That's a very interesting set of circumstances that happened to you, maybe you can file a bug report about it and they can see what to do about it if its replica-table.
I do hope your future matches are better than what you had to face during that one...

I mean that is true, but it's still too easy to get rank 1, especially on survivor side.
That is also true, but if they increased the difficulty even more, it wouldn't have a point... Since why work hard to get to a rank that doesn't reward you in anyway... You don't get rewards for being Rank 1 (Not until they add the ones they said they were gonna do in the future)
So... Its kinda odd to have any of us work for something that doesn't give us anything, maybe longer que times I guess?
-
No I know, i'm not bashing the idea i'm just giving my insight on how this would have a role into the current meta.
Maybe when doing the new 2nd option to break the hook while someone is on it, you're given say a set amount of time of about 20 seconds or so? And breaking the hook would instead increase the broken hook timer by 30 seconds or something? Instead of being permanent, as if it was permanent it would cause a issue where people would constantly break hooks permanently and have the game be insanely harder to hook others.
-
Some constructive criticism here. Wouldn't that just strengthen the problem with camping and proxy camping that some Killers do at lower ranks? How would they be able to break the hook fast enough before the Killer comes back to monitor the hook.
Even in a normal scenario, the unhooking process should be as quick as it usually is, I think having a new system that requires you to break the hook to unhook a Survivor wouldn't go well in regular matches... People would exploit the window of time each unhooking takes, and ultimately get the other person downed as well.
Now if they had it as a 2nd option like you said, I can see it possible working but it would be very niche at best. Most people would just unhook you can continue the game, rather than going through the process of breaking the hook while they're on it.
Plus, the original problem comes into play also, which is why they made the hooks respawn after awhile. Back in 2016, people would break hooks constantly, and they wouldn't respawn... This made the game incredible long and tedious for the Killer, since you'd have to use iron graps + agitation (the meta at the time) to get the Survivors to the only unbreakable hooks, which were the basement hooks...
So say, if there is 12 hooks in total to kill all Survivors, and they broke 11 of them, it'd make the process increasing difficult to get another hook... I don't even think there are more than 10 hooks in a game actually.. but I could be wrong.
Now say, if you increased the "unhook, breaking hook" speed, it would make that a meta... and have most Survivors at Rank Red breaking hooks permanently and having them not respawn.
Now, if we DID have the hooks respawn, and this mechanic was added, I think that would be alright... We already have a perk that does exactly what you described... so it could work.

Ok, you show me how to bloodlust the ironworks of misery infinite window...
If you're constantly following them around the loop, you'll eventually blood lust them enough to catch up and hit them.
If they were "holding the game hostage" i'm guessing this was during a game where they weren't the only Survivor in the game at the time. Why would you let yourself get looped around that window for the entire game if that's the case?
If it was just a solo Survivor, why would you not just close the hatch and activate the EGC making the loop pointless.

They already rolled out fixes, so I guess they think it is done but it definitely is not! Sorry but I am a bit impatient when someone holds my game hostage because of this and forces me to DC after 15 minutes.
I doubt that's possible because of blood lust, which makes infinite's a dead concept.
-
Again, like many things i'm sure you've already reported... they're aware of it and are looking into it. You'll just have to be patient and wait until they come to that problem on the list of things to fix.
-
@Peanits Informed us that it will be fixed in the next upcoming hotfix, so we'll have to be patient and wait till that hotifx comes out.
-
The perk says it won't work unless you're not injured. I'm guessing this is the case because walking faster while you're leaving trails of blood doesn't really help in anyway...

They already did this in Ormond, with those big ass rocks. I don't think we need another Ormond.
No... I don't think we need another Ormond...

its actually impossible to loop a decent huntress because the boxes of those loops are just too short. im not saying bunny mom is op by any means. im just saying that the terrain makes it next to impossible to loop her normally. its quite unfair knowing that when that kind of loop is my last resort that im screwed anyway. fun.
You can actually crouch to avoid the hatchet throws at the right spot on the loop... I don't think they should change the loop to make Huntress have a harder time against Survivors that can actually destroy her.
@FriendlyGuy said:
Ok i give you something magically here. CROUCH! Tadaaa!
Play a bit of Huntress on those maps and see how difficult it is to hit those shots.
It really is pretty easy to avoid the hatchet throws if you crouch close enough to the wall. The hitbox of the hatchets can't get over it.
-
Yes, you can still play while they review the ticket. When you get a refund, it is added to your total Blood points that you already have, if you are refunded say 1million Blood points or more, it goes past the limit to give you the proper refund.
It only goes past the limit for that special case though, so yes you can still play and get BPs without fear of not getting the correct amount you lost.
-
People hyped him to be Top-Tier, but hes pretty Mid-Tier from the way I see it.
That's not a bad thing though, I actually like him a lot and the buff to have his basekit break pallets will probably make him Top-Tier in the future. Which is great, we could use more Killers that're Top-Tier, instead of just Billy and Nurse...
Personally, I like the Killer, and I don't regret buying him.

So hitting great skill checks is an exploit now?

I'd like to know what exploit OP is talking about as well. It can't be gen tapping, that's been a known counter for Ruin for ages.
We'd all like to know tbh, but I think if the OP actively told us how to replicate the exploit... he'd be jailed for it or something, because hes releasing information on how to exploit.
Now if the exploit was patched, than he could say it. So in the future maybe he'll reveal it, or the patch will just tell us.
-
This is what the Achievement says now. Going off of this, its basically telling you that getting anyone into the dream state, whether hitting them when they're awake or waiting for the timer, will count towards the achievement.
So yes, it is attainable, its just been reworked to fit the new Freddy.

@Snapshot said:

And that should stay so.. Hopefully it does not spread like wildfire
If it did, it'd probably get patched incredible fast...
If its not a mass issue, it won't be patched.
-
What exploit? I never encountered a "ruin exploit" in any game when ruin was up for longer than it should've been...
Never heard of this before.
-
If a 2nd objective was added, i'm sure we'd get more people.
-
If anyone were to chase someone for 5 minutes, than get 4 man escaped with Survivors doing the fortnite dance at the exit gate...
I wouldn't be surprised if they uninstalled after witnessing that.

Part seven had slower shift, increased water speed and more weapon damage, he was kinda the weakest. I think part 3 and 9 we’re meta, I rarely saw a part 7.
Did you ever see a Sivini Jason?
Most of those were just hackers with duped codes...

I became really really good on both sides and the game just lost its fun. I mained Vanessa and Tithony (don’t remember how to spell it) and part 7 Jason.
Wasn't part 7 and part 2 Jason the meta of Jasons?
One that can teleport and phase walk insanely fast, and the other one can run.
Of course, if you had Savini Jason, you'd just win the game because he was WAY TOO OP!!!
-
Lery's is my Favorite because Myers/GhostFace on there is really fun to scare everyone...
Crotus Asylum is my least favorite because of the 4 safety pallets that main building has, with its loop that could go on for 4 minutes if you use it correctly.
That's if of course, I even get baited to chase for 4 minutes. Which I won't...
-
@GrootDude said:
I quit Friday The 13th and came here.
I'm guessing spamming the kill button for Survivors to die wasn't fun anymore after the 4th time...
There's such thing as being too OP as a Killer... And it gets boring.
-
Try again.
-
I do, only because it was funny watching people hide behind anything when you walk by.
The hiding spots people would choose were so bad...free hits for days.

I think those of us waiting for it would really prefer the hood, since it suits her. I don't want just bunny ears, although I'd still take them. They might have to completely redesign the way the clothing system/outfits work in order to do a lot more things they probably want, and it won't be easy. I'm still holding out hope, though!
We'll see how it goes, if its still being worked on than i'm sure they'll find a way.
-
In the future, the daily system will get way better than it already is.
Mobile already has something that looks promising.
-
@Coriander said:
Bunny Min! But the devs said the way hoods work in regards to top item/chest item it is very very difficult to do, since it would have to work no matter what jacket or shirt you equipped.
Why not just make it a hat if that's the case?

@Peanits said:
It should be fixed in the upcoming hotfix (any day now).
Outstanding.

@FireHazard If it is the case, than I don't think he'd be a bad choice as a Killer, I'd just think he'd be an odd one tbh. I'd prefer a original Killer for the next DLC, just like everyone else would I believe. But who knows, maybe that's our next DLC, we'll just have to wait and see
I agree with you on getting an unlicensed killer, as I would prefer a new and game-changing killer rather than a cheap gimmick.
The way you wrote that out confused me, cause I can see its a quote of what I said, but it doesn't indicate that it was lol...
Anyways, yeah, an original Killer would be cool for the next DLC.
-
Forgot to @ you.
-
You can mention people, it just can't be done in a name shaming way.
That's what the rules are against, name shaming.
-
This was discussed previously with other people.
I don't think they're adding him as the next DLC, I believe it was just something unrelated to their upcoming movie.

Hoping they just go back to event specific Hooks and Gens. Putrid Hooks and Putrid Gens would be fine.
That'd be better than what they did previously...

Can't relate, was taking a break from DBD at the time and came back when there was only 2 days left for the event. I heard about how bad it was though. Ended up shelling out 10 bucks for Wraith's skin that I never use because I have Wax Warlock.
It was basically horrible, so if they repeat it with the same concept... you'll expect the event to be mass suicide by hook again.
-
The perk is niche, so any buff just makes it more worth it to use finally...
-
He's stalking your nightmares next...
-
Mine is his P3 Face personally, the description is kinda interesting in how written it is when describing blood on his face...
And its the only face that I honestly like, maybe Claudette's face too.
Also, @GrootDude you're up.
-
No... you're just boned my friend.

Probably a way to earn them for free again with Putrid Serum then.
Honestly, if they do a Hallowed Blight 2.0, they really need to make the 2nd objective not result in mass suicide on hook...
Like seriously, every game as a Survivor was people dying for serums... the Moonrise event made that concept a bit better, but it still wasn't the best 2nd objective...
And also, playing as Killer for serums was awful when waiting for 10 minute lobbys each... It got so bad that they just made the serum count for both classes... it was just a giant slap in the face for people who were literally 5 serums away on Killer... (Aka, me. I was really mad when they announced that...)

People are still saying ranking up is easy and have been saying it for about a year or more. It is ridiculious that survivor objectives are basically "dont afk" while the killer has to play suboptimally to get a double pip or even single pip if one or 2 survivors suicide on hook.
For Survivors its still easy yeah, for Killers it kinda isn't.
You only really need to just play with half a mind to get a pip as a Survivor, as Killer you gotta work for it more.
-
If they removed Prayer Beads, I couldn't care less.
If they don't, I still don't care lmao... I still play the game all the same. A add-on isn't going to stop me.

Dedicated Servers.

I think I preferred the old blood point system for ranking up
It was too easy to get to Rank 1, that's why it was changed.
I honestly prefer getting people in Red Ranks that know what they're doing, rather than potatoes that should be in Green Ranks...

Essentially they are side-grades of each other
Ghostface is more the sneaky ninja type that can use his power to gain a massive advantage at loops and get some key picks. Michael is more a brute force tank with tremendous snow-ball potential and complete control over his power
Both suffer on certain maps but I wouldn't say either is necessarily superior to the other
That's usually the argument that I get, where one believes the other is superior...
But in reality, they both do well in their own ways. And I can agree they're pretty even.
-
I think enough people have complained about it to be changed, and not getting any results... So now they're finally accepting to just get around it.
Of course, we'll still get some stragglers who post about it now and again... DEMANDING! a nerf or something.
Sadly guys, its not going to happen...
-
@Mochan said:
I hate how BHVR caved in to the "popular demand" of it last year.
Sadly it seems a lot of people prefer the bright look, which baffles me to no end.
It doesn't really bother me honestly. That small minor change means nothing in the grand scheme of things, I can still play regardless...
-
Once you know the map, its actually not that bad.
Granted, it does have a fair bit of unsafe pallets though... the ones that can easily be mind-gamed into a hit.
But it does have a fair bit of safe pallets also, you just have to look for them. But yes, the map is in no way noob friendly...
-
Right, lets just nerf him again and restart the cycle.
Come on dude... lets have a compromise here on this one... He deserves the spot-light after being considered the worst killer for 2 years...
