  • I played a match as killer and survivors kept vanishing in the new map, until I realised the bushes hid them very well. Then I played as a survivor and tried it out. Indeed, the bushes can hide you really well, maybe more than was needed.

  • I think his speed is fine as it is now. His gun makes up for the fact that he is slower, since it has a long range.

  • Survivors are more toxic, in my opinion, but there are more of them, so it's to be expected.

  • Some challenges take more time to complete than before, but overall the difficulty has been lowered, so I let this new tome more than the one before.

  • I think people like when a bloody party is used, either by other survivor or killer, but maybe because of that, survivors won't take risks and do gens fast so they can escape and get the points for escaping. Others, like me, press the ready button, go do something and get back when the match is about to start, only to realise at the end screen results that someone had used one or more of these offerings.

But I also have seen a lot of people just DC'ing when a bloody party is used by the killer and I don't get it either. Maybe they think it will be the opposite, the killer will be much more dedicated to do everything to get more points, instead of being more chill.

  • I do not agree with just letting yourself die on hook if the others don't come quickly enough before you enter the struggle phase. I have survived many times when I was not saved before struggle started, but that does not mean you will die in the trial, because unless the killer is camping, he or she will have to hunt you down again.

There are many reasons why people don't just leave everything to just go for the save right away. They might be fixing a gen that is half done and ruin is on, for example, so they decide to finish the gen first and go for the save later. Sometimes just going for the save is not the best option.

  • Sometimes, as a survivor, I wait at the exit gates if someone is still somewhere, because I'm waiting to see if they need my help before I try to escape. But as both survivor and killer I see a lot of survivors t-bagging the killer and pointing and being overall toxic at the gates. If everyone is safe, I just exit. No point in being a jerk to the killer. Yes, it's a game, but behind that killer is a person playing. They might have had a bad game, so they don't need more toxicity.

  • Since the bloodwebs are random, yes, I have lots of perks I had to choose but didn't really want, so I could keep searching for the ones I did want. Perks I don't use, but show often are No Mither and Sprint Burst.

  • I agree, because too many people would DC. Now, maybe some of those won't and if they do, they get punished for a bit.

  • I'm at tier 52 right now.

Can you use it while injured to give someone 1 instaheal like state?

From what I read, you can only use the perk if you are healthy.

  • I think it is a bit in favor of survivors, especially since the last changes, like ruin. Of course it depends a lot if the survivors are SWF or not and if they actually are team players or not. Sometimes, some of the survivors is just not doing what they should have and it ends up hurting the team, like people running around instead of fixing or hiding for a long time, even when the killer is after someone else.

Just yesterday, I fixed 3 gens by myself, while the killer was after another survivor. When I finished the 3rd one, another gen popped up. I went to try to fix the last one and a Nea was just hiding nearby. The killer was not even around, so what was she afraid of? With players like this, if the killer had been better, we would have been in trouble.

  • I do think they are too fast, in general. At the start of the match and with the change to ruin, a lot of gens pop-up. Things might slow down later, when the killer has less ground to cover to get to the remaining gens. Anyway, like the devs said, making the gens slower and forcing survivors to spend more time fixing, which is just holding down a button, is boring. The should introduce a secondary objetive to make survivors waste some time doing something else for points, for example.

  • I like this perk. Me and my friends had discussed, long ago, this kind of perk, where someone could become hurt to heal someone else. One of my friends said it would be too powerful, but we didn't have the broken effect like now, so I think it's ok.

  • I think NOED is ok as it is right now. Having it only activate if there is one totem remaining and having hooked all survivors would make it much harder to pull off and I think most people would not use it anymore.

  • Shelter Woods is one of the worst and that is why I voted for Macmillan. I hope that map gets a rework. If you get in the center, during a chase, there is no way to actually do anything, no windows or pallets to help.

  • I mean, I don't see me using the option much, but maybe some people would, so why not?

  • If by bullying you mean do things to annoy the killer without a real reason to do so, no I don't do that. I mean, going out of the way to t-bag or flashlight click a bunch of times or something like that, no. But maybe some killers consider bullying when I manage to run them around for a long time and drop pallets on their heads. That is just part of the game. Being mean just because the killer is playing bad is not something I do, because everyone might mess up sometimes and have bad luck in a match. Also, as the matchmaking is not always good, you never know if the killer is way below your rank, which makes it even worse.

  • I feel like people already DC'ed against the Doctor, even before he was changed, but now might be worse, since he is stronger and I have seen most Doctor players using ultra rare add-ons, which makes it worse. But people DC against any killer, sometimes even before they are hooked for the first time. It's pathetic.

  • I don't know who shared this before, but this site seems to have all challenges for the tome:

    https://dbd.onteh.net.au/archives

  • When I just spawned, hear the terror radius and I'm in an open area, where the killer sees me and a chase starts right away.

Or when I find a gen, fix for like 2 or 3 seconds and star to hear the heartbeat. Like, I just touched the gen and now the killer will know someone was there even if I manage to hide. Hate it.

  • The voices I like more are Laurie's and Kate's. I find both Steve's and Nancy's voices annoying. It would have been much better if they had the original voice actors from the tv show.

  • This should be common sense, right? But you are right, it's not. I have had times where someone was downed, I was fixing on the other side of the map and after a few seconds, there I go to help them. They are in the same spot and when I get to them, they have no recovered at all. Or people just crawling away when the killer leaves them, instead of recovering. Or a downed survivor just crawling straight to the other survivor hiding near, giving them away and giving the killer free hits.

But sometimes the people coming to heal others are also dumb. I lost count of how many times someone is on the hook, another person gets downed near and a third person comes and instead of unhooking the hooked person, starts healing the downed person who was just downed 3 seconds ago. Of course the killler comes back way before the heal is complete, so the third person is now running away and the other two are still in the same position. Most times, the hooked person ends up dying.

  • My only problem with The Hillbilly is about his movement with the chainsaw. He can just go from one side of the map to the other, very fast, with no real cooldown period. This, paired with chilly, for example, makes him a very good killer, but no other killer can do that. Sure, Freddy can teleport to gens or Demo can use portals, but both of them have cooldowns and are tied to something, while Hillbilly is not. I would either shorten the distance he can travel with the chainsaw or put a cooldown on it, but the second option would actually impact his hits on a chase, so I think shorten the distance would be a better choice.

  • I played as the Doctor yesterday, after the changes and I liked how he plays now. No need to change stances and the blast is pretty good to reveal survivors in the area and start new chases. If he is OP or not, time will tell.

  • Get P3 to lv 50 and get something, yes. P4, no. I already have 3 characters with all perks, so if they introduced P4, I would either have to leave these 3 at P3 or lose everything to start again and I spent a lot of time making them get all perks, so no, unless you could get to P4 and keep the perks you already have.

  • Last week, the killer I encountered the most, by far, was Ghost Face, to the point I was thinking how he got so popular. His power seems to be very unstable to deal with. I had times I revealed him easily and others where I just stared at him and the reveal sound didn't even begin. Same thing for when you are hiding. Sometimes just looking at him makes the reveal process start and of course the killer gets a notification and other times nothing happens when I'm crouching behind a rock, but looking at him.

I think the biggest problem people have with billy is is extreme map pressure

Billy is the only killer that can zoom from one side of the map after hooking a survivor to the other sized to kick a gen and back to tunnel.

I expect this to be even stronger with the new ruin coming out.

(in no way am I calling for billy to be gutted I am just stating as to why I think some people have a problem with him so please dont storm my house with your torches and pick forks)

That is exactly what I think. He can just go from one side of the map to the other in seconds and has map pressure like no other killer and without a cooldown too.

  • I never sent a GG EZ to a kill and I think it's stupid to say that. The killer had a bad game, happens to anyone. He or she doesn't need a stupid survivor to make them feel even worse.

  • I voted yes, because we need something new. 8vs 2 or any other combination, new need something new for the game. We have new killers and new survivors, but the base game is the same. A new mode would spice things up.

  • Kate and next would be David, in my opinion.

  • I don't feel Hillbilly is balanced. I find his movement speed with the chainsaw, moving from one side of the map to the other, in seconds, to be too powerful, because it can be used over and over without a cooldown or a limit to the distance he can travel. If there is only 1 survivor left and the gates are powered, no way the survivor will be able to open them, because the killer will just go from one gate to the other very quickly.

In the farm maps, he can just travel from one side to the other without worries. I had like 3 or 4 games where I loaded in the map, heard the chainsaw, moved like 3 or 4 steps and he came and downed me. At the very start, just like that. I have no problem with the chainsaw downing a survivor in 1 hit or he having the normal movement speed for a killer, but there should be a limit to the use of the chainsaw to move across the map.

  • This has been happening for me a lot, especially as killer. Rarely have I gotten survivors that are my rank. Most times me (killer rank between 9-10), have gotten four survivors with ranks 2-3, which is no fun. As a survivor, I also see killers way below my rank being matched with me. This makes killers have a miserable time.

I, as a killer, don't want to be matched with players that will be with ranks so much higher than me and as survivor, I feel bad when I, at rank 2, loop, stun and survive against a rank 13 killer.

  • I play both sides and I feel, when playing killer, if I don't use ruin, the gens are done very fast. Of course it depends on what killer I am using and the survivors I am facing, but if every survivor goes for a gen and I find a survivor after 30 seconds and down him in 60 seconds (start of the game, pallets are all available), by the time I hook the person at least 2 gens will pop, maybe even 3. Now, people will say "don't take 60 seconds to down someone, be faster". Well, not everyone has the same skill as a killer and some survivors are just very good at looping.

I don't know if gens should be fixed slower or if the repairing time should be extended, but I think something has to be done so killers do not have to rely on a perk, which will be changed soon, to just have a chance to actually get some kills before all gens are fixed.

  • People can be stupid, on both sides and they think send messages is making them more important than they are. So this survivor disconnected, not really hurting the killer, but his team. Well, in this case they were left alive, but most killers would just do as normal and kill them anyway. At this point, either I just don't care if someone sends me a message or if I think they deserve an answer, I give it to them, most times with irony, because I don't care if they think this or that about me.

I also had two friends who DC often and I told them not to, because they were hurting the team and they eventually stopped, but I would not keep playing with someone that would just do that over and over. Also, even if in this scenario the killer had chili, the survivor just has to do their best to survive, instead of quitting.

  • Ace, no doubt here.

  • For me, I have had the worst time with Oni. I just don't seem to be able to be at least ok with him.

  • I think Claudette is the best survivor to start with, with ther healing perks. Others also have good perks, but I think Claudette has the best ones to start out.

  • I think the idea is interesting. The part of the survivors not being able to move might be a bit problematic, maybe lower the time they can't move or halve the moving speed, for example. Anyway, it would give The Clown one more tool to use, so that's good.

  • Face camping is really bad, especially when it's your first hook. Of course, the other survivors could just ignore the hooked survivor and fix, for example, but the thing is, a lot of people who had that happen to them want to try to save the hooked person, so they don't just die at the start without having any chance at all, so they wait to see if there is a chance to get the save.

Last night, I was playing with a friend and the killer was Leatherface. He found my friend, downed him and hooked him, then facecamped him. I mean, when you are playing with friends, at least for me, I just can't ignore them on a hook and keep fixing. I managed to distract the killer and make him come for me, so my friend could be saved, but as soon as he was, the killer left me and went for him again. And no, he was not toxic to the killer, he didn't even have time, since he was found at the very start and downed right away.

After he killed my friend, he went to face camp another survivor the exact same way. I just don't see how it is fun for the killer to just sit there and wait for them to die. Maybe they had a daily to get sacrifices with that killer or maybe they just want to ruin people's fun. Either way, I don't see the devs giving real penalties for face camping.

  • I agree that Adam should get more cosmetics. I don't see many players using him and for me, I always liked Tapp better, but Adam deserves some good cosmetics to make him stand out a bit.

  • I voted yes, because it reminds me of Friday the 13th and that you actually seemed to at least be able to fight back. Of course, in this game, it would probably be a perk you can use once per match or something, but still better than nothing.

  • While I understand some people have a hard time completing the rift, others, like me, do not, so I think the lenght of time the rift is open is fine, but I would add more challenges or give more fragments for completing them, making it easier for people to rank up.

  • While everything that was said is true, I do like to play as the Clown. He his overall weak, yes, but is power is also very simple to use and understand, so it really doesn't require much time to master. He should get a buff, but I don't really don't know what could make him better without completely changing his power.

  • While the Hillbilly seems to be a great killer, I'm terrible with the chainsaw and I just don't find the Oni interesting.

  • As of now, I have been getting green pings in every lobby, as survivor and killer. Only had a bit of lag spike in one match as a killer, so, so far, it has been pretty good. But I have been playing solo, so the experience might be different when I play survivor with my friends.

  • Ruin is still an hex. If the survivors are faced with 3 gens close to each other, just find and cleanse the hex and proceed as normal after that.

  • I used to use alert all the time, but after they introduced undetected, the stealth killers became immune to it when they were undetected, so it became much less useful. It still goes off, but you don't see where the killer is, similar to what it was with Freddy, before he was reworked. So, I started using Spine Chill instead.

  • I have never DC because of an offering. Most times I even forget to check what offerings were used, I get in a lobby, ping is ok, I press ready and go do something until the lobby fills up and the match starts to load. If a killer uses a mori, well, there will be other matches with no moris, but just quitting because of that is dumb, in my opinion.
