 2 uninterrupted seconds;
Looking directly at the killer within 16 meters of them without interacting with them, for 10 uninterrupted seconds;
Stunning the Killer;
Escaping the Killer’s grasp;
Closely dodging a Killer’s attack;
Being unhooked;
Unhooking yourself;
Unhooking another Survivor
- Each token reveals the aura of a random non-player, non-held item, non killer-specific object, as well as the aura of anyone interacting with the associated object for as long as they interact with it, and for 2/3,5/5 seconds after, wherever it is.
- If the object loses its aura, or its aura is revealed by another method, another item is revealed instead, removing the permanent reveal (unless it’s the only object not revealed already.)
“Once you become desentisised to it all, you’ll notice the patterns.”

I'd love to see a straight-up mage. With various elemental spells they can cycle through, doing different things, whilst still drawing from the same passively regenerating mana resource.

Way back when, only a month or two after I started playing, I had this game as Billy on Azarov's. I was grinding my way to rank 1, as I had somehow managed to get to rank 6 without any considerable investment.
It took me weeks. I couldn't get comfortable with any killer, and I didn't own any DLC at the time. Trapper was way too inconsistent, Wraith too slow. Nurse seemed way too inaccessible, and my aim was (and still is) too shite for Huntress. It had been a harrowing journey, full of BNP's, Syringes, Surprise DS's (remember those?) Double BT's, the whole shebang.
I ended up playing Billy for this match. HybridPanda's main, and I saw why. Survivors were truly afraid of his potential, and made mistakes thinking I could do more than I actually could. Not these ones.
I already knew Jake and Meg were a duo. They shared a nametag. Claud had a toolbox, but I didn't think much of it. Couldn't do much about it anyhow. Bill brought a medkit, and Jake a flashlight.
Almost instantly after loading in, a gen pops across the map. I chainsaw on over, and hit Meg completely by surprise. "Good start", I hear myself mumble, not entirely sure if it was meant ironically or not.
I turn to face the wall as I pick up the downed gal. Then, from outside my view, a beam of light. My screen goes white and I hear the dreaded roar.
Now, if you know Azarov's, you'll know that its middle section consists of 3-4 maze tiles. At the shack end, there was the compactor, and on the other end, there was the funbus.
I'll spare you the details, but it was my noob <150 total hours Billy vs. at least two 1k+ hours. I did catch them out from time to time. Especially Bill and Claud were easy pickings, but their teammates...
It's been too long to recall the specifics, but I think I managed to knock Jake down after what seemed like a 5 minute chase. 2 gens left still, and I was on the good side of the map.
Then, Bill appears from behind a corner, slams the pallet I downed Jake under, and instaheals Jake back to full as I am still recovering from the pallet. Thankfully I down him again fairly quickly after, but the damage was already done. I pick Jake up again--at least he wouldn't be saved by his own flashlight.
I take a shard to the shoulder. He's free again. Both Bill and Jake make it to shack, where I lose Jake entirely. Bill catches my undivided attention in his stead, and the first injury is quickly made.
Then, he too heals to full as the alarm blares. I chainsaw after him, narrowly stopping him from making the funbus window. He's dead on hook, thank the stars. I run for the gate on that side of the map. Nothing. Massively tilted, I cannot even make it to the other gate in one saw charge. By sheer coincidence, I catch Claud again. She's lying out in the open--a flashlight save is guaranteed.
I run for the already opened gate. Meg's waiting for me. I steamrolled her over, picking her up just before she crosses the line.
Claud got picked up. I run back with Meg blaring in my ear. Claud's nowhere to be seen.
I freeze as Billy once again groans in pain. Surprise DS. Meg's SB triggers and she gets to the gate scot-free. Claud's not there, though.
I remember seeing hatch in one of the maze tiles in the center. Maybe she went there? I head for it.
An icon flashes to indicate someone escaped. I figured Jake. Hatch would open as I arrived, and I could at the very least have a stand-off with Claudette.
I hear it open, only to be immediately greeted with another pallet to the head by none other than Jake himself. He, of course, waits just long enough to be just out of reach before jumping in.
"Go back to green ranks boosted billy"
Now, thus far, in my entire gaming career, I have only ever gotten very frustrated at worst. But that one...
That one truly enraged me. The audacity of the Jake who, yes, was clearly better than me. But he got instahealed to full, had wasted all but one pallet, had sent us to this map. He, who denied me any and all early game pressure because of his off-screen insta-blind. How his teammates got second chances up the wazoo, denying me even the slightest bit of progress.
How he callously denied all of my struggles in getting to that rank in the first place. All the bull manure items, maps and perks I had endured. All the abuse in chat I tried to grin and bear. He had every advantage over me he could possibly have wanted, and STILL he felt the need to call me a noob.
And I knew he was right too.
-
So...AFK'ing? Yes, you can get banned if people care enough to report you.
-
Yes, absolutely. But I'll also admit I'd even miss Haddonfield if it got removed entirely.

OH thanks for that! I have a Nintendo and I see survivors run backwards. How do you do that. Are the Hacks all PC based? I am gonna friend you Astrian and jump in your game ;)
Backwards running, or "moonwalking" isn't a form of hacking, but it is exclusive to PC as far as I know.

i think they're nice since it shows you how long it took them to get to similar mmr to you. Whenever i end a match as killer with a surv in bronze they are usually the best survivor in the match
You won't able to gauge how long it took 'em after another grade reset on the 13th. Their MMR won't change with it, after all.
-
I’m completely fine with their actual effects.
What I’m not fine with:
The range feels a tad too big.
Them stacking seems rather excessive. I’m fine with healing speeds stacking, just not this one on top of itself.
The perk is not disabled when the totem gets snuffed out. The totem is also not destroyed. Unlike hexes, they can be brought back in full power, in the same spot without any real punishment. That means that you can have a fairly central totem serve as a healing station for all survivors that cannot be permanently disabled. I’m fine with it being a healing station, I just want them to need strategic placement.
They can be placed over hexes. This just doesn’t make sense to me. Imo, this should be the other way round, though that only applies to a handful of hex perks.
-
At this point, it’s just to rile you up. It’s doing exactly that, evidently.

I misread your comment then, my apologies.
The sentiment still applies, though.

That's valid feedback. They made it look ultra-exclusive and now it appears they lied. Hopefully they do stuff differently in the future.
They didn’t “lie”, they changed their minds. That’s like digginng up someone’s twitter history to call them a bigot when it was posted ten years ago.
They’d get a bigger shitstorm over them if they did things the same way as last year. Now that was awful.

That's not a first, they promised voice lines for Pinhead and lied. They said Trickster was the first Killer to talk, but Plague exists, so they've lied.
They lie when it's convenient for them.
Also not a lie. You can’t honestly think they wouldn’t much rather have kept the voicelines?
Regarding Trickster, he’s the first killer to talk in a living language. A language players could easily speak themselves. That’s a mistake, not a lie. A miniscule semantic mistake at that.
Y’all are really prone to call BHVR names for the smallest things, huh?
-
I mean, it's random. Not much to "fix" there. If you feel like you're getting the same map a lot, try some map offerings.
-
Body is 1 character too short.

Really not a fan of the fact survivors can bless over a hex, and can do it again once it gets taken out.
At the very least I had hoped the killer could break the totem, making for interesting decision making. And that the boon perks could only be applied once.
As they are right now, their application alone makes them way more reliable than any hex, and that bothers me.
-
Fairly recently, I got told to jump out of a window (which his friend merely suggested to open) because I couldn't carry a Jake to a hook. They had brought a purple log, and the two closest were already sacrificed on. I tried to book it to another, and Jake gets out, and promptly headed for the deadzone.
And they tell me I waste their time.

Wickerbottom from Don’t Starve.
Perks should revolve around her Insomnia or her being a librarian/book-smart
Would also love to see her as a more realistic model in DbD
I really don’t want to hurt Ms. Wickerbottom. She’s precious. Also my first main.
Also, wouldn’t her oboe voice be really strange in DbD? None of Don’t Starve’s characters have a canonical “human” voice.

There’s definitely something going on, I’ve noticed this as well. I think it started when Pinhead dropped, but it might be older.

Yes and no, killers Teror Radious its basically an alarm for survivors to start running or hide, wich from a "movie" persective given the game makes total sense, but in the same way why "terror" itself doesnt play in the same equation?...just like in the movies people will slip and make mistakes, breath faster and louder, scream, knock of something revealing themselves, my point is that the presence of the killer near you should also have an impact on the survivors even if you (the killer) isnt looking at them directly, Take it as an example for the xenomorph from the alien saga, he cant se you, but his mere presence terrorises you so much you will end making a mistake to let the chase begin, i belive this would be a very interesting mechanic for both sides, survivors and killers, but thats of course my personal opinion
With 5 years under its belt, it's WAY too late for such a core mechanic to be implemented into the game. It would change what DbD is, and I can guarantee you that many people would leave over it. Possibly myself included.
I recall that in an interview with one or more key members of the dev team, they specifically wanted to emphasise what the player felt opposed to what their character felt. It makes for far more natural decision making.
Would it be cool? I guess? It doesn't have a place in Dbd, however. Not anymore.
-
If it were a part of the game, DbD would not be the same game. It's honestly as simple as that.
We do have something called the "Terror Radious", aka the heartbeat, or the proximity music.
-
Ok but…Plague’s projectiles are substantially slower, and not practically always available to her, or even directly lethal at all times.
Also, Plague could already do this. This change only stops the power just stopping on her if she charged it too little.
-
It could be because of a survivor doing an archive challenge. I forget which tome specifically, but there are some challenges that spawn these, much like the glyphs.
-
The change hasn't gone through yet, FYI.
Also, if you have it unlocked, most services will list the date on which you unlocked it. You can thereby essentially see which version of the achievement they unlocked.
The same goes for the achievements that'll be changed once Stranger Things has left the game.

Thana is better then dying light in practically every circumstance.
Dying light only affects 2-3 survivors, takes ages before it starts being usefull and buffs one of the survivors healing speed so it denies you pressure/blood orbs.
Hell dying light is so bad i think i would actually prefer nothing over it
Fair enough, I always forget about Dying Light’s buff for the obsession.
Will say Dying Light has saved some very clutch games for me.
-
On Oni, I’d argue Thanat is counterproductive. You want survivors to keep generating orbs, thus want them to stay injured. Thanat encourages healing, so you’ll get less random orbs throughout the trial.
Not sure why you think it’d work differently on Nemesis than it does for most killers. You’re honestly better off running Michael’s Dying Light, Pinhead’s Gift of Pain, or Plague’s Corrupt Intervention.
-
They’re being compared because of how small the genre is, with DbD easily coming out on top as the most successful.
People will compare Dota 2 with LoL, Smite, Heroes of the Storm, etc., despite the fact they are only vaguely similar.
Can’t blame people for comparing apples with oranges when those are the only things in the basket.

Things I do whilst the timer expires:
Visit the toilet
Watch yt video
Spend BP’s
Check out build
Change cosmetics
Read F1 screens (the character descriptions)
Chat on social media
Visit these forums (I could be queueing right now, for all you know)
Chat with other players in the lobby
Have a sneezing fit
Get drink/food
And the list goes on. I’ve taken up writing as well.
I find it hardly matters. If not me, someone else is going to be tabbed out/AFK. Last minute swaps are not even that common.
