  • "Stop running after me! If I'm just walking instead of running, there is a reason for that!"

  • I mean, taking it easy on the killer depends on what the killer is doing. If the killer seems new and decides to farm is one thing, another is just to let them hurt me or something, because chances are, if they finally down me, they will camp me because they are having a hard time hooking survivors.

I don't like to be toxic and I only ever tbag if the killer is toxic too, like going for me the whole match, camping and then tunneling too because they just can. Besides that, I just play normally. If the killer is new and has problems ending the chase, I don't tbag or blind them, but that doesn't mean I also just let them down me.

  • I like Until Dawn, so it would be good to get some of their characters in DBD.

  • It looks good, but the design is not a good fit for DBD.

  • Yes, if they are going to mess up this bad and it still isn't fixed, it's a good idea to have the PTB on consoles too, to discover these problems before they go live for everyone else.

  • The survivors want to get the crowns and to do that, they need to survive, so of course they focus on doing gens. The more time they take to do the gens, the more likely they are to die. I don't think it's because they want less points, of course if they could get more points, they would, but sometimes it's between getting few points, surviving and getting a crown or getting more points and dying, losing the crown in the process. Blame the devs that made it so survivors need to survive to get their crowns.

  • I also think the event and rift should be extended, because right now the problems are still here and there is not even a date for them to be fixed. If they do not fix the problem and also don't extend the event and rift, then that just tells the console players that they don't care.

  • The perk tiers need to go. Remove them and the grind is reduced by a lot.

  • I hope someday we get Jason and his shack should be part of his map too.

  • I like the map, because it's different from others, but for killers it really can be a problem.

  • I mostly get killer challenges and a lot of times for killers I don't use. Then I reroll... and it's another challenge for another killer I barely use. I wish we could choose if we wanted a survivor or killer challenge, instead of it being random.

  • Some matches are worse than others. Sometimes as killer attacks are missed and has a survivor sometimes it seems they stay still for a second or two in a chase, which results in getting hit or downed. I don't understand how a patch broke the game this bad on consoles and it's not only when facing Nemesis.

  • Saving other survivors in front of the killer, even with BT, might be bad, if the survivor doesn't wait. For example, a killer hooks the survivor, turns away and 3 seconds later the survivor is saved from the hook. Of course the killer is going to come back and even if BT was used, the killer will probably go for the unhooked survivor. Even with BT, they will take a hit, run away and eventually get downed again. Like, why didn't the survivor with BT just wait for the killer to leave? If the killer doesn't, that's another story, but not even waiting for that to happen ends up screwing the saved survivor.

What I think is unfair is, for example, you get found right at the start, hurt, downed, hooked. Then someone saves you in front of the killer, you get chased, downed, hooked again. And then the same thing happens and the killer goes for you again and kills you. I mean, yes, you are the killer, but you can also see that that survivor had no time to do anything in the match and that his or her team is farming that survivor, so maybe just go for the other survivor the second time around? Sometimes the killers do that, sometimes they don't. Having been in the position to get almost no points and no chance to even run away, I can say it is not fun.

  • The map is too big and as some suggested, if there was a mode where we could just explore the maps, to learn the layout, it would be much easier, for both sides. The gen placement also seems weird. The last time I played the map, it took a lot of time to find a gen and when I did, I could see another gen very close by. Me and another survivor just fixed both gens and the killer was busy with another survivor, so for a map this big, having two gens spawn so close was bad for the killer.

  • Overall, I like the rework, yes. Some might seem a little different now, but we will get used to it.

  • Great, another bug.

  • Can I ask why you didn't like playing as a SWF? Did it make the game too easy?

  • Make it smaller and adjust it depending on what is kept and what is not. The map looks good, but it's too big and confusing.

  • I mean, it's a crown floating behind the head of a character. That is it, I don't see the character being ruined by that, but it's always tricky with licensed content.

  • Yes, we have some many frame issues and they are still not fixed, even after patches, which is very annoying and already made people stop playing, even when we have an event going on.

If you are wearing a crown, you own it already. Simple as that.

You can have a crown unlocked and not use it. For example, I have all the crowns for the survivors, I choose Yui, but don't equip the crown. Get into a match and I go to the pedestal. I will get the glow on me, so when the killer sees me, he or she knows I picked it up, but they can't know if I had already unlocked it before or not. The thing is, if we go by "let everyone that has picked up a crown live", then the killer would have to let everyone live, except the licensed characters that can't have them. Of course, the killer can choose to farm, I'm doing it when I play killer, but not everyone goes by that.

  • I don't agree. Dead Hard is worse than the other perks, because if you are using it, then the killer is about to get a hit and take you down, so, for killers, it prevents them from getting that hit that they want. The other perks could give a brief advantage, but when the killer gets close again, they will hit the survivor and take them down. I think it's more frustrating being denied the hit than just making the chase last a bit more.

  • I have been on that situtation, many, many times. Only 2 survivors alive, the other is hooked and there are still gens to be done, that we can't even finish. What to do? Sometimes I go for the save, but it's just a trade, with the killer coming for me next and then killing me with the other either dying too or getting the hatch. Other times, I let them die and look for the hatch. Unless there is a key in play and one of the survivors knows where the hatch is, there is no way for both of them to survive.

If I'm the one on the hook, I just let myself die and give a chance to the other player. Most times I see people holding on to the last second, even if they see me not coming to save them, maybe in hopes the killer finds me too, since I'm not coming for them. And of course there are times where the survivor is being slugged with the killer nearby, I don't try to save because I would be seen even before I could get close, then the killer picks the survivor, drops them and they get free, only to come to where I was, so they work with the killer to kill me and they live.

It's a though choice about what to do, but at least if you don't go for the save, either try to find the hatch or go to a gate. If the killer knows where the hatch is, between the time they get there, close the hatch and go for the gate, you might have had time to open it and that also has happened to me many times. Instead of going crazy looking for the hatch, I wait at a gate, which gets powered when the killer finds the hatch and if I'm lucky, he/she goes to the other gate first and I have time to open it and escape.

  • Well, trying to get adept and being nice are two things that just don't mix, in my opinion, because you need to kill everyone, so...

Since we are in the middle of an event, why not just play for points for now and then resume trying to get adept after the event?

As for the way survivors act, you are right, sometimes people can be very toxic and when I play killer that happens too, not all the time and not everyone tbags or tries to annoy you for no reason, so don't let them turn you toxic, because there are some good players too.

  • As killer, I have farmed a few times, so everyone gets points and the survivors get their crowns. As a survivor, I only have seen one killer farm and it was at end of the match. If you want to farm, do it, so everyone gets points.

  • I like this idea. Also, we should have a buy everything option for the first 9 levels of the bloodweb, where you are forced to buy all nodes anyway, so you wouldn't need to select them 1 by 1.

  • Both sides can be very toxic, the thing is killers hold more power during the event, since if the survivor dies, they don't get their crown. So, killers could play a little less douchy, by not face camping people, but survivors could also not be as toxic, always t-bagging and trying to blind the killer just because.

  • I already got the crowns on all my survivors that can get them, but for some of them, it took a while. The requirement of having to survive makes things bad, when the killers just have to find the pedestal and do nothing more.

  • Jake's new design looks much better, yes, but I still think Felix is the hottest male survivor.

  • Destroy totems and noed can't be activated. That is it, there is a counter to NOED.

  • The map looks good, but it's way too big and it's bad for both sides. I played killer once on that map and it was hell, I played survivor a few times on it and it was confusing.

  • Outside of the things mentioned and this event, because of the crowns, I don't really care if I survive, as long as I got a good amount of points, really.

Why should an event change the way the game should be played exactly......? I don't see survivors going a little bit easier on the gens either

Killers don't have to change their behavior because of the event, I know that. The difference is, for people trying to get the crowns, the killers could just go to a pedestal, get the crown and go AFK for the rest of the match. Survivors can't do that, they have to survive, so that is why they can't take it easy if the killer doesn't also take it easy or else they end up dying and having to try again for the crown.

  • For some time, I didn't know there were scratch marks, because the first months I only played survivor. I was puzzled when killers found me easily and then when I started playing killer and saw others running and the scratch marks, that was when I understood why.

  • Killers could take it a little easy since there is an event going on, but so far I only found one that decided to farm at 1 gen, it was a Nurse and she knew there was no way for her to win, so she decided to farm to get some points. Other than that, all killers I have faced are playing the exact same as every other day, with best perks, add-ons and no mercy...

  • Yes, sometimes your own team is the enemy. Also happens when someone is hooked and another survivor is looping the killer near the hook, preventing anyone else to try to save...

I suggest you wait and see if they brighten it first on Switch. You can't see anything at all in the shadows.

Oh, I didn't know that, thanks for the tip. My main interest on Switch is because you can just play anywhere. Let's hope they make the adjustments on Switch so it functions as intended.

  • Supernatural, but since the series ended, I don't know it would be relevant enough for characters from it being included in the game.

  • I think it's not terrible, but it's not good either. It's just the event from the last year, that is it. Just adding a few decorations, items and an offering doesn't make the event unique or good. Where are the actual good events? We have had them in the past. I liked the summer event, where you would fix the event gens for extra points or hook survivors on the event hooks for more points too.

We have the crowns as unlockables, but not only do they look a lot like last year's, but they are also visible from space. Only people who don't care about stealth would ever use them. Also, killers can get the crowns easily and survivors have to get them and survive, which is much harder, there should have been a middle ground, like, find a crown and fix a gen to keep it or something.

All in all, we were promised the anniversary and halloween events would be the best ones, because they would focus a lot on them, but it doesn't show, at all.

  • I play on PS4. I would like to try the game on Switch, but only if I could transfer/update all my progress, because I don't want to start over.

  • I'm not that great with any of them, but I like Huntress more.

  • Yes, fixing gens ends up giving you way less points than doing other easier things. For example, you destroy a totem in a few seconds and get 1000 BP, but it takes way more time to fix a gen and you only get 1250 BP. And if the killer is not even chasing you, there will be a point where you probably will get max points for fixing and then you will keep fixing without getting any extra points, which also sucks...

  • Meanwhile, I want my crowns and haven't had any killers that were good to me or any of my teammates.

  • There are some killers out there that just want to ruin any fun possible for survivors, even while an event is going on. I have been trying to play killer in a fun way, getting some points, but letting the survivors live, so they can get crowns. I played a match as Hag, got some points, at the end survivors were happy and I was too. But then I played a match as Doctor, trying to do the same thing, only to have 4 survivors with flashlights, trying to blind me all the time, so I decided to play normally and ended up killing 3 out of the 4. So, killers can be evil, but sometimes it's survivors that make them like that.

  • This event has not extra work, it's just the same as last year...

  • I also think it ends up being unfair that killers only have to get the crown and get to the end of the match, but I wouldn't change that or else it might become something too hard for the killers. Instead, the survivors should have other options to keep the crowns, like, fix 1 gen after getting a crown and you get to keep it. I have been playing for almost 2 hours, trying to get a crown for my Claudette and something always happens in the match, so I still haven't been able to keep it after the match...

  • I play on PS4 and it's bad on both sides. I don't understand how they release a chapter that breaks the game, makes it even worse if you play the new killer and the new map had to be disabled because of issues too...

  • Your concerns are valid, but with all these new players, it's to be expected that in the first month, for example, they make mistakes or play in a way that will change later, as they learn more of the game.

One thing I think we should have and don't, is a training mode. Really, I think it's important for people to be able to learn the game without having to go against other players or play in a team right away. The bots in the tutorials make me hope that a training mode could be coming in the future.

For example, I have been playing for years but I haven't played as Nemesis yet. I know that the first few times playing as him will be annoying, with me trying to learn things while playing against others. It would be much better to have a mode where I could try some things, see how he works best. And that goes for new players too, letting them learn more of both sides before dumping them in the main game.

  • There is no scenario, because of a videogame, where people should ever say to others that they want them dead or for them to end their lives. Period. If you can't deal with a loss in a videogame and have to say something that nasty, stop playing it. People can be immature and be salty, but this is another level and they don't know the effect it may have on the people receiving that much hate.
