I just played as Adam yesterday, but he is one of the survivors I mostly forget. I don't really like his cosmetics. Jeff is a bit better, but still not by that much. Of course, since we have some many survivors now, some are going to be more popular and others, like Jeff and Adam, will be mostly forgotten.

I don't know if the bat would be a good idea or not. I think some people, me included, would like a way to fight back as a survivor, in a more direct way than we already have now, but the game is not built around something like that, like Friday the 13th The Game was, so if the bat was introduced, it seems it would be too powerful and easy to use, especially if more than 1 survivor had it. There would need to be a downside to the survivor to balance it, I think.
-
I like Plague, so I think she only needs some QOL improvements. Maybe give her some buffs if x number of survivors are infected or maybe debuff the survivors if they stay infected for too long.

Since most killers I find are the exact opposite, trying very hard, I have no complaints if the killer wants to chase people, but is not doing everything he/she can to win. People will still get some points and if survivors don't like it, just fix, escape and get into another match.
-
I also like to play Freddy. He is easier to play than some of the other killers, which doesn't mean that he wins every time. I like him more than before the rework, both to play as and against, but I understand that some people really dislike playing against him now.
-
Quentin is the one with an urgent need of a face rework.
-
I remember a match in Badham where I was playing as Steve and the killer was a Doctor. He chased me almost from the start and downed me when the last gen was done. I was hooked, camped, but my team saved me, with him going after me again and I managed to confuse him and take the path he thought I wouldn't, so I escaped. It was stressful, but never had I looped a killer for so long. He was bad, tryhard and lost the match because he wanted to focus on me so much, he didn't care for anything else.
-
I hate people that try to destroy the others fun just because. If they all brought these offerings, what they did was intended. Why try to bully the killer like that? Speaking for myself, I just want to play the game for fun. I'm not a good killer, I know, so I get into matches and try my best, but with people tbagging, trying to flashlight me at every turn, going out of their way to bodyblock and be toxic, sometimes when I haven't even hooked a single survivor, give me a break.
I try to never dodge a lobby. I usually ready up and sometimes don't even see what people I get in the lobby, what items they have or what offerings were used (and this is valid for both roles, if the wait times are big, I go do something else and come back when the match is about to start). I know people see the game in different ways, but I can't see the fun in trying to be mean to other players on purpose, be it playing as a survivor, a killer or sending hate messages after a match.
-
I have seen this happen a lot of times. A good player loops the killer for multiple gens, only to get downed at the end (sometimes because of NOED) and die, while the others survive. The thing is, while it is not fair for that survivor, if the killer has NOED or is a oneshot killer and is camping, there is not much the others can do. If that is not the case, then the other team members should do what they can to save the survivor who was the MVP of the match.
-
We haven't gotten new maps for a while and we really should. Just because they are reworking the older maps, doesn't mean no new maps can be added and the one for this chapter would have been very interesting.
-
Doctor can be annoying, but it doesn't mean he is very powerful. And even if you hit madness tier 3, you can go down to tier 1 again, so you aren't always screaming. It just takes some time to learn to play against him.
-
It depends on my mood. Sometimes I use the cosmetics I think look the best on the characters, while other times I try to do the ugliest combinations possible, just for fun.
-
Why are you asking to remove a feature that helps killers that don't cheat, because some killers used hacks? Of course these don't need bloodlust, they have the hacks to help them, but the regular killers, the ones that don't cheat, need bloodlust (or at least, some of them do).

@NOEDaddy said:
So these codes are only for PC players ? Console players get nothing eh
What do you mean? The code works on PC and the consoles. I just used it on PS4.

Well, your idea sure seems to be thought out. Now, what I like, didn't like and some concerns:
Liked:
Survivors don't die in the main time of the match, so they get to play the full or almost full match
Killer doesn't have as much pressure to stop the gens and kill everyone, since no one can die in the main phase
Didn't like:
Maybe 15 minute matches would be too much. I think 10 minutes (base 8 + 2 min collapse) would be better
If the killer gets a 4 SWF toxic team, he/she will have to endure the main phase of the game without having a way to kill any of them, so in that aspect, the killer ends up being underpowered because nothing can actually kill the survivors in that period of time
Concerns:
No limit on BP gains. I was going to put this on the things I liked, but then I thought "Why would anyone really do gens instead of saves and chases, since they gave way more points?" I know you wrote about the gates time being lowered if more gens are done, but people are greedy and I think most would just go for unhooks over and over
If survivors don't die on hooks in the main phase and they can try to unhook themselves, what is the penalty for trying to do it? Also, what if no one wants to save you and you end up being there the whole time on the hook and can't seem to rescue yourself?
Final Thoughts:
I don't see this replacing the game the way it is now, but with some adjustments, it could be a new mode. And it would even work with 2 killers instead of one, maybe 2 killers and 6 survivors.
Also, maybe instead of survivors no being able to die, there could be a way for them to die, but respawn in like 30 seconds or 1 minute. That way, there is some punishment for you dying, but it doesn't mean the match is over for you either.
The fact that you can't die in the main phase, in my opinion, takes away the fear of being found, being hunted and downed, because whatever, you will just be rescued in a few seconds, probably. Anyway, I liked the way you constructed your idea, good job.
-
People can just be toxic when they have or think they have the upper hand. Sadly, as you said, there is no way to fight back being carried next to the hatch and moried there.
-
So survivors are tunneling a gen... and as a killer you are tunneling the same gen, if you constantly go back to it. Sounds like you all need to have an agreement and leave the poor gen alone to cool down for a bit.
-
Self care, for sure. Yes, a lot of people will say don't use it, but if you don't have a medkit or don't know where anyone is to heal you, you will have to manage being hurt and some people have a problem with that. Yes, you waste some time healing, but if you are going to hide everytime you hear the killer because you are hurt, you are also wasting time anyway.
-
Ok, getting a ban because something failed and it wasn't your fault is annoying, I can agree. But if you never DC and get a 3 minute ban, well, it's not the end of the world.
Now, to get a 5 hour ban, it means you DC'ed a lot. And yes, since the title of the topic is the said 5 hour ban, of course people are going to talk about it. A problem once or even twice a day may happen, but if people get a lot of time as a penalty, then they are the ones DC'ing when they should not, so they don't really have a real reason to complain.
-
I don't like the idea that someone else could tell you what you couldn't use. For killers, for example, ruin and chili would be banned all the time, making matches go much faster and cutting the bloodpoints the killer could get. And for survivors, perks that would be their second chance, like DS, would probably be out, so the killer would tunnel more.
-
I can't see it working, at least not the way it is described. It would be terrible to be a survivor, finish a gen and bam, power and you are back to not having the gen fixed and the killer is not there to either grab you or hit you and destroy the progress you had. If time was rewinded, at least that should happen for the killer too, so he/she would be at the same place they were before and not able to move foward in time when everything else is moving backwards.
-
I had to vote no, because there are many reasons to be afk and while it is true that being afk will give an advantage to the killer, punish afk with something too strong might be too much. This is because something might happen that forces you to be afk and when you come back you have a penalty that you couldn't avoid because whatever happened and forced you to not start playing right away.
-
I wouldn't mind having a FNAF chapter, really. It is a franchise that is known by a lot of people, could bring in new players and we don't have a killer that is similar to the FNAF killer, so it could be a good idea.
-
It's interesting to read all the different opinions on this subject. A while ago I made a poll about this and the opinions were divided too. I hate when someone I'm going to save tries to unhook themeselves in front of me. I'm coming to help them, so why are they trying to unhook themselves, while I'm right there? So they get points and not me. Then, if they succeed in unhooking on their own, they still want me to heal them. I'm sorry, but you were hooked, I took time of what I was doing before to save you and you steal my points away? That is not fair.
So, sometimes I do get the urge to just leave them on the hook to die, to teach them a lesson. Most times, I save them, for the good of the team and for points, of course. But if you unhooked yourself in front of me, don't expect me to go running the next time you are hooked and almost dead. Choices have consequences. You wanted to be selfish, I will be selfish too.
-
It depends on the game, it depends if there are pre-made characters or you can customize them. If they are pre-made, I'll probably choose a female character, but if you can costumize the character to your liking, I usually choose male.
-
I voted for Freddy because he is the one I like the most to play as.
-
Noed is fine, in my opinion. It has counters and even if it activates, it doesn't mean a survivor doesn't find the hex after and destroy it. It's a gamble, that might or might not work and a last chance for the killer if every survivor is healthy and all gens are done.
-
I voted for the farm, since we have 5 maps there, but the swamp also needs an update, as soon as possible.
-
Slugging late in the match, ok, I don't have a problem with it, but when it happens early, like even before a single gen is complete, I hate that. You downed me, hook me already and go after someone else, don't just leave me on the ground bleending while everyone else is fixing or doing something else.
-
I use BBQ, because not only it gives good info on where the survivors are, but the bonus blood points are a must.
-
I hate matches like that. You as a killer are trying to do your best, but the sweaty survivors just want to be toxic, bodyblocking all the time, tbagging, flashlight saving or clicking. There is a difference between trying to help a fellow survivor because you are near and can do that and just being toxic, not leaving the hook and trying your best to make the killer miserable.
I think sometimes people forget that they are playing with other humans, who have feelings. The fact that a lot of people only play one role also makes matters worse. While you can't just let the other side win and do nothing, sometimes people need to stop and think when things are too much and if you were playing the other role, you would like people to do the same to you that you are doing to someone else.
-
I agree that there should be more focus in fixing problems and releasing patches that don't break the game, instead of just releasing a new chapter every 3 months, which hads more characters to the game and usually more bugs too.
-
One perk I use and don't see most people use is Empathy. Not only is it good for detection, but to also help the team. When someone becomes injured, not only do you know where the survivor is, but also where the killer is too and if he/she is close to you or not. If you are being chased and there are hurt survivors, you can spot them and lead the killer away from them. You can also find the hurt survivors anywhere in the map and heal them. It has helped me many times and also relieves pressure when I play, because if the survivor aura pops up on the other side of the map, I know the killer is not close and I can finish the gen safely, for example.
-
So a survivor is hooked, gets saved, killer comes and hits them, but the saving survivor had BT, then the poor survivor that was saved and hit again and chased, is downed and has DS, but the killer complains? There are a number of solutions for that. Don't chase the same survivor that was just unhooked or if you do, wait 60 seconds after the survivor was saved before picking them up.
By nerfing the perks, you are making the saved survivor even weaker. It's not their faul the killer is either camping or the other survivor just decided to save them right away instead of waiting for the killer to leave. It's not their fault the killer decides to tunnel them instead of going for the saving survivor. Both of these perks are there to give the survivor a chance in case they are chased by the killer right away. Would you like to be the saved survivor, with no chances of doing anything by being saved right in front of the killer and being chased again?
-
I don't think Deathslinger is weak at all, so I don't think he needs a buff.
-
They should have changed it already. Skill checks would be fine instead of button mashing.
-
I thought MMR was already active. If it's not, then we are having problems with ranks again, because I often get paired with a lot of different ranks, sometimes like rank 15 (I'm rank 5 at the moment). At this point, if the matchmaking is broken, might as well not have ranks anyway.
-
No, I don't think it is dying as of now, but I wonder how long can it keep up when it has only one mode and that mode, overall, has not changed since the game was released. Yes, we get new characters, perks and maps, but I believe if the game doesn't get at least a new mode, it will end up dying because people will get bored of always doing the same.
-
I have seen very different behaviours from killers when there is an obsession and when there is not. They are much more cautious when there is, because anyone they down might have it, while when there is no obsession, they tend to tunnel more. I would agree it would be better if there was an obsession every match, so the tunneling would be less than it is now.
-
I used to get messages like that all the time, even from other survivors who are salty for whatever reason. My advice, block messages aside from the ones coming from friends. That is what I ended up doing and it's been great. Not more toxic messages from stupid people. Also, it helps you not send those messages to others, because trust me, there will be a point where you will want to. And replying to the nasty messages might be a bad idea. I have a friend who got one of those killing him this and that and he replied with something like "Shut up you moron".
The next day he got a message from PS telling him he had a warning because he had insulted another player. This, when my friend was the one insulted first. So, be careful if you reply to these messages.

Playing survivor solo really is a gamble. Yesterday I was using my red envelopes to try to fix gens and get points in the first few matches, I got the worst teammates. Either they would go down very fast or would not fix. I think the first 3 or 4 matches I had less than 5 gens done in total, because my team was getting downed a lot, then I had to leave the gen and most times ruin was on, so by the time I came back, the progess was gone.
Also, people play the way they want, like just hiding even when the killer is not near, running off as soon as they hear an heartbeat while not even checking if the killer is coming or just chasing someone, getting off gens as soon as someone gets downed to try to go for the save, even if the person is on the other side of the map, etc. Also, keep being chased by the killer near gens, when the know there is a far away area with no gens and they could lead the killer there, so the others could fix.
-
I don't think it's ever fair to have a survivor work with the killer. I have had the chances, in games where there was only me and another survivor left, to help the killer find them. At a point, the killer makes it clear by downing you, not hooking and just wants you to see the other person's aura so you can lead t he killer to the person. Well, I don't do that. I have died again and again because has soon as I struggle off, I ran from the killer, went fixing, the killer became stressed, downed me again in hopes I would do what he or she wants and when they understand it's not happening, the finally kill me for good.
Of course I have had the opposite experience, where someone else starts working with the killer, finds me and then farms me on the hook to death and the other person escapes, which is not fair. Ratting someone out should not come with a reward. Once, when I was using bond, a survivor tried to do this to me, but since I could see them approaching with the killer, do to aura reading, I avoided them for a long time. The killer then thought the survivor was not helping him (because he would down her, it was a Claudette and she would see my aura, but when they would come for me, I was not in the same spot, of course) so the killer killed her and I got the hatch. It was funny to me, a big fail for them, but if I didn't have bond, I would have been dead and she would have survived.
-
I didn't have a real complaint about the HUD we have now, but seeing this idea seems to be the best one. All the information in a compact manner, easy to read and understand at a glance.
-
Not only a hill should be added, but the tree in the middle should have a vault or something. I hate playing on this map, because if the killer gets you in the middle, there is not much you can do.
-
I don't like to play against the Deathslinger, because his terror radius is so small, sometimes you barely have time to react when he gets near and then he shoots at you and you are already injured. At least you can hear the spirit coming and have more time to react.
-
Myers is the scariest, for me. Not only because of stealth, but you look around and there he is, standing, looking at you. Creepy.
-
I don't really like the map. Besides being confusing, but that is at least ok, I have a hard time finding gens sometimes. I wish it would get a similiar treatment as the hospital and there would be some kind of sign at the doors of the classrooms with gens inside.
-
Survivor is easier, for sure. As killer, you are alone. If you make a mistake, there is no one there to help you fix it. Survivors are a team (even if not a good team sometime), so it's usually much easier than playing killer.
-
I think a Resident Evil chapter would be great and would fit DBD.
