  • So the killer was on the obsession and both of the other teammates were hiding instead of trying to help? I can understand the frustration, especially since it was your first hook. I too have wished I could block some people and never have to play with them again, but it's not possible and chances are you will not encounter them again for a while anyway.

  • This is the only challenge I have not done yet. While I was doing other challenges, I got the 4 basement kills with Freddy, without even trying. I hooked a survivor and put down snares on the stairs, got out of the basement and someone was dropping down for the save. Got them and hooked them. Same for the other two, which did not even wait for me to leave to try to go for a save. I wish I had that challenge unlocked and selected at the time.

  • I used this perk from time to time, but nowadays, not really. I mean, I used it for the health state recovery after the gates were powered, not because of the speed boost. Removing the health state recovery would kill the perk, because in a lot of matches, it can be almost useless. You can be killed before the gates are powered or you can be healthy and not even in a chase. It's a gamble and so it has the be a good reward for the perk to be worth using.

  • Today, I have played 4 matches and only finished 1. The other 3, the killers decided to quit when the last gen was done and before we could escape. And I mean quit where no one gets points. t makes me mad to be losing so many points because they could not just accept a defeat.

  • 4 kills on your first game as killer? Impressive. And as for your 3rd match, sometimes killers let the last survivor escape. Depending on what happened in the match, sometimes I do it too. For example, if the last player was the ace of the match and I felt the others were just plain bad and that player was unlucky to get them as teammates, I usually let them live, as long as they were not toxic.

Also if the player was super unlucky, like me finding them over and over by luck and them getting farmed by the team. Or if the last player decides to keep fixing gens instead of looking for the hatch, I take that as commited to keep doing the objective and carry them to the hatch after they are done with the gen.

Try to have fun with the game. There will be times where it will be very annoying, like you being found first, downed, hooked and the killer just face camping you until you are dead, but better matches will appear, so don't give up.

  • Flashlight saves are hated by killers and when I play killer, I hate them too. Maybe someone ran me around for some time, I finally got them and someone just blinds me and now I have to do it all over again. Part of the reason I do not use flashlights when I play survivor, unless it's required for a challenge.

But being unhooked, downed and moried in a few seconds is not fun either. The killer wanted you gone because of that flashlight save and despite being unfair to you, sometimes there is a price to pay for some of the actions in the match.

  • For solo players, it would be better, but at the same time, it would just be a very good counter for NOED, knowing exactly how many totems are left. I think it should just be added as an effect to Small Game, so it would be useful, but you would have to use the perk to get that effect.

  • I play on PS4 and there are plenty of players. Starting now, might be a bit confusing at first, because there are a lot of characters, both survivors and killers, lots of perks, add-ons, items and there are the archives too, but after a few days, it should be easier. The core mechanics are simple enough to understand.

  • I started using Spine Chill when Ghostface came out and found it very helpful. Now, I use it with most of my survivors.

  • I play both sides, but mostly survivor and I agree that playing only one side is missing out on the other. For example, when a new killer comes out, I usually play survivor until the hype goes down in the first few days and then try the new killer. I always see that I missed something just seeing that killer from the survivor's eyes and after trying it out, my experience as survivor also gets better.

Both sides can be frustrating, but killer seems to be far worse, because a lot of survivors are toxic. Like, you found someone, they drop a pallet and are already t-bagging. Why? They dropped a pallet in the first 10 seconds of being found and think they are good or something? Also waiting at the gates, when everyone is already there or dead is just annoying for the killer. Just leave and end the match.

  • People will always say bad things when others don't do what they wanted them to do. In this case, I think you did the right thing. Sometimes, people just have to accept someone escaping is better than no one escaping. I have seen many cases where someone is hooked, last gen gets done and at least a gate is 99% or open. Killer is camping, we don't know if he or she has noed and the person is on the other side of the map. Then someone goes for the save, killer might either get them before the save happens and hurt them, making them run away or get downed. Or just have Noed and bam!

Either way, usually the killer gets 2 kills instead of 1, but usually I see someone else coming for the save, after the other person has gotten downed, thinking the killer will just pick them up and it's a free save, but the killer turns around and also downs that person. So now, it's 1 hooked survivor and 2 on the ground. And on the other side of the map, with no gate near.

I have died trying to save someone this way, only to get downed by the killer, hooked and the person who I was saved heals and leaves, not even trying to save me back. So now, if the killer is camping and the exit is very far away, I'm sure but I'm leaving. The killer might get one kill, instead of two or more.

  • Depends. The trapper challenges are easy to spot, as the killer will motion to the traps and yes, I have no problem helping. Other times, when I just suspect the killer is doing a challenge, I may or may not help, depending on what the killer is doing. Like, tunneling the same person over and over to get them to the basement or because they are the obsession. I get they want the challenge done, but just screwing the same person over and over is not fair.

I remember, I think it was the first tome, when the challenge was to hook 2 people in the basement. I saw the killer, a Myers, trying to get from one side of the map to the other and basement and failing because it was too far. He hooked only 1 person and needed 1 more, so I found him and made him come after me, then I went to the basement and pointed at the hook. He hooked me and then when I was unhooked, he let me live and sent me a pm thanking me.

  • For me, waving means the killer is camping, but for some people it's the opposite. From what I see, however, I think waving the arms is mostly recognized as the killer camping. I have a friend, who I play with, who waves the arms for people to save him. I already told him most people think the killer is camping and that is why they hesitate to save him.

Did it work? Nope, he still does the same. Even when I'm running straight to him and I see him and he sees me, he still waves the arms anyway. Guess he thinks just sitting on the hook doing nothing is boring...

  • That challenge is a pain, because if something goes wrong, like the others doing 2 gens without you or the killer finding you as you are fixing the 4th gen, you have to start all over again. In my case, after trying for a long time, I got a killer who wanted to farm, so I got the challenge done, otherwise, it has a lot of luck involved and you need to focus on just fixing and not helping others heal or even save them to not waste time.

  • Not sure. This time, I got to tier 70 first and then decided to buy the pass, since I knew I would get my auric cells back. Probably going to do the same thing for the next rift pass.

  • Some of the single trial challenges are not that bad, but others are a pain. For people who have a limited amount of time to play a day, like me, it's frustrating to play like 2 or 3 days and still not being able to get past the same challenge because we were unlucky time after time.

Fix 4 gens using Dark Sense, for example. I fix 3 gens, then the killer comes, chases me. Everyone fixes the last 2 gens while I am in a chase. Or I fix 2 gens, everyone is getting downed, so I have to go save them and they keep getting downed, so there is no way to complete the challenge in that trial. Or the killer spends the whole match after me, not letting me fix at all. Or after fixing 3 gens, the match is going bad for the killer, so it decides to DC and screw me over.

All of these have happened to me and yes, I have completed that challenge, but it was an example of how things can go bad and so the challenge gets frustrating. I would rather have the challenge be fix 10 gens using Dark Sense, but I could do it over several matches. Even if I only completed like 2 gens per match, I would at least feel I had made some progress, instead of none.

  • I have also had matches with Wraiths that are afk. Sometimes with other killers doing the same with Insidious. I don't really care if they do it, I fix and escape, but sometimes other survivors just go try to find the killer and I have had 2 matches were it was just LF in the basement and they all got downed and camped to death.

  • To get Yui and hers and the Oni's perks, mostly.

  • As much as I don't like Ruin, the fact is most matches I have played go crazy fast if there is no ruin around. Match starts and if every survivor is apart, they find a gen and start working. Killer finds 1 survivor and chases him or her. If the survivor manages to stall for a bit, 3 gens pop-up. Then the survivor usually goes down, someone goes for the save. 1 more gen pops up by the time someone else is downed and the last gen won't be too far away from being completed too.

I also don't like the idea of making gens take more time to fix, but I think something has to be done so that if the killer does not use ruin, he or she is not so punished.

  • This is one of those challenges that are very annoying and not really worth the trouble.

I was playing a match on the swamp map against a Legion, everything was going fine at first I actually got rid of ruin and saved some people. Near the end of the game only two gens were done and I was running for someone hooked as the other survivor wasn't doing anything but healing. Legion was chasing me so I knew I'd go down while saving the survivor who I'm gonna call Yui because that's who she was playing. I save her, go down, then I get saved by Yui and we go to killer shack to heal. I start healing her but stop because he's coming to us and I hide in locker. Yui then proceeds to point at my locker and I end up dying because even after getting downed to save her, she rats me out and gets me killed. Post game I said "thanks for getting me killed" and she says "stay mad" while the killer actually let her and the other survivor go even after I said she ratted me out she deserves to die because the Legion quote "doesn't tunnel people" but yet he tunneled me? This honestly ruins the game and I'm considering leaving this bullshit until this gets fixed. They need to be punished as if there disconnecting.

Basically the same thing happened to me. Match was going ok, I saved a Bill from the basement. When we got upstairs, I heard the Spirit phasing and hid in a locker. Bill just stood still and when the Spirit appeared, pointed at my locker and ratted me out, so I died and he ended up surviving. It's just people being selfish and trying every tactic to survive, even if they screw up the person who saved them before.

  • I'm trying to do this challenge myself and it's annoying. If it's broken, it's even worse.

  • Sometimes it's a good idea to 99% the gates, other times it'ts not. The killer can have Bloodwarden, so not opening the gates right away may prevent it. On the other hand, I have died a few times while being chased by the killer, going to a gate, only to realise it's 99%, with no one around and I don't have time to open it and also get away after that. So, at least if someone was near the gate and saw me running from the killer, they could open the gate and maybe take a hit to help (if the killer does not have NOED active).

  • I like Lery's, but The Game is my least favorite map. Even after playing a lot of matches on it, I still get lost downstairs a lot.

  • I already hit level 70 in the rift and the only challenge I have not been able to do is save someone carried by the killer by blinding the killer.

  • I mostly play survivor, but when I play killer without ruin, the gens get done very fast, unless I manage to down a survivor early. I mean, without ruin, most survivors just do gens, since it's their main objective and the only one needed for them to survive.

  • I main Kate, because I like her cosmetics. I used to main Meg, but she mostly gets sporty cosmetics that I don't like.

  • I think playing killer is more stressful.

  • I think it would be a great idea. We already got some for The Legion, so maybe next year other killers will get them too.

  • I like Meg, but her skins are usually not appealing to me. I wish she had some more feminine skins like Kate, instead of just sport based ones.

  • Survivors don't like to reach the end of the match and get downed and killed, which is natural. While it can be annoying, I find ruin to be more annoying than NOED. This is because sometimes survivors just spend so much time looking for ruin that by the end of the match, only 1 gen is fixed and everyone dies. On the other hand, while being downed by NOED is not great, at least it means you almost got to the end of the match and probably got some bloodpoints as opposed to dying early with no gens done.

  • I have been saying to my friends, for some time, that we needed an old lady survivor, to have diversity. One of my friends hated Jane, when she came out, saying she looked too old compared to the other girls and now uses her a lot, so he changed his mind. Summon the old lady!

  • I never spawned that close to the killer, that I could see him/her in the open, but I have started n the terror radius before, the killer just found me before I had even moved. It's frustrating, because there is not much you could do, you are found and have to deal with it.

  • In my opinion, Nea looks the worst, but Quentin, do to his face, is not far behind.

  • I have all survivors at P3. For killers, some are at P1 and Wraith is P2.

  • I flap the arms when the killer is camping and if he or she is not, I just stay still on the hook. Most people I have seen online do the same, but there are some which do the exact opposite. I have a friend, who I play with sometimes who flaps the arms to come get him. And he starts at the first second, which is very annoying. I already told him to stop doing it, because people will think the killer is camping and he complains that people take too long to save him. Yes, he is giving them signal that the killer is there, so that is why. Still, he keeps doing the same... some people just don't want to learn.

  • Report these type of messages. They can be angry, but that kind of message is not okay. Same for things like "#########". That should not be said to anyone, that is just rude, immature and evil, really.

  • I don't really care. They are giving the cosmetics to everyone? Good. I have some of them and I don't have others. For example, I have cosmetics that were from events, before the shop was introduced. I did what had to be done to get them at the time, but I won't be annoyed that now everyone that was not around the game at the time or could not complete the events gets them. I got to enjou them for some time, now everyone will. And it's just cosmetics, it will not change the gameplay at all. People need to relax and focus their anger at things in the real world that need change, not about a game...

I have a similar story but being the one who got slugged and I don't feel great about it.

Being on Hawkins lab, killer was a legion i was alive with another Claudette. About 10 seconds before i went down she finished the achievement gen upstairs. The killer slugged me and went to search for her. Being a good sportsman i thought about dc'ing to give her hatch but i reconsidered and stayed on the ground since she hid so well and wasn't found right away plus sluggimg is a good mechanic and the killer is also a person so no need to ruun his game experience. Do you know how long the bleedout timer is when actually being on the ground? About 4 fricking minutes. The killer came checking on me a few times but he didn't camp me, all fair and square. But this Claudette just stayed upstairs hiding in different lockers before she became crows.

Dude i got so mad! She could have had enough time picking me up since the killer was doing killer stuff and looking for her.

I refused to crawl all the way upstairs but I circled directly und her. The killer picked me up before i bled out and i went upstairs. And here comes the part I won't ever do again but i rushed into every locker until legion boi understood and gave me the stabby stabby to find her. I bodyblocked her once when she was full health, the killer got her and hooked her (FIRST HOOK) and i just stood there and tapped the unhook button for a while to let her scream, farmed her and stayed in the killers sight until she was dead. I pointed at the hook to gave my life as well since i felt really really scummy but the hatch was 2 feet away and he gave it to me.

I still feel hatred against that Claudette and im sorry for not dying as well ngl

Well, she acted so badly, she got what she deserved. She had time to go helped you, but decided not even try. Of course, the survivors are supposed to be a team and help each other, but sometimes people just deserve some punishment, like saving you in front of the killer, no BT, more than once in the same match and getting you downed. That deserves some revenge... or justice, it depends on how you see it.

  • I got a revenge story, but from survivor to survivor and not killer. Match was against a Billy and he had killed 2 people already. Only me, as Tapp and a Claudette were left. He downs her while I was fixing, but does not pick her up. I went to her, when he got a bit away and healed her back up. Back to my gen, she gets downed again. This time the killer picks her up, but does not hook her. At the time, I had bond.

I saw him drop her a few times, until she was back up and after a bit, due to bond, I saw her starting to move in my direction. I understood right away that she was going to bring him to me, in hopes he would kill me and let her live, even thought I had saved her before. Thanks to bond, I avoided her and the killer. She was checking the lockers and pointing to where I was before. The killer followed her, but I was seeing her aura, so I kept circling and ended up hiding in the first locker she checked.

Since she could not find me, the killer got fed up and hooked her (it was her last hook). He went away and I started searching for the hatch. There was only 1 gen to do left. I found the killer on the other side of the map, by the hatch, camping it (this was before killers could close the hatch). So I came back to the gen I was working when Claudette was downed and fixed it. I crouched away and there comes Billy, straight to the gen. I started running and got the hatch before he made his way back. It felt great to outsmart both Claudette and the killer, but especially her, since she was trying to betray me, but got what she deserved.

  • I mean, the Billy facecamped when there were only 2 people left alive and until the struggle phase. Since the other player got the save, it would seem after getting in the struggle phase, the killer went at least a bit away. And with only 2 people left, the killer would either choose to target the topic creator or the other guy, so I don't see why that is tunneling. And after everything, just DC'ing is a win for the killer anyway.

  • The toxic players, both from survivors and killers. As a survivor, I try to play the game and not t-bag, but I see other players doing it all the time to the killer. And as a killer, it is done to me all the time. Found the first survivor, who dropped the first pallet? T-bag. Why? Also hates messages from both sides if things are not going their way. Sometimes this game is a blast, other times it frustrating to have to deal with these things so many times.

  • It really depends on some factors: Am I doing a daily to sacrifice survivors? Are the remaining survivors toxic or just wanting to play the game not being toxic? These are my main factors. If I'm doing a daily and if it's a killer I don't even like, sorry, but I want to get it done with. If the survivors are toxic, I won't go easy on them. If they are not, I might let them done some things and even let them all survive. It depends a lot on what they do.

  • If there is no way that I will survive, no, unless I'm playing with friends, which might change things a bit. I have seen a lot of games were 1 person would have died and the other 3 would have survived, but they tried to save and the killer got at least 2 kills out of it, if not more.

  • I like them on the hooks, but I they are nothing special for survivors, in my opinion.

  • I mean, of course the original survivors should have some attention, but I would not want the game to be focused on only them either. There should been some balance.

  • For me, Billy, I think. His mobility is just too great in wide open maps. Besides him, maybe Spirit and dumb teammates.

  • I used to spend the shards on the old shrine, back when there was no cosmetic shop, but now I just save the shards for the cosmetics.
