Just make it so that there's always an obsession every game, even if no perks or ability depend on it. There'll be less of that kind of behaviour without forcing DS or some gimmick.
Yes. This is the easiest solution.
-
I hope the struggle mechanic is reworked. Skill checks would be fine instead of mashing a button.
-
I'm in the red ranks as survivor and the games vary a lot. Some are super easy, with the killer haven't little control of the map and everyone escaping, others are a nightmare. Granted, most times what changes the match is when someone is found and hooked.
If we manage to fix at least 2 gens before someone is downed, things will probably go well, but if we barely touched the gens and someone is already down, then someone goes for the save, then gets chased, then someone else goes for the save and only one person is working on gens, things usually star to unravel. Especially, if the killer decides to leave the chase, come back and just down the same survivor that was just unhooked.
-
It does not. Even if you buy the pass, you still get the same experience points as if you don't.
-
I would love if it was Emily or Beth, but Sam is probably the obvious choice.
-
Devotion 11, level 83.
-
I use We're Gonna Live Forever, so if I was fixing a gen, left it and ran half across the map to save you and then you save yourself in front of me, costing me time, points and one token for the perk, yes, I will be mad and the next time you are on the hook it probably won't be a priority to save you. It was your choice to do that, it is my choice to do what I feel I should too...

I play on console and this is why not having the end game chat is good. Yes, we also lose out on compliments, but it's a small price to pay. Still, I have blocked messages from non-friends because everyone just spams messages to the killer, to other survivors, for this or that and I don't have the patience anymore.
-
As a survivor 7, I think. As killer, probably 3.
-
I don't know if she is, but it would be ok if she was. We will see when she gets new lore in a future archive.
-
I don't hate them, but some are just annoying and cut paths that should not have dead ends, especially when you are being chased and find out that particular path has no other way to go through. Now, if there was a survivor perk to destroy walls, at least it would give the survivors an alternative on what they could do.
-
If you play without being toxic, tunneling, camping, etc, it should be fun, but I agree it is not. Trying to not chase the same person twice, to not take advantage of finding the person that is still hurt after being unhooked, usually, for me, ends up in me hooking survivors twice and then all of them (or maybe minus one) escaping. I played fair? Yes, but do I feel good when I'm the killer and almost everyone (or everyone really) escapes? No...
-
Out of these, a killer from Resident Evil would be ok (with Leon or Jill as survivors. Or both)
-
I like the Plague better. Of course the playstyle of the match will be decided not by the killer herself, but by the survivors. If they don't cleanse, they are oneshot and easier to spot. If they do, it's time to get some corrupt purge and down people.
-
I usually start to fix the first gen I see, since they are the main objective. Sometimes it's not the best idea, because in a few secs I have the killer on me, but on other times the killer doesn't come and the gen is finished even before someone is chased and hurt.
-
I hated to play against the old Freddy. Now, he is stronger and I enjoy playing with and against Freddy.
-
Sometimes surviros go down quickly because they are careless and greedy. Like, a survivor is hooked. The second it happens, two others leave the gens to go for the save. Sometimes the killer doesn't even have time to leave the area and someone is already being saved. Then the killer comes back, survivors get hooked again.
There needs to be a balance between doing gens and other things. The problem is if you play alone, with people you don't know, you don't know if they will do everything to finish a gen or hide in a corner the second they hear the killer.
Also, sometimes the gen placement is terrible. I don't remember the map, but I had a match were 4 gens spawned very close to one another. Then, a 5th gen a bit farther and only 2 gens actually far away. It was one of the biggest maps and I found it stupid that most gens were all cramped. Of course the killer didn't even leave the area, because all the needed gens were in the same place.
-
Unless you get the same person like 2 times or more and they behave the same, I believe judging someone from a single match is a mistake. I myself behave in different ways if I'm playing alone or with friends, if the killer is this or that, if I have not been hooked or I'm on the last hook or if I am doing well as a killer or badly.
I remember a match, some time ago, where another survivor was t-bagging the killer so much, making the killer rage after them, then dropping pallets and blinding them. After the match I messaged the survivor, asking why he was so mean to the killer. He answered he had the challenge to blind the killer x times and it was why he was doing all he could to make to the killer go for them.
So, if I had not messaged the survivor and I had that avoid player button, I would surely use it. He was not toxic to me, but I didn't like it. Same with people I see some times, when in a match they are very helpful and in another they hide in a corner, afraid of doing anything. One match is not enough to judge a person as a whole.

I don't agree with the statement that the game can't have the DC penalties. I think it should have them, no question. There are bugs, but most times you don't even experience them. The stuttering I can agree that is annoying, but not applying any DC penalties to anyone just opens the game to people DCing because they can and will do it for any stupid reason.
-
The double BP event always brings the worst in everyone, but survivors and killers. Both seem a lot more desperate to get points, to the point the survivors just farm each other in front of the killers and the killers tunnel more for easier kills.
-
I never played Billy much, but I can say that at least to me as a survivor he is super annoying do the grunting sounds he now makes when using the chainsaw and the sound of the chainsaw being too loud. Before, I didn't like to face Billy because of the 1 shot ability he has, now it's purely for the noises.
-
I have no idea how many times someone has to DC to get a ban that big. Just don't dc and the problem is solved.
-
I mean, the survivor's objective is to fix gens. If the killer doesn't apply enough pressure to them, what are survivors to do? Stand around doing nothing? It's the same as survivors complaining of killers downing and hooking a lot of people in a row. Are killers suppose to make it easy for them? Everyone has their part to play.
-
I agree with the post, because if people didn't complain, what we would get was... well, nothing. They only lowered the amount of shards required to buy the outfits and gave login bonus because people were upset. And that happened last year too. And the year before that. The problem is the devs keep making mistakes, which are not actually mistakes, they make the decisions and then change something when the community rages. I agree that the people who bought those outfits in the first 2 days should be refunded the difference. It's only fair.
-
Besides glitches and bugs, I see no valid reason to just DC. You not liking the map is not a valid reason to DC. Or you not liking the killer. Or not liking to be the first one found and downed. Or not liking the killer farming. Or just wanting to give someone the hatch.
It should not be in one player hand to just have that much impact in a match and then not have any penalty. I mean, you start the match, it's a map you don't like, you DC. How is that fair for the other survivors, if you are a survivor or for the survivors if you are a killer and just leave?
Same with the other examples. The penalties are here to make people think twice before just leaving for petty reasons. Of course, it can happen that the game disconnects by itself and you get a penalty, which is unfair, but the amount of people I saw DC just because they could, justifies the penalties being implemented.
-
I think you mean now the crow sounds just play randomly? Because I have heard them when no one is near, no killer, no survivor, not even a crow. Or is there a new mechanic to trigger the sound that I don't know about?
-
Yesterday I died 5 times on the hook struggling because the game did not register me mashing the button. I hope they fix this soon.
-
I want a bit of the blue tint back, not as much blue as it was before, but now it looks too different without it.
-
I liked the original event, but we can't forget it also had problems. You could only harvest the plants a few times, until you reached the limit and then you were locked out of getting points from them. Also, survivors were killing themselves on the hook as soon as they had the vial full, so they could just go to the next match and no gens were getting done because people only wanted to farm the plants. I think we could get this event back, but with a few changes, so the same things don't happen again.
-
The problem is that every year people need to complain. 2 years ago, it was about the vials being separate from killer and survivor and the waiting times for killers being very high. So people complained and they merged the vials so you could play either role and get them all. Last year, they only wanted to give 1 free outfit, people complained again and we got two of them. Now, this year, no free outfits and they were very pricy. People complained, they lowered the cost and we will get daily log in bonus so people can at least get one of these outfits for free. But why keep making mistakes year after year? And worse, only try to fix things if people complain...
-
People are entitled to their opinions, doesn't matter if they are good or bad. But of course people who started playing in the last fews months or people who have started playing years ago might have different opinions. I have been playing for years and I have seen a lot, good and bad, so I can say this event is worse than both halloween events before and I understand why people complain. Of course, for someone new, that has not experienced them, there is nothing to compare to, so why complain?
I can understand both sides, but just a warning for new players. I have seen the devs make mistakes and only because people complained things were changed or more things were given. So, complaining, if there is a reason to, should happen. I have no doubt that our complaints were what made them drop the price of the new outfits. We complained and 2 days later, they changed it. It is not a coincidence. If people stood silent, that wouldn't have happened.
-
I decided to wait and don't buy any skins because I thought that maybe, with the backlash that was happening, since the event didn't give any free skins, the devs would change their mind and give us a free one. Glad I didn't buy any before. Now I have, at the new price. I can understand that people are upset. If they wanted to have a lower price, it should have been from the start, not two days later.

I hate that these codes are limited to a number of people. So to get the charm, someone has to be following the streamers, be lucky to even be online when they give the code and be even luckier to be one of the first and get it. I play on PS4 and even if the console players are at a loss, compared to PC, the charm should be given to everyone. No more limited codes and make it so that at the end of the event a new code will be given to everyone, so the people who don't have the charm will get it and the ones that got it before had a few days to brag about it.
-
I don't like Shelter Woods either. It needs a rework at least for the middle of the map.
-
I agree that it is disappointing that there are no free skins this year. This doesn't seem like an event at all.
-
I hope they fix this soon.
-
I have played a few matches and it is terrible. Everything is very choppy and stuttering.
-
Meg was the first survivor I played. When I started playing the game, I got a daily for her, so that was who I used and I liked her from the start.
-
In my view I find it so distasteful to try to unhook yourself when someone is right there to save you. It has happened to me a few times that the hooked survivor does that and sometimes they actually free themselves.
I remember one time, there were only 3 of us left. One got hooked, another started being chased and I was on the last gen on the other side of the map. I left the gen and ran to the hooked survivor. When I got there, she tried to unhooked herself in front of me and actually did it. Then she just crouched for me to heal her.
I was so mad. I left the gen, got to the other side of the map only to not even get any points for trying to save. If it wasn't for the points, a lot of times when I see that kind of behavior, what I want is to let them rot on the hook and get in the second phase, to teach them a lesson. But I don't or the whole team ends up suffering...
-
I don't think this would be a good idea, because it would increase the waiting times a lot and also survivors should not have the power to choose whose killers they don't want to face, like the killers should not be able to choose what survivors equip, for example. What I got from your post is the problem with people DCing against killers they don't like to play against. Well, that is the survivors fault, not the killer.
Everyone should be able to play as the killer or survivor they want and if a survivor keeps DCing because they don't like certain killers, then maybe the should just stop playing. If my friends started DCing like that I would tell them to stop doing it or stop playing with me, because it would also hinder how the match would go for me. I had a friend that would always DC if he got downed and it was his last hook. I told him to stop, because he could be saved, we could maybe block the killer or those seconds could buy the others time to finish gens and escape. While he resisted, eventually he understood we were right and stopped doing it.

Between the two, Coal Tower.
-
I wouldn't mind it, even if I'm not familiar with the game.
-
BBQ is great, not only for the aura but also for the Bloodpoints.
-
I love the Wraith outfit, but Clown is close second.
-
Spine Chill and Empathy for survivor, Nurse's Calling and BBQ for killer.
-
I also like to cleanse totems. Most times I see one, I stop to cleanse, unless I need to go for a save really quickly or there is a gen near almost done or there is only 1 gen left, so we need all the time to fix. But most times, it's a simple task that gives a lot of points quickly, so I do it.
-
Use what you want. Not everyone likes the same perks/killers/survivors/etc.
-
I don't like any of these much, but I guess Mother's Dwelling is ok.
-
Only Pharmacy seems to be worth it.
-
So far, I have liked the changes they made and it makes the maps look better.
