Shelter Woods really needs a rework. That map can be awful to play on, so I hope they do something about it.
-
The first time it happen to me, I was so shocked. I had no idea about the add-ons. I tought "Well, he is tier 3, I will get downed in a single hit, but someone might save me from the hook" But being killed on the spot, at full health, was unexpected, at that time.
-
Holding a game hostage is not ok and I don't see the point. So LF wanted to down you both and since he could not, he just stood there, blocking the way. I don't understand how that is fun, even for the killer. Just go for one of the survivors. If the other escapes, well, there will be other games where maybe the killer will kill everyone.
My line of thought, when I play killer is, if I can't kill everyone, just let me get some points trying to kill the ones I can and let the match end. With 5 minutes I could have started another match.
-
It seems he was bugged while being healed. It happened to me, on PS4. My friend was healing me, the killer came and he stopped healing me, making a skillcheck fail. Next thing I know, I could not do anything, not move, heal or run, only drop and pick up the item I had. I was hoping if the killer downed me, it would fix it, but it did not and the killer could not pick me up. My timer was not going down either. I decided to wait, killer got everyone else and closed the hatch. Even after the endgame timer had expired, I didn't die, so I had to DC. I hope this bug does not happen again, because it was annoying and I lost all the points and the item.

I'm currently level 29. All challenges done from the first tier.
-
The rift is very grindy, no doubt. People who play only 1 hour a day will never even get close to reaching lv 70 of the rift, at least, not as it stands now. Unless they change it so we get the shards faster, by reducing the exp needed or making us get more than 1 shard for leveling. The challenges provide some shards, but if they don't change tier 4, most people will not complete them. And then, there are people who only play one of the roles, so they can only complete half the challenges anyway.
I already completed the challenges from tier 1 and I'm lv 24, but I played a lot. My friends, who play like 2 hours a day, are having a hard time. Also, one of them only plays survivor, so it's even worse for him. I had already bought the auric cells before the rift came out, but I decided to not by the pass, at least for now. If I can't complete the rift or be close to do so, I won't buy the pass at all.
-
I also feel this event has less atmosphere, compared to the other halloween events. I have a hard time seeing if a gen is an event gen from afar, since the pumpkins are not that big and nothing else is changed for the gen. We could have more things on the gen or maybe even changing the event gens to orange color. Also, we could have had some decorations on the lockers, for example, just to remind of halloween.
-
I liked the charms on the hooks, but for survivors, they are too small, you almost can't see them.
-
I hope they change this, because these challenges are too hard and no way a casual player who plays 1 hour a day could complete them, since the devs said the challenges were based on the idea a person with 1 hour to play, each day, could do them. Not even people with much more free time. Very disappointing.
-
People DC for a lot of stupid reasons, especially survivors. They DC because they were the first downed, even if they were not even hooked yet. They DC if they don't like the killer they are up against. They DC if the killer used an hidden offering, even if the match already started. I mostly play survivor, but these stupid DC keep screwing the team. And if one person DC, then the chance of someone else doing the same seems to double.
-
I agree that the colors make no sense now and I like the idea of different colors for groups based on what they do.
-
I started using Spine Chill when Ghost Face was released and I found out it is a good perk, especially against the stealth killers. The small bonus it has also helped me in a few instances too. On the other hand, I feel like I become less aware of my surroundings because I was relient on the perk to activate and tell me when the killer was close, so I only use it a few times now.
-
I have yet to find a survivor who used mettle of man against me, after the perk was changed.
-
I never met more toxic people in a game than this one, so far. I would get hate messages when I was playing killer and survivor. I was not camping and only got 2 kills? Noob killer. I killed everyone? Tryhard. I was on the other side of the map and you thought I took too long to come rescue you? I was a bad teammate. I come to save you when the killer was face camping you and he had NOED? I should have been a better player.
People will always complain about something, so I decided to switch the privacy settings and now only friends can message me. Best decision. No more toxic messages, except one or two friend requests with toxic messages from desperate people.
-
The ones I have most problems with are for killers I'm not good at, like the Nurse, Billy or Ghostface. If I get one, I reroll. I don't usually have problems with dailies for survivors, but I get much more killer dailies than survivor dailies.
-
I agree. At least a double BP event would mitigate things a little bit.
-
I break all dull totems I see, both because of NOED and the blood points I get. There is no way to know if the survivor is running Inner Fire and if they are, they can't expect the others to just gamble with luck and avoid getting the points too.
-
There should be a no option. For me, no, NOED should not be removed.
-
Spirit is strong overall and people don't like to go against strong killers, mostly. For me, I just don't like Prayer beads, because there is no way to actually counter it and it makes even trying to fix a gen a nightmare, because she can just appear out of nowhere and grab you. Besides that, we just need to get better at dealing with her mind games.
-
What the killer did was not bannable at all. I mean, it was the last 3 gens, what was the killer supposed to do, leave the area so you could all fix and escape? Sometimes it happens that the gens get fixed and we end up with the last 3 very close to each other. Letting a match go for so long is mostly the survivors fault, with that time you could have started and finished another match entirely.
-
I knew that if you were to last to escape, the game would say instantly that the connection to the host was lost and it was annoying, but I had not seen that we lost BP and would not get the exp points. That really sucks! This patch really brought a lot of bugs with it.
-
I get why people 99% the gate, but I have died a few times because of that. Killer finds me when the gates are powered, I try my best to loop him and get to a gate, a few seconds later, to give time for someone to open them. I get hurt, rush to a gate and it's 99%. With the killer right on me, I don't have time to open it and exit, so I get downed and killed, while I see someone near a gate, trying to hide, which pisses me off.
So, most times, if the gates are powered and no one is on a hook, I just open them, because the killer might have NOED, come to me near a gate and down me before I can open it and leave too.
-
The totem placement might be a problem, but that is not a reason why the game is dying, at all.
-
I liked both original and licensed content, but since we had two chapters in a row with licensed content, I would like an original chapter next, to not have so many licensed content in a row and then probably a lot of original content in a row too.
-
I feel that, sometimes, the gates are very close together, yes, so if you are the last survivor and the hatch was closed, it's gameover, especially against Hillbilly or Spirit, so in that sense, the gates should not spawn so close together. But on the other hand, if that happens, slower killers like the Hag or Huntress might have a bigger problem stopping them from being opened and opening the gates with just a tap or few seconds would be unfair for the killer.
-
I also agree. The shadow people just feel weird. The plus signs would be enough.
-
I agree with removing perk levels. We don't need them anymore and the grind would be much better without them.

@Fog_King Again, those are optional. You vote with your wallet, like it then go for it.
If you can't afford 10$ for something you really, really want (much enough to brag on forums about it) then you are either adult that really need to fix their life or not adult so you shouldnt play games like those anyway.
When have I ever said I don't have money to buy the cosmetics? What I said is that they are expensive. I have money, but I won't spend 10$ on fictional pieces of clothes for this game. Maybe if it was half the price, I would and maybe others would too. Being optional doesn't make it untrue that they are expensive.
-
I know cosmetics are optional, but that doesn't make it ok that they are so expensive! One set of cosmetics costs more than a chapter, makes no sense.
-
I feel like, with this game, people are rude all the time. Really, I had to block messages because of this game. Anything that goes wrong has someone insulting others. You killed someone early in the match? They will insult you. You blew up a gen by mistake and alerted the killer? Teammates might complain by you calling you a noob.
You went a for a save, killer had insidious and the person you tried to save went down again? Or maybe you didn't go for the save in the first seconds and the person had to wait and they got mad? Or you used a killer they don't like and think that killer is unfair? Anything is ground for someone being rude.

Sometimes, I play SWF with other people I met online. Our group has 4 people and we are all from different countries, so we don't use mics to communicate. Between matches, we use the app to text each other in English.
The point is, I understand some SWF use mics, are toxic, are in contact all the time, but it's not always the case, like with my group. We just want to have fun. But a lot of times, after waiting for minutes for a lobby, we get one and the killer dodges, which sucks for us, because we just want to play.
When I play killer, I get a lobby, hit ready and don't even pay attention to what items people have, if they came together or not, I want to play, that is it. Do all my matches go well? Of course not, but it's not just because of SWF and I think it would be much less fun for me to just stand there waiting for people to show, see people joining together, dodge, search again and repeat.

I usually don't wiggle when I'm the last survivor, either. I accept defeat, and I'm fine with dying and moving on to the next game. The killer usually just hooks me. Sometimes, I'm given the hatch. Once, I had a killer (Doctor) do pretty much the same thing to me that happened to you, carrying me all over the Disturbed Ward map until he found the hatch, then putting me on a hook right next to it. I didn't care that I died, but I was annoyed at how much time he wasted. I didn't message him or anything, though, because that would've given him what he wanted: a reaction.
That was back before EGC. It hasn't changed me usually not wiggling, and it's thankfully a rare event because it's still only happened to me that one time. (I'm on the PS4, too.)
The killer you faced was just a troll. Don't let it get to you.
As the last survivor, if there is no point in wiggling, I don't do it either and let the killer just hook me. No point in trying to wiggle just to get downed again, if I'm even able to wiggle out. When I lose, I lose, but I also had killers carrying me to the hatch only to close it in my face. That is what they want (most times) to make us think of having hope and killing or picking us up or closing the hatch on our face as we get ready to jump in. It's just killers being stupid, which I hate, because I don't play toxic, so I don't get why they would to that to someone who wasn't toxic to them.
-
Not only people tend to play killer in events, a new killer was just released, with no survivor counter-part, so a lot of people are trying to play killer and the wait time is very long. Yesterday, after hearing this, I only played survivor and I was getting lobbies in less than a minute.
-
Glad to hear I'm not the only one having this problem, after reading people saying how easy it is to break him out of his power. Yesterday, I found him many times in the open, looked straight at him and was still exposed almost everytime. I was playing with a friend and same thing was happening to him and we were thinking what were we doing wrong, if looking at him directly wasn't working.

Some of what I dislike when playing solo:
- When I'm fixing, someone comes running, starts fixing too and in less than 5 seconds blows up the gen and runs away, attracting the killer to me and just screwing the fixing I had been doing well so far.
- When the killer is chasing someone and others just stand near, crouching. Like, if they are chasing someone, move away and go do gens, don't just stand there.
- When the killer has barely left the hook, like 3 or 4 seconds and someone unhooks me. Of course the killer will come right back and most of the time, the survivor doesn't even use BT, making me an easy target for the killer to down again.
- When someone is just making noise to attract the killer's attention, then they screw up and decide to DC on the spot.
- When someone is downed, I'm trying to block the killer to give them a chance to wiggle free and they just DC, making me the only target now, when I was trying to help them.
- When someone is downed for the first time, by any killer and they quit.
- When you start a match and someone DC's on the first 5 seconds. They could have done it in the loading screen, but they waited and screwed all the others on the team.
- When I'm fixing, someone was with me and left, then they get chased, they come to my gen, forcing me to hide a bit and instead of leading the killer away, they keep the killer right there, so I can't fix and sometimes the killer finds me and switches targets.
- When people know the gens that are not done are on one side, get chased and instead of trying to take the killer to the other side, they just run him around the area where the gens we need are, so no one fixes and if they get downed, then the hook is near and the killer doesn't have to choose between camping or going to the gens.
-
I get why they changed it, but as someone who as soon as the clothes store was released, decided to buy all the black clothes for my survivors, because I don't usually use the bright ones, now most of them are changed and it bugs me. Also, I never read anywhere they were changing them, not sure that change was on the PTB, so it was a bad surprise to find out. Still, not the end of the world.
-
Being tunneled and camped is very annoying, but the devs say it's not bannable, so we can't do anything. What bugs me is killers doing this during the events, when everyone wants to get points and then they just die with few points, because the killer could not go for someone else for a bit. While being tunneled, if you can escape for a time, you get points, being camped, aside from struggle, will not give you any points at all and is such a waste.

Both sides try to ruin it for each other. Let's just have fun!
I agree with this, both sides do stuff to ruin it for the other side, even in the event. Survivors with purple flashlights and instas, killers with moris and ultra rare add-ons, everyone wants to get their points, without caring for the others. And for survivors, they even ruin it for the other survivors, like everyone rushing for the saves instead of fixing, because they want WGLF stacks. I play survivor much more than killer and have seen this happen so much, lots of matches are cut short and everyone dies.
-
I was expecting an event, like we had in the past, with bonus for the hooks and generators, but it's just an offering and an item. Not even any new clothes to collect. Seems very week for the anniversary.
-
I mostly play survivor and yesterday I got fair killers, but on Thursday it was camping, tunneling and killers just acting like jerks all around. I mean, of course they won't play badly just because there is a double BP event, but killers face camping people during an event seems very wrong. Also, survivors being toxic to the killer and not leaving when they can, just making the match go on forever is not ok either.
-
I hate playing on this map, as both survivor and killer, because you can barely see the auras. It's time to fix it!
-
It depends on the situation. If there were DC at the start and the player is not toxic, I might let one of them get the hatch. Also, if the person was farmed during the match, being unhooked in front of me, I usually try to spare them. And more than once I have spared the last survivor alive, who instead of trying to find the hatch, decides to fix a gen.
-
My favorite is The Pig and she was my main for a time. On the other hand, I have hated Freddy from the moment he was released and still do.
-
Survivors and killers will always have something to complain about. I don't mind bbq or noed, but I don't like camping, especially if the killer decides to face camp the first person he or she finds, without any reason to do so.
I don't really care if I die or not, as long as I get some points. Some of my friends hate noed, but if we see it in action, at least it means we got to the last part of the match alive. Even as survivor, I don't like DS and I feel bad when the killer gets 3 people with DS in the same match.
All in all, most of the time, everyone is doing their best to win and with our failures, as both survivors and killers, we can learn to be better at the game.
-
Getting vials as survivor is much faster than getting them as killer.
-
Sometimes people just want to play normal games and not farm. Other times, they have had bad experiences with "friendly" killers. For me, for example, I have received messages asking me to farm, only for the killer to get us all together and kill us all.
Another time, the killer let us do gens, only to use noed when they were all done and down and kill us all, except one, who escaped. And there was also a Billy, which ended up farming with my friend. My friend told me he was ok and to come farm too. So I got to them and the killer downs and camps me until I died on the hook. My friend tried to help and was downed too. So, the problem sometimes is not that people don't understand it's a "friendly" killer, but because they don't trust the killer.
-
They solved one issue, so we can now play only one side and get all vials, but the other problem for survivors remains, after you get all 60 vials, you can't harvest anymore, which is bad. But since the event is coming to a close soon, I don't believe they will fix it at all.
I also don't believe it is a glitch or anything. There is clearly a broken vial image after you get 60 vials, so it was planned that way. But they changed the original ideia from 30 max to 60. If it had remained at only 30 vials to collect, we would have gotten even less points with the event and the harvesting.
-
I like Laurie. Quentin is good too, but I don't like what they did to his face.
-
Same thing for me. I played killer just fine this weekend, but now it takes forever to get a match, so completing the event will be very hard.
-
Mine is The Nurse.
