  • I also don't understand why there is a bloodhunt that finishes in the middle of the event. Why not until the end of the event? Or having else replace it for the last days? But no, nothing at all.

  • I mostly play survivor and I still think the event gives too much power to survivors. Pallets respawning, survivors jumping into portals, everyone getting a free heal, invisibility, invincibility. The killers get poison, ok, but it's very weak compared to what survivors get.

  • I didn't even notice, but yes, same is happening to me.

  • I like some of the options, but Sidney is the one that stands out for me.

  • I don't like that his power has no time limit while he is using it. Spirit has, why doesn't he have it? Also, at least with Spirit we hear her, we can be prepared, but he can just spawn right next to survivors, because there are windows and pallets all over the maps and just get a hit easily. Survivors either do nothing when he uses his powers or risk getting surprised. If the survivor moves, he sees their footprints, if they do an action, he sees their aura and even if they just stand still and he shows up close, they scream. I still think his power needs a time limit after being used, so he can't just stay on it for a long time just looking for survivors.

  • I agree that we need a switch 2 version of this game, with better performance and graphics.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/467109/whats-the-point-of-skillchecks-for-2nd-stage-of-being-on-the-hook

I would've low key preferred too if they weren't there, bc i multitask when i'm on hook typically, and skill checks mean i can only do that during the first phase of hooking, so I wouldn't be against it being removed, or instead being able to press an active button to kill your own survivor in case of a 2 survivor scenario.

I have the exact same opinion. They could just remove skillchecks and had a button so the survivor would die right away. But then people would complain that survivors were just giving up after being on the second hook and it would impact the other players in the match.

  • I hate the zombies. I just had two matches in a row with being followed by zombies, interrupting fixing, healing, bringing the killer to me and the others and I hate when can only throw a pallet on them if there are any near or blind them. That is it. Even when killed, the usually spawn near survivors again. And when there's more than one in the same place, it's hell.

  • I don't like that people just throw others to the killer, giving away their position. It's a game. You might no survive, you might feel unfair that your character dies before another player that in your opinion was less useful that match, but that is not an excuse to try to sell another person's position to save yourself.

A few year ago, I remember I had a match where it was only me and a Claudette left, against a Hillbilly and she was injured. I ran empathy, so I could see that he found her and they were trying to find me, so I just had to keep away and eventually the killer was fed up and killed her, while I got the hatch. In this case, she got what she deserved, but if it was the other way around, I wouldn't bring the killer to her. I would just have let the killer kill me and move on.

  • I like 2v8 but I don't think it should be permanent.

  • Yes, it's very annoying having all the pumps appearing very close to each other and with none of the blood gens near it. Also, a lot of times it's in the middle of the map, where you are exposed as a survivor. I see no pattern where sometimes the are spread okay and sometimes they are not.

  • As a survivor, I don't teabag or use flashlights. Tea-bagging is just disrespectful to the killer. I see others doing that at the start of the match. The killer has found us, someone drops a pallet and teabags. Why? And for the flashlights, as a killer I hate when someone steals my chance to hook someone by blinding me, so I don't do it when I play survivor.

If by the endgame, someone who has saved me before is downed, I tried to help them, sometimes ending in me being dead, but I repay the favor of helping me earlier.

I also stay clear from the toxic squad players that bully the killer. I do the gens and get out. And if it goes bad for them, I don't really feel like I have to help them after the all the bullying they did. People forget that we are all humans, behind the screen. No reason to be cruel and frustrate other people just because you can.

  • I can confirm that it is also happening on Switch. Got the sound problems playing as both killer and survivor. In most matches I have played, the sound is okay, but in a few, the killer power is just not heard at all.

  • Yes. I love this idea. I would love to be able to favorite some perks so they show up at the start of the perk list and are easier to choose, without having to go page by page.

  • So far, I'm having a great time. Of course, as a survivor you will die most of the time, but the points make up for it. And as for killers, I like the idea of teamming up, for my matches, me and the other killer have worked together pretty well.

  • I used Small Game for a while, in the past and now I don't anymore, but some of the totem spawns are pretty obvious, so while I don't go out of my way to find the totems, between moving from gen to gen, I always keep an eye out for totems and I believe other survivors do the same. In my case, it's not to try to ruin the killers experience, it's mostly about getting easy points from destroying a totem, which only takes a few seconds. But some of those totem placements can be pretty bad, like, in a open field, you get an hex, it while be seen from far away and won't last long.

  • Yes. At that point, what are you going to do, if no other survivors are around? Just go for a wild goose chase and lose the one hooked?

  • Not bad, not great.

  • It's not that the killer is bad, but having to find the traps one by one and placing them in certains spots, hoping for survivors to step on them and if they do or if the disarm the traps, having to place them again by going to where they were, takes a lot of time. The Hag does a much better job at this, so I wish there was a simpler way for the Trapper too.

  • I like Ghostface more and moving without terror radius and not needing to be crouched is great.

  • Yes, a bit more mechanics, something else to do would make things more interesting, in my opinion.

  • If you got someone hooked and the endgame collapse is in play, there is no reason to leave the hook. As a killer, I have done so, to chase someone else, which in most cases ends up with the hooked survivor being saved and the others protecting the one I started to chase, so they survive and I get nothing. If you played fair, which means no tunneling or camping, so maybe all 4 survivors are alive at that point, just camp the hooked person in the endgame collapse to get at least 1 kill.

  • Well, in that scenario, the survivor was stupid and got what they deserved. What I hate is when the killer hooks someone, a survivor with BT hooks the other right away and the killer goes after the unhooked survivor. It doesn't matter if he/she was unhooked with BT, because they will get hit and the killer will just chase them anyway, leading to them being downed a bit later. And in this case, I'm blaming the survivor with BT for saving right in front of the killer.

  • I agree with some things and don't agree with some others, but ones that I want to point out are: the new map is problematic for both sides. It's beautiful, but too big, no doubt. Grabbing a survivor and then getting that grab denied is very frustrating. I also hate the clothing sets they make because some of them clearly didn't need to be sets at all.

But most of all, I play on console, the gameplay is still broken and the devs are not doing anything to fix it now. No, I don't want you to fix it when the mid chapter releases, it should have been a priority to release a fix right away, because it affects a lot of players. I played two matches today, one killer, one survivor and decided to stop playing because it was so bad: lag, freezing and my ping was good, so that wasn't the problem.

  • I think the problems that are happening make some people decide to disconnect, but it's not only that, because people disconnected way before this chapter was released.

  • I agree with people that said the event should have been paused and resumed after the issues were fixed. A lot of people stopped playing on console because of the problems that are happening, so they are missing out and only fixing the problem after the event is over is a big mistake.

  • She needs her face reworked, for sure.

  • No survivor likes to be tunneled, because they end up dying faster and getting less points. Also, it's not fun, for the survivor, of course.

    • Cheaters
    • Toxic Behavior
    • The grind
    • All the performances problems

If they're harassing you, they're not your friends.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2358394#Comment_2358394

That's not possible. You must accept an invitation (or send one) for that to happen. Unless you mean you get into a random lobby that happens to have your friends. If so, that's because there are few players in your region.

I play on PS4 and at least there if someone is your friend, they can join your lobby, if you are playing survivor without needing an invite. I didn't know it was possible, until me and a friend accepted an invitation to be friends with another player, but she was super annoying, so we started avoiding her. Well, when me and my friend played, if she was online, after the match we returned to the party lobby, finding her there waiting to play with us. We were confused, because neither of us had invited her. Then we found out that if we where playing, it shows that info and there is a button to join the lobby. This is not ingame, but on the menu that says that your friends are playing.

Using that you don't need an invite to join a lobby. If the person is already in a match, the appear faded on the lobby, so you have to wait for the match to end, but when the come back, you will be there, no invite needed.

  • I haven't gotten that daily yet, but you are right, makes not sense to have to play 4 matches to be able to complete the challenge.

  • Events can be both fun, sometimes and terrible, other times. Everyone tries to get points at all costs and sometimes that is just chaos.

  • Yes, people are tiring, even other survivors when you play survivor. Everyone wants to win, that is it and of course it's not possible. You either are the killer and kill someone so they lose or the survivor escapes and you as the killer lose to them. It's worse during the event because there are many cakes being thrown around and no one wants to get just a few points. No one wants to be the killer that can't hook survivors or the survivor that dies before they even have 5000 BP.

Also, I think frustration is built from the number of matches you play. If you played 1 match and it went badly, well, it's bad luck, but after 5 matches were you were either tunneled, camped, died early or were tbagged, prevented from hooking people and victim to survivors toxic behavior, you have had it and then you lash out at these random people that are destroying your fun.

  • The problem is there is always something that makes things negative with the game. For consoles, for now, it's lag, freenzing and stuttering, so it's hard to be positive when faced against PC killers that don't have the same problem and wipe the floor with you. If not this, then there is another glitch somewhere or the players are toxic. I try to be positive, but sometimes it's not possible.

  • Sometimes the killer is just too good and while it is annoying for the survivors, there is a something they are also doing wrong if they can't even finish a gen. Other times it's the survivors that just destroy their own match, for example, the killer hooks someone, another survivor comes and unhooks the first one right in front of the killer. The killer either downs the same survivor or hurts and downs the savior. By that time, another survivor is already close to the hook too and it snowballs.

  • Wraith being the most used killer was a surprise to me, but since it's across all ranks, it makes sense.

  • Not sure about killers, but Jeff and Adam don't have many cosmetics or at least, not many good ones.

  • Yesterday I had a match where I was trying to fix. A zombie comes and of course I had to stop and try to get him away. On the process of that, another of the zombies shows up, so now there is two of them on me. And of course Nemesis didn't take long to come too. Ended up being downed by one of the zombies, because I had no place to run from 3 enemies. I know things like these don't happen all the time, but the more zombies that there are, the more annoying it is to avoid them, be it on a chase or just doing other stuff. Sometimes they even stand very near to a hooked survivor, preventing saves.

  • The perk is better than before, but there should be other ways to gain stacks. For example, healing another survivor should give you a stack. Right now, if multiple people are using it, they rush to get saves and it ends up damaging the team.

  • Yes, getting the crowns as survivor can be hard. I had one day where I played for 2-3 hours and never escaped once. Next day I got a bunch of crowns, so sometimes luck plays a part.

  • Well, the event is extended, so that is good, but the console problems remain and since they haven't fixed it, it means console players will have to keep playing the event with bad performance...

  • I used it a few times and I don't think it is a bad perk, but since the use is limited for 4 perks, there are better ones out there.

  • I see them a lot and they can be really annoying. Like, you are being chased and a zombie blocks a door, for example, it's very hard to not get downed while looking for another exit. I have had some matches in the farm maps were both zombies end up blocking doors and in one particular match, Nemesis downed all my other 3 teammates, because they would either be downed by him or the zombies. Also, they are annoying as hell when you are fixing and they go for you, interrupting the action. Worse if ruin is in play, so I would not like more zombies. Also, if Nemesis can't do the job with two zombies already on his side, while every other killer has no one else to help, then there is a problem.

  • Yes, the event, with all the cakes, makes the grind appear less than it is. The problem is, just in a few days, the event ends and we will be back with the same problem as before.

  • For survivors, the body parts. Of course there are also some great head cosmetics for some of the survivors (and some really bad ones too).

  • I still think Kate looks the best, but Laurie does too.

  • Clown, of course.

  • I see him often, so it's not like no one is using him, but there is such a large pool of killers that it's normal that we don't see all of them all the time.

  • I played again today and got the crown in the match, but outside it only shows one instead of two again...

  • That scream is annoying, yes, so I would be ok if they removed it.
