He is extremely boring to go against too, so I guess he is consistent there? 😜
Yeah, that is right.
Precisely why he isn't anywhere near "fine".

You can’t sit here and tell me “he takes skill” or anything similar to that. Because looking down at an object before rushing and flicking your mouse just is Soo hard right?
What’s that? Your tinkerer went off? Don’t worry just rush to the gen in no time and let ruin take care of it. What’s that? You can’t hit a survivor with your power at a loop or tile? Don’t worry just point your head down at the wall or an object before you rush and you can slide away and flick.
I don't know maon, these sound more like hits towards Blight players more than Blight himself, especially when Mileena talked about Perks. Those Perks don't come with Blight, they're Perks players use. It sounds more like he's shaming Blight players who use these Perks
It isn't.
They are refering to the character design and how such perks work with his power, never mentioning the players.
You can disagree with the post, obviously, but accusing someone of something they didn't do is never the right thing.

Thank you I love mileena so much in mk as well. And my bad if I didn’t word the post right. There are some players that play blight who are super good with him like LilithOmen on twitch who put a bunch of hours on him.
I am glad we agree :)

I mean, you straight up called all Blight players brain dead. I'm not surprised
They called the character "braindead", not the people who play him.
I do not agree with the overall direction of the post, but your comment is unfair.
-
First of all, I love your name <3
Mileena is the best MK character and I love her.
Second, I don't think Blight takes no skill, as you claimed. I don't like going against him, granted, and think he is one of the most boring killers out there.
But...it is not right to ignore the efforts of those who play him, same as every other killer.
They all take at least some skill.
-
Freddy needs his very first power back with a few QoL improvements.
It is the best and only way.
@MaTtRoSiTy said:
God no, he is still boring asf to go against and that will just make him even worse. He was already a brainless killer before they finally nerfed him and removing any requirement for him to get his power would return him to that state. Freddy is fine as he is and is far less of a chore to go against than he was (but still a chore).
Freddy is not "fine", matey, you should take that back. He is EXTREMELY boring to play as, there is nothing unique about him.

No problem, my friend :)
Glad to help.

Are you sure old DbD was better.
Absolutely.
It wasn'perfect, obviously, and one or two things still needed adjustments.
But still a thousand times better than the ugly mess we currently have.
-
Both are currently bad.
The whole game is in a bad, pathetic state.
It is borderline impossible to think that this...thing, is what became of that masterpiece of a game I fell in love with back in 2018.
-
Revert it back to the emblem system or its old predecessor.
-
He will.
It is not permanent.
-
I actually did it.
Back in the day, a bug gave everyone the rank achievements for free.
And I was playing right when it happened.

I...don't remember.

That's just an additional problem. Especially with scourge hooks this would be overpowered.
Overpowered? Hardly.
It wasn't OP back then, it was a counter. It would still be one.
-
Same.
-
Because they usually ignore the PTB feedback so it doesn't even matter.

I can get that. It does feel like the spirit of the game, no pun intended, just isn't what it once was.
I am glad you understand :)

Subjective standards are irrelevant to balance. I agree that there is a lack of diversity, and I would support other killers being made stronger to change that up.
Then why are we discussing this matter?

If only I were as smart as him lol. You have alot of nostalgia about how things were. Pre rework Freddy being the most prominent example that I know of. To be honest though I've usually never understood why you prefer the past versions of so many things.
Well done, Grand Admiral.
Though it is more than a simple case of nostalgia. I have an undying love towards what DBD used to be. That is the game that I fell for back in 2018, and that is the game I wish to play.
I like to say that "if it has old, GeneralV is sold". There are very few exceptions to this rule and Old Ruin, my favorite killer perk, is definitely not one of them.
-
@SuzuKR said:

Repetitive? Sure. Boring? That’s subjective and not everyone would agree.
Most people would. Most people do.
Then perhaps you were not around to see such complaints, but I can safely say to you that such thing is an actual issue that needs to go.
-
That would never work, and could potentially cause the game to die (which is perfectly justified but thats beside the point).

By what measure? I don't ask this to be argumentative. I genuinely don't see anything about old Ruin that was better.
You tell me.
You have the knowledge of my opinions and the name of a tactical genius. Surely you can figure it out.
-
It is BHVR, my friend.
They never do the right thing, regardless of how obvious it is.
-
Let their voice be heard, pal.
It is all we have left.
-

Old Ruin was honestly overrated. All it did was force people to learn to hit greats. It's current version is much stronger provided you can build a bit of pressure.
Still better than the current one, imho.
-
@SuzuKR said:

Lack of variety isn’t inherently a bad thing in of itself. But the way to boost diversity is to make other killers better at that level. Also, “annoying” is a subjective standard that’s irrelevant to balance.
Lack of variety is an awful thing, matey.
There is no fun in seeing the EXACT same killer over and over again, sometimes with the same builds, I might add.
It is repetitive and boring. There is a reason why the lack of variety is often complained about.
-
@Junylar said:
I remember how killer mains were constantly repeating "ohh, nobody will use this perk anymore, it's soooo useless now!"
It isn't useless, obviously, but I don't blame them for it.
My love for Ruin was reduced to atoms when the change dropped.
-
Y'all are missing the point here.
Today is Blight, tomorrow could be a different killer. The problem OP is talking about is the lack of variety on the higher levels of play.
Such problem has always been around, but it used to be slightly better. Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Huntress were common on red ranks back in the day because they provided the level of power needed to deal with certain Survivors.
If this number has been reduced to one, and a particularly annoying killer like Blight, then it shows that the problem is still there.
-
No grades matter.
-
It is a nerf, and not just on terms of strength, but also in terms of fun.
Old Ruin was definitely my favorite killer perk back in the day, especially when it used against me. It was an unique obstacle, unlike anything else the game had to offer.
Old Ruin was not invincible, as some overly annoying people want the community to believe, but it made gen speeds reach an acceptable level. Killers could still be beaten when using Ruin, as I am sure everyone is aware of, but the extra time the role so desperately needs was there.
Old Ruin is one of the freaking COUNTLESS good things that BHVR took from me.
-
More than you think.
-
Freddy, Hag, Myers and Pig are my favorites.
Not only do I love the characters themselves, but playing against them just...feels right.
Playing against those killers represent what DBD should be, imho.
-
The on-release version of the ANOES Chapter was easily the best, regardless of how much its current version sucks.
The worst? RE. Period.
-
You want a statement? From BHVR of all people?
They will either give you the silent approach, or some "working as intended" BS.
-
Freddy, Hag, Myers and Pig.
Those are my favorites, that is for sure.
-
September of 2019, eh?
Things were not as bad back then as they currently are. Sure, Freddy had already suffered...but most other things were still untouched, at the very least.
I wonder if you has as much fun as I did, back in the day.

I feel if Boil over not remove 25% penalty on drop.
Agitation should have the combined effect of Irongrasp at least.
Perhaps, but I think reverting Iron Grasp would work too.
People would have to adjust their builds, obviously, but that is no big deal.
-
Knew ya would like it :)
DBD has COUNTLESS treasures hidden in the past and, thankfully, I always know exactly where to find them.
@fulltonon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2784077#Comment_2784077
It should be 100% because a perk should be able to counter survivor counterpart.
Same goes for stridor, it shouldn't be neutered by Iron Will.
Oh, believe me...I know it doesn't look it, but the numbers you are seeing would be more than enough.
-
Currently using this one.
-
If by that you mean "getting the old animations back", then sure.
-
A radical solution, but...
Problem solved :)
-
MMR was just a terrible, terrible mistake.
The Emblem System and its old, bloodpoints-based predecessor were not perfect, but replacing them with this...thing, was one of BHVR's worst decisions.
And BHVR is the master of awful decisions, as proved countless times.
-
A reasonable decision.
@ActualPainedFrog said:
So, you'll be back by next week?
Probably not, to be honest. There is very little reason to play DBD nowadays.
-
That... is actually a very good idea.
-
Not anymore, but their OG version in 2018 was actually pretty accurate, imho.
-
I don't even remember it.
-
@Clevite said:
Sorry OP.
I also love everything about Spirit, great mori, cosmetics, play style.
How I miss old prayer beads, OP, but with discordance, I started almost every game with a grab
Reminds me of that one Meg in old Shelter Woods, long ago.
I was using Prayer Beads, and she somehow managed to leave the gen in time.
-
Iron Will is not broken, matey.
-
There is someone here that you should, and hopefully will, meet.
No one loves Spirit as much as he does, and no one ever will.
-
Technically I don't play anymore, but back in the day...
Oh, things were wild back in the day. You don't even know.
