That isn't possible due to how the algorithm works with when the hatch spawns. When a set amount of generators are completed with how many remaining Survivors are alive, than the hatch will spawn.
So it would go in this order for when the hatch spawns.
- 5 generators completed for 4 Survivors alive (No generators left)
- 4 generators completed for 3 Survivors alive (1 generator left)
- 3 generators completed for 2 Survivors alive (2 generators left)
- and 1 Survivor will have the hatch automatically spawn no matter how many generators are complete.
Basically what this means is, there is no possible way he escaped in a legit way, so clearly he is cheating OR he is using a hidden exploit that isn't public knowledge yet. I suggest you file a ticket with this proof, and see what they can do about it. Here's the link.
-
How do I bypass the laws of psychics to put @GrootDude main into its rightful tier.
That would be G tier, for garb- I mean good guy tier.
-
It depends what role you're asking to be taught the basics. Because I can do both, but I prefer Killer as it is what I main after all.

@Rizzo said:
You won't get in trouble for mentioning an exploit.
Let me explain: when someone opens a thread saying they found this or that exploit and they explain how to reproduce it, what we usually do is sending the report to the team, then we usually contact the poster, explaining what we are doing with the report and if there's the chance that the issue can be abused, we usually remove the steps to reproduce it from the thread.
The issue starts when, after this process, the same person starts posting multiple times about said exploit, that could get you in trouble.
Ah, so mentioning past exploits in say a comment addressing problems that certain Killers had in the past, with exploits they were abusing is ok. Since A.) They don't exist anymore, and you're not actively giving exploits that still exist and B.) Because your intention was to give awareness to a past problem. You weren't actually giving information for people to abuse, its just contributing to a conversation.
That's good to know, because I try to stay within the forum rules and was curious if even mentioning an exploit can get you in trouble. But now i'm aware on what that rule actually implies.
Thank you for answering my question Rizzo.

As survivor I'm getting a lobby in 2-3 minutes and before was 2-3 secs. Is this normal now?
@Mochan said:
Seems to be the case. Same for me. This unbearable 2-3 minute survivor wait is killing my buzz. I sympathize with killers, but there's a reason I became a Survivor main (everythign to do with queue time).
As always it seems your mileage may vary depending on your region.
If this is still the case tomorrow it means BHVR screwed up big time.
It also means my long-running thesis that there is a survivor shortage is wrong. Heheheh!
Seems the roles have reversed with queue times. This is good for me as a Killer main but bad for Survivors, a double edged sword indeed...
I might as well enjoy the instant lobby's before they either revert the changes, or HOPEFULLY it becomes instant for us all :D

Would either of you @Rizzo90 @MandyTalk know the answer to this?

Derankers have to DC twice as much.
Good, that prevents them from trying to get to ranks that isn't their skill set.

I would like to get you a solid answer, so i'll @Peanits and @not_Queen to see if they have any info for you at this time.
Hopefully they'll be able to answer this question, so you can get some closure as this question has been up for a bit of time without an answer.

I would be fine if that was the answer...to much work to do RIGHT NOW but instead of that we get...no comment at all. I still dont see how providing blacks bars on the side would give me or anyone a unfair advantage.
It wouldn't that's the thing, but they either can't put resources to add support for such a niche set of people that use it at this time, or they just can't figure out how to support it.
Its most likely that they're just busy with things like dedicated servers, which they're putting most their man-power into at the moment, to do anything else that's considered "major" like, patches are one thing, they're not that hard to produce, but things like bug fixes, support, and other things take a bit more time.
I wish I could give you a better answer on the subject, but that's the best I can do without a official respond from the devs themselves. I hope it'll suffice for now...

Like Jacob Goodnight? I thought about that way back in 2016. Not sure how it could work in-game.
I've watched a lot of horror movies. See No Evil is pretty decent, even if it is a little cheesy and predictable.
I was always wondering if Pumpkin head would come to DBD, but than Demogorgon was announced and its pretty much the same thing but one has a tail and a different head...
But its basically the same thing isn't it? Except, I also think pumpkin is immortal since he's created from rituals or something? I haven't seen the movie in a long time so I forget the details...
-
I don't have a meme, so accept this happy pikachu instead.
-
It should be an original concept, not another movie Killer.
I like what BHVR thinks of when they create new Killers and Survivors, and lore overall. I want more of that...

Took me 5 minutes to find a lobby as killer. Am still waiting for the lobby to fill as of this writing. No real improvement, same for me. At least I'm not seeing severe mismatches in the survivor group.
Overall, probably a good thing, I'm thinking the game is not forcing me to go into groups with mismatched rankings. There's some wait time as survivor now which is not good, but if it fixes the ranking issues I'll be happy.
I'm getting instant lobbys, not sure why you're not...
And no, the mismatched ranks is still a problem, I was just complementing the fact that lobby's don't take 5minutes+ now. But in your case, I don't know why it hasn't improved.
-
All I want is Michael Myers Mask from Halloween (2018) :(
Than, my life can be complete.
-
I'm getting almost instant lobby's, so I don't understand why you're not getting the same now because of the new patch that just rolled out 3 hours ago.
-
@Mochan said:
Just got into the lobby. Getting into the match now. I was last so it didn't take long. Almost took about 2 minutes to find a lobby. This is not an improvement for me as a survivor. Will continue to monitor the situation, maybe it's just today at this time.
@Mochan said:
Just got the patch. I tried getting into a lobby as survivor. It is taking more than a minute now as I type.
What?!
I'm not liking this patch already. Be back to make a sandwich. If the lobby isn't ready by then I'm gonna try killer.
For Killers, its actually something all of us have wanted for a long time. I'm not dissing Survivors, but its kinda of fair that we don't have to wait 5minutes+ now for lobby's anymore, while Survivors usually got them under 30 seconds.
Like seriously, this is BIG and its actually something that will make me want to play more often again. The cue times is what killed it for me over these pasts months, so i'm very happy its been improved on Killers side finally.
Maybe it was just that specific time for you when looking for a lobby? Maybe cause of rank or because it was just an off search?

I was previously unable to, but now I can.
Good, just making sure.

You need to look for gaps in the loop, for example some loops have windows embedded in the loop, so you need to take advantage of when a Survivor vaults these windows and what routes they take with the loop.
If you mean the pallets with the half walls, some of those loops can actually have your hatchets go over them, depending on what angel you throw them at. So if you aim down where someone is behind the wall, the hitbox will hit the wall. You'll want to aim up a bit more than usual for the hatchet to go over the half wall.
Now for loops like shack, you'll want to take advantage of some Survivors that rely on looking behind them for when you wind up a throw. Sometimes they'll fake a window vault so you throw the hatchet at the window, instead you'll want to anticipate this and see if they'll actually vault the window or not before releasing the throw. When vaulting a window, a Survivor is gravitated towards it before they vault. You can clearly tell when they're going to vault and when they're not going to vault because of this animation.
Also, make sure to use moonwalking around loops that have walls, and mind-game and double back on corners and areas that have short distances between the pallet. This will give you the chance to actually get a hit or a hatchet throw off.
Also, a small tip. When successfully hitting a Survivor with a hatchet, make sure to follow it up with a regular M1, as most Survivors tend to bump into walls when they get hit by a hatchet because they were too busy looking behind them to know whats in front of them.
-
If they've done it in the past I wouldn't doubt they would do it again for this upcoming one.

If you originally linked to the video when it was private, it'll just appear as a blank grey since it couldn't get the video at the time. Once you made it public, everyone is able to click on it and watch the video, it's only the thumbnail that's missing.
Fixed it, thank you for letting me know about that btw.
-
I'll have to re-upload it AGAIN! so it doesn't look like that. Cause it may not be a big deal but it bothers me :(
Also, as a reward for doing such a good job at letting us know about this blessing that is the new match-making... take this as your prize!
Enjoy.
-
Good to know, thank you for letting me know.

I don't know why the thumbnail doesn't work... So its just a grey screen before you click on it.

How about now, does that work?

Do you still get ranks 1 and 5 players in your lobby?
As a Red Ranker myself yes... I haven't seen Rank 10s or below yet.
If I do, that's another issue to address. But the match making is finally shorter than 30 seconds, which is BIG for this game...
-
Instantaneous almost actually.

Big relief to hear. I hope a lot of the other issues were sorted too in this patch.
They should be as far as what I read from the patch notes.
The Dying Light one hasn't shown up yet though, so I don't know if I missed it or it hasn't been fixed yet.

@Spooky13 said:
Thank god for that, but how are the ranks you're going against?
So far the two matches I went up against was my own ranks.
The standard Reds, with the mix of Purples. First match was Reds, 2nd had 2 Purples.

Still works nicely in most of my matches. This problem with Freddy is something new.
I never notice it because I either play Stealth Killers (I mix up every match so idk) Or people don't know how to use BT anymore... Cause it's never used in a good situation anymore.
@Mr_K said:

BT is still strong. The reduced bleedout timer is compensated by not going down in TR.
Only a handful of killers can take advantage of that.
Still, I hardly ever see it in play anymore at high ranks. It was only really effective during an end game scenario anyways. Maybe it's not good against me because I use stealth Killers more often? But I do mix up Killers every match, so Idk.

That was literally a HUGE buff to the perk.
Depends, after that "buff" I hardly saw it in play as much anymore... It was definitely not a buff if it was used less... It was just a correction in the system to compensate for how the mend timer works, so why wouldn't BT work the same way?

People don't understand how ######### Myers is, even with infectious fright
Do you have any problems dealing with noed killers? No, because you loop them still. So why should Myers be strong?
Only noobs can't loop him
The stealth is what makes him harder to loop or even think ahead of, same with GhostFace.
They both have their strengths, GhostFace is shorter and can make his TR 0, while Myers is make his TR 8 with the assistance of M&A at Tier ll, and its 0 at Tier l.
Myers has an increased Lunge at Tier lll and faster vault speed, while GhostFace can expose his victims faster, and more effectively because of his size.
They're both good in their own rights, but one isn't better than the other.
-
BT has lost its momentum since it was nerfed back when Legion dropped.
I'm surprised people even use it anymore...
-
Some people here don't actually play the game for more than one or two matches actually, they just love discussing and being apart of the community.
Right? @NMCKE
-
You're the only person to put Myers and GhostFace on the same slot.
Bravo.
-
I'd like to see it implemented in other ways, rather than where it was previously. I don't think having it when he's at 99% would do much of anything, since you'll still most likely get insta-downed by it if hes after you...
I couldn't tell ya where else it could go if that's the case, so without anywhere else to allocate it, i'd think having it there would be fine.
-
It was changed to compensate for people who play at low settings I believe, so its here to stay.
Personally, I didn't notice any difference...
-
I can't find a exact time for when it will drop on the switch from any news source, but its definitely happening today.
Going off of previous history with new content released for Dead by Daylight, my own estimate can conclude it will most likely drop around either 12PM EST or around mid-afternoon at 3PM EST like some content has in the past. An exact time I cannot find anywhere on any source sadly.
@Peanits Can probably tell you a solid time, unless its already out by the time I post this answer...

Yeah but it is kind of Bhvr's MO at this point. Create a perk to try to help alleviate a problem.
When in reality it doesn't fix anything... Sometimes it creates even more problems.

Your premise that it "must" be because of blood trails is false. The idea that it's because they want to encourage healing makes much more sense.
That actually would make more sense, as the benefit to being healed activates the perk. Perhaps they're focusing on people relying on healing builds with said perk?
That's kind of an oddly specific... thing though...

There's no reason why moving faster while injured would not be more beneficial.
Which is better?
- Blood trails
- Groans of pain
- Walking normal speed
Or
- Blood trails
- Groans of pain
- Walking 20% faster
Not to mention that Iron Will exists. And blood trails disappear. And tall grass is a thing.
Your logic just doesn't make sense. Just because walking faster while not injured is better doesn't mean walking faster while injured is pointless.
That isn't my logic, its the logic i'm trying to figure out to why it was made this way, please don't insinuate things...
My point is, if they made it this way it must be because of the blood trails yes? It kind of makes sense I guess because you'll leave trails of blood across a long stretch of path you walked I guess???
If this was the case, Urban evasion works while in both states, so I also don't really follow the concept either. I'm just trying to piece together why it was thought about in the first place I suppose.

If the goal is to get across the map faster without leaving marks that can be spotted a mile away then it clearly helps. Not everything is about escaping the killer in a chase.
Everything is about sneaking and getting away from the Killer, that's kinda a GOOD IDEA to do against a Killer.
Regardless, leaving blood trails that can be seen fairly well in the open kinda makes Fixated pointless if you're leaving a long trail to the Player... Plus you make noise, which makes it worse. Tbh, if they changed it, it wouldn't really matter anyways.
So change it or don't, not like it matters tbh... I'm just giving my reason to why they made it that way.

I feel they're aware of it though, and it will eventually get fixed.

Maybe you should let him get a feel for things before you show him some tips and tricks (If he does decide to give it another chance that is...)
Maybe he'll like it, maybe he won't. But letting him try it out for himself a few matches before showing him the meta would help him settle into it more naturally... than artificially.
Just a thought, you don't have to take my word for it.
